I got the chance to booster draft with good folks up at the Local Gaming Store. The shop has a good atmosphere and friendly players. Magic the Gathering wise it seems like the crowd that was there was leaning more towards standard format. I saw a couple of groups there for RPGs as well.Mini polyhedral dice for 25 cents and their own Open Series for standard will likely bring me back sooner rather than later.I went to play modern and the open series standard was scheduled for the day as well. Neither event managed to kick off, but the local crowd was cool to booster draft. The calendar may not be 100% accurate, so check in advance to see what is going down for sure.

LGS was an oasis of competency, fairness, and awesome people in the middle of a sea of overpriced booster drafts, unfair prize division, and ignorance of DCI rules. Truly, it was a place that was too good to last. And now the locals in Bowling Green will have to pay six bucks for FNM (or more) instead of five, with no guaranteed prize payout, all because the MtG community here decided that they were more interested in whining than playing.To reiterate: It was an amazing store. It is now gone.
