It smells something aweful in there. About thirty percent of the shelves were bare. The state has no business being in what in most states is private enterprise. I wont go back. I will go to Tennessee from now on.

I was able to find the gin I was looking for from the chemist down in Asheville. Best gin ever!

This was second visit where the shelves were understocked stocked. No Jack Daniels single barrel or gentleman Jack. Barely any regular JD.

Large selection of liquor and alcohol. Two check out lines makes the experience quick. Employees are nice and sociable. This is a great store if you are looking for a whiskey, bourbon, tequila, vodka, or other high ABV drink. They do not have things like beer and other typical hard drinks.

The only liquor stores in North Carolina so you need to know where one is close to where you are. You can buy beer and wine in a grocery store but ABC is the only place you can purchase liquor! Never open on Sunday so place accordingly!

Great liquor store in downtown Boone! When you walk in, the first section has a selection of liquors distilled in NC, ranging from various moonshine options (who knew they made moonshine pickles?) to my personal favorite, Muddy River (distilled in Belmont NC and they make a great coconut rum).If your friends like to imbibe, you can knock out your Christmas shopping in one trip here!Youll find a lot of hard-to-find options here, and mini-bottles that are perfect if your visit to Boone includes hiking.

2x USMC Combat veteran OEF/EIF. Was denied sale because I medically cant wear a face covering due to combat related injuries I received in Iraq and Afghanistan. The sale was denied even after I made that private information public. However they had no problem selling to my wife with an expired l.d. To the owners of this establishment, you should be ashamed to call yourself American.

Unfortunately the guys that work here are not in the least bit concerned about coming out from behind the counter or being friendly when you check out. If there was any other option in Boone I would be choosing it. Some advice boys get a personality the world is tough right now a smile goes a long way.

Very clean and organized store. The staff are extremely helpful even to someone who had absolutely no idea what to look at or get.Instead of being rude because i had no idea what I wanted the employees instead gave recommendations on what to get based on a few preferences. They definitely know the alcohol They sold very well.

The abc store is the only place you can get many types of alcohol. This is due to North Carolina regulations, presumably. Regardless, I like it. Selection is large and centralized, which makes it less convenient to go there due to the crowds, but also the store itself is very well stocked with many brands available and on display. So, to conclude, its fine. Yeah. Fine.

Much like a lot of the mountain town buildings, this place is really nice. Having come from eastern North Carolina, I really like the rock/stone work on the exterior, and I realize its a functional thing, but the pitched roof really does look a lot better than the blocks on the coast. The whole layout is all-around more appealing.Of course, the inside is pretty similar to every other ABC Store in NC, as theyre a government-run entity.The guys who work there have always been quick and courteous in their service, and it has contributed to an all-around positive experience pretty much every time.I know what to expect when I go there, and I havent been disappointed.

They are friendly sometimes when they want to be and just dont give a flying F others. Great thing working for the town I guess.

Went in looking for a specific bottle of bourbon, when I asked one of the guys if they had any more of a certain bottle size, I was told while he was walking away were out, theres a whole self. Any other size was double the price, I didnt need a handle. The gentlemen was extremely rude, he was more concerned about the basketball game on tv than the customer. Advise, buy some where else if you need any kind of help!

The staff behind the counter was very rude and werent willing to give me any options for returning the bottle I had purchased an hour earlier. I spoke with the same associate who sold me the bottle and they told me I could not get a refund and to Go ahead and get on out of here. I was not asked to show my license at the time of purchase or at the time I tried to exchange/return it. The sales associates in Banner Elk are much more professional, they carded me at the time of my return and asked me if I would prefer a gift card or to get the return in cash. The post office is nicer than the staff at the Boone ABC store.

Whether you are a student or a local or even a tourist. If you need hard liquor for the best price, you have to come here. Since its a college town the staff are super friendly and where else can you get rum this cheap.

Incredible selection of libations for every occasion. Prices are the best in the High Country with plenty of grab and go as well as specialty items that you will not find any where else in Boone!

Clean store with a great selection to choose from. They often have really nice sales on different brands and rarely run out of stock.

They carry a great variety. Only place in NC we can find Irish Green Spot.
