Jonquils is my favorite cafe in Boston! After discovering it on accident when I first moved here, I’ve been back many times to enjoy their amazing coffee (if you’re a coffee fanatic you’ll know this is some delicious coffee), my favorite is the Spanish latte. Their desserts are ALMOST too beautiful to eat and are so decadent. The floral teas are a one of a kind experience and help warm the soul. I highly recommend Jonquils to anyone - the ambiance, flavors, and caffeine fix will leave you in a better mood guaranteed!

Jonquils is like no other bakery I’ve experienced. It is a destination worth planning your day around. The bakery items are pieces of art and then they taste AMAZING! My mom had the mocha cappuccino and loved it. I had one of the flowering teas and enjoyed it… but the desserts are the biggest treat of all. Who knew something this beautiful could be equally as delicious.

First time at Jonquils and it was a wonderful experience. Cafe itself has such an aesthetic appearance and I also tried to capture this beautiful geometrical dessert with a camera. It looks so much better in real life though. We tried Origami and Caramel Apple. Both tasted amazing together with Lavender Latte.100% recommend and will come back to try new desserts.

I recently visited Jonquils for a friend’s birthday and we were amazed by cute the cafe was! They had tons of great food and drink options and some really unique offerings. Their desserts were all very beautiful-almost too pretty to eat. I got a matcha rose latte and a little pineapple coconut chocolate treat and both were very good. Staff was also very helpful as we had someone with a cinnamon allergy in our party. I would def recommend if you want to visit a very aesthetic place with some interesting and tasty choices.

First I went to try the individual size apple caramel and double chocolate. The double chocolate is a bit sweet if you have a sweet tooth and a big fan of chocolate. The texture of the apple caramel is soft at outer layer then crunch and apples at the inside layer. I’m not a big fan of Apple but I absolutely loved it and ordered the whole cake size for me and my best friend’s birthday. The appearance of all the desserts are absolutely stunning and tastes good so I will definitely visit again to try the other desserts on the menu. Totally recommend it, it will satisfy your vision and taste.

Super cute cafe for when you’re strolling down Newbury street in Boston. Great for sitting down and enjoying your drink & dessert or for grabbing something on the go. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating but they can fill up fast. Their desserts are almost too pretty to eat, definitely recommend the caramel apple.

I am in love whit this place! The best hot chocolate I have tried, they’re desserts are so amazingly beautiful and delicious and their teas too. I really recommend this place and if any of my friends aren’t from this city I would definitely take them here as a one of the best coffee and bakery place of Boston ☕️✨ 🤍

We loved our experience at Jonquils! The atmosphere is very nice and the interior is so pretty--its such a cute spot to come with friends! Its located right on Newbury street so its the perfect place to pop into while shopping or taking a walk. The drinks are super refreshing and unique. Of course, you cant miss out on their desserts, which are the highlight. Be sure to snap a few photos before digging in! Once you do, youll be greeted by the delicious flavors and light fluffy texture. This is one of our favorite spots and we cant wait to be back soon!

Absolutely delicious cakes! I had to stop by and try a nice dessert on a hot day. The shop was very clean, cool & looked very nice inside. The cakes all looked amazing couldn’t decide so I got a few different ones. My personal favorite would have to be the coconut pineapple & the origami both were really good . The origami had this rich taste while the coconut pineapple had a smoother taste. Overall this a fantastic mini dessert cake shop with plenty of choices to choose from that you can’t go wrong. Definitely recommend if you are walking or cruising by newbury st.

This place is fantastic! Every dessert here is carefully created and special in its own way. An absolute treat for your senses! We tried apple caramel, exotic spheres and coconut pineapple. They all were delicious and unique. Highly recommended when you are in the city!

I specifically came here for their Tea and of course it was amazing a cool! Never seen anything like this! I also got the Origami pastry and it was delicious, it looked beautiful before my son accidentally dropped it, however it was super tasty and yummy!

