I get my hair done at the salon here. Erika is my stylist and she is wonderful. I got a rose color balayage done and absolutely love how it turned out! Even as the color fades out it still looks so beautiful. I have gone here for haircuts for a while now too and am always happy.. You can book online but I find its best to go in and talk to them as they can better understand and schedule what you would like done.

Dont take your partner in here if theyre BIPOC or the staff will follow you everywhere.10/03/21 Response to the owner: To give a background to the owner... Im a social worker and my partner works for the government and we make good income. We shouldnt have to state that fact to avoid the kind of treatment he received, but unfortunately thats the world we live in. We came in to Ulta after we just got done at the gym, my partner also just happens to have tattoos. We can only assume the treatment he received was for the typical reason he gets profiled and followed in stores. The store was busy that day and after observing, we didnt see the staff following anyone else. When we initially walked in, they did their normal scripted greeting, then they paused for whatever reason and began walking towards us a bit, asking what can I help you find?. We thought nothing of it, said we were fine and went about our shopping. We were at an end cap when we realized what they were doing (they couldnt have made it more obvious). There were two staff members taking turns standing behind us for long periods of time, basically right up in our personal space... We had the same two staff members circling us on each end of the aisles, asking are ya STILL doing okay?? about once every minute in each aisle we went to. There was always someone at each end of the aisle. I dont doubt its a job duty of staff members to keep an eye out for theft, which is fine.. but it was made very obvious they were profiling. We felt watched all the way until we left the store. I asked my partner if I could say something, but he knows better than to say something because it usually falls back on him, not the perpetrator. I asked if I could leave a review instead and he agreed. Nobody was vocally blatant about it, the staff still maintained their customer service voice, but we want you to know we definitely noticed what they were doing and its not okay. Theres only so many reasons staff would profile a stranger in a retail setting, and its definitely not because I just dont like their personality. So whether it was the gym clothes, the tattoos, my partner being BIPOC, or all of the above.. Ulta, please do the responsible thing and educate your employees and yourselves.

Everything is fine but the MAKEUP IS SO DRY. I order my mascaras all online now after picking up several dry ones which were unusable. The higher end stuff seems to have been neglected through an apocalyptic sand storm. At least test them before you buy them.

I cant thank those girls enough for making me feel so beautiful when I left the store! Erika cut and styled my hair…I felt like a queen and the other ladies working had great conversations with me. Closes before they say they do. Totally unacceptable due to the fact that I do online pick up because I live over an hour away, so a two hour drive total. So I wanna make sure my trip isnt wasted... Well this was at 7 pm, sign and phone says open till 9pm. Unprofessional.

I went to get my hair done by Beth, and she was amazing. So understanding of what I wanted and why! She put hair extensions I had brought in in my hair, and they look and feel amazing! Thank you so much Beth. It was really nice to just chat about life also. She is so friendly and does a really good job💚

I wish I could post a picture of the disgusting mascaras I’ve gotten from here... if you’re looking for a higher end mascara, run away from this place. They’re either dry, obviously expired, tampered with, or clumpy. The same product at other retailers is just fine. I don’t know how the employees handle the mascara, but it’s definitely neglected to say the least.

I shop at this Ulta about 3x a year. Each and every time, the cashiers are extremely friendly initially. They ask for my phone number, I decline. They ask again, it’s for the rewards program! I decline. At this point they are getting irritated (don’t you WANT a free birthday gift?!) and by the time I finally get them to accept my cash without giving a phone number they are downright rude & frequently don’t even reply when I say thanks at the end.It’s my understanding that Ulta employees are required to ask people to sign up for this loyalty program, but based on their extremely poor customer service when people decline I feel they must be worried about keeping hours if they don’t sign up enough people. Consider changing this model or seriously invest in some training for these cashiers. It’s shouldn’t be so difficult to maintain a friendly attitude from start to finish in a 5 minute transaction.At this point I’m so turned off by this atmosphere I’ll be purchasing my items from another source. I have been to Ulta’s elsewhere & it’s a theme so shame on you Ulta for forcing a rewards program over basic customer service.

