The last time I went in to Safeway, I was really impressed with the people working at the deli. A nice lady named Alicia hooked me up with some delicious mac and cheese and chicken tenders, I will definitely be going back.

A great place to shop. Their prices are a bit high on some items. Yet they have a wide selection of food. Deli items are quite good. And they have excellent store brands. Making them one of the best grocery stores in Bozeman, MT.

This Safeway used to have an incredible Montana Bobcats gear section. Its all gone now. The cost of food in the store is higher than competitors, so I walked in - saw the lack of MSU Bobcats items, and turned around and walked out. I needed a few things, but driving down the street and getting everything I need at one location was worth it, and cheaper for my wallet

I didnt do a full shipping trip because only a few items were needed. The store was very well organized and clean. Nice work food store!

Clean, well lighted, great deals on multiple item purchases, pharmacy was very busy, but the kind, courteous and highly competent staff made my experience worth the wait.

I was out of town and ended up in Bozeman today on my daughters 4th birthday. I called the bakery around 11:30am and asked about a unicorn birthday cake. Even though it was last minute the nice lady (I forget her name) still made it for her and did an amazing job. My husband picked it up by 2:30pm. We were super happy and grateful :)

They sell food and I love food so thats 5 stars from me.

We miss not having them in Tampa area. Was good to shop there again.

I come here when my regular grocery store doesnt have something. The reason I dont come here all time is its not the closest to my house. But they have everything.

The only item that I wasnt able to find here is coconut cream. Not the stuff in the can, but the stuff that is found in the dairy section. Other than that this store has it all. One of the best produce sections in town.

I try to use the deli because they have boars head. Ive been frustrated with the staff enough times to skip the boars head.

Great place to shop

Safeway is on par with its competition for sure. It gets better when you get your safeway club card. I find their salad bar to be the best price in town, so Im hoping they add to it and make it great! Unfortunately they took away their chick peas which will probably force me to other salad bars. Since January 2019 they seem to have dropped the ball on the salad bar, Im barely hanging in there. Additionally they sometimes only come in a dollar under Rosaurers, which is sitll substantial depending on how you gauge that... the thing is, its very much inferior to their salad bar. If you compare their inventory to Town and Country which is just across the street, they have more options, at a higher price.

Great place for most any kind of basic food. They even have a fresh cooked food section where you can get a meal for 2 at only 10$. Thats a steal

Recently the store had a coloring contest that two of my children entered. The store called to tell them they win and their generous prizes were very appreciated. Thanks for that gesture.

4 stars because the customer service is phenomenal and they have a huge variety of items. Aside from those two positives, it should be noted that this store is incredibly expensive. Perhaps im just accustomed to Minnesota grocery stores but $5 for a 6pk of 16.9oz bottles of Pepsi is ludacris.

Typical Safeway. Maybe a bit cleaner than some. Seems larger than average size with good selection.

Being that I live across the street from Safeway this is my go-to I go grocery shopping theyre consistently they always have everything I need and their butcher is a very phenomenal person when it comes to selecting my Alaskan king crab legs or my steaks I need it for the weekend

Cheaper than other groceries and the people are so nice

Nice place. Nice employees. A bit too pricey. In my opinion, a last resort kind of a place if you just cant find that one food item anywhere else.

Really nice! After these last snow storms I was trying to find a safe place to shop that I wont Slip on sheets of Ice. I almost broke my back last year and dont want that to happen again. Safeway is ice free this year and my new Safe place to shop!! Recommend to anyone with mobility problems or just need a safe place to shop without slipping on sheets of ice!!!

Higher prices and laid out different than most other stores

I came here a few times during my week in Bozeman, and I love Safeway! Theres a lot of choices as usual, and prices are quite normal. I grabbed some jalapeno bread, two donuts, and theres $5 sushi! I got a spicy California crunch roll and a spicy tuna roll. Not the best sushi of course but what can one expect. The bread and donuts were delightful though, as usual. Theres plenty of self-checkout lines, which makes getting groceries here quite efficient.

Nice grocery store

Ive been shopping here for almost 2 years, and Ive honestly never had an issue grabbing groceries and getting out. I do use the self checkout, but my visits total 30min at the MOST. Its always been clean, and I have seen staff interact positively with guests many times.

They still struggle with occasional empty shelves, but for the most part they have what I need and more. I get annoyed by idiot and selfish anti-maskers running around, but then again this is Montana.

