This rating is for their work, not the sketchy looking shop. Best in the business, and Ive used shops all up and down the Front Range. Most recently, they lovingly restored my designer heels after my pandemic puppy ate them. Kinda pricey but definitely worth it!

This place did such great job adding treads to my Freebird boots. Definitely worth taking my boots to this place.I was hesitant at first even considering altering my freebird boots since they were so expensive. But this place added the treads so well that they look better than the original way I bought them.I will take my other freebird shoes here for the same service since all my freebird shoes have the slippery under soles.

New soles and repaired leather on a pair of dress shoes. The repairs look perfect. They definitely took longer than they told me they would (3 weeks instead of 5 days), but I expected that to happen after reading some of the other reviews. Call ahead to ask if your repair is complete before making a trip to pick up.

Very kind, professional people. I came in getting a heel replace that had fallen out. The girl asked if I wanted the heel color that had come off fixed and polished. Very attentive. When I picked them up, the owner noticed some scuffs on the front and fixed them. As you can see in the pictures, the original stripes on the heels are still there. I will definitely come back here in the future!!

Repaired my Birkenstocks to nearly new and they are great again.

My shoes look unrecognizable - and in the best way. I thought the timing & pricing was very fair for the service provided. I didn’t even mention needing a resole, just the leather taken care of, but they did the whole shabang. I could climb a mountain in these heels with this new sole. Will never bring my shoes anywhere else! Added bonus: cute pets & nice people.

My old Birkenstock’s came back with the cork soles shiny and new looking. These had a separated cork sole due to water damage and they are circa 1980s. They had them ready on rime and a reasonable price. I will go back to them again.

They ruined my beautiful red boots. I needed the zippers replaced and they assured me they could match the color. When I picked up the boots they had black zippers with larger teeth than the original. The shaft of the boot was 1/2” larger than when I dropped them off. Don’t take anything you care about to this shop. Perry’s moved to Nex but has local drop off and pick or go to the Little Boot in Longmont

I had my Birkenstocks repaired recently. I’m satisfied with the repair itself but it was pricy and they arent the best with timing: better call before coming to pick your stuff up in agreed time.Update: the shoe broke again as the glued-on leather fell off. Came back and they fixed it for the original price (without paying extra). Would appreciate propper repair with sewing the first time but I also appreciate they helped me the second time.

This company is not even worth 1 star. I brought my wifes brand new, never worn boots from Freebird in to have rubber added to the leather soles. We had a selection of tread choose from we chose one that would be good for snow and ice, and specifically requested the boots not to be oiled, no polish was to be put on at all. I was told they would be ready in approximately one week, I called 10 days later and they were unable to find the boots. After the run around for about a half a day they finally located them. There was damage to the boots and the wrong rubber had been put on. On top of all that they had oiled them. Never again will I return to this store. They looked me in the eye and lied when I asked if they had been oiled and there was no responsibilities taken for the damage which they did. They oiled the boots to try to hide the damage they had done. I recommend for anyone reading this review that they take multiple pictures and document the condition of their boots/shoes before they drop off. I wish I had, they would be buying me new boots. Overall I would suggest finding a different company to take care of your needs. Attached pictures depict the damage and the definitely oiled boots.

They are irresponsible, do not ask people to wear masks and lied about having the shoes ready 3 times! I dropped off my shoe 3 weeks ago. They told me that the shoe would be ready in a week. When I went to pick it up, the somehow managed to give me the wrong shoe even though they gave me a receipt with a number. The owner promised he would drop it off the right shoe at my home. He never did and LIED to me saying that he had a concussion and he couldnt drop it off. My fiance went again to the store 3 days after to get the shoe and the shoe STILL WAS NOT READY! We gave them an extra week to fix the shoe and they said it would be ready by then. I went to pick it up today. They made me wait 15 more minutes because it still WASNT READY!!! Worst experience I have had in a store ever. Please dont waist your time and money there!

