They are a great company so far so good. They came when they said they would the pool looks great. We are so enjoying our pool. They answered all our concerns and questions in a prompt and attentive manner. Ken and Sandy were wonderful!!!
They build my pool on the water on the south shore. There was an issue with the location and if it could be done. The hole was dug and the water table was too high to build the pool. The owner was reassuring and always said dont worry either way we will fix it. He came up with a viable solution and the pool build continued. The company stood by its long standing reputation and did an excellent job.. This was over 10 years ago and the pool is still in great shape. I reccommend this company because its easy when everything goes as planned but when it did not the company and owner proved honest and reliable. For all the bad review I submit this.
Worse pool company ever, they replaced my liner 4 years ago and I noticed after installation there was slack and we were told thats how it supposed to be installed well explain how after opening the pool the next summer we noticed spots where the liner was bunching up a little and it only got worse the following summer, I called a few times either no one called back or I was told they would note my file to find out they never did. Finally someone responded when I contacted the liner company loop loc because they relayed my message. They sent an inspector to look at liner and make excuses for the bunching up like someone stepped in this spot like no one is allowed to stand in pool, so it wouldnt be covered through the warranty they told us initially that it was an amazing warranty that covered so much for so many years. The warranty is still active and they refuse to stand by to do the right thing for a customer who trusted their word. Dont use them and dont trust them! Biggest mistake I ever did, any other pool company would have been better than this company.

Dunrite showed up for a service repair and told us they COULD NOT FIX THEIR OWN POOL THEY INSTALLED.They told us theyd have to send out another specialist to fix the pool 2 weeks later. They day came and the SPECIALIST NEVER SHOWED.Also calling them is ridiculous. I was put ON HOLD FOR OVER 20 MINUTES.By far the WORST POOL COMPANY Ive ever worked with EVER.STAY AWAY FROM THEM at all costs.TERRIBLE !!!
They installed my bottom drain wrong from the start. So it blows water out. And refuse to fix it
We ordered a pool liner eta end of July. Mid-July you called saying they ran out of the material to make it. We were told to pick another liner. We came in and chose Blue Grotto at your suggestion. Today I called and was told Blue Grotto was unavailable. You have our deposit and we have nothing

They put in our pool 25 years ago and we still go there for service. There are other pool options closer to our home but, in my opinion, they are clearly the best. Knowledgeable staff, all the best brands and fair prices.

I called because my liner was pulling out of the track and thought I needed a new liner. They asked me to send pictures so I did.They told me “we can fix that” and came two days later and all was well. Easily could have sold me a new liner. When I do need one, they earned my business!

By far they have THE BEST repair bench for miles and miles around. Always helpful, they have NEVER failed at a fix, even pre-assembling plumbing for me when they can, and taking the time to explain. Pool maintenance is simply expensive, and some component or another will break or wear out every summer. With Dunrite you can be sure you are buying an ACTUAL solution instead of somebodys best guess. I can not imagine operating my pool for the last 15 years without them
So my husband and I just came from Dunrite Pools in Bohemia. As we approached the entrance to the store we were happy to see that there was an extremely large sign stating that noone can enter the store without a mask. We entered and were directed towards the salesman,Dave, who was with a couple who were wearing masks, Dave had no mask. My husband informed Dave that he was immuno-compromised with a medical condition and I requested that Dave put on a mask. He went searcning in his desk for a mask and said Im not sure if I have one but finally found one and put it on. He invited us into his small office but we said we preferred to speak in the showroom ( since he had been in his office without a mask).As we were getting information about the pools, he pulled his mask down. I asked him to please put his mask back on. He said were 6 feet apart. My husband and I decided to leave. We informed the workers in the front of the store that we were leaving because Dave wouldnt keep his mask on while he was speaking with us and the woman who works there said He doesnt wear masks. The Dunrite website says that anyone entering the store needs to wear a mask but Dave, the salesman, does not comply. Even when told that a customer has a medical condition.

Ive tried calling 7 times. All 7 times, some guy picked up and was clearly having a conversation with someone else, and then decided to just hang up. 7 times in a row......SEVEN!.....If I can not even get a human to talk to me, how can I possibly give my business? I tried calling twice more, thinking there was a problem on their end of the line, but nope! Still 2 people talking followed by a click. Ill take my business somewhere else, thanks....

