We had Ed come and install a Dog Watch fence for our golden retriever puppy. It has already been a game changer for us! Ed installed it super fast (and without any noticeable disturbance to our yard) and was amazing at teaching us how to train her on the fence. Gentlemen was on time very knowledgeable about the underground fencing we put in for our dogs. He explained about the product and worked with us to get it done just the way we needed it for our dogs. He was quick about scheduling and getting it done, explained everything in detail to make it an easy to train our dogs, actually took our dogs out one by one to show us exactly how to make this new fencing successful. We met them at a home shoe. We were provided information on how it works . got our 13 acres fenced so our dog could roam freely. Work done efficiently. He took time to show us how to train our dog. I would not hesitate using them again.

The first vendor we encountered at the Great Falls 2021 Home Show was Dog Watch of Montana. Ed and my husband talked at length about the features of Dog Watch fencing. We did not want an above ground electric fence due to a variety of wildlife that cross our property. Eds product fit our requirements for Paxx the Pound Pooch. He gave us a general quote. We made an appointment for site quote. Upon early arrival Ed reviewed our property and his initial estimate was very close to his firm site quote. We have about 14 acres that needed the entire perimeter activated.Paxx is a Big City dog learning to be a country pooch. He is ACD and an Afternoon Delight. He has a tendency to chase other creatures that he believes should stick around and play with him. He took an unauthorized 3 day vaca with the local deer that left us very stressed. Of course being cattle dog he can think and make decisions on his own. Although they may not be the most wise. Therefore, the need for a safety barrier around our property.Ed took about 4 to 5 hours to finish the installation. Then came the test for Paxx and the human training for us. Paxx was programmed for an intensity that would be considered a good level for a pet with a malleable brain. He heard the tone but broke the barrier with little repercussion. Heelers are different brain and mine is no exception. Ed increased the intensity. Paxx learned the routine very quickly. Training time takes about a week or two depending on the human availability.Paxx was initiated about 3 times to the barrier and then would NEVER leave our side. As the days grew and he has learned the areas of travel at his new home. Each day he adventures out a little more.He initially hated the training collar. As the days progress he is beginning to understand the training collar means FREEDOM to smell all kinds of new scents. We are grateful in Great Falls for Dog Watch of Montana. For seven months Paxx and the human (dad) would have to go out on a leash for his business. The snow started in October 2020. Morning temperatures for a good portion of February were 20 to negative 40 degrees. Now Paxx can navigate independently for his daily ablutions.When you invest in Dog Watch of Montana fencing make sure the training collar is on every time your pet is outside. We are very happy with our new Dogwatch fence, and beyond impressed with the customer service. We must have put in our fence order at just the right time because Ed was able to come over the SAME day and install our fence! He was very helpful when I needed to troubleshoot some training with one of our dogs, and he came over right away when my super chewer got to her collar. We were able to have a consult with Ed about what each type of system would perform. We opted for the little bit more expensive one so we could see how active our dog was during the day. We are really impressed with Dog Watch. We called them on a Sunday, expecting to leave a message. Instead the call was answered. Ed took the time to answer all our questions and explain the services he provides. By the end of the call, we were put on his schedule for the following Wednesday. The system works quickly. Our 1 year old German Shepard is both a fast learner and a little nervous. We only had to walk him around the perimeter for 4 days before he knew the collar was designed to have him stay on grass. Plays on grass well and will not cross over! Feel safe

Loving my new Dog Watch fence so much!! It is everything I never knew I needed. My life is so much more settled. Ed has been phenomenal in making sure our two boxers are safe in our yard. We’ve had a DogWatch fence for a year and haven’t had a single problem with the product. He’s quick to answer any questions we’ve had and when landscapers accidentally cut the underground wire while aerating (even though the yard was flagged), Ed was out to fix it for us despite the snow on the ground. He’s incredibly professional and truly passionate about what he does.

Everything about DogWatch is QUALITY! I have numerous friends with other containment systems. They spend more time troubleshooting and repairing it, than they do enjoying the freedom DogWatch gives me.From the time Ed showed up (right on time), until he left, was a good experience. Look at the materials used and youll see why its so highly rated. This is not flimsy wire. Its cable. Mechanically laid, so its consistent and deep enough to avoid damage short of a backhoe rampage. Ed walked my wife and I, and our two Labradors, Chitlins and Boo through the training. We followed up as outlined, and the girls have not left the yard since unless theyre with us, even when tempted by the mischievous Cottontails they love to chase! To ice the cake, when Ed is doing an install in the area, he gives me a call to make sure everything is working right. we would not go with any other product, or dealer.

