After visiting they gave me my insurance allowances but after the exam the next day I was told it was out of network. How in the world does that escape the initial evaluation. Glasses are ok, since I already did the exam I had not choice but go through with it. Then what I received in regards to quality is depicted below. The lense isn’t even fitted well, I’m arcade to push it into the frame. Now I’m stuck with half worked glasses… been looking forward to this for so long and I get a lack of care. Depressing.

Beautiful, clean place. Great selection of glasses, and easy to order contacts, ect. Staff is nice and I must say, Stephanie, always goes above and beyond for me, and knows how to build a great customer relationship. Not 5 stars due to the sign in the door, 😷

Called in and got customer service like I was a VIP astronaut or something. Edith took the time to get all my information from optometrists in the back and my insurance info on file. Saved me a trip down there and seriously, went above and beyond. Tell your friends! Also, someone at Eyeglass World get Edith a pizza party or something. You need more employees like EDITH!

I called Eyeglass World in a panic because I woke up this morning with broken eyeglasses and am literally blind without them! The lady on the phone told me to come in right away. One hour later I had an eye exam, then the sweetest girl helped me pick out frames that worked for my budget. Came back two hours later (ON THE SAME DAY YALL) and both pairs were perfect! Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. Thank you ladies for helping me to see again!!

They got me in quickly! Had my exam and chose out my glasses. They gave me my first pair that same day and my other pair the next day. They are all so good at what they do. They were quick and efficient. Definitely glad I found them and super glad they were able to get me in that same day I called. Most definitely recommend anyone to go there because they know customer service.

It’s the employees that set this location apart. Everyone is so kind and engaging. I feel like I’m visiting friends when I walk in! Dr. Elizabeth has been there for many many years and knows her stuff!! Her assistants are sweethearts and the ladies out front are literally the best!! This was going to be an expensive endeavor and they needed to be just right. These ladies made it happen effortlessly.They seemed to enjoy helping me pick my frames as much I enjoyed picking them. We tried on a lot! They were professional the whole time yet there was a lot of laughter. It was like trying on frames with a friend.They were also quick to catch a mistake that had been made at the lab with my lenses. While I did have to wait a little extra to get my glasses I feel confident that they are worth the wait. Knowing that I won’t have to come back for an unsuspected problem is great. What’s even better is knowing that if anything does come up- they will happily fix it.I happily recommend them, 100%.

Went there in november and then in june had to renew my driver license. I almost lost my driver license due to not passing the eye exam .. Within 6 months? Also I have worn contacts my whole life and the contacts i was recommend by the doctor were biofinity and i purchased a year supply and these contacts are the worse . if you even touch your eye lid the contact folds in half on your eye. Its either the contact its self or wrong measurements . Got a copy of my retinal imaging and am going to lens crafters .

I went there because they had the specific brand/style of glasses that I had been looking for. They do have a great selection and the saleswoman I had was helpful in picking out glasses. However, thats pretty much the only thing going for them. I have severe astigmatism and my eyes are extremely sensitive so the fitting of the glasses is very important. But they have absolutely no clue how to fit them. I spent about $500 on two pairs of glasses but because they are fitted incorrectly they give me the vision is off, theyre too tight and they give me headaches. I went there to get them refit and another sales woman took my glasses and just started bending them with pliers! She bent one arm completely out of line, totally crooked and handed them back. I could not believe it. I showed her, so she took them back, bent them some more and handed them back. I said oh thats great thank you and left. I wanted to get my other glasses that I got there refit as well but there was no way that I was going to let her touch them. The glasses that she fixed now have a gap between the earpiece and the arm because of the way she bent it. I absolutely will never go back there. I have never been so disappointed in my life and I have been wearing glasses for two decades!

Ive been wearing glasses for many years, and by far this is the best experience Ive had in getting my eyeglass prescription filled. I picked up my glasses yesterday, and today I just had to call Sheri to say what a wonderful job she did ! Sheri was professional and knowledgeable and took great care to take the measurements once I selected my frames. When I walked into the store I told Sheri what I had in mind and she spent time helping me select the perfect pair. No pressure. She helped me narrow down the choices and gave me time to decide. She double checked measurements and it was obvious to me when I put on the glasses that they were perfect. Not always so easy with progressive lenses. The woman who helped me yesterday fit the glasses was terrific also, having me look around and read a chart with various sizes, but the real test was when I got home and was wearing my new glasses with my own computer and my own book. Sheri did a fabulous job. Thank you. This is definitely the place Ill return to for my eyeglasses!