Both the customer service & work of this place are ATROCIOUS! I was lied to, cheated, and had my boots damaged by this place, dont be like me & ignore all of the bad reviews!!!On 1/24 I brought in a pair of doc marten boots to have some of the stitching repaired, they required me to pre-pay (charged me $50) and said they would have the boots ready for pick-up on 1/28. On 1/28 I was informed that my boots were lost & was told to call back the following day to check if the boots had been located. The next day I heard from a man named Pierre who said he located my boots and would have them complete in a couple of hours, he also told me I would be refunded for the troubles I had experienced. When I went in 1/29 to pick up the boots I promptly informed that I would not be receiving a refund as they put more time into the boots, anyway I was appalled to find that instead of stitching the leather back together (like I had specifically asked for) it was SUPER GLUED...So there i am thinking...this must be a joke...I could have done this in my garage...I asked to speak to the owner & told him I would not be accepting my boots back in the condition they were in as this is not the repair we had agreed to, he told me he would have them re-repaired that night and delivered to my house by 7pm. I gave them my address & left only to have them NOT DELIVER MY SHOES like they said they would & dodge my phone calls for the remainder of the night. I called back this morning, 1/30, to ask about my shoes & guess what...they had not been re-repaired.....am I surprised at this point? NO! They told me to come in & they would have the shoes done by 12, well I arrived at the shop around 12:30, and they were not finished, so I waited there at the shop until they were finished at 1:20 & well Ill let you see the results and judge for yourself if youd be pleased with this outcome...because I CERTAINLY AM NOT. To me it looks like they stitched an additional piece of leather (very very shittily, worst stitching ive ever seen) to cover the section they previously superglued together, and did not in fact address the initial structural repair. BEWARE!

I like supporting local shops and dont mind paying a little extra for it. In return I expect a quality Product or service. I didnt get any of that here. The new tread I just paid for is peeling away from my boots after 1 month of usage. 1st the toe, then the sides and now the heels. I could have bought new top shelve Red Wing Boots next door to them for what I paid here. I wouldnt recommend their service.

Im not sure how I feel about this place yet. I had a pair of boots resoled, they said it would be a week. I showed up a week later and the guy working behind the desk asked if I saw my boots anywhere in the sea of boots... Uh. Do you not have system for the this? Whats my number for? I asked if it was done and he shrugged and disappeared. Another man comes out and asked if I had been helped. I told him the other guy still has my ticket, but was looking for my boots. He disappears to the back too. Im standing around as they look around and then come back and say its not done yet and come back on Sunday. I thought they were closed Sundays, but did so anyway. They were closed. Came back Monday. Still not done. Finally almost two weeks later it was done. Happy with my boots, not sure about their system on tracking boots.

Brought in a pair of worn womens knee high boots. They restored the heels and polished the shank and my boots look brand new . . . For a fraction of the price of new. On time, price as quoted, highly recommend.

This place is awesome the real leather smells . The guy that was younger was super helpful and I appreciated that he asked the older man his opinion on what to use for my boots. They also punched my belt for me so it fits again. Let me elaborate on that he punched extra holes for me . One he took the time to figure out the spacing in the original holes and then marked the holes Id asked for based on that spacing. Also he didnt have the correct punch to match the style of my holes and before he did anything he came and made sure I was okay with it. Yall have my vote.This will always be somewhere I go and so should you.

This place is great! They fixt my favorite shoes, which I thought were beyond repair. The shoes were ready the day they said they would be and they were better than new!As I look through some other comments and I realize that people usually post experience comments when they are unhappy but this place is none of horrible things people have said. It is clear that the people leaving these bad reviews have no idea what they are talking about. Both the people working here and the owner are very experienced and the pricing is very cheap. I have been getting my boots and shoes repaired with different cobblers for many years all over the country. The price is beyond fair and the work they do is incomparable. So what if the date has to be extended. Do you want it done write or do you want it done fast?

Great work, terrible service. I know Im always taking a chance when I drop shoes off for a repair here, which is currently the only place in town. Once I finally get my shoes or boots back, the work is excellent (though expensive -- par for the course with shoe repair, but Im willing to ante up for quality). However, the shop is a backlogged, disorganized mess. Mostly recently, when I went to pick up a pair of boots to be re-heeled, about 3 days after the due date, they could not find them anywhere in the shop after 20 minutes of looking (and I had my claim check). They finally deduced that theyd been shipped out to one of the four other Denver-area Extreme Shoe Service stores that was less busy. They had no idea when theyd be back to Boulder. The guy took my phone number and told me someone would call me, which never happened. I returned a week later, and my boots were there and done. But even to find them on the shelf took a while, as we both searched. Shoes dropped off to have work done are thrown haphazardly into plastic bins, and finished orders are stacked two and three deep on overcrowded shelves. I get that these guys are super busy, but they need to hire more help and/or restructure their system. This is not the first time my order has been delayed by the rather chaotic state of affairs in the shop. However, if you are willing to wait and dont need your shoes in a hurry, they do excellent work.

