Best and biggest Big 5 store Ive visited in the immediate vicinity of Kenmore. The Shoreline and Northgate stores pale in comparison to the variety and availability of sporting and outdoor rec equipment stocked by this location. The prices are fair - for some items even cheaper than Amazon or any other retailer (bought a Yonex badminton combo set for $24.99 that was $39.99 on Amazon). The staff were friendly, the merchandise spaced out on the shop floor for convenient and safe browsing. Highly recommend!Tip: Check the website on line for coupons and save on your phone. I saved a screenshot of the coupon (see pic) on my phone and conveniently showed to the cashier. Saved an additional $9.59 on a $45.38 purchase #deal

This Big 5 had everything, and a friendly staff too. Very well stocked.

3 associates in the store. I asked for help getting the right shoe size 2 times. 1 guy said hed be right back to help. He ended up going on lunch break. With zero customers in the front and all in the back the other employees just stayed up front looking back at everyone waiting for the guy to get off break. Ended up leaving to go to famous footwear in Woodinville where I was helped 5 times without asking.

Great neighborhood location and you cant believe the selection of goods.

Cashiering and wait time, not great. There was an associate at the front with a long line and no one came to help on a 2nd register. The shoe associate however was So nice and helpful to me!

What an absolute JOKE, I would give zero stars if possible. You walk in, and you only see one associate on the sales floor running the cashier, and no back up from his team whatsoever. I personally waited over by the airgun section for about 20 minutes while the poor guy was overrun by customers. A manager finally shows up after being called to the front for an item put on hold, and the guy is walking at less than a snails pace, absolute disregard to his customers, happens to walk past me at the airgun section where I had been waiting , and puts in no effort to help me. I ask to look at one item, after not being able to sell me what I came in for and he lets me know Ill be back buddy, Im dealing with another customer right now. REALLY? YOU DONT SAY YOURE DEALING EITH A CUSTOMER, COME ON! I AM 20 AND HAVE WORKED RETAIL SINCE I WAS 15, THATS NOT HOW YOU TALK TO A CUSTOMER. Honestly the management here is incompetent, this was my first time at this store because its closest to me, and itll be my last time here as well.

Great last minute spot! Hit or miss on those special items yet its a hidden sometimes forgotten secret.

Nice store. The girl working inside was very friendly and eager to help me and answer questions. She also stopped what she was doing to help me right away.This store was also more than willing to tell me if they had ammo in stock or not (Sportsmans warehouse would not do this).Ill be back to this store for sure

Why is it that the workers at Big 5 follow you around like your stealing something? Everytime I go I feel like a criminal for nothing. Its uncomfortable and a real bummer. Makes me mad because I dont steal. I dont look like I steal and dont hang out with people who do steal! Back the f#

At first I had a seriously bad vibe walking into this store but I found an associate that was very helpful & helped me find an item for my Sig Sauer P320 M17 pellet gun. She even looked for another item I had been searching for but unfortunately could not get for me. Regardless, I had a great experience & wanted to thank her for going that extra mile to help me out. Always friendly and helpful

I went there with my wife to get a pickleball paddle and the guy, Cameron, the manager, had to unlock it. For some reason he was super frustrated and antagonistic. When I asked him if everything was alright, he told me to get out of his face and bullied me and my wife out of the store. I dont even know what I did. The whole thing was bazaar. I was confused on why he was so angry. Nobody deserves to be treated like this guy treated us. We just wanted a pickleball paddle

Fairly priced items throughout the week turn into Fantastic deals on Sunday. friendly staff are knowledgeable and are willing to educate you about the products and upcoming sales

Good prices not many people shopping which is COVID friendly but not much staff to assist. Still found a nice pair running shoes that fit well.

Its good but some of the prices are to high and some things are in different parts of the store so I would give it a 5 star but how I said before the price are to high cause football gloves are 55 dollars but if you want really bad gloves then there like 33 dollars

This store it’s a joke. I came in there were some employees inside doing nothing but talking between them. I started to look for some stuff that I need it to go backpacking and I couldn’t find it. Those guys just starting at me but obviously needing some help but they just keep talking between them. They didn’t have or I couldn’t find what I was looking for spend good 15 minutes looking for the things I needed it, and no employee even say hi when I came in neither bye or have a good day when I left. What kind of customer service it’s this?