Everyone was friendly and the service was great. Priscilla was great and was very helpful and willing to help me choose the right frames for me. I felt like I had the red carpet treatment, not only choosing the frames, but when I went to pick them up as well. Great group of people. Highly recommend.

Quite the experience! Two years ago, I got my eye exam and glasses at another establishment and I was there for almost four hours. I am so happy I went to Eyeglass World. The staff was friendly, caring, and efficient. I was in and out in forty minutes. I can see clearly now! Thank you, very much. The best deal anywhere!

Worst customer service I have had in a long time, staff comes off is if they are forced to be there. They are not friendly and act irritated when you ask questions. They rush you as if your just a sales number. If you dont like the job then work somewhere else where you dont have to interact with with people and the community. I will not return once I pick up my glasses.

Im not sure if theres a new team here in bradenton eye glass world but Im not too fond of the serviceIm receiving. They dont seem to be considerate of ALL of their customers,maybe if I had insurance,we all know how that goes. Ive informed them yesterday that I faced the dilemma of paying for medicines OR contacts because I cant afford both.which would you do?. I have other real bills you know?. 800$child support. Rent. Car note/ins. Etc etcAs if the stress of the pandemic isnt enough.The store manager got on the phone and told me theres absolutely nothing she can do for me because my eye exam date expired. I responded, between my medicine and the contacts I only had enough for one and that Im now walking around with one contact lens in and only asking for a trial pair until I got up the money. Theres nothing I can do is what she told me.smh wow! So the next day I get up the money (forced to borrow for my lens) and after trying to schedule me for Friday and I inquire about a walk in she just.. seem to put out information to make me lean towards saying you know what,dont worry about it,which I eventually did. Yesterday I got a headache from having one correcting lens and one naked eye. Very professional,even in their rejection to needy customers. Theyve perfected the art. Now instead of 3 miles I have to drive 10 + to Sarasota with hopes of a little bit more of customer love so to speak.If it was a family member of theirs,or someone with great insurance,Im sure they would pull a couple strings for a one time exception or something with the person. Its not like Im known for doing this! This is my first time..just really down bad right now financially. IDK. Im just a bit disgusted. Do better.(I dont need a sweet-laced professional apology from your computer person. As they are only made to be seen by others,its not genuine. Just do better.)

I did not go wrong in visiting Eye Glass World for my examination and first order of Progessive Contact Lens. They explained every scenario to switching to progressive. I greatly appreciated it and with them being honest of what to expect and what they may or may not do, I was really concerned that the progressives may not be the way to go.After recieving my progressive contacts, I was blown away, im near sighted but now I had distance at 20/20 and without reading glasses, I can read a magazine and newspaper without my 200 power reading glasses. I still use the reading glasses when Im in a dim lighted area or room, outside of that my vision is like someone that dont need glasses or contact.Thanks to all at Eyeglass World in Bradenton,Florida on U.S. 41 across from Desoto Mall.

I went into Eyeglass World at the Bradenton Florida store and Sabrena assisted me with fixing my broken glasses at no charge even though I had not purchased them there. She was very helpful and very pleasant. I just moved to the area and didnt have an eyeglass provider and my first impression was very good.

This was our first time visiting Eyeglass World. My mom has dementia and it can be difficult for her to stay focused and engaged in conversation. We used another office for her exam because of insurance and it was a difficult and frustrating experience. Because of this, I did not have high expectations coming to eyeglass world. The young lady that assisted us was wonderful. I explained my concerns and she was very patient and made sure my mom was included and felt comfortable throughout the process of choosing glasses and picking options for the lenses. She made small talk and had my mom smiling the entire time. I appreciate the extra time your representative spent with us to make this an easy and seamless experience.

People are great quality is horrible my 79.99 for 2pair cost almost 300.00 one pair fell Apart on 2nd week other pair now has a lenz falling out and arm coming off not even 6 months in

This place is horrible! They dont clean any different than before covid and all they do is take your temperature when you come in. The only person that washed their hands was the Dr. None of the other staff used hand sanitizer or anything. I had my own wipes and was careful to clean for myself... very disappointed. My sunglasses are a completely different rx.. . Still trying to get them corrected. Dont go if youre not planning on spending extra money.

