People who work here are very weird. I orderdd a bagel with butter, cream cheese and jelly. They put peanut butter and jelly and cream cheese on the bagel. On the menu it clearly has butter & Peanut butter as two different items. Ive never had peanut butter on a bagel and I never will again. Not good at all. It looked like the guy making my bagel was either high or half asleep 😴 💤.Butter is very different than PEANUT BUTTER???????

We vacation in Fort Myers every year from New Jersey and the only restaurant we look forward to is Straight from New York Bagels in Bonita Springs. I get the veggielite on a toasted sesame bagel with added nova. The bagels are fresh and a nice size. I also have to mention the tasty black & white cookies and my husband raves about their pecan danishes. I noticed that the employees recognize their regulars and often greet them by name. Just an overall friendly environment with great food.

The bagels and pastries are delicious. The pastries are made in house and are fresh. The almond and apple pastry are incredible.

So I wasnt sure what to expect. I was just in town for the morning and did what I always do, google local bagel shops. The ratings here were surprisingly low, but I went nevertheless. To start with, yes the bagels are not the best. What we expect for bagels is more like what LMB Bagels in Punta Gorda makes. Try them to see the difference. But honestly , the biggest problem, being charged $6.38 for 2 bagels with butter. That is about $1 higher than the sign says. The fact that you charge $1 for butter to begin with is a crime, somehow it is now up to $2.Tha bagel shop itself looks nice, maybe if I am down again I will check out their soda selections. Though at these prices , with sub pat food , its not likely I will be back. That chocolate chip muffin did look good, so maybe I will try that next time.

Just moved down here from Jersey and have been looking for a good go to bagel place. Showed up around 1:30 and they were already closed! I headed over to hole in one bagels and even though I showed up after 2 they still welcomed me in and they were delicious ... just lost a good customer.

Stopped by to grab a late breakfast with my mom. Arrived at 1:50pm to a locked door and a man turning us away. I get that the place closes at 2, but a bagel sandwich only takes 5 min.. (or way less).. to make. Won’t be back.

My only problem with this place is that Im on vacation and sleeping late. By the time I wake up, my favorite bagels are gone. My tip? Get the container of veggie cream cheese to go!

*Straight from the dumpster* is what this place should be called. Got half a dozen bagels and they were stale. These bagels are also overpriced. You are better off going to Dunkin Donuts and getting bagels. Way cheaper and the service is better too.

Florida has a reputation for bad bread especially if you’re from NJ. New York Bagels is just like JerseyI suspect they fly the dough in frozen, bagels in all varieties are very good . They also claim to be your “Taylor Ham Connection “ ( this is a Jersey thing in case you’re from Chicago) an ever ongoing argument in NJ is “is it pork roll or Taylor Ham?” Well here’s the right answer: Pork roll is a product sold under several brands, advertised by many as Taylor ham. This is often a fake , 90% of NJ diners sell “Trenton” and other lower cost pork roll products pawned off as Taylor Ham, enough of the NJ argument, NY bagels serves up the “real deal” although the portion of 2 thin slices on a huge bagel makes it a challenge to find the real meat on the sandwich. And that’s my only complaint, otherwise 5 stars

Extremely disappointed. Simply the worst bagels and muffins, our family had eaten. Were from N.Y., this shop would have to close in the first week with products like we were served. Wont return ever....Dont lie to your customers about how you make your bagels fresh...you dont, no way possible.

These are not NY bagels ....not sure what they are ? You are better off getting your breakfast sandwich on a roll instead of one of there bagels. There coffee rolls and danishes on the other hand are very good. And do not ask for cream cheese on your bagel , that will change your $1,50 bagel into a $5.00 bagel .

Hands down best bagels, cream cheese and pastries in town! The staff is always nice, the place is clean and you dont wait long for your food. Their breakfast sandwiches are sooooo good! So happy they opened one closer to Fort Myers, I use to drive to Naples.

