Garbage products. Dont bother. Especially stay away from their sensitive skin shaving cream. A hotel bar of soap works infinitely better than this garbage. It doesnt lather and it sure as heck did not protect my skin.

Zeke trimmed down and shaped my beard making it look very sharp! Chatted a bit and asked questions regularly to make sure I was happy with its appearance; also gave advice on how to maintain it as well. The shop sells everything from Razors, oils, Combs and more if you need anything. Convenient beard trimming if youre staying at either of the hotels connected to MoA, live in the Twin Cities, or its only a short train ride South to the mall if youre on an extended layover at the airport.

Was at the Mall of America on vacation over labour day weekend. My brother in law suggested we go for a professional shave. So I figured I would join. The guys here were fantastic. The sales associate was super friendly and willing to answer any and all questions. The barber was also great. Good conversation, made me feel very comfortable. And the shave itself was great. I will definitely be back next time I am in town.

Scheduled a hair cut and beard sculpt 5 days in advance for 5:45pm. An employee from the shop called me the morning of my scheduled appointment claiming that the barber cleans his space and leaves at 6:30pm so they could only do one of the two scheduled services. They then called me back five minutes later saying they had second barber that could do both at the regular scheduled time. That afternoon a different employee from the shop called me back again and said the barber now went home sick for the day. I refuse to be lied to and treated poorly especially when these services are heavily overpriced. Will happily pay a locally owned barber from here on that’s half the price.

Zeke hands down gave me the best barber experience. Super friendly and I felt confident that the guy can cut some wicked hair. I 100% recommend this guy for your next cut! Also his straight razor skills are impeccable! I’d drive 8 hours again from Williston North Dakota to get another hair cut by the guy! Also there products are cool too but what it made it for me was the barber.

I was curious to try this place, as I saw it in the mall and my beard was getting long from the winter. I never had a professional beard trim prior to this experience and I am so happy I went here! My barber Johnathan is a true expert and extremely professional. He had my at ease the whole time. Prior to coming here, I did not always wear a beard, but now that I know what a beard is capable of looking like, I am tempted to keep one all the time! I have also received many compliments on my new look. At $50, the service is on the pricey side, but for those looking to spoil themselves and really elevate their look will be very satisfied!

Barber and Beard sculpting professional Johnathan McCastle is absolutely amazing. I visit quarterly for a royal shave. As a proudly beaded man, this boils down to a facial treatment to help exfoliate under the beard (stopping beard itch) trimming the majestic mane and straight razoring the rest. Johnathan is truly great, I will be going to see him for years to come!!

I loved this place!Went here first time not knowing how to properly maintain a beard and the guy there was very kind and explained how everything worked with in great detail. I didnt buy anything though because I thought the oil they were trying to sell me was a little too pricey and I was right. The second time I went here the place hadnt changed much and the staff was still as friendly and helpful as ever. Stuff was still overpriced but a lot of what they have, I wasnt able to get anywhere else. I do recommend this place especially if you are looking to up your beard game and need some advice or are looking for something you didnt know you needed and now cant live without.

My wonderful and amazing girlfriend booked me for an appt today for my birthday and all I can say is it was fantastic. My master barber Jonathan McCastle was so friendly and wanted to make sure my experience was the best ever. He really took his time with my beard and haircut. The hot towels were also a nice touch as well, as they were a great way to help relax me. Im not sure of the products he used, but they were great. Not only was Jonathan friendly, but he was also professional and talkative as well. This was a great experience and I would recommend this location and Jonathan to anyone here or from out of town.

Cute store. Prices are 50% higher in store than online. Bought a beard oil and dry oil in the store for $60 found the same online for $40. I won’t go back.

My husband got a beard trim and haircut and I have nothing but good things to say about the barber!! Very professional, funny and made his first experience amazing!! It is a lost art and would have him go back again and again!!

Great service, great people. With regards to complaints here about pricing: certainly you get what you pay for. Ive been going to Jonathan for a year now and the guy is a master of his craft. If youre looking for a haircut, shave, grooming products, or all of the above, this is a must-visit at MOA.