Very impressed with the way the entire staff handles the new normal. They are all wearing PPE . The store is fresh, clean, open and has a tremendous amount of frames to choose from. Dr. Vawter gives an excellent, thorough exam. Stephanie and all the other staff members are always helpful and attentive. Eye Glass World lied to make an appointment, stating my insurance was accepted at their Bradenton FL location. Then after giving services state my insurance is not preferred insurance, which means they charged me $120. What a scam, never again!!! BEWARE

Eyeglass World was great. I didnt really have any expectations, but my experience overall was super! In and out in about an hour, which included my exam, picking out my lenses, and placing my order. The eye doc was quick but thorough. Stephanie was the one who helped me place my order, and she was very friendly and knowledgeable about insurance and what was covered. This place is amazing. My husband had a terrible Halloween accident involving wig hair and his eye. We were able to be seen promptly and when seen was given the upmost care. We appreciate the Dr. on call and everything she did for us. Due to her care his eye will be saved!

Well I bought 4 pairs of glasses. I expected to be able to read when I put them on like I could when I had my vision examined. Not the case. After an hour of trying to get my glasses adjusted and then taking away the sheet from me that I was supposed to read my glasses are crooked. And now 4 days later I still cannot read. I called Eyeglass World in Bradenton (where I had my eyes checked and then bought glasses) and she told me (Nay) that I wont be able to read for a week! It’s odd to me that during my eye examination I could read, but now I cannot. A true waste of $1,000.I am trying to get in touch with the Eye doctor within the Eyeglass world to come in and find out what the problem is. However I will need to wear my old glasses so I am not vomiting and the horrible headache is gone. Who would go through this pain for a week?!?! I will update this review on its resolution.

In light of these difficult times we live in, I was very impressed with the safety precautions taken by the staff... everyone was kind and very aware of the needs of the customers.

Stephanie was amazing! So knowledgeable and helpful. We took both grandkids in to get their first prescription glasses. We were not rushed, the Dr. was very kind, tech was awesome and playful with the kids. Just a wonderful experience. Plus, the prices were fantastic!!! We will be back.

This is the best one stop place to get glasses (huge selection) and an eye exam. We’re a family of 5 and require a little more maintenance and patience for our visits. The doctors and staff are super friendly and patient...ESPECIALLY Stephanie!!! She is very professional, knowledgeable, patient, kind and always provides superior customer service, which is VERY hard to find these days!! I highly recommend them...some of us in the family have been patients and customers of theirs for almost 15 years.

This is the first time an associate took the time to help me pick out frames that actually fit the shape, and size of my face. After waiting 14 days for my eyeglass order, I received an automated call that my eyeglasses were ready for pick-up. However, when I got to the store, the sunglasses I had ordered were just two lenses, not mounted in the frame I had ordered and paid for. I had to wait an additional hour for them to mount the lenses into the frames. Then, I had to request that they now clean the lenses before delivery, as they were presented very much smudged...

I visited last week and a newer young lady helped me with my Sons glasses. She was phenomenal! She was very kind! Her Customer service skills were far above my expectations after reading the reviews on here! Her name started with an R, but it was a weird name. Thank you for your help!

Just finished up with Katie at Eyeglass World. I must say that it is refreshing to work with someone who is Professional, Personable, and Knowledgeable about the product that they sell. I later found out that Katie is the General Manager after finishing my transaction. It all starts at the top! Katie is a prime example of true customer service.

There are not enough stars available to adequately describe the experience I have each and every time I visit eyeglass world. After being extremely disappointed from a prior company, I was truly blown away. I’ve been a customer for a few years now and couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. Their customer service, kindness and willingness to always go the extra mile truly set them aside from other optical stores. In my years I’ve referred everyone I know and have not had one unpleasant experience. They truly care about their clients and are without a doubt the best in the business. Dr. V is the best doctor I’ve ever met, and the staff is truly exceptional. I genuinely look forward to every visit I make and couldn’t imagine going anywhere else !

Got eye check and ordered glasses.

This store and the staff are phenomenal! Every question is answered! The staff is very knowledgeable and has great suggestions for glasses! I will always be a customer. The store manager Katie is the best I have ever seen in any store. She is knowledge and her staff reflect her hard work. The store reflects the staffs hard work too.