Our administration bought bagels for everyone from here the other day. I was so impressed we’ve been back twice in the past week. Seriously the best bagel I’ve ever had! The cream cheese is amazing too! Can’t wait to return and continue to try all the tasty food on the menu!

Ordered a Bacon Egg and Cheese on a Kaiser to go. Drive to work and open up the sandwich and guess what I find.... egg and ketchup...no cheese, no bacon and with ketchup!. These people are totally incompetent and the food is not all that great anyway. Do not go to this place!! So sick of incompetent people!!!! Had to give one star to post or I would give them nothing! Of course they wanted me to drive back to replace the sandwich...

I am disgusted at how I was spoken to by the cashier woman. I waited in line for 10 minutes and while nearing the front I stepped behind the rope to allow others to view the pastry’s while trying to maintain my social distance, when I was next the cashier woman said “You know there’s a line right? Everyone needs to wait in the line, there’s no cutting.”I am SO beyond taken back that I waited in the line like everyone else, tried to be polite enough to let others view your products, and was spoken to like I’m less of a human/customer than anyone else in there.And the WORST most humiliating part is when I was waiting for my bagel the cashier woman was clearly talking about me with the other cashier woman with hand gestures and all.Terrible experience don’t expect me back.

Best bagels around. Now these are the real New York bagels. You get the size and taste all in one. Price is a little high for a toasted buttered bagel 2.36. But is will work. Egg bagel is really good.

Was a repeat customer until this morning when I saw the cook wipe his gloved hands on his pants several times and then touch my and other customers food while preparing/packaging. He then handed me my order in a paper bag with cream cheese smeared on the outside. Nothing I ordered had cream cheese. I should have asked for a refund right there but didnt want to waste even more time after waiting 25 minutes for two bagel sandwiches. I try to be understanding but it wasnt busy and there is no excuse for unsanitary restaurant practices especially with Covid going on. Get your act together Bonita SFNY. The high school kids you have down in Naples running that location do a better job than you by far.

This place is just AMAZING! My boyfriend stumbled across this bagel restaurant January 6, 2020. Since then, we have been back 3 different times. Definitely going to continue to get breakfast. Although, one day, maybe we will try and get lunch, too. The best part next to the taste is the price. If you are in the area looking for a good place to eat, This is a MUST!

As the name implies these are real NY / Northeast style bagels fresh and chewy. Orders are quickly prepared with a healthy schmeer. The salt bagel makes this a legit bagel shop!

Good bagel, but waited over 15 min for a bagel come to find out that my sandwich was seating on the window cold plus still was waiting for the another bagel that was not made.

Having grown up in NJ with access to NY bagels, these don’t compare at all. The bagels are bready and flavorless. Service was good and friendly but for me, the bagels are more important. SW Florida has better bagel shops. Just because you “make them the same way” doesn’t mean they are comparable.

This is a really good bagel shop with a variety of bagels, sandwiches, pastries, cookies, and muffins. The coffee is good, and the bagels are pretty good. Service is great. By the way, you get 15 bagels with their dozen. Highly recommended locally owned business.

Great quality. Awesome price. Paid $2.50 for an Asiago bagel with butter. The nova lox is also very good here. It is a smoked salmon on your choice of bread with cream cheese and capers. Cold brew also available. Never have to wait more than five minutes. Outdoor patio!

The bagels taste great, but our experience in overall is a mixed bag. They either make a mistake or forget your order completely. Some (not all) are grumpy and not attentive. And they would not slice your bagels unless you pay for doing it (Should they offer a discount for not toasting them and not spreading the cream cheese for you?)

I was in town for a family vacation and was looking for a quick breakfast. This definitely fit the bill! The service was great, fast, and food even better. I asked for a special meal for my two year old, and they happily obliged even with it not being on the menu.The bagels were legit and filling, but, didnt leave me with that stuffed feeling that I usually get after a Panera bagel. BTW, they also offer fresh pastries, cookies and regular bread if you are not into the bagels.We loved this place so much, we went back a second day! And even though they get lots of traffic, they keep it moving without compromising service. Ill definitely go back next time Im in town. Highly recommend.