I came to learn more about The Art of Shaving 3 years ago.Since then I have been using its wonderful products and only these products.

Worst customer service. Upon calling the phone always goes to voicemail hence unable to book reservation. When you go to the store they say barbar isnt available. Horrible!

First things first...the shave, was good. Closest shave Ive ever had and the barber was very detailed. Thats the good part.Unfortunately, for all the rest of the following reasons, I wont be coming back:1. The barbers chair is in its own room, which is great...perceived privacy, right? Wrong. Its loud, too bright (fluorescent lights shining in your eyes) and cold.2. The barbers breath was good -- but thats because she was chewing gum the entire time. There is very little I despise more than hearing the sound of someone chewing gum...within inches of my ear no-less.3. I called to make an appointment...went to voicemail (it happens, I understand). The kind lady called back and listed off several options - and I jumped on the first option - which was 10 minutes from NOW. I work very close, so I hustled out and walked into the door EXACTLY at 11:45 (Im a stickler for timeliness). I was immediately acknowledged...and then sat there for 15 minutes. Now...what happened between the time I was called...and the time I arrived...that caused a 15 minute delay? Didnt they KNOW somebody was already in the chair at that time? Very disappointing.4. The barber (a female) had longer nails. Very styling, yes. But as she was delicately manipulating my nose away so as to shave my mustache, I kept feeling her nails against my nose. They werent cutting...but it was the only thing I could think of during the entire time she was touching my face.5. The chair you sit in is fairly comfortable...to SIT in. Unfortunately, most of the shave is completed in a slightly reclined position. The seatback leans back..but the arms do not. So your arms continue to rest on the armrests, which are no longer conveniently located and, therefore, uncomfortable. At first, I didnt even notice...but after 30 mins of listening to the noisy mall, freezing my butt off, listening to smacking gum...well, the armrests were the last straw...As I said to being with...if youre looking for a close shave, this was VERY good, no nicks, minor neck redness (which always happens to me)...If youre looking to be pampered and comfortable throughout - this isnt the place.

Ive gotten a handful of Royal Shaves and haircuts over the years and each time I had an excellent experience.I have had to wait around a couple times and it is kind of weird to be getting a shave and/or haircut and glance across the room and an entire group of travelers are just staring at you through the glass, but the service has always been top notch.

Very bad experience and not profeshional staff , went to shop and took an appointment and i came on time for my service and the barber wasnt their i told them to cancel my appointment and they were ok with , really bad experience not close to their chicago branch which is super great

Bought the only moustache wax they carry for $25 and was told by the guy working to use it sparingly since it was so amazing and has a strong hold. The first time I used it, sparingly wouldnt even hold a curl for 20 seconds. I tried using it on many other occasions and applying more liberal amounts and still my mustache looks pretty sad and droopy after a couple minutes and forget even trying to use it when its warm out. I tried calling the store and after getting the big spiel on how their moustache wax is imported from Hungary and blah blah he told me I need to use multiple layers. So in other words I guess you need to use a quarter of the 16ml jar for your mustache to stay. I wont be returning. Do your research and save money shop elsewhere.

Made a reservation two months in advance while planning a trip to the mall from a different state. Arrived at the store and they didnt have the reservation. They also did not attempt to make another reservation. Very poor customer service. I will not be going back.

My shave was horrible. My face has never been this irritated. Definately not worth what they are charging.

Ive been looking for a beard care store for quite a while and figured id stop in here while i was at the mall. I read the reviews saying that its a shaving store and they wont help you with beard care but that is a down right lie.I didnt get the name of the gentleman who helped me but he was extremely knowladgable, i let him know i have no idea what product i need but i know what i want my desired result to be. He took a look at my beard and made recomendations specifically for my hair and thoughorly explained the difference between them. I was interested in the $60 beard brush and some wax after what i heard, but based on my hair type he suggested i would be better off with a natural comb instead which was only $40. To me that says that they care more about having a satisfied cutomer than about shaking all of the money out of your pockets. I absolutly recommend this place to anyone, my girlfriend is a cosmotologist and see products all day but even she was interested in some of what they had.
