Service was good. Cleaning methods need to improve for tables, there is NO use of disinfectants. Glad we carry disinfecting wipes with us. Prices were fair. Home fries were greasy and not crispy at all. Over easy eggs were cooked to perfection. Philly steak cheese sandwich was good, smaller than we were used to at other restaurants. The recommended local sausage patties for added 0.80c are not worth the charge, the 🌶 spicy chili taste overtakes the flavors.

A lunchtime favorite. Small town country cooking reminds my boyfriend and I of our hometowns. Excellent location and great prices. Portion size is perfect. Waitstaff more than friendly and courteous. Dining room features murals of notable places around Bowling Green by a local artist.

A Tale of Two VisitsI went early on a Sunday morning in September, around 7:00. The restaurant was medium busy, but not full. I had coffee, bacon, eggs and toast. The food was warm and tasty and the service was good, as my mug was re-filled as needed. High marks!I like supporting locally owned, independent businesses, so I came back a few weeks later with my family at 11:00 on a Sunday morning. Every table was full and there was a line. When we got a table, it took a REALLY long time to get our food - like 35 minutes or more. Our coffee wasnt refilled while we waited. My familys food came eventually, but mine got lost some where. I asked for it and 15 minutes later it showed up, but the beans had been severely over-cooked and were only fit for barnyard animals. The hash-brown casserole was cold. Obviously they were not on top of their game, but Im the one who bore the brunt of their bad day.Why did I give it a 3? The first time was a 5 and the second time was a 1. The average is three, but my advise is to only go when they are not busy. As for me and my family, well never go back, as it was one of the worst meals Ive ever had.

This is a great little diner near the Hotrods Ballpark and the skate park. We have gone in twice now and it was very busy both times, you just walk in and find a table, no need to wait to be seated. The service is a little slow, but it is understandable because they are tending to a lot of customers. The food has been on point both times. We have tried all of the breakfast items, and a couple lunch items. My daughter was a little upset they don’t offer Waffles. Remember to bring cash, they do charge for using your card.

First time here and looks like a place that the locals come to. You can get a good, quick breakfast here! I had a sausage and egg sandwich with hash browns and strong, hot coffee. Hubs had the country ham platter with eggs, grits and gravy & biscuits. All was piping hot when it came out, and it came out quickly. Hubs only complaint was that the grits didnt taste like it had any salt in it. Other than that, it was good & overfilled our bellies.

Ordered biscuits and gravey for my son just got a biscuit. Ordered a Philly cheese steak no cheese which was awesome and made correctly except for the fact it looked like a bite was taken out of it and it only came with 4 onion rings. The rest of our order was correct but not very desirable. We only chose to eat here due to trying to eat local. We dont plan to go back.

Just stopped here since it is nearby the hospital and what a wonderful little diner. Excellent food and great service. It’s like Cracker Barrel, but a small and locally owned instead. Great home made southern food. We got a pie to go, but now we know better and will order one made next time to take back home since this one is so good.

I have had their food delivered several times and the breakfast is awesome.The big red is a great breakfast. The western burrito is also a good choice. If you want a great breakfast this place is by far the best in Bowling Green.

Food was good and the price was good, but I had to wait 45 minutes!!!!When I called my order in, I was told it would only be a 15 minutes wait time. Other people kept getting their food before me plus they asking me about another order. It was chaotic that day!

So glad we happened onto Fifth St Diner months ago. The food is always good. The waitresses are always on top of things.

This is a classic spot with loads of locals. It has great prices and we basically ordered a bunch of sides and had a free for all. The drink portions are massive, as in two people could easily share an orange juice (the pictured OJ was filled to the top when brought to the table).

I highly recommend upgrading the sausage to the Kirby Poe version. It was a bit too spicy, but I powered through because otherwise it was the best sausage Ive had!Overall, getting seated and served was awkward because theres no seat yourself sign, but we got a good variety of typical breakfast food (eggs, sausage, hash browns, omelette) for a great value. Will return.

Dont judge a book by its cover! This little diner may not look like much but they have some delicious specials. It has been a while since I had good home cooking and this place delivered. I had the pot roast but will definitely be back to try the chicken & dumplings.

Ordered from grubhub which was delivered fast and exactly what we ordered but the food was horrible. Not sure if it was just a horrible day for them or what but $20 and we couldnt eat anything but the biscuits (it was breakfast).

An awesome little find in the middle of Bowling Green. A disclaimer. The wait time for food can be a bit. However, customer service is on point and all of the food is amazing. I had the country fried steak. The menu said that it is as big as your head. This was not a gimmick. The food portions are generous for the price. Although it is not open all of the time, it is worth the wait to bring your family to this quality, home grown country restaurant!

The food and service was excellent, however, they do not follow the mask mandate rules, no one, no employee had a mask on . I was told that they were told by the owner they do not have to wear one unless they want to. No Wonder we cant get rid of this pandemic!!!

One of the best spots for an incredible breakfast. Very inexpensive but extremely tasty. Has a small town dinner feel. The staff is quick and courteous. I recommend an omelet or pork tenderloin biscuit.
