Im sure most of us read the news about Barnes & Noble is failing. However, Im one of those old fashioned people. I like to go to bookstores, touch the books, spend time among the aisles. Today I purchased a few magazines, couple of books, and two games. After checkout, I was told that they are out of plastic bags. Thats not a problem but when I wanted to purchase the small canvas tote. BUT! ITS $16.99. Cmon guys! I support your mission, but I buy books for that. If you make it affordable, you encourage people not to use plastic bags.

Nice to visit a physical bookstore. Nothing overly special about this location, it was clean with plenty of inventory. My husband, sons, nephew and I were there for roughly 30 minutes. No interaction with the staff, but enjoyed the childrens section. If Im in the neighborhood again I would stop by.

This location is a very nice Barnes and Noble. They have a nice selection of books, Blu Ray discs, music, games, ect. The store is very clean and the coffee shop makes a good brew! The customer service is very helpful too. I also like the fact that they sell vinyl records here as well.

Its nice to travel to a big, well stocked bookstore. My daughter and I went browsing here and it was really fun. They have a number of enticing discounted books scattered about the store, which may tempt one top pick up a little more than one planned. Their discount program seems legit, and depending on your number of purchases can save you money. Theres a good sized game section, too.

Love the staff, everyone is always so friendly and helpful. Very organized and clean.

This is a very nice Barnes & Noble. They have a great childrens section with a huge selection and a wooden train set for the kids to play. This location also features a Cafe with a good selection of coffee and cakes. New to me was that they also have a vinyl section thats well-stocked. I would highly recommend this store if you are interested in browsing the books before purchase.

Barnes and Noble are always a great place to be. Its relaxing, comfortable, after a hard or rough day at work. I purchase a Word Search book and a slice of Cheese Cake.

I told the barista to make me the drink she hates the most. She gave me a matcha latte with oat milk. It was disgusting and I hated it. 10/10

If youre looking for YA or mystery novels this is the location for you. The other sections were smaller and didnt have a lot of variety.

We were at the Barnes & Noble in Bolingbrook today, June 24th. The store is great! Large selection of books for all ages, as well as puzzles, Legos and stuffed animals, which is great because I brought my 2 grandchildren in. The only negative was the young woman at the register. Clearly, she did not want to be at work today, her attitude was awful. She did not speak to me other than to tell me what my total was. I spent $85.00 and would expect, at minimum, a THANK YOU!

I love this store! But just as sorely disappointed about the poetry section shrinking to only two bookcases. It means new poets are not given the space and promotion they deserve, especially when half the space is taken up by classic poets. Please expand again! At least give as much space as Home Decoration or Crafts.

Went in to buy a manga book that said it was IN STOCK at this store and when I checked the shelf, it wasn’t there. I assumed maybe it was in the back storage so I asked an employee working there if she could check. She almost instantly said no and that they didn’t have it in the back. The problem here is that when another customer asked a little while before me, they checked for him in the back for a manga that wasn’t on the shelf either and they actually had one. The lady that said no to me couldn’t even be bothered to check and I still would of been ok if she said it actually wasn’t there if she checked. She didn’t seem like the type of lady that would read manga so there was no way she knew it wasn’t there just by the cover of another volume I showed her.This is the only reason I’m giving a 2 star review but other than that, the rest of the store is pretty big with a huge inventory.

Book stores are usually quite, with little excitement to be had. Due to the pandemic its more so. Makeing it an introverts delight . Pro tip If you need textbooks make sure to order online ahead and they will have it ready for you. But make sure to browse the aisles for a unique experience lost within the modern world.

They had the books I wanted. All of them. Thats never happened. As long as you can dodge the e-reader sales people and steer clear of the coffee bar (unless thats your thing) then you can get a pleasant experience in one of the few book stores around. They have comfy couches.

Had to go to two today. First, in Bolingbrook, was assisted by the rudest person ever. If you want to say something under your breath...keep it under your breath. Trainee, however, made up for it in kindness. I think she felt bad.Second stop, in Naperville, was better...they tried.As a retail management professional, I try to be understanding but today showed me why brick and mortar is struggling.

Its wonderful to shop at a real and very well stocked bookstore. I hope people reignite the passion for real books not an electronic substitute. People who like to read think alike. The store is quiet and clean. The staff is excited to assist. I picked up very good bargains also. An enjoyable experience overall.

The store is well organized, especially after they moved things around a little while ago. They have nice display areas for the books, especially for childrens books. They have a variety of toys and games, even modern board games. The staff are friendly, and typically the checkout time is not bad. There is lots of parking nearby, the building is nice, and the area is nice and contains other shops.