Highest of recommendations!! These sweet treats are without equal - truly the most amazing dessert Ive ever had! Stunning to look at and when you taste them...HOLY MOLY!! Creaminess like you wouldnt believe. The staff was awesome, even in the midst of the monsoon outside (thanks Tropical Depression Elsa!). Warning - this place will spoil you. Nothing else compares. Jonquils has a beautiful spacious outdoor seating and the interior is clean and well lit. Truly an elegant experience from walk-in to sit down! Each treat is a work of art with its own unique taste and experience! Savored my first bite down to the last and regretted not ordering a few more. To go with desserts, the drinks did not disappoint! Despite not knowing what each drink was, the staff were able to explain and describe each drink and recommend a drink based on my preference! Service/quality/value are without a doubt first-rate! Take a trip down and I promise you wont regret coming!

Jonquils an artistic master piece!Been here a couple of times but the desserts were always sold out. Today for the first time I was able to try them, and not only are they beautiful but they taste great!!Apart from their amazing desserts, it’s hard for me to find a place with coffee that I like, Jonquils certainly meets my expectations and often come just for their coffee!!

This was such an amazing experience! If you’re planning a trip and want to do something extra and fun and get some amazing pictures for Facebook or scrapbooks this is totally the place to go. The cakes are amazing, same with the tea and rose matcha late I got. Hands down new favorite bakery and cafe in Boston.

Eye-catching pastry in Boston.Look at these adorable cakes. In fact, the unique shapes of cakes are made from 3D printed molds! They are beautiful and with many flavors.I especially recommend the yellow one. It tastes refreshing!

This was my first time heading to Jonquils Cafe and Bakery after walking by it all the time! I have to say, everything was so gorgeous and definitely lived up to the cafe vibes. Im glad that they have both indoor and outdoor seating. The sweet desserts were so unique and the taste was not too overwhelming. They contained the right amount of sweetness for my liking! I will definitely be coming by again to try out more desserts and drinks.

I love it here!! The most chic and modern cafe I’ve been to so far in Boston! I had a cappuccino there with my boyfriend and we non-stop talked about how we had to go back! This cafe is definitely just for the aesthetic and it does not miss. The desserts are delicious. But they stopped serving food due to COVID. One thing to keep in mind is that all their dessert have nuts in some way shape or form

I loved this small cafe on newbury street. There are outdoor tables, a few upstairs, and more seating downstairs as well. The desserts tasted fresh and delicious. I got a coconut treat as well as the infamous apple. I paired these with one of their blooming flower teas. The staff was so friendly and nice. They were all patient, kind, and full of smiles. I enjoyed my treats with a book and it was a perfect way to scare away the mondays. Highly recommend this lovely cafe. A true Boston gem.

Jonquils is our special place. My husband and I have been coming every Sunday since the start of this past summer. We came today to celebrate my birthday. The staff are always wonderful. The coffee is amazing and the desserts are exquisite and delicious. Highly recommend Jonquils!

A great dessert cafe. The decoration is very beautiful and the desserts are very delicious. Each cake is very delicate. My favorite is pineapple coconut, which has a very good balance of sourness and sweetness. I ordered rose latte and it tastes special too! A cafe that I will definitely go again when I go to Newbury St!

We had one day in Boston and this was totally worth a stop. The neighborhood is just lovely and from here, you can visit other points of interest with ease. The desserts maybe pricey but they’re a work of art that actually taste good. Coffee is good too. The whole place is just beautiful.

The round shape + sour flavor did it for us 🥵These desserts were beautifullly and thoughtfully made! We loved how all three were perfectly balanced between the cakey + creamy textures & tart yet delicately sweet flavors!☺️

I stopped by Jonquils cafe yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised. The cadre is beautiful and welcoming, the staff is nice and the desserts are absolutely stunning and delicious. They have outdoor seating as well! I have found my new go to cafe in the city right on Newbury street! I can’t recommend it enough. It’s art on a plate.

Every time I went to Jonquils everything was sold out. Luckily this time I went first thing in the morning and was able to grab some pastries! They are the most beautiful and delicious pastries I’ve had. The place is also beautiful and super instagram worthy!