I stayed in Bozeman in August and this was the grocery store that I chose to go to because I love Safeway! What really upset me was the fact that I wasn’t even acknowledged by the cashier, never once said a word to me while I was checking out, nor did she try to make eye contact with me, as a colored person that’s definitely upsetting and made me feel sad and uncomfortable. I went in for water bottles and razors, I got the water bottles, but I forgot the razors, after my transaction I no longer wanted to go back and get my razors, I made my way over to Albertsons. Sad that this still happens!!

I end up here most every day, especially when Town and Country on campus or the Co-Op is closed. They dont have a ton of options for food allergy folks, but whatever I usually end up deciding I need is almost always on sale. I dont ever bring my Safeway card, they just let us use the guest card every time. Definitely better than Walmart!

Safeway Starbucks Staffs Great! Their Staffs Habits Horrific! Couldnt contact Abertsons, Safeway how dissapointed the Outside Patio areas neglect. without filing a Birth certificate and Blood sample.. So Nosey Google Maps jumped in.. Ha. This will detour me to Grocers that DONT rely on their Staff to prepare foods, drinks etc.....

Excellent store great selection and service

Safeway is a fine enough store. I used the app to help with writing a list, finding savings, and so forth. Using the app also tells me where the items on my list are. That is really helpful

Deli service wasn’t good. Maybe the clerk working yesterday, 05/24 at around 1:45, just wasn’t having a good day but he was rude to me and the person I was with like we were an inconvenience to him because we wanted food in one of the hot cases. I understand things are rough with all that’s going on, but that still doesn’t excuse him from projecting his negative attitude towards other people. Such a weird experience.

As is important during such a crucial time, Safeway manages to keep their customers safe, while also still providing the services needed by the community. Its easy to join their membership, and save even more on your groceries, allowing you to buy more.

I only usually go to the pharmacy. But the service there is amazing.

The location in Bozeman is nice, but some of the food location doesnt make sense. An example is the crackers located by frozen food sections, but chips and some other snack foods on the opposite side of the store by produce. Deals can be found, but you have to have a club card or registration via phone number. The store itself is fairly clean. The staff were pleasant to interact with.

The GM manager really knows his stuff. Great job.

Wow! They turned this onto an upscale grocery. You wont be disappointed. Its what I imagine a whole foods would be like if I was the type. Nicest supermarket Ive been in.

Had a water i was helping with needed many pallets of water. They were very responsive and helpful. Additionally had the largest water supply on hand. The taller brunette manager lady (Alina???) personally helped hand load all of it. I was very impressed!

Super clean, pretty good variety of food, home and hygiene items and very friendly staff. They also have a deli, including really good Chinese food. Theres also a bakery, meat dept. flower shop and a Starbucks in the store. I love that they usually have several cashiers working as well as several self checkout lanes. If you dont like waiting in lines this is a great store for you, I never have to wait in lines at this store. The prices are higher than Walmart, but not crazy high. The way I view it is that you pay a few extra dollars for a high quality shopping experience. I shop at this store several times a week and definitely recommend it!Also, download the app because if you link your Safeway card to the app you actually earn cash back rewards or free items based on how much youve spent. I recently had a $7 off coupon!

Our Safeway is a great store. They usually have what Im looking for. Theyre in a convenient location and I usually go there for the Starbucks. The only thing keeping them from a perfect five stars for me is their self-checkouts. For some reason theyre really finicky when you move items around, which usually results in a worker needing to clear the error, so its best to avoid, even though its the method Id prefer.

Between the store layout, and the extremely welcoming and helpful employees, the Bozeman Safeway is an excellent grocer.

Store well laid out with fast service with a smile. Stopped in for pharmecy service, Drs had just called in script, pharmecy completed it w/in 5-minutes. Food from deli and asian kitchen smelled so good. Sushi was fresh, General Tsoas chicken hit the mark. Everyone in deli very friendly. Store maked me miss mispent, youthful college days in Bozeman. Remember when original Safeway was closer in town center, this Safeway just as good.

Everything you need for groceries

Not good customer service. We had a fun time dealing with a bitter old man named Mark. Unprofessional, bossing us around, never smiled back or treated me with any returning kindness.

Good selection of meats and fresh vegetables pre cut or seasoned. Also good bakery and sushi.

We went to the supermarket around6:30 pm on a weekday to get a cake and the worker (Chris) could literally help us with nothing! He couldn’t call some one to help us, gave us no useful information and basically said he could box it or not! I have never had this experience before and will not be going back!!!
