CLS we’re great. We inherited some beautiful and incredibly comfortable but v worn chairs and didn’t want to throw them. We wanted to take a chance with the fabric and Mike helped us source a fabric much more reasonable than the one we’d found and took us on the journey as they transformed and reworked the chairs. We love them and loved the whole experience!

We had our wing chairs reupholstered with CLS Custom Upholsterers & Furniture Refinishing. They were delivered today and they are beautiful! We could not be happier. The quality of the work is exceptional and the service was professional.

My experience with CLS was exceptional from start to finish. Mike helped me get started on my quest for the perfect fabric to recover my furniture. Tina and AnneMarie were always helpful and responsive along the way. It took me a while to find exactly what I was looking for and I found searching online to be more helpful than searching in the showroom. I ordered several samples and had them sent directly to my home so I could see the fabric in the correct light of the room. Once that was done, the pick up and delivery was seamless and a quick turn around. Their pick up and delivery teams were also professional and handled our furniture with care. The prices at CLS are a bit higher than other upholsterers but in this case, you get what you pay for as the craftsmanship is superior. I am extremely pleased with the results and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend CLS!

The very best on Long Island…Wish I could give this family owned business 10 stars! My recent experience with CLS Custom Upholstery was over the top excellent! They redid my tremendous Thomasville sectional as well as an oversized Thomasville chair and ottoman. To be perfectly honest, the craftsmanship of CLS Custom Upholstery puts Thomasville to shame! Ray Catalano came to my house in early May with tons of fabric samples based on the color scheme I told him I was changing to. Trust Ray, he has quite an eye for coordinating fabrics to your needs. He’s been in this business for many years. He is a people person! His expertise helped guide me to making the perfect choices for the couch, chair, and coordinating throw pillows. His men came 5 days later to carefully remove the furniture. In the interim we repainted and installed new carpeting. About 3 weeks later, the reupholstered work was complete and they delivered it back to my home and placed it exactly where I wanted it. I love, love, love it! My furniture is better than new! Their workmanship is truly top notch. Their communication with me was spot on. They are perfectionists, and it shows. There’s a solid reason they’ve been around so long, and it’s called QUALITY.Update: yet another beautiful job from CLS Custom Upholstery . This furniture was originally a cherry wood similar to the inside of the drawers. It was well worn and shabby looking from years of use. I wanted it darker and much of the redness diminished. The stain master Eddie G and I met and we decided on this color. I love the finished product. It looks exquisite, like brand new. Everyone at CLS were so professional,and, when I first and saw where the furniture restoration was done I could see how committed and proud of their work all the employees are. They should be. They made this lady very happy with their craftsmanship. Even the furniture movers treated my furniture like it was their own, and, were so careful moving it. I give this company 5 stars.

We contacted CLS as they are local. The lady who answered my inquires to the delivery men to the technician, we could not have been I better hands. As the saying goes...the service was perfect perfect from soup to nuts. Very skilled and professional. Our biggest problem was choosing what color and type of fabric for our chairs. We highly recommend these professionals.

I recently had a 30 year old sofa and love seat reupholstered. The furniture came out absolutely beautiful. The workmanship was excellent. Everyone at CLS was very professional and so helpful. Would highly recommend.

A very professional business. The work they do is amazing. We got a mini tour of the behind the scenes workmanship that goes into everything they repair or create. The custom repairs are mind blowing. It is definitely a lost art.I needed 6 chair seats to be recovered, the cost was more than the chairs so not worth it to me, but if I need an heirloom or cherished piece to be redone, I am definitely bringing it here.

My interaction with CLS to reupholster my sofa was A plus from beginning to end and I don’t say this lightly. The entire staff I dealt with were professional and responsive. The quality of the workmanship top notch. They promised to return my sofa in 14 days. They delivered it in 13 days (early delivery....unheard of!!). I recommend CLS very highly.

They restored my mom in laws two wing chairs to like new quality even though they are at 40 years old! I am very pleased with the out come. They will be a family treasure.

We had six dining room chairs refinished. They were sanded, re-stained, re-cushioned, new fabric for the seats and backs of the chairs. I can say that the work is beyond perfect. Was more expensive than others, but was well worth the cost. Pick up and delivery of items was super convenient. Had dining room chairs recaned and seats recovered, had an antique dresser and mirror refinished, had a 100 year old oak table repaired and refinished and had an antique living room chair repaired and reupholstered. Each project one year apart...kept going back. Very satisfied.

I replaced and covered seats for antique dining room chairs. CLS had a huge selection of fabrics and I was able to match almost exactly what my grandma originally had on the chairs. Love how they turned out!

Recently had a 45 year old coffee table and end table refinished, was a little shocked with the estimate but boy was I happy with the finished product. They were beautiful. We have used CLS many times. We had them rehab old wicker furniture which was in horrible shape. All of the pieces came out like new. We have also had them make new seat cushions for our outdoor furniture. The cushions fit perfectly and look great. The quality of their work is amazing, and they are always extremely courteous. I highly recommend this company. They do great work, and they treat their customers well.

I had a very complex sofa rebuilt from the ground up by CLS. They are fabulous. I couldnt be more pleased. Sofa looks perfect and feels terrific. Great work, worth it!

I can’t say enough about the service and workmanship CLS provided in reupholstering two 25 year old 98” Key City camelback sofas. After spending time in the showroom selecting fabric samples, Mike Catalano (3rd generation) brought them and other samples to our house for a consultation. While not the lowest estimate we received, the depth of knowledge and understanding of the business he displayed convinced us to use their services. We were not disappointed. Our sofas returned after 4 weeks in better condition than when they were new! Springs and cushions were firm and tight. Upholstery work was very detailed, down to the pleating and welting just like the original. Exposed wood was sanded and restained. Plus we unexpectedly got 4 matching pillows. Overall, a very high quality job and we’re extremely happy with the finished product.

We have had three major upholstery projects done by the Catalano family in the past fifteen years. Their work, attention to detail, and professionalism are the reasons we return to them every time. We loved our 23 year old Ikea couch but the fabric had become worn out and torn.I contacted CLS and an appointment was set.On the appointed day, Ray arrived promptly. He was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He assessed my couch and showed me some fabrics that would complement my furnishings.My couch was taken away, then returned about 5 weeks later, looking as though it came from a luxurious furniture store.Ray and the crew at CLS did a magnificent job!My couch is now the most comfortable centerpiece in my living room. Two wooden antique chairs were also reglued and polished up and look stunning!

I will never do business or recommend this company again. Several years back we had a very good experience, and had a very expensive job done. We recommended friends after that. We recently called back for additional work and had a horrible experience. An employee named Marissa has no concept of customer service whatsoever. She is both rude and condescending - and for no good reason other than her apparent dislike for work. The owner is living in the past and refuses to understand how people want to do business today. Not only is this a dying industry in todays world, but this company must be on its way down.

CLS are excellent people to work with, especially Pat the owner & Marisa, their interior designer!