Im happy to have this place nearby. I have family in New York City and know what a great fresh bagel should taste like. SFNY Bagels has those fresh bagels I crave, and they are very generous with the fresh meat and sandwich fillings, just like the delis in NYC. At first you may think some prices are a touch high, but trust me, youll get what you pay for! If you eat here, you will become a spoiled regular, like me!!!

Best bagels in SWFL! Hands down. I’ve tried many and I’ve traveled a ton. These are some of the best I’ve had outside of the New York area. Great variety too.

Favorite place to get bagels in the area. My wife and I go here a lot (probably too much) and they are very consistent with the quality of their bagels and their service. Even when it gets busy, and it does regularly in the morning and on the weekends, they get you your food pretty quickly. They have a lot of different options as far as the bagels go and when Ive had lunch a couple of times, their sandwiches are good as well. Highly recommend!

We stopped by here on Sunday 7/28 around 10:45 in the morning. When we walked in the door, there were several open tables and three customers ahead of us. The three of us each ordered a bagel (smoked salmon and cream cheese for me), two cold brew coffees and one hot coffee. Although it became moderately busy, I wasnt expecting to wait nearly 30 minutes for our bagels to be ready. At one point I mentioned that maybe our order had been completely forgotten. When our food was finally ready, even though we had stated we would be dining in, it was served up in a paper bag...no plates. Then, when we opened the bag, there were two additional jalapeño bagels with cream cheese (we never ordered those) but my bagel with salmon was missing. Another wait while they corrected it.Overall, the employees were friendly, the atmosphere was very nice and the menu selection is more than adequate. Unfortunately, the service was unbelievably and unacceptably slow, they were completely out of plain bagels and the ice machine was evidently down. On top of this, our table clearly hadnt been wiped down so I took it upon myself to use several napkins to clean up the mess. The bagels were good but the slow service coupled with the mistakes on our order were disappointing. No one should have to wait nearly a half hour for three bagels with coffee and then wait yet again for the mistakes to be corrected.

Best bagels in SW Florida. The Bonita location, not to be confused with the Naples store, has great food and more importantly amazing service and a Very Friendly staff. The managers are always going up and above to ensure a nice food experience. Definitely a good place with good people.

Update: really friendly staff very well clean. Im going to have to try to get here during lunch so I can try a sandwich but as far as breakfast go and bagels in the morning, this is the place to be in this area1st visit:a great spot with good bagels... next visit for sandwiches

Major disappointment. Dry, dry bagels. They certainly did not taste anything like New York bagels. Tossed our order in the garbage after a few bites. I’ve had frozen grocery store bagels that tasted better!

Rating reflects more about the management/ownership of this place than the food.Bagels are really good and with my order of the breakfast bagel sandwich with egg and sausage, eggs were made to order on the grill. My daughter, whos somewhat picky about her everything bagel gave it two thumbs up.Reasons why I knocked this down a couple stars:1. Employees need some help. I came on Sunday morning and there were exactly two people working there with lines forming and people waiting for 10-15 minutes for food. I will give credit to the two people working there. They remained calmed and friendly despite feeling the pressure and worked as fast as they could without sacrificing quality. Maybe I just came at bad time and this is not the norm.2. Youre going to charge to slice half a dozen bagels????? I ordered to eat on site and also ordered 6 bagels to go and asked for it to be sliced. I was told that the policy is they will charge to slice when its busy. Is that really your policy? I have never been to a bagel place that charges to slice their bagels. Seems nit picky but that was a real turn off for me. I am not sure if this is their policy or the employee may have interpreted incorrectly.Overall, good bagels. I hope they change their bagel slicing policy.

Anyone who knows NY bagels, knows this place is not, not, not a NY bagel. If the owner spent half the effort on the food that theyve spent on a beautifying the shop, we might have something worth going to.IDK, maybe just order coffee and pop a common grocery store bagel in the toaster, theres no difference.So taste is awful, the size is ridiculously small, and yes, they are dry, like an overcooked Turkey.