Had this placed starred on my maps & was finally able to get there to try these beautiful desserts. Very inviting & clean environment with spacious cozy tables to enjoy tea or coffee. This place is perfection!!! Come before noon because the amazing cakes start to sell out. The drinks are fantastic and the cakes are to die for. Theyre a total work of art in every way. Nothing we ordered was bad. Not even mediocre. Everything was beyond delicious. Seating is pretty limited for more than three people but its great for double or single to study and read. There is a bookshop next door, buy a book and then buy a drink to go with it!As of September 2021 theres only two seating sections really, outdoors and right on the main floor where you order. That area can get kind of loud. The lower floor is closed.All the employees are masked. Theyre very kind and polite and helpful.No bad experiences with this place. Its my dream come true.We ordered the honey pear, the Apple caramel cake, exotique sphères, hazelnut caramel cake, Rose latte, matcha Rose latte, and Hibiscus tea.

A local friend told me about this place. The desserts look beautiful and we’re delicious! I also got the blooming flower tea, but unfortunately because of covid, it was in a paper cup. Can’t wait to come back and hopefully I’ll be able to get the pretty tea in a glass 🤗🤗

This place is a little gem in the Back Bay. My daughter and I stumbled upon this this café after a lovely day in the city, and our experience here was the perfect ending. Their desserts were stunning AND delicious, and their iced tea blends so unique and refreshing. The European/ old Mediterranean style interior made us feel transported to a true oasis. We will definitely return.

Very delicious and very cute. They didnt have the drink I wanted so I asked and the barista was so sweet and made a special drink for me. It was so nice to eat my dessert and drink while sitting on the patio.

This cafe is an honest delight. Gorgeous interior, so clean and comfortable. The staff were also great. They were all really excited to talk about the pastries and how they made them. I had a great conversation over the molds they use and how they decorated the Matcha pastry with glucose pearls.I did go later in the day so they were mostly sold out but I did get the Hazelnut Caramel. Now, I’m all for a heavy decadent slice of cake, but this ball of angel hugs was smooth and soft, sweet without being sugary, and had the perfect hint of crunch. Definitely gonna be going back, I really want the Apple Caramel pastry.

10/10 would recommend. Not only are the artisanal desserts & blooming teas stunning to look at, but they also taste just as good. As a huge foodie, I find it hard to find a spot that masters both. I’m beyond impressed. A Boston/Newbury Street must-see!

Was strolling down Newbury and decided to make a stop at Jonquils... boy am I glad I did! The staff helped me in making a decision on what beautiful pastry to choose. The treat with the swirl is an Apricot Almond Tart, the Apple is stacked inside with apple confit, caramel and choco sponge and the Yellow sphere has a passionfruit and mango filling! They look as good as they taste with a fluffiness and unforgettable flavor to them. The iced coffee was delicious and although I typically take mine with cream, the coffee was smooth. I will definitely be returning with girlfriends to show them this unique café as soon as possible!

Gorgeous little pop of springtime tucked away on Newbury street-- come early so you dont miss out on choosing your favorite of their bright treats. The cake we tried was excellent- great ratio of mousse to gelee and soft sponge layers. The rose matcha latte (iced) had a nice balance without being overly floral. A great mid-afternoon date spot for the end of summer.

This place is beautiful to come and take picture of the desserts 🧁, however, when you get to diving in to these sweets you will definitely be so disappointed. As you can tell these desserts are very appealing to the eye but not to the tongue. They had almost very plain taste except for the chocolate ball which tasted like Ferraro chocolate. The rest is nothing wow. I drove all the way from New Jersey for the hype and I kind of wish I didn’t. Don’t get me wrong everyone and the place is nice but it is not worth the drive or money spent. We spent $50 for something I could of tasted at a low end cafe.

Me, my boyfriend and my sister tasted Jonquils sweets for the first time together and we all agree its pure art! The atmosphere is just as good. We cant wait to go back there. I followed the store through instagram and thought that such perfection was not possible, BUT IT IS! Congratulations to those responsible for creating these wonders!

