I first met Sergio and Terri when I was looking for some splash cymbals. This is not a chain drum center store at all! They have a curated inventory of drums, cymbals, and accessories not everything in the world. If you take the time to get to know them, you’ll appreciate their world of knowledge. I trust Sergio’s advice and enjoy taking drum lessons from him. Terri works with youngsters on bass and drums. Very nice couple. Call in advance since during covid they prefer call ahead.

Sergio is wonderful! I sent our grandson a Questlove drum set ( not purchased from him and not assembled). When I got to Boston, I googled drum stores, called him out of the blue and asked him to help me out of the foolish jam I had created. He was kindness itself. He came to the apartment and put the set together as we watched. I would recommend him to anyone!

I ordered from them online and they never shipped my item. Its been 3 weeks. I called them, they said theyd fix it but never called me back. I sent emails to both their listed addresses and no reply on either. Stay away from this kind of business. The least they could have done is communication and they didnt even do that.

I am going to be blasted negatively by some for this review, but I am going to be absolutely honest and transparent! First disclaimer: I am a new employee, BUT WAIT before you dismiss me as biased...give me a chance. I am recently retired and have recently returned to Boston. I am and have been a drummer for about 40 years; 35 years with seriousness. I lived in Georgia, outside of Atlanta. For over twenty years of my drumming life, a few mom-and-pop drum shops, then few and far between in my area of Georgia, allowed for me to have the kid-in-a-candy-store, wide-eyed, ‘Christmas morning’ WOW experience. I loved that they were owned and run by drummers first and foremost, and people who took their time with you then, not the modern name-dropping commissioned vultures of today. Continuing...so then along came the huge national retailers, some of whom ended those type drum stores, and worse yet, ended the small merchant’s whose entire stores were filled to the brim with drum sets, cymbals, accessories, Latin percussive instruments, and new percussive innovations, to be relegated to a small foot print within a large store selling everything else, as well. These type of locations have dominated the paradigm for the past 25 years, but are faltering now. The trend is moving back toward traditional small-owned businesses. When Sergio and I met, he showed me his two shops; the drum shop and the cymbal boutique. The drum shop inventory was extensive and impressive, and the cymbal boutique was simply amazing. Sergio is a busy man teaching with Berklee and providing lessons, and he only opened both by appointment. I asked if I could unbox much of drum shop’s inventory, so that it would all be displayed, and displayed specifically in a manner to delight a visiting child interested in drums and the inner-child in all of us drummers; displaying all the percussion instruments, the accessories, hardware, and having all of the drum sets “set up” to play, not in traditional stacked-up displays, which bores any child, and for that matter me, as well. Sergio gave me full reign to reinvent the store, and I did so with that goal in mind; to be a warm and welcoming home-away-from-home, and for it to have a WOW-factor kids and seasoned drummers alike would experience. I think together we accomplished that, as this month is the store’s “Leap Year Grand Re-Opening,” and foot traffic has already increased. The two negatives I would have to post are: In Boston, retail floor space is tough to come by, and I wish the store were 5x its size. Lastly, it has a challenging location, almost akin to following a treasure map, which can be difficult for first-time visitors. I just tell them to enter “Public Alley 909” into Google Maps and look for the gold-colored door with the silver 247 Drums sign. I believe I have been unbiased, factual, and fair.

Fantastic shop and location right in the heart of Berklee College of Music. Great selection, prices, and service - Sergio (the owner) is the best. A Drum Master himself, Sergios knowledge of percussion equipment, gear, and accessories is first rate!

I had previously had good experiences with Sergio and admittedly he does have good prices and equipment. However, I purchased a set of new k cymbals for ~500... months went by of Sergio not sending them and saying they are on the way. I then asked for a refund which took a couple more months of lies and false promises. He even kept trying to sell me more cymbals on top of this. I eventually got my refund via check which I had to come pick up as Sergio was seemingly unable to send it. This whole process took about 5-6 months and was extremely unprofessional. I don’t often leave reviews but figured I would warn others to proceed with caution when doing business with Sergio, especially over Facebook marketplace.

I had a very good experience at 247Drums, great store, impeccable service, professionalism and knowledge. Furthermore Mr. Bellotti is an amazing drummer, I had the pleasure to work with him for my live project and he delivered exactly what needed to elevate the rhythm section.