Dr was great. She was slammed the day I went but apologized for me waiting. The retail part however was a horrible and frustrating experience! I will NEVER go here again nor would I recommend anyone to go!! I originally bought a pair of glasses and brought in my own Ray bans sunglasses to have them put in lenses. I loved my glasses ! But when i got my sunglasses back, the lenses were so loose you could literally move them back and forth and were so loose fitting on my face! I asked for them to tighten them and the lady tried tightening them but bent the side of my frame leaving a very noticeable dent and on top of it my Ray Bans symbol popped out. And still were extremely loose to the point if I bent down they would fall off! I complained to the manager and they said they would replace the frame. Couple of weeks in I went to put my glasses on and when I opened my glasses one side of my frame snapped off!! I went in and they said being the fact I had a warranty they would replace the frame. But mind you, this was not my doing, I literally opened my glasses up!! They replaced the frame and after getting them the frame was bent inward on the bottom lenses part so that when I smiled my check would touch the bottom of the frame. I also could not closed them completely and they would not fit in the case. Went in to show them and all they did was bend the sides. Now my Glasses are bent and still are bent towards my face! I had asked for my money back as this whole experience has been horrible and i Hate having to go back and forth with them and the thought of having to deal with another pair frustrates me more than ever. They said the general manager is the only one who can decide that. So i will find out tomorrow!! Went home with even worse glasses than when I went in and the glasses that are not even 5 days old! Never again.

We were so happy in this place. My son and husband are patients there since 3 years ago. It’s not a cheap place but we did not care because we received a good costumer service. I went there last week to buy al least one pair of contact lenses for my husband because he lost his last ones and he is working every day until first week of January. The girl told me “ I’m sorry but his prescription is expired” I can get fired if I do that” i told her the doctor told me that now the prescription are for 2 years and my husband is just one year Old. Then she answer yes, but this new policy is for the new prescriptions, I’m sorry. I did not ask for a gift, I asked to buy one until he can go there first week of January and pay for his prescription that it is going to last 2 years. I think is unfair, he is uncomfortable without lenses.

Have been here for 2 years now & each experience has been very professional. I got both contacts & glasses & the Dr was very knowledgeable & the staff so helpful, taking the time to help me pick out glasses! My only concern is that when I was there on a Saturday, the phone was ringing off the hook & I think it would be helpful to have a staff member to just field the phone calls. I work in healthcare also & do not like to answer phones when I am with a patient...its taking the customer service away from the person in front of you & the person on the phone! Also, Priscilla was especially kind & helpful! Highly recommend this place, great selection of glasses, almost too many to choose from!

I took my daughter to see Dr. Vawt. They were able to get me in the same day I called. All the staff was friendly. They were on time and addressed all my concerns. She had somewhat of an emergency and I felt like they cared and were sensitive to us both.

My son had a really hard time with contacts and the staff took extra time with my son, two different sets of trial contacts until they found the one that worked best for him, and three different appointments until they knew he was comfortable with the contacts. Would recommend to anyone. They really went the extra mile.

I loved the treatment I received from the doctor side I would give them 5 stars. also I received great customer service from the retail side. You ask why only 1 star? I was never asked if I wanted the eyeglass protection on my glasses it was just added to my invoice. $40 extra dollars! I noticed when I got home. How many people do they do this to on a daily basis with out them noticing. I sure the sales person gets a kick back from this. They did take it off my bill but I think that is because I complained. Make sure you check your invoice!

Before coming to Eyeglass World we had visited two other places, but were very discouraged with poor service and less than impressive quality. Our experience here was excellent!! Courtni was extremely helpful and patient, and worked hard to find us the best glasses for the best price possible. We’ll be coming back soon for the rest of our family’s eyewear needs.

The girls handling the front of the store PATHETIC. My wife and I searched for an hour looking for glasses. Found two frames for her , was asked 1 time from 1 girl how we were . That was it for attention. We stood with the frames obviously in our hands for 10 minutes after finally being skipped for another group that just walked in . One girl obviously was just rude and having a bad day, the other I guess just liked the other people better. What ever we drove to eyeglass world university got her glasses ordered there with friendly service. I suggest going to the one on university or just take your chances that maybe one of the people on the floor in Bradenton will feel bias towards you and want to help, Good Luck.