Service was terrible, I have been a reliable, loyal costumer for years! I have spent thousands of dollars at this store. I went in today and people were so rude. I was in the skin care cosmetics isle for quite a while just honestly not knowing what product to get for what’s going on with me. After about ten minutes the ladies in the store, instead of offering help. They just move around the isle watching me almost as if looking at me like I’m a thief. I never! I would have asked for help if those horrible girls weren’t just following me around as if I’m guilty of something so rude! Obviously I don’t want help with what I need to put on my face if these women don’t even know how to communicate with costumers! Terrible costumer service. Will Be Calling Cooperate Monday Morning!!! Also the math on my Receipt is incorrect!!!! Horrible if there’s any place to shop for makeup in Bozeman Montana I would strongly advise to go there before attempting to buy anything by this mismanaged total ignorance and lack of costumer service establishment

Thank you to the ladies who helped me this morning. My husband purchased me a gift card and my foundation I love for Christmas and Valentines day. We were roadtripping from Washington State to Florida for a move, and my foundation lid got stuck in the cap, and when I pulled it off it sent the foundation everywhere in the hotel. Id been looking for an Ulta in our stops and found this one in Bozeman. They really helped me and the girl working the floor gave me an amazing brow pencil recommendation I asked for. Thank you ladies!

I went into Ulta looking for products to help my skin and hair growth and Erin was amazing! She was not only knowledgeable first hand with the products, but she knew the ingredients, the brands, how they works with your skin, and how to use. She was so helpful and it was by far my best experience at Ulta.

Love Ulta and the friendly service... however, still forcing patrons to wear masks... ugh.

Its a fine store, but some of the employees there have taken their mask policy as license to bully people ... and thats a shame.Hiding your face apparently entitles some folks to berate people they dont know and know nothing about.

These ladies are amazing! My old hair lady did me so dirty( super splotchy, uneven blonde tones, didn’t even tone my blonde so super brassy) I came to Beth and she really did save me. She did a partial foil and literally went through every part of my hair to grab all of the uneven blondes and brassy strands and even out all the splotchy areas which was basically my entire head. She then took her time, toning each section of my hair( which had been always over looked every time I had gotten my hair bleached) and even put in a hair mask afterwards. My hair is completely evened out and icy blonde like I wanted for such a long time. We went all the way past closing and Beth took the time out of her day to really help me get to a better place. All of the other employees were also so helpful and were kind reassuring me that it was okay to stay late and made me feel super welcome. Thank you so much for the great service. And go to Beth!!! She’s amazing!!

I had my hair done today by Elizabeth and I am so happy I did. She fixed the bad haircut I had previously gotten and understood what I wanted. She was gentle and took her time learning about the type of hair I have and how I want to wear it. She recommended products and didnt steer me to the most expensive brands. She was great to talk to and I will never have my hair cut by anyone else again.

The girls here are always so sweet and helpful. I never feel stupid asking questions or needing help. Even with the pandemic they are patient and accommodating.

I asked for help in locating some hair mouse. The clerks first question was what my price range was. Somehow this seemed intrusive.

I just wanted to give a shout-out to our local Ulta. The store is always well-stocked and tidy. The employees are all friendly and helpful. In particular, Josh is super-knowledgeable and has helped me color match products multiple times now. He really knows his stuff and is so patient and warm. Really love the unpretentious vibe here- not all of us are beauty pros, so the awesome staff is really appreciated :)

Even though with covid-19 is hard to shop around since there is specific rules such as not trying anything which makes sense for everyones safety. I got help to decide which colour pop foundation to get! She was nice to help me out!

I recently had my hair highlighted somewhere else. It was a little darker than expected so I went to Ulta to see if they could lighten up just around my face. I showed pictures of the color I wanted. She put in 10 foils and then put a toner on my hair for 15 minutes. After she dried my hair, I observed the color was exactly the same except now it looked purple thanks to the toner. I paid a discounted price of 58 dollars to leave looking the exact same way as I did when I came in. I previously had a practice makeup session at Ulta for my wedding. I am glad I did the practice session because I think a 5 year old could have done a better job. Glad I went to Indulgence instead. I do think the male who works in makeup is pretty awesome! His makeup looked great and he was the most helpful and friendly person in the store. If only he did hair. I have learned my lesson about having beauty services done at Ulta. I will continue you to shop there solely for the product.

Professional, well educated staff. Im a 63 year old woman who shies away from anyone ten years or younger than me for beauty advice. Well, not any longer. Ulta personal has changed my mind. Honest and straight forward problem solving. And they gave me several choices when answering my questions. I totally appreciate and recommend their services.

