I experienced a wraparound professional and reliable service. I was made aware of when the currency I ordered would arrive, I received a phone call for pick-up, and it was ready when I arrived at the kiosk. The entire process went smoothly. Depending on the currency and amount, it is definitely helpful to order ahead, and the wait is not long.

Request for foreign currency was online and CEI was prompt to respond in 1 day. They notified when my request was ready and it was hassle free for exchange. Exchange rate was a bit high but 5 stars for their system and response. Will definitely recommend to others.

Worst service ever. $1000 is offered at 549.000 XOF from others, even though the actual rate today is 560.000XOF. Here, they are offering 453.000 XOF for today 08/11/2021. This means you are only getting $800 converted. What a way to steal from people. Avoid at all cost.

I ordered multiple currencies online and was available for pick up two days later which was faster than I expected. I used the coupon for the exchange fee on their website. The staff was nice and made the exchange easy.

This was my first experience at Currency Exchange international (the one in the mall on Huntington) and they really helped me out and actually BAILED me out in a major way.I was traveling to Bogotá, Columbia 3 weeks ago for the first time and, truthfully, I don’t ever worry about getting local currency because its usually Europe or Great Britain. Easy to get in my mind over there, via ATMs. Going to Columbia, however, I thought I better bring it with me not knowing the deal over there. I called around the Boston Exchange “desks” and really got the run around. “You need to fill that currency out online, we need to order it, and we’ll see if we can get it.” My bank was even a huge disappointment “we can’t get those”. Very hap hazard and not knowledgeable. Now, I’m scrambling and concerned. Finally, I called Currency Exchange and the manager, Amanda, was on POINT. She said she would have the currency in the store the next business day (maybe it was 2) and hold it for me in the safe. Sure enough, I went to the booth in the mall, spoke to the teller on duty (Sally) who looked at my ID and immediately got my currency (paper clipped with all the paperwork attached) from the safe. She was extremely professional.It was such a good experience that I am going to go there from now on before I go to any foreign place (including Europe and GB) and order from them. Low fees and piece of mind. Plus, after how they treated me, I’d rather give them the business than my bank, which was a brutal experience. As a matter of fact, I’m heading to Italy in January and will get my Euros there, without question. Drove an hour to come to this place, paid for parking only to find out that they buy euros at half price and thats it (if you have coins) I had almost $50 worth of euros, British pounds and Swiss Franks. After waiting for the rude not trained at all staff member at this currency place, I get told he cant manually put my visa card through to get money. I cam see why this place has a low rating. Thank you for wasting my day getting there and having such useless staff.

Ordered currency on Friday and they guaranteed delivery by 3PM Monday. When I arrived at 4PM they stated it wouldn’t be there until the next day and they knew this on Friday night but I never got a call. Go ANYWHERE else.

I used the services of this company earlier, but no more! Firstly, the site itself is like a mall cart on the passageway. Secondly, they impose a transaction fee on large amount exchanges as well. This fee rate varies with the day, or the mood of the person sitting at the desk. On somedays, it is 0%, if you haggle a bit, they may waive off 50%, if you dont you get the full burden of 100%. I was given varying responses about this.... which were unsatisfactory. Best to walk over to Boylston St and go to Travelex- no questions asked fee waiver over $600, well marked storefront on the main street, and professional interaction.

Excellent rate, as opposed to Travelex nearby on Boylston St.Needed some euros for an upcoming trip to Spain, did comparative shopping with Travelex and CXI head-to-head and CXI hands-down was the winner. If you want the extra money choose CXI- you wont be disappointed.

I was given 5 pound notes that have actually expired. The next day, when I traveled to the UK, I wasnt able to use them, and now I need to go to the Bank of England to exchange them (there is only one, and its in London, which is not where Im staying). Pretty disappointing - seems like something they should know about as a currency exchange business.
