I 100% recommend Bozeman Community Auto!Ill try to keep it short and sweet but I have so so many good things to say about this place!Two years ago Eric replaced my rear differential, super honest, professional and all around great to work with!About six months after that, I had taken my car to jiffy lube to get the oil changed and unbeknownst to me they put my air filter back in wrong. My car sounded horrible and would barely run. I called BCA and they fit me in within the hour, told me the easy fix, and fixed it.this past month I started hearing a rattling but didnt think much of it. I knew BCA was honest and did vehicle look-overs so I called in and they scheduled me in ASAP. Eric had an answer within an hour or two AND was able to replace the part the same day!A day later when the part broke as I was driving to Missoula, I called BCA and they said bring it on over. Had it towed back to their shop from Three Forks and within an hour Eric had looked everything over and informed me that the very part he had fixed had faulted and must have been poorly made. The part was warrantied so he not only fixed it, but also worked overtime to do so (at least I think, theyre not usually open Saturday and he called saying it was ready on Saturday afternoon) and they were seriously so so kind, professional, and went absolutely above and beyond to provide great service to me and my 30 year old Ford :)Its been almost a week since then and my car is running as good as ever- Im preparing to move to the Missoula area and told my fiancé that we will be making the four hour trip to Bozeman for any future car problems!I 110% recommend BCA to ANYONE getting literally any sort of car service. They know what theyre doing, are super kind, and make it easy to want to support local business!

I heard about Bozeman community Auto about 4 years ago when I visited to ski. My daughter had just moved here from Co. and was having what appeared to be transmission issues. She took her car to Bozeman community auto hoping they could fix it. Later that day Eric called my daughter and said your car is fixed, it was just a filter that was clogged. Inexpensive fix. Eric’s professionalism, honesty, and making my daughter feel like family sold me.I just arrived for the 2019-2020 ski season and needed to have my wife’s car in for struts and coils. Not only did Eric find time to fit me in during this busy time of year, but also noticed a brake caliber that was about to fall off due to a rusty bolt. He drilled it out and replaced with new bolt at No charge. This place is exceptional! Probably the best mechanic experience I’ve ever had. The guy who helped me was just so nice. I took my car here because the front drivers side wheel started making a terrible grinding noise. The mechanic looked at it right way, and determined there was a rock stuck way in there. He took some things apart (clearly I know tons about cars), got the rock out, and put it back together. I didn’t have an appointment, but he took care of it for me right away. To top it off though, he tried to do it for free! I just showed up out of the blue with this car issue that he then fixed on the spot. And he didn’t even want to charge me! I don’t live in Bozeman, but if I did I would absolutely bring my car here again. Just super nice, helpful people.

I had my car brought in over a weekend because it absolutely refused to run at all. They mentioned that they couldn’t get to it until Wednesday and possibly Thursday. When I finally heard from them they were extremely friendly and they told me what was going on and how much it would cost to fix it. The price for the work they did was phenomenal and they had my car ready later that day. I can not recommend them enough, excellent service, fair pricing, and just very friendly people. Definitely check them out!

Today my wife and I returned from a vacation that another shop would not have allowed us to take. The A/C stopped working, and we needed to get it fixed before we left. They told us there was a major electrical issue with our car that would either be very expensive or we would need to buy another vehicle.Since we have other good experiences with Eric, we towed it to Bozeman Community Auto for a second opinion. We were told it would take a week or so. Eric called the next day and said it was running. The fix was a $5 fuse. No new car payments, and the anniversary vacation was back on! Every cool, comfortable mile was a gift. We have never been let down. This is a shop that will work and fight for you. Highly recommended!

Wonderful service! Called about a coolant problem, and they had me in asap to diagnose and replace the water pump. Wonderful pricing thats way cheaper than any of the other places around. Very highly recommended for anyone, definitely going here in the future for any more car troubles!

Left my car there for over 5 hours so they could change my brakes. I paid & left then after about 40 minutes I get a call saying they found a spring and need to make sure it wasn’t mine so I had to drive 40 minutes back so they could fix whatever they didn’t do. I told them I had work that evening when I originally made the appointment so this made me late for work. Guy who was doing it didn’t care at all. I also asked them to check and see why there was a noise when I turned but they said there wasn’t and there totally still is. Also seemed like he was going through my console when he took my car the second time. Will never take my car here again.

Eric was honest with me and said the problem I had was so minor I wouldn’t even notice and wouldn’t have to fix it that day if I couldn’t. Bozeman Community Auto is top notch at a more than fair price. A radiator hose blew on my truck while I was heading out of town to go rock climbing. I was quite bummed, but the speedy service at BCA had me back on the road before they closed that same day. The price for labor and parts had me taking a double take, the whole experience made the lack of climbing that day a little easier to swallow. Give this auto shop your business, you wont regret it.

