Its a very quiet and comfortable spot to sit down and enjoy your meal. The server was extra nice but of course you have to be because they work on tips but overall, its a nice place. Food is very cheap and cooked to standards, in other words, its GOOD! Thank You for the great hospitality and service.

Perfect spot to go to. Found this place by accident. Attempted to go to the breakfast chain around the corner but they had a 45 min wait. Drove around and came across this lil gem with no wait. Food was Quick, hot and taste great! The waitress Betsy I think her name was Is really nice. Would definitely recommend this spot.

Its so good to see a diner on the border of Bloomfield and East Orange thriving. The food is delicious, well-priced, and delivered quickly to your table. There arent many parking spaces in their lot, but if theres no parking there, just go to the Dunkin Donuts lot - just a stones throw away and walk over! Itll be worth the very short walk!
Great place. Varied menu. Betty and other wait staff are very nice and accommodating. I am a pancake connoisseur and theirs are the best!! Tender and delicious. The prices are great and more reasonable than IHOP or State street.
There was dead flys & bees on the windowsill. Dead Bees! When was the last time anyone saw a bee in the winter? Smdh. Waitress didnt wear gloves & was handling money & food back to back. Disgusting!!!

When we arrived the place was empty. Looking at the reviews we decided to try it. The food was great, the service was great. It is what you expect from a diner. Erika our server was very nice and compassionate when my daughter was carsick. She really tried to get her to feel better, she offered crackers and more. When we left our icepack she brought it out to the car. I recommend this place highly. Thanks Erika!!

Ordered on doordash for breakfast...The eggs were fine, but the bacon tasted pre-cooked. The Waffles tasted sour...and the steak tasted like a shoe....a patent leather shoe. Or maybe a real leather shoe.No...it was more like two shoes.I ordered it medium-well, and they gave it to me double-dead well done. As if the cow wasn’t dead enough for them.It’s really a shame Mcdonalds got rid of their steak bagel cause i would have never looked this way for steak if they hadnt...
I went today I had a delicious Philly cheese steak wrap. The place is very nice and cozy. The waitress I had today was pretty new. She was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely go back😉😋

Visited the dinner for the first time today for lunch with a friend. I ordered the Grilled Chicken with Caesar Salad, which was very good. An extremely large salad with homemade Caesar dressing with a very generous amount of nicely seasoned, grilled chicken, served on the salad. The pieces of chicken breast were numerous, and large in size. The chicken was hot and flavorful. I enjoyed the dinner, it was cute and quiet. It was easy to have a conversation at lunch. I would visit again and I would order the Caesar Salad with Chicken again.
The food is so good here and the employees really try there best to give exceptional service. The cook is a real chief as well very good all around. The coffee is also very good as well

Small, charming and intimate diner on the corner of Glenwood and Lackawanna. Its a very hometown feel which isnt common these days. When I was there, all the customers were watching and commenting on the morning news story and knew each other. I had weird and bad experience at that diner pretty much. For reference i am asian, part time uber driver and US Army vet.I was sitting and waiting for my food, but they kicked me out. They gave me to-go box and changed my coke to a convenience cup. Even they requested me a tip...i refused to give a tip and they told nasty behind me...i felt very bad and write this fact in public...very sorry to say this bad experience...and i will not stop over there any matter happens...

The food was not cooked well, pancakes not cooked to a toasted brown, bacon omelette was just grease (alot). Bacon was not cooked well with omelette, also it was not salted, we were left without coffee until we had to ask for it. I dont know about you but isnt there usual times where someone will go around and ask if you need anything or more coffee? No butter was served and we had to ask for maple syrup, and it had a hair on the tip of the maple syrup bottle. Before the food was okay but today was not at its best. If you want a good dining experience I would recommend Livingston Diner.

Went for breakfast it was delicious. Also went back for the lunch special worst mistake ever. Chicken was raw. Soup was horrible and the rest of the food was soggy too much gravy. Reached out to the manager but hes never there. I will return raw food for a refund and will never eat lunch there again. The breakfast is worth it lunch👎👎👎.

The waitress waiting on my son and me was not welcoming, courteous, nor friendly. The waitress never gave us the customary friendly and welcoming smile while she indelicately handed us menus. When the food was brought to the table, the courteous and customary gesture of saying enjoy your food was never mentioned. Moreover, while my son and I were eating the food, the waitress come to my table twice to remove the condiments from our table, never asking for permission, to apparently give them to other customers. The waitress never asked us how the food was that we were served. I cant say the food was not good because it is the reason why I came back to the place. In other words, the food is quite delicious. If it wasnt for the waitress and her lack of professionlism as a waitress, Id go back.

The neighborhood is changing and dinners in the area like Topps keeps people running back. This place is in a gold mine location . . Fix it and get that money!

The watresses Ive had here are very friendly. There are clearly old-time customers who have been coming in for a long time, and the waitresses know and chat with them, so the vibe here is convivial.The food is a step above awful, however. Its so bland as to have almost zero taste, which I found on my first visit (a year ago), and why I hadnt been back. But I asked my GPS for suggestions and this place came up, so I decided to try it again.I had the meal with soup, salad and entree. The entree I chose was tilapia over linguine with scampi sauce (butter, garlic and lemon) and it had a slightly unappetizing aroma and look when it came out. The color of the sauce was off - almost greenish, but not quite. I ate some of it, but the garlic seemed off, too. Very bitter and with a hint of being rancid, maybe? I am not sure. It was edible, but just barely, and I ate a little over half (I was hungry), then left the rest.The split-pea soup - nearly flavorless. I had to pepper and salt it heavily so it had some taste. Even the croutons were bland. Not toasted thoroughly and got mushy as they say on the soup. Even the salad, chopped iceburg lettuce, tomato and cucumber, was very wet and the Russian dressing didnt cling to the salad but instead slid off into a watery dressing pool at the bottom of the bowl. I ate all the tomatoes and cucumbets but left a lot of the lettuce in the bowl. Corn on the cob was o.k., but the corn was not particularly tasty and they should probably have waited to serve corn on the cob when fresh corn was in season.I was offered dessert and chose the rice pudding with whipped cream. The waitress told me it had just been made and was good. Sadly, no taste, and many of the rice kernals were a bit hard. I didnt finish the pudding, just the whipped cream.The waitress refilled my drink w/out asking and was extremely pleasant, both to me and the other diners. I could not help but notice that at 5:00 p.m. there were only 4-5 tables seated the whole time I was there, and abundant parking in the lot.I feel like the waitresses do the heavy lifting here because the food is so underwhelming. I only gave it 3 stars because the waitresses both times have been so nice. Perhaps they need Gordon Ramsey to revamp the menu and the chef?