I always bring all of my shoes here to be repaired. They do an amazing job always have been happy have brought five pairs of shoes here. I know they’re super busy because you’re the only she shop around but they always have been great in their customer service. I recommend anyone to go there!

More like Extreme Rude ServiceI called (in a friendly tone) to ask how much they typically charge for fixing cheap backpack zippers. He replied in a rude way and refused to give any idea of how much it may cost to fix. I never had to have a backpack fixed so I don’t know anything about how much I should expect to spend) and insisting that I visit the shop so he could take a look at it. I asked for a price range and was told 30-100. I doubt it; the bag itself didn’t cost me anything over $60 and it shouldn’t take any more than 10 minutes to fix and probably no equipment variable cost associated with it. His reply was very rude and I feel it was told so I would not visit so as to not ask any more questions. I then politely asked if I could send him a picture of it because my bag was too heavy and I couldn’t carry it with my back because everything would fall off and that I needed to have it fixed ASAP as I have school tomorrow. He answered telling me that his phone doesn’t have pictures. Obviously I’m not going to carry my super heavy bag to the store just to be disappointed at the high price!In the end, I just decided to go back to my dorm to drop it off and then visit Target and buy the cheapest backpack I could find (a brand new backpack costed less than the lowest price the store may charge, funny). Which is what I did.Overall, this was a hassle and the guy who answered the phone wasn’t cooperative at all. I’m never going there, and I wouldn’t if I were you.

I try to support local businesses as much as I can, so its hard for me to write a negative review for these guys, but I would NOT recommend this shop to anyone.I dropped my shoes off and was told to come back one week later for pick up. It took me 4 separate visits and nearly 2 weeks for me to get my shoes back. For the first 3 visits, they simply could not find my shoes, but stated they knew where they were. On two of these occasions, they said they would deliver them to my address that evening as soon as the shop closed, which initially I was impressed by such a customer-centered response, BUT they never came. At this point, I was feeling that they run on empty promises abound. On the last and 4th visit, they did the repairs right there in front of me, rushed it, did an asymmetrical and cosmetically atrocious job, and also caused additional damage to other areas of my shoes.I cant help but feel that my shoes were nearly lost on multiple occasions and that the service that I pre-paid for would NOT have been done AT ALL unless I walked into the shop again.Im sure they can, and have, done a great job for others and provided excellent service. However, for me, it was a horrible experience, stressful, and Im not impressed by their service or professionalism. WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME.

Nice guys. Great work repairing the soles of my 4-year old Steve Madden combat boots. Worth every penny and they shined them up so they looked brand new. Took less than a week.

Affordable, fast, and excellent quality. I thought it might cost extra to get more textured snow-friendly soles. Nope. They offer 3 types all at $65. They were able to return my boots in 3 days - I presumed it would take at least a week. They are very friendly and exactly what I would expect for in a casual, locally owned business. I will be returning.

My boots look brand new! Now Im looking through all my shoes to see what can be repaired rather than thrown away. Really glad to have these guys in town and doing good work.

Extremely slow serviceI came in to repair a small item. The owner seems to randomly decide on a price off the top of his head. I agreed and he told me itll take an hour. He also told me to pay in advance which I did.I came back after an hour only to see that he forgot about my item and was doing work for other customers. He didnt ask them to pay in advance like me.On top of that, I had to wait an additional 50 mins for a simple zipper repair.Eventually fixed my item but save yourself time and money and go elsewhere. Very unreliable.

This is the first review I’ve ever written, I usually do t care to take the time to review a place, but this was just a terrible experience for me that I needed to take the time to write this out. This was by far the worst customer experience. I am all about supporting local, but I will never return to this establishment again. They are unrealistic with their timeline on good work. They told me one week to fix my purse and when I showed up to pick it up, they could not find it. When they finally found the purse, they offered to drive it to me, which I felt was kind of them. Upon arrival I saw that they had just glued the strap on my bag, the glue was still wet, so clearly they had just slapped it on. I pointed this out and they said that they would fix it and mail it to me (as I was moving away from boulder). I kept calling to ask what the progress was and must have given my address for shipping to 3 different people....a month later, still no bag. I happened to be coming to boulder to run some errands this weekend and dropped by to pick it up. There was no apology for the horrific customer service I experienced, and no acknowledgment of the initial sub par work they had done.