Love getting my eyebrows wax here. The wax they use or is extremely gentle and great for sensitive skin. The brow bar experts are excellent and do exactly what I asked.

If you like the Kylie Jennet kits, then this is the only place theyre available. They have the expensive name brands as well as some cheaper stuff, that actually works very well. They sell a wide variety of skin care items, and the staff is great. I have my eyebrows and hair done at the salon, great service both times!

I really like the Pacifica products. They are pure and cruelty free. Vegan. Beautiful and lovely to use. No artificial ingredients. I really like that they are adding crystals to some of their products.

Admittedly, I made a last minute (next day) appointment but it seemed quite disorganized. I initially asked for a cut then asked if I could get accent highlights too. They called the next morning to change my appointment to accommodate both, but once I was there they only planned to highlight and not a cut. It was done OK but I wont return. My highlights dont reach the base of the hair and my cut was rushed, I didnt feel I could ask for something more to my specification because her next appointment was there waiting.She did a decent job and it cost $126 so not terrible, but definitely not great.

Best place ever! Employees are always so sweet and helpful and you can try anything before you buy it which is great. Staff with give you tips on eye liner or blending or anything else youre wondering about.

Really impressed with the customer service I received, especially on Black Friday! There was at least two Ulta employees who helped me find my color, inform me of Black Friday deals on the items I was looking for, and simply kind to me on such a busy day. Thank you Bozeman Ulta!

The staff here is really friendly and loves helping customers pick out beauty products. They have skin care treatments available in the store.The natural hair and skin care product selections are very good and there are options that are not terribly expensive. They carry some of the same brands as Rosaurs for natural products, but they also have some brands that Rosaurs does not stock.During Black Friday and seasonal sales, some brands are 30% off.

Had what I went there for and their prices were competitive with Amazon (for that product at least). However, I had to wait in line for at least 4 minutes before it moved once because only one register was open. It was frustrating seeing numerous employees walk by the checkout line having nothing to do but meander through the store. More employees should have been trained to operate the register since if the store were any busier waits would have been ridiculous.

Their staff is not always naturally friendly, sometimes they are too busy to offer you help. I love the variety of products that the store has.

I like Ulta, just wish they carried more high-end brands. More of a company-wide thing I have a gripe with so no stars off for this store, their associates are generally wonderful. I especially love Josh at the Lancome counter! Wish everyone was as knowledgable about their products as him!

Thoroughly Displeased!The products are good, which is why I continue to shop there, but the staff were absolutely horrible. Not ONE consultant asked me of I needed help, which I did. And the whole time I was there,The ladies were zoning off. One girl was even off painting her nails. As I checked out, the gal asked my rewards info and as I was spelling my last name, she completely cut me off to ask another question then ROLLS HER EYES AT ME. Completely dissapointed.

I went into ulta looking for new foundation and highlighter. I asked to speak to someone to help considering I’ve never really wore much makeup and wanted to learn a few things. I was directed to an esthetician that seemed annoyed more than anything with me. I had a specific budget that day of $100 and mostly wanted to get set up with a good foundation And a few other little things. I asked about the lessons they do on applying and was told it was $30 for that and $45 for a full application. I told her that considering my budget for that day I just would have to settle for getting foundation and would come back to get the “lesson” another day. The girl rolled her eyes at me a few times, seemed annoyed that I asked to color match me with a foundation (which I ended up spending $47 on) and was pointed in the direction of the most expensive products (I have no problem paying for quality products) even after I had half my budget blown on foundation. I love the foundation and definitely feel it was the right match for me but I continued shopping in tears after speaking to her and feeling like I was just a nuisance. I thought they were there to educate on products etc. I was instead made to feel like I was too dumb to even be in there. I work in a shop and explained I needed minimal makeup that didn’t make me break out from working with oil. I ended up shopping a little more and even ended up spending $140 there. I will say the other associates in there were very helpful (especially in the brow section and a gentleman who genuinely seemed to care and have plenty of knowledge and respect for my budget). I will be back just because of those associates. However, After reading some other reviews saying the same thing that some retraining should be in order. Not everyone has extensive knowledge on the subject and should be treated with respect. Customer service will bring people back over price every time.

This is a great place to get your haircut! After trying a new place out and getting my hair butchered I ran to Ulta to see if they could fix it. Of course they could and they did.
