Natural Grocers is one of our regular stops for organic groceries. One of our favorite aspects of the store is that all their produce is organic, so no need to pick through conventional options, though the quality is not always as high as the competitors (we buy peaches elsewhere, for example). We also appreciate their prices on staples like eggs, yogurt, chocolate, and milk. Their bulk section is great for spices and oatmeal. They started out as a vitamin store, and supplements still take up a lot of room. They don’t stock a lot of meat, but what they have is high quality. We like the store brand bacon and they also have our favorite kind of almond-crust pizza.

Great store. Still a private company and stay true to their core values. They do extensive research before they sell any new items in their stores to make sure it fits their standards. I love Natural Grocers!

They never run out of my favorite Organic Hibiscus Flower . The one in Denver just cant keep it stocked. Also, they have a bigger selection of clearance items. I bought a great quality liquid C, vitamin D3 and Oregano Oil for such a good price.

Great selection of produce and dry goods, bulk items, and supplements. I like that flours and nuts are refrigerated. Store itself has broad enough aisles that I don’t feel crowded. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

I live a literal 2 minute walk from here and will not shop here due to the pretentiousness of the employees. And what does Natural mean anyway? Its a buzz word. Go shop at Sprouts/Trader Joes.

This is our go to spot for produce and about everything grocery related in Boulder... they also have a huge selection of plant based foods and a great station to refill filtered water. Tons of pre packaged snacks and dried fruits although the bags of frozen fruit are really small. Shout out to the team at this location, they are always attentive, willing to help and full of smiles. Dave in produce is a wealth of knowledge, thanks for always giving us the inside scoop!

Consistently good market with lots of selection, especially in vitamin and kombucha sections.

Its the kind of store that lets you know that the compostable produce bags contain GMO cornstarch, but leaves you hanging when you want to sign up for their loyalty program to get the sales prices and then charges you full price and tells you to sign up online...

Natural Grocers is one of my favorite stores, especially for supplements. They are comparable to Sprouts, and Whole Foods, as well. The best thing about their supplements department, is that there is usually several brands to choose from, as well as their own Natural Grocers brand.They also have the most affordable Vegetarian Capsules in bulk, and three different size, in town.

I was shopping here for instacart and was looking for a specific lotion. The woman working had her back turned from me so I said several times mam, mam, excuse me mam. She ignored me. Finally turned around and said I dont answer to mam. She pointed to her name tag Nancy. How is saying mam rude to someone? Its a polite term to address a woman especially older than me. How am I suppose to see her name tag when her back was turned? She was so rude and condescending. Will not be back at this store!

I do like the products here and enjoy shopping. Last time I was in a college girl was walking around without a mask. They didnt say anything and let her be. I asked, why shes still in the store? An employee responded with, if they say they have medical issues theyre not required. No one should be exempt from it. There is online delivery service, curbside pick up and other options. Its been a while since Ive been back and wont be going back any time soon

Today I asked three unmasked cashiers whether they were vaccinated. One said no but offered to put on a mask (store policy requires masks), and two refused to answer. I left without making a purchase. It will be a long time before I return.

Id like to say this is not about this particular store, but I cant find a place to leave feedback for the customer service.Three weeks ago I ordered a gift card for 100$ for Thanksgiving to help out a friend. The card has not arrived and my countless attempts to contact the company remain unanswered.Ive been a customer for 25 years but unfortunately cannot support such a business.

Very nice experience. Found what I needed, several people asked if I needed help. The store is very popular and I dont recommend shopping around noon on Sunday. 5 checkouts open but each had a line! My first visit to this location.

I hate shopping for groceries, but love this store. I appreciate that they sell only organic produce, usually reasonably priced. The rest of the store also has reasonable prices and I like the ambiance - not glitzy like some national whole food chains. I go to this store every two weeks for the majority of shopping for my family. They do a great job with cleaning baskets and monitoring their masks-required policy. Everyone Ive encountered there has been friendly. Yes, some of the checkers can be kind of slow, but I either practice my breathing, patience, and gratitude while waiting (they have a very difficult job right now, yall) or move to another line.

Love Vitamin Cottage / Natural Grocers. Great produce. can be a little expensive at times, but thats what it costs to get (REAL) good food. They have some of the best dairy, yogurt, and other things. They have delicious wraps. Definitely suggest going here, great products and supply. They have all sorts of stuff for healthcare needs too. ✅

Amazing People who helped me many times I have been shopping for items and they know exactly how to either find it or get someone else who might be able to help me with what I need if its not there they will order it if its possible to get the item or items and then contact me to let me know one way or the other!

This is a comment on their organization, not the store itself, but never get someone a gift card from Natural Grocers. I received a $40 gift card as a thank you present. I went to the store just to spend the gift card and did not have that money of my own to spend. After many employees tried and attempted to make phone calls, they told me there was an issue with their network and they had no way to use the gift card or check the balance. Their website has no way of checking gift card balances either, it tells you to go to the store. It is not the fault of anyone in the store itself, but that was incredibly embarrassing and dehumanizing.

Has variety of organic produce, bagels, and vegan cheeze.

I love that they only sell organic produce. No worrying about reside. Great selection of bulk items, specialty items, and natural products. Huge selection of supplements and knowledgeable staff. They do all of the work researching product safety for you and you can rest assured knowing you aren’t bringing toxins into your home.

Not my most favorite Vitamin cottage! I will drive to Denver or Longmont just to get better customer service. Two thumbs down I feel like I throw more food away from there then eating it. Found black mold in one of the bulk packages of dates. Wrong!

All organic, all the time (organic produce that is). Not too sure about grocery, dairy, and frozen items though.They have the best selection of Coconut Bliss vegan ice cream in town! (Which is obviously the best dairy free ice cream in the world... Clearly!)