Spacious and filled with food for the mind. This Barnes & Noble is a large place with a lot of classic and contemporary reading material in many genres and on many subjects. Most unfortunately for my literary side, it also has quite a selection of toys, games, and puzzles to distract the avid reader from the books and magazines. (In my defense, the fun stuff for kids and adults is also mentally stimulating.) The store also has a cafe, so I really dont see why anyone would need to go elsewhere to have a good weekend. I am hopeful that Barnes & Noble will not succumb to the winds of pop culture with its e-books and decline in literacy. Ill do my part to keep brick-and-mortar bookstores in business, and you should, too.

I come to the store often to find a nice little nook to read and catch up on work while I enjoy the smells of paperback books. We sure do need more Barnes and Nobles in this world again!

Ive been a HUGE Barnes & Noble fan for decades. In fact, back before Borders finally closed, I always did strongly prefer Barnes to Borders. Its the atmosphere, I think. As big as they are, they still FEEL like bookstores. This is one of my favorite locations, too. Nice and big, and I know where everything is. And I have the Barnes & Noble Samsung Tab10 reader, but I still much prefer the paper books. I know a lot of that is simply my age, but theres something magical to me about the smell of a fresh book, and turning a paper page that feels special, like you really are in your own world. Anyway, as far as this particular store is concerned, it has a great layout, great selection, knowledgeable staff and good pricing.

Barnes and Noble was perfectly fine. The Starbucks staff needs help. The gentleman today didnt say a word, besides my total and I will get your cookies. The woman made my daughters drink wrong and when she asked about it, the woman was quite stand oafish and rude. It wasnt our fault the drink was made wrong and we wanted it remade to be correct. I have never had issues here before and I will not be back if I see either one of these people working. Couldnt get her name as she had no name tag on.

Walking into the store, one would think that they have entered another Realm. It is beautifully organized and colorful for the individual who is attracted to visually appealing items. In addition the employees are very hospitable and will help you with whatever you need. While at times it is hard to find someone to help you, when you do they will help you to the utmost. I love the fact that there is an area in which people can also play board games. Lastly, while this is a bookstore, it appeals to pretty much any consumer you can think of... even the person who is not a book lover.

This is a magnificent bookstore! Its wonderful to walk these aisles and appreciate the great selection of so many titles. There are less bookstores of this caliber around anymore. So when I can come here, I really value the experience. I truly believe this location of Barnes & Noble is one of the best in the area.

I love bookstores, I really enjoy just looking over books and seeing what I may like. The store is nice big and just well spaced to find a quiet place to get lost in a book , or just talk privately. Always enjoyed the coffee and snack options. I have always found the staff helpful and eager to assist as best they can.

Its a shame. I was going to order a book for my wife so I went to their site and was surprised and excited to see they were open. I drove over to locked doors. How hard would it be to show your closed. I wont be buying from here.

Went in search of the new Disney copy of the Cinderella book. The woman who helped us was able to get us information on how to order the book, since they didnt have it there. She was very helpful, which had always been my experience with the employees there.

This is a huge store with a very large area for Starbucks. Very clean and organized. Not just alot of books, but they also have quite a few toys. Definitely give stars.

If you get a drink from the cafe you must leave the store immediately. The lady even called the other workers to notify that people were walking around with a coffee.

I enjoyed my visit at this Barnes & Noble. They had a nice selection. I also enjoyed the Starbucks cafe in this location. I was able to enjoy my caramel macchiato while reading a good book.

My family and I love to come here to look for new books and we always stop at the Starbucks for coffee and cookies. Great place to put a Starbucks and a very relaxing atmosphere. They also have a large selection of board games and many other products.

Great store, not only is the staff super friendly, approachable, and very knowledgeable but they are honest people (which is hard to find now a days) . My daughter dropped her wallet while buying Starbucks, staff found it and returned it without a single dollar missing. This store is always clean, and everything is always well stocked. We love this store and have never has a bad experience with the staff.

I always enjoy visiting here. Dont expect the old time book store feel, but a great selection of books and a coffee shop inside so you can start reading your purchase right away. Love going with a friend, browsing and enjoying a coffee.

It’s a great place to buy a book and have a snack while you read. They also have a nice children’s section with lots of events. In addition to books, you can find cool gifts.

I visited with my daughter and two young grandsons. Its a visually pleasing space to walk through - little discoveries at each turn but not cluttered or claustrophobic. My grandsons liked the kid area and she bought a couple of books from it. I was frustrated because books about history or societies were available only at higher kid ages than my grandsons. Dinosaurs, super heroes, or stock characters, yes. Ancient Egypt or George Washington or very simple world geography, no.