We talked to them at the home show and booked an appointment. They came out and installed the fence, they were fast and efficient. There is quite a bit of training involved in getting your pets used to the fence, but once that part is over the fence has been great. They are respecting the boundaries and the flags have still held up surprisingly well; want to keep them up as long as possible to make sure they know the boundaries. My dogs are high energy hunting dogs out most of the time, so their worriless freedom has been a game changer for me! My fence is .47 of a mile, so dont worry if you fence a large area it works! My only complaint is that the system updates every hour, so you dont know about a breach until an hour has passed & can be set up to 24 hrs. I live in the country & in an hour my dogs could be 1/2 way to Great Falls, I feel it needs to alert immediately. I dont leave my dogs outside when Im gone so its working out but still would be nice. I have a lot of wind where we are located, and at first I was worried about the loudness of the beep on the collars. We couldnt hear the beeps as humans, and first thought the collars werent working. I asked about turning the tone up, but there is no volume control, only one setting. My dogs had a sport dog shock collar set previously and they were used to the loud beeps they heard as warnings, that were also audible to us & quite loud. They had an adjustment period as they seemed to ignore or not hear the beeps at first on the new collars. I have both smart collars & a regular for my daughters dog & both work well. I was excited to track the dogs on my smart phone, but didnt realize that the only text u will get is if the battery is low in the collar; if they breach the perimeter you dont get a text - System shows a line on the activity for your dog & it is based on 24 clock so in the tattletale section there is a line with 12pm 6pm 12am 6am the notches in between show around the time frame, but its hard to tell if they got a beep for being in the avoidance area, or exactly what happened. I have noticed usually if they should breach the perimeter the line is longer. Luckily I am always home when they are out so it works out for me, waiting and hoping they are working on fixing the app to show what has happened. All in all my fence is working great, there are just a few things I wish could be changed to make tracking them a little easier, and I was told they are working on those as we speak.

We had Ed install our DogWatch hidden fence a year or so ago and have been completely satisfied with it. Our older pup stays a good 20+ feet from the line but our new pup gets as close as her collar will allow. So, we had Ed come and move the line a bit farther from the road to keep her from scaring people when she rushes out to say hi. He also got us set up inside with small boundary areas to train the new pup to stay out of the kitchen and off the stairs.Ed has been fantastic to work with and is always available to answer any questions or to come out and turn the not dead battery around in the collar when someone puts it in backwards 😬We highly recommend Ed with DogWatch to anyone who is looking for a hidden pet fence.

My wife and I recently decided to go with DogWatch of Montana to provide us with a fence solution for our dog. We have been nothing but pleased the entire process. From first call to install was about 5 days, and it wasnt sooner only because we were out of town for the first install opening.The pricing model was simple, and the prices were pretty reasonable. Lots of info, and no pressure.The follow up after the install has been fantastic, and I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the install -- both in terms of low impact in our lawn, and a very clean install of the small equipment panel in our garage.One other small thing that turned out to be really huge for us was that our dog doesnt mind the collar AT ALL; in fact, he is less annoyed by the smart collar than his plain old normal collar!!! (far less scratching, etc.) The estimated battery life of one year is also far more than I expected.We were worried that our beagles nose might cause problems, but he quickly figured out the fence boundaries and hasnt tested them since the first week.We finally feel like we can relax, open our door, and let our dog be a dog!THANKS A TON DOGWATCH! Dynamite company to work with, Ed and Carrie are top notch people and very knowledgeable about their product. I was sold as soon as I saw the equipment, it is a much better quality than the competition. I had dealt with the competitions wire in the past and had nothing but trouble. I was so glad to see a wire that would stand up to outdoor use. The morning Ed came to install, we had changed our minds on the layout and he was very flexible and accommodating to our needs. I would highly recommend this company.

Ed makes dog training fun! His prices are better than others I researched, the dog collar batteries last longer, his training is right on. My 9 year old trained our dogs thats how easy it is! Plus Ed isnt too bad to look at either and has a fun personality...perfect for hanging with dogs and awesome dog lovers!

Ed did an absolutely amazing job on our yard and training us to keep our dogs inside our one and a half acre property. Our dog was absolutely impossible to work with keeping on our property due to we have 300 acres behind us and lots of wildlife. This system is absolutely amazing and couldnt be happier. We just recently got ourselves another puppy and got another receiver for him and he took to it with no problems at all. I thank dogwatch And our installer Ed for this awesome product.

Boy does Ed know his stuff! Not only the product and fence, but how to train you (the person) how to be sure you and your dog get the most out of the new hidden fence. They came all the way to Great Falls to swap out my system -- I have had nothing but bad luck with Invisible Fence who installed my fence 6-7 years ago but have been very unresponsive for the past year or so. Ed came yesterday and switched me from the awful invisible fence system to his amazing system, he answered every question I had and he explained how to properly train my dog so that she would no longer keep getting out.I have had the invisible fence for my dog for the past year. During that time she managed to escape numerous times, she got picked up and taken to the pound numerous times as well. Whenever I talked to the guy at invisible fence he told me that there was nothing he could do but that I could purchase a training refresher from him for my dog at $120. That the fence was working properly, it was just my dog that was the problem. After becoming super frustrated and feeling like my dog would no longer be able to roam our yard freely I had almost given up hope... Then I met Ed! He made it so simple and easy to switch over to him! I know I made the right choice! He also made it clear that he cares about your dog. Before I switched over to Ed, he had seen one of my posts about my dog that was lost because she again had ran through the invisible fence. Ed stopped by my work that afternoon to see if I had found her yet! Talk about a nice feeling knowing someone else is worried for your dog!

Update! We had DogWatch install 2 containment systems, one at our house and one at my mother in law’s place. Great product and fantastic service all the way! The best part is that it works perfectly!We were also in need of a reliable, effective bark collar for our golden doodle and yorkie. The Dogwatch collar totally met our needs at a great price. We moved to a ten acre farm in Superior. Coming from Dallas we didnt know how we were going to secure our two dogs.
