Matt, I have been waiting for over a month for a reply from Ferrara’s. I’ve emailed you, called your shop countless times and also stopped by Ferrara’s several in an effort for you to make good on your shop’s service warranty. This will be the fourth time for me returning to Ferrara’s for the same transmission problem. Your shop has already charged me twice for the same service! My car is currently at your shop after picking up on Friday 9/4/2020, I had to pay out of pocket for a $200 tow today 9/6/2020, as my transmission seized working in the middle of a busy highway on Rt. 3 west on the way to work. Dropping off the my car to Ferrara’s this morning to a sign that reads “on vacation till 9/13” was such a disappointment. YOU HAVE BEEN ON VACATION FOR OVER A MONTH!!! I need my car fixed as soon as possible. Since dealing with Ferrara’s, I have been losing money (tow fee, missed time at work and cost of repair). Is anyone in Ferrara’s capable of fixing my transmission, because four times within 6 months are not good odds. Again I need my car back this week, stop dodging responsibilities and get back to work!

Im trying to hold my tongue on writing a review about this company.. just know they have had my truck for a week now, and their telling me it may be another week... i will pause here because they still have my vehicle.. stay tuned i definitely will be back with my take and the service applied to a paying customer

Took the time to explain to me in detail about the transmission and how it works. Super polite and took a look free of charge. Im confident that when the time comes this shop will do an amazing job. You understand that if you care for the customer the customer will care back, and for that you will have my business in due time.

Don’t use them very unprofessional if you ask how your being charged they will hang up. Don’t waste your time with them go to someone who isn’t shady

Both Matt and Mike are extremely helpful. The knowledge provided to help me understand the issues with my car allowed me to make a well educated decision on the best route to take. This establishment is friendly, professional, and highly recommended! Family owned and operated for 3 generations speaks volumes!

My brother can fix ANYTHING he even built a garage on his property with a lift...so when he cant fix it he brings it to Matt from LONG VALLEY!!! So my sons Kia had a bad Trans, Matt quickly diagnosed the problem and had it fixed within a week. The cost was about what I thought and he stands by his work. I had my toy car have a manual trans issue this past weekend and had to pull over in Monmouth county...I had it towed to Matt even when there was another two transmission places local to when the car broke down. If you get sick you go to the best doctor, well my car does too.

Avoid avoid avoid!!! The worst place on earth. Sloppy job, slow, unprofessional and overpriced.Got charged $830 for an exhaust leak, dropped car on Monday, got a phone call on Tuesday with estimate and was told car will be ready by Wednesday afternoon. I got no phone calls so decided to approach the repair shop by 5 pm on Wednesday. Car was elevated but no one working on it, Matt told me he won’t leave until job is done, I stuck around for 2 hours and he didn’t touch the car for over an hour, later once job was “done” by 7 pm, the check engine light came on.One of his helpers connected a code reader and drove the car 1/2 a block and told me it’s ready. I turned on the car and the check engine light was still on. Matt told me to bring my car back next morning, did so, after making me wait for over 1 hour without touching my car and after checking my car for just 5 minutes Matt came up with some BS that the car needs a new sensor and it’s gonna be “labor free” but there’s a charge of $140 for the sensor. The check engine light was not on when I dropped the car so to me this place it’s just a scam and they’re looking to squeeze you as much as they can.Taking my car to another shop to make sure they haven’t sabotaged anything else in my car. This place should get 0 stars!An hour after I wrote this review, Matt called back saying that while talking to his “guys” they told him they had to remove the sensor because it was “stuck” and he offered to reinstall the sensor free of charge. This is all BS and lies, this unprofessional mechanics pretended they were trying to fix the check engine light twice, the day they returned my car and the day after, they knew all along what they had done and just wanted to rip me off more like I sh*t money. No efn way these people are touching my car again!!!

Hands down the best service and nicest people I’ve ever dealt with! The dealer wanted around $4000 and needed my car for over a week to fix. I am so glad to have found Ferraras as they did the job for $1800 with a full guarantee and had my car back to me in 2 days! I was very happy with the work and trust them to get the job done at a fair price!

I have had 3 of my transmissions rebuilt here, and Mike & Matt was very fair, informative and got the job done in a very timely matter! The one truck they did about 11 years ago, only had 77,000 miles on it, today it has 268,000 miles and still going strong!

This place is a scam!! The guy Matt was extremely nice initially when I explained the issue I needed him to check out. Hince, the one star. He said he would call with an estimate. I told him i had to work but if he called I would come back. He gave me an estimate of 5-6 HUNDRED dollars, which sounded way too much. Since I was going on vacation later that week i told him I would bring it back once I returned. His demeanor immediately changed to rude and annoyed that I was not getting my car serviced that day ! I told him I would pick up the car shortly. He said “please do it sooner rather than later, because I could really use the space.” The area is pretty residential and since it was during the day, there were PLENTY of spaces to park the car on the street. When I arrived, the car was parked in the FREE lot across the street which further solidified that he was just being a jerk. To make matters worse, when I returned from vacation I took my car to my normal mechanic and the work needed on my car amounted to $340 TOTAL! This place clearly tried to get me to immediately overspend. It sucks because I’m newer in the neighborhood and have an older luxury car so he could have gained a loyal customer. Now, I will continue to drive 25 mins to my normal mechanic instead. DO NOT TRUST THIS SERVICE!!

I brought my truck in because I felt my car starting to lose power. Matt ended up diagnosing my truck with a bad fuel pump and some trans. issue.Ii have Auto source used car insuranceand they were giving me the run around.Matt spoke to them and got them to approve my claim initially. Which wasnt an easy task. The claims department declined it in the end but because of Matts customer service and going above and beyond to try and get my claim approved I will recommend this company and Matt to anyone that has a car. I wish i could give 15 stars