These cakes are incredible both in terms of flavors and design. A must visit spot on Newbury Street and any time you’re in Boston.

I just found my new favorite pastry shop in Boston! The sweets look fenomenal, with a very unique and modern take, 3D shapes and vibrant colors that definitely make a strong impression to your senses. I tried just 3 pieces, but all of them were delicious in their own unique way, my fav being the Apple and the Cube of spheres. They are also not too sweet or heavy as very often the pastries in USA tend to be so that makes me like them even more. I have to go back definitely to try all the other pastries they have. The drinks they offer are also very interesting, unique and with the right amount in sweetness in them, you dont need to add anything else in the drink.The place seems very nice, modern look, very clean, (something you dont see very often elsewhere, its either the sticky floor or sticky tables.)I totally recommend the place and I cant wait to go there again :D

Been wanting to go here since I saw their Instagram. Boy was I not disappointed. Cutest cafe I’ve been in. It was clean, aesthetically pleasing and the atmosphere and food was Instagram worthy. The mousse cakes were amazing and by far the best I’ve ever had. As a culinary student, I love finding small gems like these places in big cities. Hoping to come back soon!

Tried out @jonquilscafe at Newbury street last week after seeing their gorgeous desserts all over tiktok. I was not disappointed! Not only did everything look good, it also passed the taste test. They use a fish based gelatin, which was great news for me, as I dont eat meat based gelatin. The pistachio macaroon was also amazing! The interior of the cafe is also great for photos and there were other items on the menu that I cant wait to try out.

My friend and I came up from Texas and we had our friends send us this recommendation! The weather was so abysmal, but this was honestly one of the highlights of the trip!! It was all over tiktok and we it was so fun to experience. Loved getting to try all their fun cakes and the coffee was great too. Highly recommend.

Decided to visit the cafe with a friend these passed weekends (July 2021), the atmosphere and customer service were stunning! Highly recommend to experiment with their drinks! Pink Flamingo is delicious! As for the desserts, they are highly satisfying to dig into, and some appear as simple and classic (like the apple and red origami), while others are unique in flavor (such as cube spheres and general huge spheres).

Each piece of pastry is a splendid piece of art. You almost feel guilty when you take a bite.But you want to, it is as delicious as it looks!

Jonquils Cafe and Bakery was the perfect place for a local dessert! The cafe is beautifully decorated, and the staff was very kind and friendly. The mouse cakes, specifically the “Apple Caramel” and “Exotique Spheres” were absolutely delicious, and priced fairly! I highly recommend this cafe, and will definitely return in the future.

Decided to check out Jonquils after I saw someone share photos on Instagram. Wow! Seeing these edible 3D creations in person is mind blowing! They are so intricate and colorful and unique. Fascinated to learn that theyre made using special molds and that it takes a lot of time to make each one. Several delicious flavor options to choose from. My favorite was the matcha leaf cake but the origami cake with the chocolate mousse center is a close second! Definitely seek this place out the next time youre in Boston! Oh and the latte was also delicious! Super clean store and very friendly staff.

I would probably say that this bakery&coffee shop is a must for cake lovers! I ordered Exotique Spheres, Origami, Halzenut Caramel and macarons. They look as good as they taste with a fluffiness and unforgettable flavor to them. The flavors in each dessert complement each other. If you’re up for a aesthetic place with delicious cakes then this is a must to visit.

Great dessert, the hazelnut round sphere tasted the best! The mango cube sphere cake was ok but refreshing for summer, just looks nice but wouldn’t really buy to eat imo. The matcha was good but their fancy drink that had club soda in it was not good, definitely would not recommend.

A fantastic experience! Usually, I dont eat desserts because sugar makes me sick easily, but the flavors, textures and sensations that I tried in this cafe made me want to return soon. The exact amount of sweet, the perfect portion, and the beautiful carefully crafted shape of each dessert make the hour-long drive from Worcester to Boston worth it!