Been coming here and recommending it for 12 years even though its out of the way and I have to pass 2 other pool stores to get here. Always had good experiences in the past and consider it the best pool store around with knowledgeable staff behind the counter.But my Hayward superpump motor has been starting slow with a hum for the first 5 seconds before it actually starts turning, not an uncommon issue on a motor. The tech actually plugged it in heard the hum, cut away the top of the switch to get to the contacts so he could clean them, plugged it back in and it still did the same exact thing. Gave him a description of the problem a second time and he said he needs to rebuild the motor for $310.I went there thinking it could be the capacitor but surely the tech would know, he didnt even seem to entertain it. Called a motor shop on the way home, picked up a $15 capacitor, replaced it in 5 minutes and it works like new.I wouldnt call it a poor review but not the service i was used to here.

Extremely poor experience. Had liner installed last season as well as a new pump and cover with end of season closing. Liner was installed properly with no issues. Pump was poorly fitted in as it looks like a home owner could have done a better job. Pool cover was nicely installed. Pool was closed but all parts taken off were left around the yard as well as left behind tools. The techs left a note saying the broke something and will return next season to replace. With numerous calls and trying to reach out it took about a quarter of the way into the summer to hear back from anyone. Was told grids in the filter were shot and we had to go pick them up because the filter was back washed backwards. Will never recommend or use again. After spending close to $5000 you would think there would be any kind of consumer relation ship or a check in to come back and replace parts. Should have went with a better known company with slightly higher prices.

I had gone to several pool supplies to inquire about an issue I had with my pump and filter, altogether they estimated about $3k for repairs. I spoke with Andrew and Tom and explained the issue I was having, and they explained how to fix the issue. after all was set and done I ended up spending $120 and my pool is running perfectly fine. These two guys are an asset to the company and I will be a loyal customer going forward.Thank you guys for the honest response to my issue.

Great showroom, great selection, helpful staff. this group couldnt make purchasing a pool easier. The way they package things together and help you make a selection just makes the entire process enjoyable. I did talk to three other partners, each one I visited for almost 2 hours just to get a quote. This location I was in and out within 20 minutes with a full understanding of what I wanted my options and how much it will cost.because of the showroom the ease of purchase and the knowledgeable staff and the fact that this group installed a pool at my parents house almost forty years ago I went with them for the installation of an in-ground kidney-shaped pool. Cant recommend these guys enough they really did right by me and Ive been enjoying my new pool for the past month and a half. There were some bumps in the road but this team corrected quickly stood by their word and did a great job. A project of this size is never easy but these guys hung in there and did it right. If youre looking for a pool and youre looking to have it done right (😁) be sure to visit their showroom location in Bohemia and watch how easy it is.
Dunrite replaced my pool liner. The craftsmanship seemed quite good. The techs did leave some things laying on a table, so I thought they were coming back, but they were in fact done. Not ideal but okay.It turned out that they failed to cut the liner around one of the returns, so the pool was losing water. I diagnosed they problem myself, but they responded immediately and satisfactorily. Ken the owner stayed on my good side, and I will use Dunrite again. If you like the price Dunrite gives you, I recommend giving them a try.

Our main drain was removed, the liner installed and the debris and garbage cleaned up that day. They came back twice the next day to check the water level and cut out the skimmers. Came back the third day to put in the chemicals and start up the pool. Great job ! My family is extremely happy with the job they did!

