Kitchen is closed (perhaps due to covid); tables are dirty; drinks are quite unique and hence pricey. They don’t serve them in a mug. No sandwiches or ice cream served at the moment, which I did not know prior to visiting. The staff are professional. The matcha rose latte is very pretty to look at and actually not bad at all. Worth a try

It’s hard enough to find coffee shops that sell unsweetened matcha lattes around here; this place has matcha lattes AS WELL AS hojicha lattes, which is a roasted green tea leaf and therefore earthier and slightly sweeter. I absolutely love it! The biggest downside was that I paid over $7 for it. But the cappuccinos (which I didn’t get) were closer to standard prices around here, so maybe the increased cost was for the novelty. The shop itself is cute and has stadium seating in addition to standard tables; I’d love to bring my laptop here next time to sit and work as well.

Great little coffee shop. A little pricier than most but youre paying for premium. The iced matcha latte tasted high quality and had just a subtle hint of sweet. The vanilla lavender latte was beautifully made and had a strong, delicious lavender taste that I feel like most coffee shops cannot pull off. And the red velvet macaroon was a delicious pairing with both drinks. Would definitely recommend!

Easily the best textured cortado I have had in Boston so far (I have not been to gracenote yet so keep in mind) The espresso was a little bitter. I’m more of a light roast fan but it was expected for the type of cafè this was. I loved the little stadium seats. Togo cups only so that was a bummer but I get it. (Some places do some don’t offer here cups). I’m glad I came by!

First off, it’s pricey. Know what you’re walking into. Second, you get what you pay for. A $50 bottle of wine is not the same as a $5 bottle of wine, unless you don’t drink enough to know or care about the difference. Same with coffee. If you know and love Starbucks blonde roast, you won’t appreciate the price tags here and you probably won’t find it worth the money. If you love good coffee, run, don’t walk to Ogawa.Second, the seating is odd, and I don’t love it. I like a coffee shop that’s cozy, where you can sit for a couple of hours and feel welcome. This place is more modern, austere, minimalist in its aesthetics. If nothing else, it’s quite unique.Third, they have latte art classes! I wish I wasn’t visiting from out of town because their prices are super reasonable! Next time, perhaps. Finally, they seem responsive to necessary covid measures. Always wearing masks, well spaced out—perhaps more than most people think necessary but actually a good amount of safe space. Overall, I highly enjoyed the visit and wish them the best.

Pretty chill little coffee shop with a unique theme. Not sure what that theme necessarily is but they had a strong cappuccino and bacon scone (I’m on a cut) so I was a very content patron. There may be some small tables during non-COVID times but it’s more of a quaint grab-and-go kinda place in my humble opinion. Arigato homies

Fantastic coffee with a great atmosphere. I ordered a large Vanilla Iced Latte with Oat Milk and its probably the best Ive ever had. Lattes elsewhere generally lack espresso flavor since theyre drowned out by the milk. That wasnt the case here. Though pricey at $7.25, it was well worth it.

Except for the coffee, I like this place. I tried twice, but I just don’t like the house blend. The location is great. The place is much quieter than the nearby George Howell (and makes it easier to have conversations). Different shapes and sizes of tables help to accommodate smaller or larger parties. The service is quick. I wish they did ask if we wanted coffee for hers or for to go (I hate when they assume to go and hand me wasteful, disposable cups). I have to try different coffee blends when I return. I also wish places did not have WiFi passwords - it is a hassle to ask or sign up.

We visited this place based on high ratings and unfortunately were severely disappointed in the coffee (we threw it out after a few sips). We ordered a house blend drip, and house blend aeropress. Both were extremely burnt tasting, even with multiple sugars trying to drown out the burnt flavor.Living in Seattle, our expectation is high for coffee but this missed the mark. We are used to high coffee prices but our coffees were $10.The ambience was extremely sterile, unlike the photos which look inviting (why we chose it). When ordering we were asked if we wanted for dine-in/ take out. When picking up the coffee it was in take out cups, even though they have cups for dine in. They said covid as to why we couldnt use the mugs and save paper/ plastic. With maple and half and half it ended up being 2 extra plastic cups wasted which could be avoided if using dine in cups.It all felt extremely wasteful.

