Needed a lot of work done - brakes, pads, oil change ect. They got it done in the same day and for a reasonable price. Very nice staff as well

My cars rear brake pads and rotors needed replaced, so I made an appointment online for the service. I was able to get an appointment the same day, on the weekend too. The employees behind the counter were friendly and acknowledged me right away. I left my car at the shop and the staff kept me up to date on the service via text. I picked up my car a few hours later. Very easy in and out.

Ive been taking my car here for oil changes for about a year. During my last visit, when I picked up my car, I was given some news. The writer, Sebastian, handed me pictures they took of my engine. He said they found seepage around my head gasket that was in a place that could be missed. Instead of trying to sell me work, he told me to call the manufacturer because it shouldnt be happening on a newer car like mine. I followed up on his advice and, sure enough, I had a blown head gasket. My dealer took care of it, under warranty, thanks to a call to their corporate office, like Sebastian hag suggested. So kuddos to him and this business for being honest and not taking advantage when they could have. I would have never known to call about it, and would have had to pay for a VERY expensive repair. Good job!

Sebastián seems like a good dude. Told me what work they recommend after an oil change I had done and didnt try and force anything on me. Suggested available times to come back and pricing and thats all. Normally chain garages go over the top to up sell you and Im glad they dont go over the top.

I am a very nice and respectful person so I don’t usually do this but this place definitely deserved a review.Even as I walked in, they were already arguing with a costumer because they were pushing something onto him he clearly didn’t want. (Already a bad sign)I was in need to get my front breaks done because they were scraping really hard so I dropped my car off to get it looked at.I get a call at the end of the day telling me about every single thing they found wrong with my car giving me a list of prices. I politely declined and asked how much for just the front breaks, which the gentleman replied was gonna be like $400 + do to the severity of the problem which I agreed to. Also, please note that he reminded me that I will need to get my back ones done eventually.I don’t know about you, but I am on a budget so I asked for the total a few times.I came in to pick the car up on Monday because they are closed Sunday, they told me the total was $1,300 plus!When I spoke with the manager, he had the nerve to call me out and tell me that I told him to do ALL of the breaks(front and back!), even tho I told him politely on the phone that I don’t want any of the extras, just the front breaks done.After they threatened me with keeping my car unless I pay, I had to cave in.This place honestly only cares about one thing and that’s to get as much money from you as possible.I would recommend firestone over this place if anyone ever needs car repairs, they have kind hearted people over there who will sometimes even fix some things at no extra charge!

Prompt and courteous service for an oil change and tire rotation (no additional charge). Minimal wait time even though I showed up without an appointment.I’ve had three or four cars serviced at this location in the past several years and the Customer experience has always been outstanding.

I called early on a Saturday morning to see if Midas was able to work on foreign cars. Needed a battery replaced, registered and programmed and an oil change. After calling the dealer and other local repair shops who specialize in foreign cars, my quote averaged over 1k! Midas provided top service and only charged 365! My car is running perfectly. Go to Midas!!!

I prefer to give zero stars but that’s not an option. We’ve been Midas customers for well over 30 years & this is the first time I am truly upset with the service. I took my Jetta on for an oil change brake check & engine light. I was charged $85 to reset the engine inspect light after my oil change. Now not only is the engine light still on another warning light is on & Midas tells me there’s a valve that needs to be replaced costing over $800 I just had my car into my dealer & nothing was said about an bad diverted valveAnd to top this off my car is running very rough & jerky which it didn’t do beforeI will be contacting the store today This is the last time I take any of my cars to Midas

Unfortunately a bit pricey compared to other places that do the same thing. Ive run into a few situations of overselling, I guess this is to be expected... Its not always in the name. A few younger staff issues and overall sub par service keeps this review at an overall 3 star experience....

My muffler needed replacement and brought it in the shop around 4:00 pm. The staff told me they had to order parts and it would be done the next day. He walked me through the job illustrating with a diagram what they had to do and gave me the quote. I got the call at 10:00 am the next day that it was done. When I picked it up the car was clean and I paid exactly what the estimate was. All the staff were friendly and professional. I would recommend this Midas without hesitation.