The layout of the store is super confusing, but they have a great selection of dried herbs and supplements which I love!

I have never felt as unsafe in this pandemic until I went to the boulder location of natural grocers. They do not even try to attempt any kind of social distancing within the stores. I would understand if customers have to pass each other but the employees made zero effect to create space. Two different employees bumped my shoulders while I was shopping, at least three just stood in the middle of isles creating no space for customers, and there was zero directions for customers to have spacing on the floors or one way isles. This was the most pathetic excuse of social distancing I’ve seen since this pandemic and I will never return.Thank you Natural Grocers of Boulder for showing the public how little you care for public safety.

I really like to buy some of my needs. Great produce and the prices were fair. Staffs were nice and easy to approach too.

Love the new location! And they even have non-frozen bread now! (this was the main reason I used to not shop for groceries there--because it forced me to go to two or three different places since it didnt carry bread or some of my other staples). This store is larger and has everything now. As far as ethical places to shop for groceries in Boulder, this is the easiest and most accessible for the elderly. I try not to shop at the big stores that wont let their employees unionize and are profit first enterprises. I plan to do a little cost analysis soon and will update this review when I do.

Not sure if the Nutritionist doesnt like helping customers or is just lazy but I had to request a Manager just to have a questioned answered about one of their hand outs on Magnesium because she didnt want to just walk over to filing cabinet and grab it herself. Lol ridiculous

I’m a loyal natural grocers customer and tonight I had to the real pleasure of standing in Susan A.’s line at 6pm. It was only 6pm because I had been standing in the same spot in her line for over 30 minutes. Susan displayed the WORLDS SLOWEST PERFORMANCE at using a cash register I have ever seen. This lady is soooooo slow I couldn’t help feel like I was at the DMV in the kids movie Zootopia. Seriously guys do not give Susan a register at 6pm you are capable of way better service than this lady can achieve.

Having had the pleasure of moving closer to another Natural Grocers store, I can honestly say this one is the worst! Longmont, Lafayette, Westminster, Wheat ridge.... All have friendlier staff, better service, and are better organized. As much as I prefer to support Colorado owned businesses, when it comes to natural foods in Boulder, this location has failed me fart too many times...

Weve been shopping here for years, well before they moved to their new location. It is our favorite store because it has the greatest selection of the products we buy... and the produce is usually good (though often higher priced than elsewhere). I have not had any issues with the staff likes some reviewers have stated. All the cashiers especially have been very nice. I like to bag my own groceries and I always get a thank you for helping bag. I feel like this is the easiest in-and-out and less stressful place to shop. Lately though, its getting busier and busier and often cashier lines are backed up... however, that has to do with the unfortunate influx of people moving into Colorado.

I love this place. So many things here that are not available at a typical grocery store. So many healthy things available such as supplements, organic fruits and veggies, vegan and vegetarian options, dairy free and gluten free options. The staff is very knowledgeable when I need to find something specific. Give them a raise!

Here it is, the last Grocery store you ever need to visit. So much research goes into their product its easy to trust and the staff are knowledgeable about it. The prices are sometimes unbeatable! They have classes(most free) in a clean room oh, that your welcome to eat your lunch in if that works. Dont see it, ask...

Love this place! The bulk food is sooo reasonable, and the veggies and fruit are fresh and delicious! Friendly people (employees and customers)! We almost exclusively shop here.

Love the new location with very convenient accessible parking. The staff are so friendly and respectful it is a joy to come in and shop. I purchase all specialized vitamins here and consistently find what I came in to look for. This place always smells good, is clean and crisp with plenty of products on the shelves.

Great selection, incredible people, comparable prices. Hard to find items like different dairy free yogurts for vegetarians or vegans (almond yogurt, cashew yogurt, coconut yogurt!) Bulk section is on point. Overall a great place!

This feels like a local small town grocery store. They carry a large variety of supplements (the best selection in town, in my opinion. They have a decent selection of natural body products and they carry ok selection of grocery items with a nice slant toward healthy, harder to find, and not crazy expensive. My only complaint would be that I can’t get all I need here (I can’t at any grocery store / market in town) but if there’s something I can’t find at other stores, it’ll usually be here and at good prices.

Natural Grocers serve the best quality organic selections. Presidents subsidize Monsanto-Bayer, the company that supplied gases to the Nazis, by $11 billion annually. Monsanto-Bayer uses the money to repay the president but also to own both the EPA and the USDA. So organic produce is under constant assault. Natural Grocers truly try to avoid most traps - such as organic produce fed by GMO manure, etc. They sometimes have great sale prices on products and they offer free educational classes that I find very helpful. The store is uncomfortably cold in the summer - Im not sure why.

Best grocery store in Boulder, CO.

Natural Grocers is a regional chain supermarket loved by naturalists. Close to Whole Foods, manages to attract many of the same organic loving clientele but more money conscious. Has a large vitamin and supplement section.

Ive been shopping there for the past 4 years, especially for their organic produce, personal care and supplement selection. The staff is well trained and if they dont know the answer they find someone who does. They have the best variety of organic produce in Boulder...and usually the best prices.

Decent social distancing, and still stocks Muir glen canned whole tomatoes (not very easy to get anywhere else right now).

I like the Natural Grocers until I get to the check-out line. The checks are very poorly trained. The watch me while I bag my own groceries without even offering help. Please give them some training.

Good: there are several coupons that will get you a good deal.Bad: The burgers are ehh nothing special. I think that prices are high for what they offer. There are some fast food chains with better options. Specialty burgers will leave you broke here.

Great store, excellent prices, and generally friendly staff. They do get weirdly anxious when you have an out of the ordinary request (e.g. a case of potatoes), but thats just because the staff is 100% high 100% of the time.