It is a great coffee shop. They offer a wide assortment of coffee blends and methods of brewing the coffee. Honestly if I had more time I would have tried their aeropress or even a pour over. There was a wide selection of breakfast options that. I would have taken a picture of avocado bacon and egg sandwich on a bagel if i didnt eat it so fast. They also offer a desserts like macarons and cakes. If Im back in this area and have a little more time Im definitely coming back to this spot to try some new coffee in a different brewing method.

Coffee is good - I like to buy their beans and bring them home as well. This is one of those new-age coffee shops with things like a “deconstructed cortado” and overnight oats in mason jars. The avocado toast is bomb. It’s a small place but designed to have lots of sitting space, which is cool. They’re on the more expensive side, as expected, but they live up to the high pricing. Of all the fancy coffee shops to go to, this is one of my favorites. Also very well located.

Out of the seven or eight craft coffee places Ive tried in Boston this week, finally got something that resembled an Australian latte. The staff here is 5 stars. I love the place and the selection as well. This is a unique thing to see in the US. The problem is that I dont think the coffee itself is great. I didnt think it was as good as other local spots in Boston, which is a city lacking excellent coffee (in 2021).

Got the barley drink (forget what its called), and got it unsweetened with oat milk. Maybe it was my fault for getting it unsweetened, but it was nasty and the barista didnt warn me about how earthy it would taste. It reminded me of seaweed/dirt/traditional Chinese medicine. On top of that, they charged $1.50 extra for oat milk, which is outrageous as the drink was already $6. The setting was nice and seemed like a good place to study, but I would not recommend this place because of the overpriced and not so palatable drinks.

Simply outstanding. It’s by far the best oat milk latte I’ve had in any city, including Manhattan. For a café on the aptly named Milk Street, you’ll be pleased to know that dairy-free alternatives are available. The prices are definitely higher than most other, similar cafés, but the taste of the coffee surpasses all others. Unfortunately, we didn’t see any vegan food or pastries. The individual at the cash register was phenomenally friendly, which made up for the baristas being rather standoffish and not looking up to speak. I really enjoyed the latte and I can’t say it has any equal!

From japan, and the quality and flavors show. You definitely tell the difference. I got a matcha horchata and their breakfast sandwich. The horchata was delightfully unique with the mactha flavor, but the sandwich was next level. The sandwich is simple, but that lets the creamy egg yolk and what i can only assume was a sweet spread of some sort shine. The sweet acidic flavor is a great contrast to the yolk and made each bite a wonderful surprise

Such a unique and lovely place. It does feel that standards are held very high. The quality of the food is fantastic and the atmosphere is economic. There is a stage which allows for more seating - at your own risk - which allows for a obscure vantage point thaf you dont always get in a restaurant. The mocha was perfection with beautiful artwork. I ordered the breakfast toast and it was much more food than I was expecting so I was pleasantly surprised. Watching what I could see of the cook was so great to see. Havent had food here as yet, but the coffee is top-tier. While the drip is good in its own right, what makes me appreciate this place is their attention to the finer points of espresso drinks, and in particular, their milk foam. Sooooooo many places, even the better shops around Boston, cannot seem to figure out how to steam milk in a way that makes tight foam bubbles - the method to a velvety, luscious drink. Best mocha Ive had in a while - I forgot to take a picture of the top because I was too busy pouring it down my throat.Edit: I keep coming back and this place has awesome food as well! Seriously a gem.

Came here solely for the latte and enjoyed it both times. It was very well balanced with not too much milk or espresso. It was impressively smooth and you can tell the Kyoto blend was intended to pair well with milk based drinks. I am not quite sure whether this place knows what it wants to be. By the looks of it - a super hip and fancy coffee shop. But I think a coffee shop needs to figure out speed, consistency and attention to details first, before it tries to be cool.Everything is frustratingly slow in this place. For no excusable reason. And they seem to think it is OK to be that slow, because it is always like this. If the end result was worth it, I may even agree. But in 12 mins today I got an overly foamy latte (bad steaming technique) and a burnt ham and cheese croissant that got forgotten in the oven. And thats with only one customer in front of me. Also - this is not the first time a simple order gets screwed up or takes super long. Not the end of the world, but the effort and the end result dont seem to represent what this place tries to be.