Applied for appointment online. Got reasonable price. Wait time is good.I was given suggested fix to a minor sound concern which I asked them to check. Somehow they missed doing a tire rotation which I could have sworn I included in the appointment request. Partially my fault for not reviewing the invoice/receipt before leaving. I went to another shop to get a second opinion on the sound issue anyway and just had the tire rotation done there.

Called to get an oil change, was able to get in the next day! When I pulled up there were a lot of cars in the parking lot so I thought it would take awhile before getting to my car. Luckily, it was ready within the next hour! Great service by everyone!

I brought my car in to see if they could check the exhaust since it sounded loud lately. It took them under 10 min to tell me that I needed a new center resonator. First, I used the online appointment request and received a phone call within 30 minutes. After a brief discussion, we set my appointment date/time. I received reminders both via text and email. On the day of my appointment my vehicle was on the lift right on time. Within minutes, an associate informed me that the exhaust leak was due to a couple of rusted bolts at a pipe joint. I was informed that a new set of bolts should be all that was need to resolve the issue. I normally do not write reviews, but I was very impressed with the service I received and I wanted to give Midas a thumbs up. They could have easily tacked on some unnecessary work and charged me more. I would have been none the wiser. If you are looking for good honest service give MIDAS in Bolingbrook a try.

Soon as I got there they was ready for my car. The young man was done within 30 minutes.They gave me a list of everything that was completed and future work that is needed. I am very pleased.Jeff and the staff is great!!

I use to like Midas however ive been ripped off. They did my oil change and checked my brakes and I spent $80 then they tried to charge me $600 and tried to add on my battery being poor for extra money. I took it to another shop and they said only my brakes was $250. They tried to scam me. Careful going here. They overpriced and almost made me totaled my car with the the expensive estimate

My Camaro overheated and I couldnt find the reason why thinking the worst like a blown head gasket, so I took it to Midas and they informed me that one of the hose in the radiator burst and they can replace it,flush out my coolant and refill it.I got my car back within an hour and a half and everything was fine.I appreciate their honesty and professionalism they showed when I didnt no what to expect.

I called about our company F-350 having the check engine light on and it was the little wrench symbol on the dash and had no idea what it meant so Midas got their tech on it the next day and took care of the issue quickly.

I have brought my family’s cars into this Midas over the past couple of years for oil changes and brakes. On my last visit, when I arrived after making an appointment Brandon greeted me by name, took my keys and got started right away. I don’t know if that’s everyone’s experience, but nonetheless, they are knowledgeable, friendly and not pushy. I highly recommend them for auto and truck maintenance.

Dean was very nice & helpful, but $30 for a brake inspection is too much. They also charge an arm & a leg for extra stuff that dont need to be done right away. Also paid FULL PRICE for an incomplete inspection. FIRST & LAST TIME GOING TO MIDAS.

Failed to fix the same thing 3 times and asked $700 for a 70$ part. It all started about half a year ago when I was working on a car that was involved in a crash and had its RF suspension busted. After putting back the suspension I went to Midas to get an alignment for about $100. Next thing you know is that I have a bent strut and that needs to be replaced, I thought to myself that maybe I overlooked something and it was truly bent. That cost me another $400. Three months go by and the wheel starts to make noise like its falling off. Went back to Midas and turned out that they did not tighten the strut mount so now the strut mount bearing had to be replaced for another $250. Replaced that, not even 2 weeks go by and the wheel starts to make the same noise! This time they worked on it for free (I guess warranty or something). And now again the wheel starts to make the same noise. Now recently I got a new car and it had a poor alignment, earlier that day I also had upper radiator hose blown off. I get to Midas to get an alignment (I guess that first time I did not learn much...). I told them to also check to see if I clamped the hose all the way. Manager told me to wait for about one to two hours. Three hours go by and I get a call that my car needs to stay there overnight because they did not have time to work on it. Next morning I get a call saying that my outer tie rods are rusted in place and that they have to be replaced for $700. That was the turning point, HOW CAN 2 TIE RODS THAT COST NO MORE THAN $70 COST 10 TIMES MORE TO REPLACE. If they were mounted below the suspension then maybe labor would cost that much, but they are located literally in the easiest place to access under the hood. Also they told me that I have a coolant leak which needs to be fixed based on my low coolant level light, after I inspected the car, I found ABSOLUTELY no leaks. And the low level light came on because all the air got out of the system and the liquid level dropped. After I refused to pay, they just handed me the keys with the look that supposed to mean get out, and did not even document what was done to the car.