Warning. Long review. First off, the optometrist portion of this location is fantastic. Doctors are knowledgable and friendly. The rest cannot be stated for the front end customer service/sales area. At first all seemed well, and after paying for my glasses and contacts, I was informed it would be 8-10 business days. 3 weeks later, no phone call. I called the store and was informed that they were not in and would have to be reordered. Week 4. Still no word. I call the clinic again and am informed they never arrived and would have to be reordered. Courtney on the phone was nice and professional but to say I was irritated is an understatement. I called back and asked for my Rx and a refund as I would be getting them elsewhere as this was rediculous. While on the phone with me, the contacts were located. Had I not called back, they would have been reordered. I went into the store same day and customer service was abysmal. A girl was seated at the table closest to the door, with no customer in front of her, she looked at me and said nothing. Many employees had customers and I understand being busy. When I asked her where I should go to pick up contacts, she appeared irritated/confused I was talking with her and proceeded to tell me just to sit somewhere and someone would be with me. I observed a number of other employees appear irritated with the volume of customers. I waited for 22 minutes before someone was free long enough to acknowledge my presence. When I asked for the contacts that were ordered, politely, they could not be found. Thank you to the associate in the Optometrist station for knowing where they were. He located them. I was then told apparently no one but him could read the handwriting. Needless to say I will return here to see the excellent Optometrists but will otherwise take my Rx elsewhere.

We wanted to share our sincerest appreciation for Eye Glass Worlds and Stephanies caring and kind contribution. After a tragic accident took the life of our friend, a Bradenton 28 year old mother, Stephanie and EGW provided a generous donation for a silent auction to benefit our friends 8 month old son. However, she didnt stop there. Stephanie took the time to package the gift certificate and merchandise into a beautiful basket display. It was more than we could have ever expected. I am a recent customer at Eyeglass World of Bradenton,FL but I drive from Wimauma,FL just to go to this location because of Stephanie. All the staff have good customer service but Stephanie goes above and beyond to make sure her customers are satisfied. My whole family that lives in same area as me specifically go to this store because of her customer service. Thank you Stephanie for all your help with my recent string of bad luck, you are the best.

Waited for like an hour to be helped by someone.

When we went in to look at glasses we had to wait forever for a person to show us each pair of glasses that were locked. They would give us one pair and then walk off to handle something else. We came back the next day for an appointment, I called to let them know that I was running late for an appointment. They asked if we could make it by 6. I said yes. We were 6:03 because we had to wait for the red light in front of their business forever. THE DR LEFT BEFORE WE GOT THERE!!!! We drove an hour to get there and she left after I had called to tell her we were on our way! What a joke! We will not be back here ever!!!!

TTook both of my teenage children here for contacts. We got the same doctor both times and she was really nice. Since we had to order their contact lenses, they gave us 2 months worth of contacts free of charge. Their orders were both in on time and only took about a week. Overall, they treated us great! I will be taking all of my family eye ware needs to them exclusively in the future.

I am so happy the have had Dr. Vawter as my eye doctor. She took the time to explain what was going on with my eyes and answered all of my questions. She didnt rush or seem impatient at all. She didnt cut corners or give hurried answers just to get rid of you like some doctors that I have seen. She really cares about you as a person and wants whats best for your eye health. She took the time and went out of her way to help me find the best way of setting up an appointment with an ophthalmologist to find out why my optic nerve was inflamed. She really went the extra mile to help me and for that I will ALWAYS be grateful and thankful for Dr. Vawter. Is Eyeglass world open on Sundays now because it keeps sending me to voicemail but Google says open Sunday from 12 to 5 And also says it on the eyeglass world sign in front of the building

The only thing I liked was one of the ladies there since she had a professional attitude and was easy to talk to. They dont tell you the price of things before you do them so youll be surprised with the bill and the doctor there either didnt listen to me because he wanted to tell me his life story or he heard me and forgot what I said 5 minutes later.They screw with your prescriptions as well so you HAVE to come back. You think theyre treating your lens properly before you pick them up? HA, I watched a chick drop someones eye glass lens on the ground and didnt bother to pick them up until she was done looking through the other boxes. She didnt like when I pointed that out either.Dont go if youre expecting a fast and not that expensive. I should of paid $175 and ended up paying nearly $400 for both the eye exam and glasses

This place is horrible. Yeah they have good deals on glasses but the customer service is horrible. They assume your prescription and preferences so they can gouge money. They perform tests then tell you oh hey its going to be a 60 dollar co pay after the test is done so youre stuck paying it. The safe bet is Wal-Mart. Cuz this place is absolutely the worst place to get glasses.

Im not much of a review writer so short and sweet it is. reanna greeted us at the door with a smile and walked us back to the appointment area. she helped us again when we came from the back, she asked us how our appointments went and made sure we understood everything we needed or that was recommended to us. she was refreshingly honest and i didnt feel like i was being forced to get something i didnt need. she was fantastic and extremely polite. thanks reanna