Terrible product and they have stupid return policy

Went to big 5 first time ever. Store did not look neat but things were easy to find.prices were okay. They dont Price match with Dicks; which is fine but it can be conveyed in a more customer friendly manner especially by a Manager. ( The cashier had to call Manager since he did not know whether they price match).I may stick to the store I know best- Amazon .Also,They did not have the circle hooks that I was looking for, perhaps if they hadbth I would have come here again...

I was not able to find exact paddle ball replacement, but the employee was great nice and help me find something similar pickle ball replacement which actually better than I was expected. I was told that I can even return if that is not I wanted

That place was very organized and had so many items! I especially thought the staff was very helpful and attentive but not so much that they pestered. I really dont think to come to this store for my sporting good needs but I will in the future. The prices were good and just the variety was awesome. They have anywhere from sleeping bags to paddle boards, swim gear, shoes, gym equipment, clothes, and fishing poles all kinds of stuff.

Nice place lots of stuff

All the associates are super friendly and always helpful. I had gone to 3 different big 5 sporing goods, Bothell, Shoreline and Monroe, and all 3 locations , i had the same experience.

Legit customer service. Needed steel toe work boots and didn’t think it would be such a tough find in a women’s size. As a last ditch effort I made my way to this store minutes before closing and 3 of the men working took the time to help me find me a small men’s size that would fit me. No attitude or hesitation for coming in RIGHT before closing. Solid experience!

This is a pretty average sporting goods store. The employees are okay but only half are very knowledgeable. The product selection is usually good and the prices are average. Its nice to have it in such a convenient location though, especially during summer when you need to pick up a last minute lake floatie toy or a rain poncho for a big concert.

I like the store, selection is good, parking is great and access is good. Staff is pretty good, some more knowledgeable than others.Update, looks like Big 5 corp puts out ads for items that the stores dont have to sell. This happens way to often to be a mistake. Looks like they tease you to get you in the store in hopes youll buy some other items.

Good people work at big 5. It is a relaxed atmosphere with no high pressure selling.

This Big 5 is really a hit or miss experience depending on whos working. Ive had experiences with good employees who were helpful and engaging but also had employees who didnt help whatsoever unless asked 2 or 3 times. I dont shop at Big 5 often but there have been some good employees which I cant remember the names of and a couple of people I know personally who were helpful and I know first hand are good people. My most recent experience was an uninviting customer service clerk named Tonya who had an attitude with every customer there. A man helped me get the shoes I was looking for but I went up to him for help no real engagement from him to me. Lets put it this way if you go to this Big 5 KNOW what youre looking for before you go if you dont you wont get much help.

Knowledgeable about where Fire, Construction and anyone who works outside for a living get their uniforms. Pricey but well worth it. Can even watch as the make your customized boots.

I have never been treaded so poorly while trying to spend money in my life I had a general idea of what I wanted and wanted to compare side by side the feel and look and this lady was so dam disrespectful I found my self saying Im sorry to her over and over then after I got home I seen they charged me more for items than that was on the tags I sent multiple emails to big 5 and not a singal answer they will never see a dime out of me again and I have always got my fishing and hunting shopping done there

Went here expecting one thing. Got another in return.The staff is rude and inconsiderate. Don’t even say hi or thank you or you’re welcome. Simple manners guys. Wouldn’t come back to this location that’s for sure. Merchandise wise, could have a better, more varied selection.Overall experience: yuck.

This location is great! No annoying can I help you every time you turn around. Able to shop and browse in peace. They even had what I was looking for despite it being the off season, swim shoes. Not a big selection of them, but they had some which is all that counted for me. Thank you!

Ive been searching bfor new walking shoes with no success until I stopped by Big 5. I immediately found three pairs that I liked, that fit well, and were extremely well priced. I will be going back for my next pair!

