Absolutely no sense of urgency in this place. What wouldve been a 10 min unload turned into 3 hrs

If I could give this half a star I would. Alro Steel is not a good place to work. I have been hear for more than 5 years and this place has caused me health issues, due to stress. The management is quick to fire you, watching for any reason to cut you loose no matter how hard you work. The morale is non-existent and the mental stress of not knowing if you will be fired when you come into work each and every day is enough to make you want to walk out, but you have a family to support so you cant. There is no one to go to because there is no safety to speak out. You know if you say anything they will fire you in retaliation. The location in Bollingbrook IL has managers who are in relationships so good luck trying to find a fair and impartial mediator. If you are considering working for Alro, run fast and run FAR AWAY from this place. They only care about their bottom line and could care less about those of us who make them a success. I have watched really good people come and go, whether of their own will or the unjust targeting and firing and I can no longer stay quiet. This company is a very poisonous environment.

I have an daily appointment to deliver Alro Steel Bolingbrook. Ive been hauling steel for 25 years, and I must say they are one of the best companies that Ive over my career. I was 2.5 hrs early and staff was courtious and very knowledgeable. They unloaded in a timely fashion. Best business to come to unload. Keep it up guys!

Not recommended to deal with it... appt 2am now its 5:30 am and still waiting. You can’t even sleep you have to wait to be called... very disappointed!

Arrived at 11pm. Had a 3am appointment time and was called to get unloaded at 12am. Perfect. Professional, Friendly, and fast but I wouldnt recommend sleeping overnight here as its very loud and busy and Im sure a knock on your door waking you up to move truck wouldnt be too pleasant.

Recieving team, will unload you before your appt. If theyre not busy..

If I can give this place 0 stars I wouldve. One of the fakest places I have worked at. They tell you you can give them feed back and they wont give any negative consequences but once you do, they are on you. They want everyone to be their little puppies. They tell employees they need to come in 15 minutes early and without pay. This place is micromanaged. Horrible place to be in.

Just like every other alro steel I have ever been to. Slow lazy people unloading appt was at 3:30 am still sitting here at 10:30 am. It’s a joke

Only been there twice. Great experience both times.

Hours for delivering are late night only and I can understand that. But when forcing a driver to take a load out that is narrow n tall because its 3 Bundles high n they say they cant touch others material after already moving 2 Bundles in the back is ridiculous. Its unsafe n can cause serious injuries if anything goes wrong. I asked them for safety reasons to please drop 1 bundle down n they refuse. Alro please help us drivers be safer out here n assist us if we have a problem caused by your product being delivered on time n safely. Help prevent a accident before it happens cause you never know whos family it could be to pay the price, even yours!!

Had ad appointment for 2:30. Nobody cares if you wait 3 hours or a day. Even if you have 2 skids they will work that slow that you will have to re-schedule. Mike - absolutely zero care about company he is working for.

Student and I had 530am appointment, arrived an hour early, got in and out by 530. Very easy to get to, and lots of signs. Untarp in the building even in nice weather.

DELIVERED HERE STEEL PLATES MY APPOIMENT WAS AT 530 AM CHECK IN AT 135 THEY UNLOAD ME IN 30 MINUTES

Come at 9 am.Unload me only next day!!!

Great place for buying small orders of steel too. They are a huge steel company but they still find time to accommodate smaller orders for DIY-er.

Why have appts if you arent going to unload? The folks here move slower than molasses in winter, they surely wont be done in by over exertion.

They start taking Deliveries at Midnight.Had a 4:30 appt & they took me at 1:00.(Helps to be early) Zip Zip I was In & Out.