My outback was having strange electrical issues out of nowhere- in 5:30 rush hour traffic- the kind that made me nervous to drive it. I found this place with great reviews online and immediately called to see if they knew what was wrong and if they could do a quick fix before they closed at 6pm. They were willing to give my car a check to figure out what was wrong and give me some peace of mind. Due to traffic- I couldnt get there until their closing time, but they nonetheless checked out my car and were able to figure out the problem and give it a quick fix. I am so grateful for their patience and generosity.

It takes awhile to get an appointment, but that is probably because they are very helpful, kind, and reasonably priced. I will be going back for any future car trouble

I brought my vehicle in with suspicion that something was wrong with my transfer case and/or differential. The mechanic did an examination and test drove my vehicel, probably taking at least the better part of an hour and he did not charge me. I could have easily been charged by another shop. I would highly recommend this mechanic shop, they are honest people and very reasonable.

Was very friendly and fit me in quickly. Did quick work and was thorough yet stayed localized to the area of my van that was the problem. He pointed out that my radiator has a leak, but was honest about its capabilities and that it could last a while, instead of pushing me on a replacement right away. He even took me in the shop when I picked it up and showed me the part that was the problem. You can tell hes a guy that just really enjoys working on cars and that the business is just secondary. Nothing wrong with that in my book. I will not hesitate to return to him again., highly recommended.

These guys were phenomenal, they took great care of me and my car. Was able to fix things super quick and when theres was more than one problem got to the bottom of it fast and had it ready to go in the blink of an eye. I cannot sing their praises any higher. If someone has car problems, this is where Im sending them from now on.

I spent a long time looking for a local mechanic that is trustworthy, honest, and timely.My A/C has been out for a couple years, and I took it to a national company, they wanted $220 and 2 days just for a diagnosis. BCA not only diagnosed, but fully repaired my A/C for less than $200.All the other reviews here are 100% accurate. I will be bring my vehicles here for any repair /maintenance going forward. Knowledgeable and friendly! really fast and affordable! i was in trouble because i needed to get my car fixed by the end of the day to drive back down to Yellowstone because the radiator was cracked. Very rude when I called. I wanted help with a mechanical issue and to see if I could be seen and the lady on the phone immediately dissmissed my issue! Kept interrupting me and She was very rude and quick to “solve” my issue by telling me to take it to another shop. I was surprised because they had positive reviews but the way I was treated won’t use them! Thanks for the lack of help.

This is a great Subaru auto shop! I was leaving for the west coast on Saturday when my clutch went out on my 2009 Subaru Outback. No shops were open in town except for BCA. I had the car towed there on Saturday at 3:00 in the afternoon, the mechanic told me he could have it done by Sunday at noon the following day so I could get home for the holidays. By golly he did have it done and did it for a reasonable price for the time crunch. I will always take my Subaru to this great shop. Thanks Bozeman Community auto!

My vehicle broke down in Bozeman. They were the 1st ones I called. I do have to say the lady tried to get me to go somewhere else because they were so busy. I called around and everyone else was just as busy. Finally O decided to take my chance and go with them. They fixed my vehicle in 3 days. They were a little higher than other places, but the Mechanic Kevin did a great job and really knows his stuff!

All hell broke loose on my 2005 Avalanche. ABS , ECM and BCM lights on, Door locks going crazy. I usually do my own mechanic work but this was over my pay grade. Eric stuck with it and spent a lot of time until he found a loose ground wire in a very obscure place behind the engine. Also a rear speed sensor that was on the transfer case was not working. My 2005 it appears was actually made in 2004 and had 2004 parts. Anyway, Eric and crew stuck with it until the problems were solved and did not charge an unfair price for the time spent. One of (if not the best) car mechanics experiences of my life. My wife and I have been touring the western US for 3 months in our 07 Toyota sienna camper conversion, so weve been putting some serious miles on it. Recently, our mini van started to make some alarming, rattling sounds that seem to have worsened by the day.After reading all the reviews we (reluctantly), took our car in for a check up to BCA expecting a hefty bill with an out of state license plate and the bad noise coming from the car. BUT, our car was diagnosed very quickly with only a minor repair need. All it needed was a $12 part and a half an hour labour. Total cost was under $90 so in addition I also got one of the cheapest oil changes ever. Throughout the whole process everyone at the shop was super friendly, courteous, efficient and professional.A GREAT, family ran business. I hope they they stick around for years to come & I wish these guys were my home mechanics!

I was traveling through trying to get home to Tennessee when my front brakes starting making noise. Im in a F350 towing a trailer and 3 tons behind me so brakes werent something I could gamble with. I called and they seen me immediately. It took most of the day because I had some serious issues and needed several new parts but they worked hard to get me back on the road. They even lent me and my friend a car to use so we werent sitting in their shop all day. They went above and beyond to help me. Great people!
