After a recomendation, I contacted Sun Protection for a quote on a porch screen. Dylan came out and was very professional and thorough, immediately gave me a price and promised instillation within 2 weeks. In 10 days installers came out and completed the job with 1 1/2 hours. I LOVE my screens. We have already sat outside at night with the screens down and watched TV without having to run inside due to the mosquitos. I couldnt be happier. 100% perfection from the initial call in for a quote to the installation of our beautiful motorized solar shade. We love our shade screens. The installers said ours was one of the largest they had installed. They did a great job on the install. The guys were very meticulous on details, making sure everything was as it should be. They were very courteous and friendly. We love the privacy it gives us during the day, but most of all it will protect our coach from the sun during these hot summer days. Would recommend this company to anyone.

We couldnt be more pleased with our new motorized lanai screen from Sun Protection of Florida. Our lanai faces due west, and this motorized screen is a game-changer; we can finally sit out there in the later afternoon and not get broiled or blinded by the sun. Great experience from the first consultation through installation! It even came in about a week earlier than estimated. The installers werent able to use our fascia to mount the unit because its a false wall, so they ended up mounting it from the top. They were very creative and professional. It looks and works great. Allows us to sit on the lanai all morning. We thought the price was very reasonable, and with a 10 year warranty on everything, we highly recommend Sun Protection of Florida!

This is a great company to work with, and they sell a quality product. We had a couple of issues with some pre-installation work done by a subcontractor, but SPF sent their own people out to take care of everything. Very happy with our awnings so far.

The SPF installers arrived and began work immediately on our lanai awning. Garrett, Matt, and Sean were extremely efficient and explained all procedures as the installation progressed. They were pleasant and professional. I think I was more concerned about them falling in the pool accidentally since they were working about 2 inches from the edge of the pool. After the installation was complete they cleaned up any dust/debris that was made on the lanai. Garrett installed the battery in the remote control and showed my husband and I how to operate the awning and explained care and warranty of the awning. I really like the screens. I chose one that blocks 95% of UV rays and that makes a huge difference in blocking the intense morning sun/heat. The second screen was for bug purposes and I dont even notice it is there. They explained everything well, they measured twice, we on time every time and Garret and Shawn did a great install job! Would highly recommend.

I love the awning and it was installed the way I thought it would be the way the manager told the workers to install it but I would love for it to be moved back and have to piece of wood moved for me! I did call the company and someone came our that very day and said they would come out and remount it. I have not heard yet when it is scheduled to be done. Thank you for being willing to move the brackets over and back a bit more on the pergola.
Dylan Dean did a very good job explaining the product and helping us place an order. There was a glitch in the installation date, but SPF came through and had our installation the day after the promised date. I always believed that the test of any very good company is what they do after something goes wrong or they make a mistake.The installation crew, Eric, John, and Thomas did an excellent job installing our Awning system.They were also nice enough to move our shades to another location. The reason for the four star rating was the issue of a promised install time and the actual install time. The people in the company I dealt with were very professional and extremely nice. My issue was a delay in production of the 12 foot arms which set back my install window. I would think if you’re running low on these items an order would have been placed well in advance to keep up with demand. Kudos to Garret Iker and his install team however. They were extremely efficient and professional, cleaned up after themselves and the lanai, and Garret took his time explaining the remote system to me as well as the overall system and operation. So I would strongly recommend this company to anyone looking for a beautiful awning! We’ve had it for less than 2 hrs. And are already underneath it in our sunny lanai enjoying !!

When everything goes as planned, its easy... but the real mettle of a company will be evident when things go a bit off kilter and how they react to situations when things get a bit wonky.We had an error on our order... whose error it was, Im not sure, but the one thing I am sure about is that SPF sales, management, and installations handled the situation quickly, efficiently, and professionally and now we have a really great motorized awning.Could not be happier with the folks at SPF and recommend them to you most highly.UPDATE:This awning is awesome... it has changed the whole character of the patio and pool area for the better... the quality is great, and its pretty neat to be able to enjoy company and a wee dram with the included led lighting setting the mood. We just added a motorized awning from SPF to our West facing lanai and we couldnt be happier. Its like we remodeled and added another room to our home for a very low price. In fact, it probably saved us a ton of money cos we were actually considering selling our home and moving. Our lanai was so HOT for 9 months of the year with the sun beating down on it all afternoon, that it was basically unusable. We envied people who had shady patios where they could sit, eat outside, have drinks and socialize....we couldnt do any of those things most of the year. But this awning really changes things.Sure, its still hot outside, but now we are in the shade at least. And by sitting further away from the house you can catch a bit more breeze.Anyway, we are very happy. Ashlyn was a great salesperson and really knows her product....gave us a great price too! The installers were on time, quick, and professional. Id give SPF 6 stars if I could, but theyll have to settle for 5.
I have never reviewed any service or product online, until now. We love, love our motorized awnings and practically live on the lanai now. When we thought there might be a problem with staining of awning, Mark came out and explained what the problem might be. He came back a few days later, cleaned everything and Voila! We had a great experience with Sun Protection of Florida. We had already owned an awning but needed it taken down in order to put on a new roof. They arrived exactly when they said they would and even contacted the roofers to confirm something I was unable to answer. When it was time to put the awning back up they were professional and did a great job. After it was back up, Mark took time to explain how to clean the awning. They certainly deserve a 5 star rating!