The best part of my daily commute from Fort Myers to Bonita each day, is stopping in to grab a sesame bagel. The staff is super friendly and energetic in the morning. Truly love this place.

The bagels dont taste like they are from NY and Im from up there so I know. Apart from that the service was so slow even out of season. I cant imagine how it will be during high season. The last problem was that my husband asked for a bagel, not toasted to go. Then 45 minutes later we got a toasted bagel. Listening is a good thing.

Similar to other reviews - unacceptably slow at getting the food out - and it happened at both visits - 20 minutes for a bagel sandwich... Both times they forgot my order or it got lost.... Owner needs to get a new ticketing system or something. The bagels are very tasty but dont plan on coming if you have other things that need to get done.

The bagels and sandwiches are good. The prices are much higher than NYC for a simple bagel. Customer service was less than expediante and no eye contact from cashier. Regardless of all of that, the bagels are not fresh enough.

I noticed that the owner only responds to the good ratings, you should rethink that owner person. My husband and I visited your establishment a few weeks back and I must say our food was absolutely great.However, there is no warmth from your personal, no eye contact or smile. That runs over to the whole dining experience, blah, blah blah! We’ll give it one more try because we liked all the items we ordered but please work with your employees to improve their attitudes. 😊

Good food, we are weekly customers. However, our breakfast sandwiches are usually made wrong (i.e. including an egg when it wasnt ordered). Great bagels, and Im from NJ so I appreciate the porkroll!

I was sad that the German bakery that used to be in this location had closed, but this is a great replacement. The food was delicious and took home many different pastries for later on. Great job!!!👍👍👍

Apparently they can’t handle it when they get busy. They stopped taking orders for the toaster and grill so they could catch up. Also, the lady in the back was screaming at her employees. The food might be good, but I’d never waIt 20 minutes for a bagel. Super unpleasant.

Im not sure whats changed here but wow, the bagels I bought were terrible. The cream cheese had almost a bitter taste. The kid working there was not happy to be there in the least. And if youre going to charge $2.50 for a soda, please have it in an adult size cup and not a sippy cup.to owner: no worries. i dont get here anymore. too many bagel shops around these days.

Just stopped by Straight From NY Bagels in Bonita Springs after a strong doctors visit! Had a craving. Funny, some older gentleman parked his car at the same time I did and then got out of his car so fast and actually ran into the store. Yelled at this wife to grab a table outside! I really thought he was trying to be to the front of the line! LOL. Anyway, placed an order of a sesame with egg, pork roll(?) and cheese and a toasted sesame (well done) with butter. Mmmmm! Cashier was funny, personable and seemed honest. The cook was on the ball and was moving quickly to get everyones order done fast. However, there was no coke in the machine. I love coke with all of my meals. I told the cashier. She then went to a guy who was sitting down talking to a friend of his, I guess. The guy must have been the owner because he wasnt wearing the uniform. He plainly said that there was nothing he could do until the beverage guy dropped by. She then explained that to me and I went with another drink. Im going to be picky right now because I used to be in the retail game for nearly 20 years. WRONG ATTITUDE!!! The owner should of came to me personally and apologized that they were out of coke and that he would offer a substitute or a refund or something else. Instead he just sat there, with no emotion, and told the cashier what to tell me. For a small business, I expected a more personal touch. Also, the bagels are definitely not straight from New York. They are heavy and too dense and dont have the crispness on the outside that represent a NY style bagel. I will now stop going and spending my money at this place. Humility and sincerity is very important folks.

Finally got around to going here. Wish I went earlier. Everyone including the kids give it a 5 star. Bagels were awesome.

Was really looking forward to trying this place out. First visit they got my order incorrect. Second try the load so much peanut butter and jelly on it , it was not edible.In my opinion it should have been pretty simple to deliver a peanut butter and jam bagel.