The ammo selection here is usually adaquate for my needs. Good selection of sports equipment and clothes. Its always nice to pickup some items when a sale is going on.

Went to the bothell big 5 to get walking shoes. They always have the particular shoe that I bed in stock. They are very friendly and knowledgable and are not like pushy salesmen. The cashier was pleasant and quick. Altogether a great experience, which I have come to expect of this big 5.

I always go here first. Good prices and friendly staff.Stop giving your money to Amazon before local businesses become extinct.

Im an avid outdoorsman, been there 4 times never once had what I needed. Wont be a 5th time. Starting to wonder if its just a clothing store with some outdoor furniture ?

THIS BUSINESS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTS ME!!! Let me start by saying that some of the employees are fine respectful people. But... I can say from my own experience that either this business as a whole is slimey in the way they run their business. Or some of the employees need to be trained on treating customers like they mean something to them. I have 3 big complaints with this location . Number 3 the one caused me to write this review..1. Everytime I go to this location I get followed around by their loss prevention guys and girls for no reason other than Im pretty uncomfortable shopping in the first place,plus theyll, make you feel like a criminal for looking around. Ive bought toomuch stuff from this store to have some bad actors follow me around pretending theyre just doing some shopping with their fake wife.2. Theirs some lady whos young enough to be my kid working here, that thinks calling me bud isnt highly offensive. Im not o.k. with this young gal calling me bud thinking that being gender inclusive isnt highly offensive. I am a man. I am in no way confused on which gender I am. You can call your friends bud if your not at work . This has happened on numerous occasions despite my obvious uncomfortable reaction.3. TEENAGE EMPLOYEE STOLE 20$. I went to purchase bday gift for family member. This young girl who was nice at first. Started screaming that I gave her a counterfeit 20. She said since it glowed green it was definitely counterfeit. Mind you shes yelling this over and over in front of customers. I knew what had happened and I tried to ration with her and explain that the bill has just been through the washing machine and the dryer and that the whitener in the detergent is what was causing the bill to glow. Theres no reasoning with a teenage know it all though. She continued to make a scene thinking she was stopping a crime. I told her I wanted to talk to her manager. She said she was the manager. If shes the manager Ill eat my left foot. My 20 bill came from the atm at the bank so I knew it wasnt fake. She told me that sinse it was fake I couldnt have it back and that I had to leave. Sinse Im not about to have my 20 bill stolen from me by a teenager working at big 5 I told her I was calling the cops because what she was doing was theft. She then told me to leave because sinse it was 5 till nine. She was leaving and she didnt believe I called the cops on her. I kept telling her Im not leaving untill the police get here. When they showed up i talked to them and long story short they had to send my 20 off to feds to make sure its not counterfeit. And the customer unsavy teenage employee had me trespassed sinse I wouldnt leave untill the police showed up .If anyones listening dont spend your cash there unless you want their employees to take your money you worked for. Also do you want someone who clearly dosnt have enough life experience to make good judgement calls calling you a criminal . I cant even believe this. No wonder these stores are loosing customers to online shopping. This is what customer service has become. A joke. Im attaching a pic of the bill I question for anyone to see if I can figure out how to attach . Be careful and stay away from canyon park big 5.UPDATE: My twenty dollar bill was returned to me by the police department who were able to confirm the note was legal tender without sending it to secret service. I am still trespassed and wont be buying gifts from this store for at least a year. Totally unbelievable. Being publicly embarrassed and being told I was passing counterfeit bills was not what I expected from a simple trip to make a purchase. There was no reason for any of this.

Service was great a little pricey.

I went there thursday night to get a deer license with my son with only 5 mins before closing. If they would of said that it will take to long since they are almost closed i would of been just fine leaving and head over to Freddys. Instead they just gave me a lot of attitude, was very exasperated, and one of the guys just stared at me with a dirty look. The guy who was helping me was very short and rude so my son and I left. Freddys was great and really quick. I will not go to that Big 5 ever again.