Installation and product is good except for the fact what they charge, customer should receive a brand new, nor refurbished awning hand crank that is fabricated heavy like a rebar with a hook on it. I have a large 12 ft window and I’m unable to use the heavy rod they gave me. They could at least get an aftermarket one from Amazon to offer the customer.I would love to post a picture of this thing they gave me, but it doesn’t give the option.** Update: Management contacted me and they’re ordering a replacement crank. Thank you Sun protection of Florida.
SPF has been a dream to work with since we initiated our project! We met the team at the Tampa Home Show and within two weeks we had met with their designer and signed a contract on June 15th, with a delivery date of 4-6 weeks. One month later, on July 15th, Matt, Tyler and Mike came for the installation. The project was installed, every bit of mess was gone, and we were left with the most beautiful power shades for our lanai. We basically added a new room to our house! We would highly recommend.

You cannot go wrong with this awesome company. They arrived when they were scheduled and started the install of a replacement garage door screen. They found an issue with the garage door opening not level from one side to the other by 21/2” they gave use 3 options, install the screen so the housing was level but screen would sag, make it level and fill in the 21/2” space or give our money back.. wow who does that!?We chose to let them cover the space, the service team was out the next day.. to look at it you would never know there was an issue.The whole team from sales to install to the service guys are just great people to do business with.We highly recommend this company.

We have been working with the team at SPF for about 6 years and we cant say enough about how much we appreciate the entire company. As the photo shows, we had 5 panels of powered sun shades installed on our lanai. The lanai faces WSW so we get lots of late afternoon sun and beautiful sunsets. Unfortunately, despite double-paned and tinted glass, afternoons in the main floor of the house were uncomfortable. Our a/c would run continuously but never get ahead of the heat of the sun. When we considered sun screens we contacted a couple of companies in the area but knew immediately that SPF was the one. We live on SRQ Bay and, as such, have a near constant breeze/wind. One panel of the motorized shade spans an area 13 tall by 25 wide. SPF worked with their providers to develop a custom solution that worked without acting as a giant sail. 6 years later, we are still thrilled with the shades. Our electricity bill is down and we can actually enjoy our living space again. Last week I called to schedule a service call as our dog had chewed through the rubber gasket at the bottom of the largest screen. We were scheduled for the service manager, Mark Heisig, to be at our home between 9 and 11am. Mark called at 8:43am to let me know he was on his way and arrived before 9am. The service, as usual, was thorough, courteous, and professional. Mark took the time to walk me through what he had done (in addition to replacing the gasket) to make sure I didnt have any questions. Thats the way SPF does business and we are lifetime customers as a result. You cannot go wrong working with family-owned and operated SPF!
Great Awning. Very Happy with the end result. At first we got an unmotivated sale person that did not spend the time with us or answer the questions we had. I called and expressed my concern. Immediately one of the owners Ashlyn came out to resolve the situation. OMG., I am super impressed with her and the company. In the end we got a Great awning at a great price. You will not be disappointed.

We just got a wonderful awning from SPF installed. It has been an amazing experience from the beginning to the end. The first meeting with the sales guy was super positive. The installation of the awning by Garrett, Matthew and John was just mind-boggling. They installed to perfection a 25ft awning in just 1h and 10 min!!! And the time from ordering the awning to installations has been just about 3 weeks! Amazing, amazing, amazing!!! Best company I have ever dealt with!!!
Absolutely wonderful help from the technician over the phone. We need a new remote control for a home we purchased on Longboat Key. He did a fabulous tutorial and we are good to go! Love the awning and the help.
From the first person I talked with until the last ,everyone was exceptionally professional. The job was done much faster than I expected and I can’t believe the difference our solar shades have made. We think they are the greatest. The best solar shades and the best people.