They are pricey but they are the only game in town and they do a good job.

DO NOT get serious work done here. I had my hiking boots resoled by them, got the usual run around where the work ended up taking almost a month after being quoted a week. Within 2 hikes my soles had almost completely peeled off. Not only a hassle but actually dangerous given I was on a 2 day backpacking trip.I was able to get a partial refund for their work, but to spare others the hassle, I’d like to recommend that you make the drive to go elsewhere.

I brought in my boots and asked for them to be fixed the same day since we were traveling through. They did a great job fixing my boots and customer service was top-notch. The place isn’t very clean/organized and it’s not cheap either but it’s good value I’m happy with their work.

I took an old pair of Allen Edmonds for a resole. I specifically asked for a resole, and was quoted $90 for rubber and $100 for leather. Seemed about normal for a resole on a goodyear welted shoe. I went to pick up, and they had glued on rubber half soles and heel top lifts. They told me you dont need full soles, we do this all the time. I ended up paying $90 for something I could do myself for $10. Im glad I didnt take them a more expensive pair of shoes, I will not be going back.

Excellent skills. Yet extreeeeeeeemely slow despite promised times they give - if you give them a pair of shoes you may not be seeing them again for many, many days. I appreciate the (inexplicable) heavy motorcycle theme in their shop. Pretty unexpectedly exciting for a shoe repair shop. Also appreciate the name extreme which is not an adjective that one classically associates with shoe repair. So, I love the generally epic hardcore vibe in here, and the peoples skills, but guyzzzzz plesase I need my shoes back before my feet are being eaten by worms when it will not be possible for me to wear them

Extreme shoe repair has done an amazing job with all the repairs I have taken in so far. I brought in a purse that had been stained and it was a unique color. They were able to re-create the color and cover the stains on the bag. They have done a great job on a few pairs of shoes and were able to turn them around quickly.

EXCELLENT SERVICE! I needed new soles on both heels of my boots, same day. The guys did it while I waited, and did an excellent job. Definitely recommend giving them your business

I appreciate the friendliness and level of service I have experienced at Extreme Shoe Repair. I had a bag that need slight repair and they did a beautiful job on it. They repaired the heels of my favorite pair of shoes while I waited. I recommend them highly.

I have visited the shop twice, once for a hiking boot eyelet repair and once for water damage on my dress shoes. Both pairs of shoes came out great and their prices were really reasonable. Ill be trying them out for a resole soon.

Have had too many bad experiences with this group to return. The owner does not make up for the poor quality of service.Took one pair of tennis shoes in for resole, chose rubber, picked up and had put a completely different rubber and grip on. Refused refund.Drove to Lousville, and met Jacob, who has since moved away. He was fine but has left. Replacement carries same horrible customer service as Boulder, Arapahoe shop. Took boots for stretch and polish. First trip to pick up, nothing done. Second trip only polish. Took third trip 4 weeks form drop off to pick up stretch.Tried again with pair of heels, for slight stretch. Shoes were leather interior and satin exterior. Satin all stained and marked when picking up, still on stretch mold. When they removed, shoe was completely misshapen and the mold pulled pieces of the leather interior out. Offered to apply liquid of some sort to help return shape - i declined knowing that would ruin the satin even more than what tossing them in the corner had done.

Came in with my shoe which had had a shoelace eyelet/rivet tear out. They glued it in place, free of charge. Ive had a hard time finding laces of the right thickness, length, and color for my shoes (even looking online), but they had the perfect ones in stock. Also polished my shoes free of charge. Thanks!

I dont relate to the good things that everyone has posted here. Although they do very good work on many repairs I find that their prices are extremely high and they soak you because they know there isnt much competition. You could buy new shoes with what they charge. I took in a purse recently that was an unusual color which has a spot on it, went in three times to pick it up when it hadnt been done as promised, only to go back in and be told they couldnt fix it. I admit they made no promises, but I really got the vibe that they decided it was too much trouble and hadnt even tried.