Never will be back!! They broke the air hose while CHANGING THE OIL FILTER!!! And then they were charging me $400 for the replacement! UnbelievableAlso I paid the most expensive oil type, and the put the cheapest, I had to change the oil again the next day. The worst experience

I have been bringing my car to Midas in Bolingbrook for four years now and have always had a good experience. They were able to make repairs on my previous car that another mechanic wasnt able to. I now live in Lyons but still bring my car here to be serviced. They do a thorough check on the car and alert me to small problems, that can be addressed at a low cost before they can become big problems. I trust them because I brought my car in once because I thought I had a problem with my right rear door locking mechanism. The door couldnt be opened from the inside. As it turned out, I wasnt aware of the child safety switch which was turned on, so there was no charge. I couldnt help but think another mechanic would have taken advantage of the situation and charged me several hundred dollars to repair it.

I come here on occasion to get oil changes but my last visit didn’t go so well.Back story - I took my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT (I know I should’ve went straight to the dealer) to receive a simple diagnostic test to see why I was receiving an error code (P0305) for a cylinder 5 misfire. They told me I would need a tare down of the motor to check the camshaft. I called my warranty company and they recommended that I go to a dealer. I picked the car up and it was in worse shape then what I dropped it of in. I receive additional codes and the car was riding a lot rougher then when I dropped it of in. I got it to the dealership in Naperville and they were unsure what Midas did to the car because nothing was documented. I called to see what they did and the rep at the dealer had to call as well. Midas told me that they only took out the coils and sparks to see what was the root cause of the problem. They told the dealer that they actually switched the sparks and coils to see if the coils/sparks were the problem. They did not document which sparks/coils they changed and that cause the car to be in worse shape. All in all don’t take any high performance vehicle to this location for major issues just oil changes (only go to certain locations), tire issues, and wheel alignments.

Totally misdiagnosed the problem. Tried to sell me $1200 worth of parts and labor I didnt need. Spend all of about 10minutes diagnosing the issue. Several angry customers coming and going while I waited. These guys suck, take your money elsewhere.

Love this place. Been coming here for years with all the family cars ranging from old beaters to new cars. They are always honest and fair. Hats off to Brandon especially. He was kind enough to squeez me in today and replace a burnt out tail light. I came in on short notice since we are heading out on a road trip for the holiday weekend. Even though the calendar was full, he fit me in by doing the work himself. Coudln’t ask for more, thanks!

I took my car in for an oil change they told me i needed to replace the control arm an needed an alignment and the serpanteen belt was cracked. The cost for all of it would be around 500. The next day i took the car to the nesson dealer they told me that was nothing wrong with the car.

I have been going to this Midas for over 15 years. I have always been happy with there service in the past. The only issues I have had in the past were my car smelling like smokers or my radio presets all gone from them unplugging my battery.This last weekend, my experience became a deal breaker with them. I brought in my car for an oil change and back brakes to be replaced. I brought the car in at 7:00 AM and was third in line. I received a call at 11:00 that they looked at the car and my back brakes needed to be replaced. Brandon also told me I should get an oil change, which I had already asked to have done. He also recommended I have the front rotors resurfaced and the front pads cleaned for an additional charge which I accepted . I was told my car would be ready around noonish.I then received a call around 1:00 PM that there was an additional problem that just came up with the car. When they test drove it, the ABS and SVC sensor came on when they started the car. This sensor did not come on prior to bringing it into them. The sensor is located in the same area as the back brakes. They wanted an additional charge to fix what I think they caused. I refused. I am highly suspicious that they did something and are not owning up to it.I picked up my car and brought it over to the my dealer to have them fix the issue. I will not be returning to this location ever again.