We purchased a semi in ground pool from Dunrite this past spring. The pool, installation and customer service was outstanding! From the site survey to excavation to install they did not miss a beat.
Pool came out great. KEN, was very good and answered every phone call I had and was able to always fill me in with all the detailed questions I had. Only reason I leave a 3 star is because when project was done, there was a bunch of soil in the pool, which is obviously understandable. When they came to finalize the pool, get equipment running and all, I was told and also under a common sense impression that my pool was gonna be cleaned and be left ready to go.The people that came, who were also great btw. They said they dont clean that. The main drain was suppose to suck it all up. Which wasnt the case...Overall, great customer service. Efficient and quick work when building the pool.But its the details that will make a customer happy completely and thats why my 3 stars.
This spring we had an Inground pool installed by Dunrite. From the installation process to the service and assistance we have needed since then, they have been amazing and always willing to help. My husband works a lot of hours, so the maintenance of my pool has been my responsibility and every time I have called, Ken or Brett are so patient and walk me though what I need to do to fix the problem and never seem to be bothered to do so. We recently had a minor issue, they sent someone the next day to fix it. He saw a part needed to be ordered, it was a Friday so they said someone would be here Monday. Saturday morning, two guys came to my house and fixed it within minutes. I definitely suggest using Dunrite...I’m so glad that we did!
I am writing This review a year after I had my pool installed, Starting with the salesman Nick Fareone who was such a pleasure to deal with, and the friendly staff, These guys delivered as promised from the beginning to the very end. Very professional and solid install. Even after the owner which Im sorry I dont remember his name personally guided me over the phone with a couple of issues of running my new pump and filter due to it being my 1st time and forgetting what they explained to me lol. They will be servicing my pool for years to come. After researching and speaking to a few of the pool companies I felt the most comfortable and happy with the level of service and pricing they provided
We had an absolutely amazing experience with our pool install from the planning phase, permit, execution, finally the opening and passed town inpection. Their engineer Greg, did a perfect mark out and the excavation was flawless. The pool install was flawless as well and the crew was great.Ken always takes time to answer any questions you might have, and hes a busy man! Sandy, always responds to my emails and is also very helpful, all the time. Even when one of the other services cut the backwash drywell line, Dunrite reassured me it was not an issue and came and repaired it the next day.I would recommend them always! Dont believe the 2 negative reviews. Look at all the positive ones. The negatives are guaranteed to be some other company.A+++ service and knowledge!
Dunrite installed my liner a few years ago, very professional and courteous. This year I had problems clearing my cloudy water. Brought my water samples to Dunrite and they recommended a few chemicals (never did they try to oversell me on products) but nothing seemed to work. It turned out my sand filer was not working (cracked pipes inside). I ordered the parts from Dunrite and they were in the next day. They also fixed my multiport right there in front of me in a matter of minutes. I also changed the sand. One week later the pool was still cloudy, so I brought my water in again and the readings were perfect. The manager came out and went over my options. He sold me a bag of DE at his cost and this did trick. Dont waste your time at any of the large chain pool stores, if you want real professionals, always go to Dunrite.

Horrible in ground pool Install, stay clear.Skimmers at different heights, Liner wasnt remotely smooth from day one.Replaced first liner with major problem but charged me 1200 dollars to remove ground water . Second liner install not much better then first.Years later Recommended electronic pump, but put in wrong size.Now Spent 25k on a pool from them and need a leak fixed but they say they are booked for the season , have time to sell you a pool but not service it.

We were having our back yard renovated and the contractor ruined the top plate of our pool after getting six estimates from other pool companies all ridiculous prices I called dunrite after finding them on the internet and the person on the phone knew exactly what the contractor did and how to fix it. they came to my house a week later and replaced my liner w new extrusions at a great price.cant say enough good things about them...THANKS

A horrible experience right from the start.The salesman sounded professional when we first talked to him on the phone at 3 oclock he told us to come out that evening before 8 and we would be helped and if we put a deposit down and we would be all set to go to have our liner replaced. We drove there that at 5 in rush hour traffic and arrived at 6. We were told that all salesman leave at 4 and there was no one to help us nor answer our questions , but if we left a deposit they would call us back the next day. REALLY? this was so unprofessional, The salesman Dave, should have said he would only be there till 4 come the next day. So if it starts off unprofessional why would we trust them to do a professional job. Once we told others about this, they too said it was a very unprofessional place who had some of the worst salesman. DO NOT GO THERE ANYONE

We were recommended this company by a friend after having numerous problems with our initial opening getting the pool functioning. The company is extremely proffessional and polite. Showed on the appointment date. Fixed the pool. Were up and running now and I am finally going to be able to enjoy using it. Our pool system is extremely complicated with two gas heaters, 5 hayward pumps which operate polaris, water fountain jets, jacuzzi, etc. Thanks
