Small little bike shop in a strip mall conveniently located in east Boca Raton. The fella in the shop is very nice and helpful. I’ve only gone in for parts and they always have what I need...I’ve purchased parts for one of my vintage bicycles. The place has been there for many years...maybe 20+ years.... a year old school bike shop.

I have been a customer of Tropic Bikes for many years. David is totally committed to customer satisfaction --- cheaper and better than anyone else in the area. Unlike the corporate mega bikes stores in the Boca Raton area, Tropic Bikes has that Local Bike Shop atmosphere at cost effective pricing. David is a true mechanic who will repair and adjust your bike...not just replace parts because it is easier. Even if just changing a tube, David will often do a quick check over and minor adjustments of the rest of your bike for free. And, when others they wont, he can (and will), fix your bike.

Im really bad at maintaining my bicycle. It needed a tune up badly (derailer adjustment, broken spokes, etc.). David was quick and affordable, very affable guy. Got the bike back and went out for a spin Saturday. Smooth riding, easy shifting. When it comes time for an upgrade, I will be buying my next Bicycle at Tropic Bike.

Mr David is a genuine fair hard working man. Helped me out set up my bike and pointed out how to improve it. Saved me a lot of time and money. Will definitely recommend him. To new riders like myself and experienced ones aswelll. Thanks for the patience and great work Mr David.

My buddy and I stopped by to see about problems with the height of our handlebars and seats. Dave stopped what he was doing and came out and in 5 minutes solved our problems and refused to accept payment for his services. He is knowledgeable and most importantly, genuine, honest and fair so to the reviewer who faulted him for doing a repair that the reviewer could have done himself I say, Why didnt you take the time to do your homework prior to visiting him and do the repair yourself?. Dont fault the man for making a living hes entitled to because you couldnt be bothered to do your research ahead of time and do the repair on your own. Nothing like a Monday morning quarterback! We will be taking our bikes to Dave in the future and highly recommend him!

Ive been going to tropic bike for over10 years for various repairs and parts. Today I came in with a serious front derailleur problem with a very long commute from the shop to get home.I went to the counter with my bike as he was working on another on the stand and told him what my problem was. He stopped almost immediately and took a look at my bike and then fixed the problem within 7 minutes.Dave is a true mechanic and a true gentleman! I absolutely love this bike shop!

While searching for a few parts, I ran into this little place and boy was I happy to have found it. I know what I am looking for but I am not familiar with part names, so the guy took the time to figure out what it was I was talking about and got me what I needed. Excellent service and very reasonable prices.

Awesome, quick service. They take good care of my bike, and have fair prices. I also just got my 2yr old a small bike from Target, for Christmas (Tropic Bike doesnt sell bikes that small) and I will drop it off to them in the box, and they will assemble it for me. Target and Toys-R-Us will assemble the bikes too, but they dont do a very good job and I wont trust my 2 year olds bike anyone but Tropic Bike.

Im a paraplegic and Dave I think thats his name came out to my car and changed my tires on my wheelchair. He charged me nothing. Now thats on heard of but its true. I will always go back to him but next time Iwill not have him work on my wheels for free. Hes really a good man. Go to Tropic Bike when you need something. You will not regret it.

Had my bike tuned up today, got charged a reasonable amount, and got great service.

Dealt with David (owner) and we agreed on a price for mi bike as a store credit for me to buy one of his bikes. After some back and forth he procrastinated to place the order, did not assemble my new bike in time and last minute changed the price he offered for my bike to almost half of what we had agreed. A simple no at the beginning of the conversation would have been fine and I wouldnt have wasted so much time with him. I am very pro local and small businesses but this one was a huge disappointment. Never again!!!

Way to expensive for labor. Paid $8 for a tube I usually get for $5 and $10 for labor to change the tube which took him 2 minutes and I could of done myself waited till after the fact to tell me. Won’t return

David has been in the business for many years and his historical knowledge of bicycles is comparable to the famous Sheldon Brown.The shop caters to the full spectrum of riders, and you will find every thing from Trikes, to Cruisers, to BMX, to Racing bikes. The shop is cozy, well organized and inexpensive. When you visit you will meet customers who range from families who like to ride on weekends, all the way up to cyclists riding carbon fiber fames and wheels.I highly recommend Tropic Bike to everyone who likes to ride bicycles.

My son has a racing bmx bike that needs constant tune-ups. they do as good a tune up as the bmx-specific bike mechanics at the state races.Prices are almost more than reasonable. Very satisfied.

Great help with recurring problem with broken tubes I couldnt figure out. Turned out there was a piece of small wire sticking out from the bead of my tire that kept puncturing small holes in my tubes. Thanks!
