I have been working with Flatirons Tuning for a couple years now, and have always been satisfied with the parts and customer service I have received. These are genuine car people who want to help other car enthusiasts get what they want out of their cars. This is apparent because my projects are generally out of the box and they keep an open mind and are still very helpful even though my plans are not the same as theirs would be.

I ordered a cylinder blank from them. Part should have been new, but you can clearly see its been mounted. Product states that its new not used.

If they spent as much time on customer orders as they did on youtube videos this would be a 5 star review.Their website does not tell you if an item is in stock or not. so when you put in an order for local pickup and chat with them about the order you would expect them to let you know what items they have and the ones they dont.This is now the 2nd time this has happen and I will greatly consider making a purchase from here in the future.

After looking over there website I decided to drive up to flatirons tuning. Its about hour and a haft from my house. When making 4k+ purchases I like to talk face to face with someone. On there web site it shows both sales and shop hours. But I did not find any mention of being closed to the public. It would be nice if there was a notice on your web site that say dont come to the shop. Online or Phone is all that is open.

Ive been ordering from Flatiron tuning since I began restoring my 2005 STI. They have a huge selection of parts including older Subaru parts along with the lowest prices around. Not only that, but they also have super helpful staff which you can call directly or live chat online. Something important to mention is that they’re very quick to ship out your product(s) same day too if ordered earlier within the day whereas majority of other sites need 24hrs JUST to process your order. Perfect for whenever you’re in a rush to snag parts. Overall, out of the multiple purchases and countless dollars i’ve spent through Flatiron, I can say they have a very satisfied customer. I called Flatirons tuning to ask some questions about my recently purchased 2010 legacy GT as its my first turbo car. John was extremely helpful, sharing in detail some of his extensive knowledge, and what to look out for. I havent had these guys work on my vehicle, but just based on the conversation I had with John, I can tell these guys really know their stuff and really care about the customer, would recommend.

I Couldnt trust other OEM parts off Ebay or Amazon based on other shoppers reviews. There were comments about some timing belt component kit parts were OEM and others not. I didnt want to take the chance and Flatirons Tuning came through. All the parts were marked made in Japan! I had to return some parts I ordered wrong and the staff was really cool about it also. Great staff, great communication, great company!

This was my first time working with them and being that Im from California I was little iffy but after ordering a shortblock that was defective they went out of there way and helped as much as possible to do the warranty claim. *****NOTICE*****Do not do business with John Cooley or Flatirons Tuning. I purchased a new short block from flatirons tuning back in October. I had it installed professionally so no workmanship would be questioned. Upon purchase it was expressed that Subaru warranties every part excluding tires and batteries for 12 months or 12,000 miles whichever comes last. During the break in period oil was changed religiously every 500 miles. Never beat on or driven hard. At 3,xxx miles the motor failed. I had it towed to the shop that installed it and their first thought was injector failure but after flow texting the injectors they came back fine. So they decided to pull the motor and came to the conclusion that the short block purchased from flatirons tuning was faulty. After reaching out to flatirons tuning about the warranty I was completely rejected and was basically told Im SOL. Flatirons does not stand behind their word or warranty. Please refrain from doing business with flatirons tuning as they are not a legit Subaru dealer or business.

Ordered a flywheel for my 06 WRX early this year and the guys at Flatirons Tuning where all over it. Now looking into rebuilding my engine and any question I have Jon has a truthful, upfront answer. No messing around with these guys. Will continue to do business with these guys until my car is completely dead!

I dont know how, but Flatirons Tuning beats prices from everyone. I just bought a Seibon Carbon Trunk for my WRX, it was listed at $1060 on seibons website, and every other online retailer I came across. Flatirons sold it to me for $901 pre-tax. 10/10Aside from that, Scott helped me decide on some mods I should do to get even more power out of a stage 2 build. Super knowledgeable on everything Subaru, I cant recommend enough that you go here if you have any questions about your car.

I recently bought some Group N motor mounts from these guys. Their price was the best I could find on the net. They shipped quickly and packaged them well. The only thing that went wrong was on your first time ordering from them you have to ship directly to your credit card billing address. I didnt find this out until after the checkout process, they refunded my card but due to the exchange rate it cost me $20. I paid through PayPal and all went smoothly. Anyway cant wait to install my new mounts. Thanks!

I ordered rod bearing and main bearings, but got two set of Rod bearings with no main bearings. Scott sent me a return label and had the bearings in the mail with next day air shipping. Its good to deal with a great seller.

Stopped in on a Saturday on my way to visit some family in the area. Within a minute of me walking in I was greeted by Scott who was in the back working on something. Scott was incredibly friendly and we talked cars for a little bit before I got on with my mission. I was in search of a short shifter for my Impreza WRX and Flatirons Tuning came in cheaper than the competition and I was able to pick it up while I was in visiting. Plus, Scott was a wealth of knowledge when it came to the install of the shifter bushings I had also picked up, which will come in handy since the rear bushing is kind of a pain. Only major complaint is that the location is a little weird and no real signage to indicate they are there so it took some looking. Overall, very happy with my stop and purchase.

Great Subaru part selection, relatively priced.

They charged me for a product that was not in stock and notified me 2 days after I had paid. Then when I received the package one of my items was missing. After calling to see what happened with my item I was told we were waiting on your gasket to come in but the package was sent out anyway. Once again I received no notification of this via email or telephone. This company does not know how to operate. Do not order from them if you want your parts in a timely manner.

I have to give a shout out to the awesome folks at Flatirons Tuning in Boulder, CO. I was traveling through Denver and my OEM charge pipe cracked. I didnt want to replace it with an OEM version (cost too much for a plastic piece) so I called around to see who has an aftermarket charge pipe in-stock so I can be back on the road. Flatirons Tuning was listed in the COBB Tuning website as one of their dealers - and sure enough, Flatirons was the ONLY one in the Denver area that had the part! They were very helpful over the phone and had the parts ready for me when I arrived. The after sale support was also top notch! Both Scott and Jon spent time with me giving tips on proper adjustments to the Turbosmart Compact BOV which they also had in stock! Very impressive. I highly recommend calling these folks first.