Absolutely terrible service. If you decide to go here for convenience, look out -- you wont get quality. Terrible terrible service. My dog has had his leather collar his whole life and I took his collar to this business for repair. They just GLUED IT!!! I almost cried when I picked it up. I gave them a whole week. I had to buy another collar in the mean time while they were going to fix the problem. I tried to get in touch with the owner Robert and I had to CALL the company to get them to respond to the email weeks later -- so they completely ignored me. Brandon had a terrible attitude with me over this issue -- having no regard for the fact that their poor care of my dogs collar made me cry. He agreed I shouldnt pay for the service and when I was able to finally come pick up the collar 1 month after initially dropping it off, they did fix it but now it stinks like the glue that was used and it worries me that its toxic and they refused to refund me or give me some credit for all of my troubles of having to buy a temporary collar and having to make multiple trips and multiple attempts to contact the company. Theyre extremely busy and very unorganized as they almost couldnt find my item even when I had the ticket to pick up the collar. Robert & Brandon have completely ignored me.

A pair of $1500 designer heels I borrowed from a friend got chewed by my dog. The sole was shredded and a good chunk of suede on the back heel was gone/covered in chew marks. I went to Extreme Shoe Service in hopes of fixing them, and after weeks of tedious labor, they returned them to me looking brand new! Highly recommend.

The first experience was okay, but this last time was a total rip off and no way Ill be giving them my business again.I paid $75 dollars to have my shoes repaired. Not only were the shoes not ready when they said theyd be, but they didnt fix the main reason I brought the shoes in! The rest of the work was okay, but a bit messy, and plus when they shined the shoes they didnt remove the laces, so now Ive got to buy new laces because theyre coated in shine.

Walking into a retail business owned by meatheads with posters of women bent over from all angles from all directions in bikinis to greet you is clearly intended to get men all excited and women offended. Mission accomplished. Ill go elsewhere.

I brought my husbands leather briefcase in to be repaired. Beverly took on the project....added a leather divider, patched all the tears, splits and did a remarkable job. These guys are the best!

It was snowing and I wore my older pair of Vasque Sundowner Hiking Boots to work. I noticed the soles had started deteriorating from age (16 year old boots). I had no other shoes with me and Dan at Extreme Shoes not only fixed my boots, he had an extra pair of shoes (in my size) that he let me wear while I waited. He totally saved the day and gave me a great price! This is THE place to have shoes repaired in Colorado! I will be back for sure!!

Good experience—they rescued two pairs of broken sandals and one pair of dress shoes I thought were bound for the garbage (repainted leather, fixed broken strap, and resoled). Friendly service.

Terrible Service. Make promises not kept and repair pitiful and a month later still not satisifed. Workmanship poorest ever seen. Never use these people. Customer Service non-existent!! Very Poor. No Stars if an option only negative review!!

AWFUL experience! They told me that my shoes would be ready in one week but when I came in a week later, I learned that they hadn’t even begun the repairs and had lost the measurements taken. When I returned a second time, they had botched the repair due to taking lazy measurements. They told me they would call me when they had corrected their error (they didn’t) and I only found out the shoes were ready because I called in. I finally came in a third time, three weeks after the date they said my shoes would be ready by! The shoes looked the same as they did when I brought them in but now with a messy seam. The owner Dan was all excuses and clearly didn’t care that I was unhappy with the store’s service. Super disappointing! I’d recommend going literally anywhere else for a shoe repair.

I brought in a pair of Dansko sandals that are no longer made to have a the straps replaced - I was hesitant as they asked me to pay up front but so very glad with the end result. My Danskos look practically brand new!!!!! Thank you Extreme Shoe Guys!!! My initial doubts were completely unfounded :)

I took in my rollaboard suitcase for zipper repair. Did a FANTASTIC job replacing a zipper with a difficult, folded stitch and then went on to fix other minor rips and ten stitches throughout the suitcase. I’ll be back forever after the work they did for me!

These guys do incredible work--they have fixed my bags and luggage and also all kinds of shoes--from cowgirl boots, to hightech hiking boots, to fancy Italian sandals, to crazy favs from when I was young. They understand sentimental value and not only do they fix whatever it is, they polish it up and make it look better than the day it was new. I am so grateful that they are in my town at an easily accessible location and work so quickly. Didnt realize there is a Lafayette location--have no experience there.

I absoulutly love Extreme Shoe. They always fix up my boots for the winter, and make them better then new. Their turn around time is like one to two days While other shoe repair shops take two weeks+, are more expensive and not near as good of work as they are.

Overpriced shoe repair and horrible costumer service. I made it very clear I needed my shoes done by Friday afternoon and they assured me that they would be done Thursday afternoon. When I came to pick them up on Friday for an event. I had given them an entire extra 24 hours but they hadnt even started working on them telling me to come back in an hour so they could do a rushed job. They couldnt even offer me a comp for my inconvenience, just a sorry excuse.
