BUYER BEWAREBought a used Subaru advertised as freshly serviced and needing nothing with no surprises. I figured that a dealer with a reputation to maintain would be truthful to their word, but I could not have been more wrong. Got less than 100 miles down the road before the check engine, amongst several other lights, came on. I contacted Aaron about the occurrence and he said it was just the timing chain, which he offered to fix. Having already lost all of my trust I took the car to another mechanic and find out the car is going to need an entirely new electrical system, along with repairs to numerous other flaws with the vehicle that elude to it being a deliberately covered up flood car, i.e. Aaron had all the check engine light turned off in order to sell. I waited for the title to come in the mail to write this review to ensure that he actually did sell me a clean title car, which it did end up being. However, I learned the hard way about the numerous loopholes that people like Aaron can exploit to turn salvaged title cars (flood car for example) and clean the title to sell in Minnesota. When you buy from Dixon Auto Sales youre taking a very large gamble. His word means next to nothing.Edit: Aaron contacted me regarding my review inquiring about the car. When discussing exactly what my trusted mechanic said about the car, he dismissed it as speculation and opinion over and over again, talking down on me about being uneducated about the topic. When I clearly explained the loophole I mentioned above, backed by sources, he ignored the topic and went back to my mechanics diagnosis saying Who knows how long or little it will last. before he stopped responding to my texts.Do with this information what you will. If you are somebody who is looking for honesty and respect, I would consider spending my money elsewhere.

They do not service and inspect cars as they advertise . My wife bought a 2008 Volvo advertised with their boiler plate add (needs nothing, no problems here, freshly serviced and inspected). The oil light came on on the way home. the car could not have been serviced because it was nearly out of oil. We have diagnostics from 3 shops. We will be spending north of $6000.00 to fix the motor. Dixon made the upfront claims of service, ect. but accept no responsibility for massive problem we are stuck with. BE AWARE THAT IF YOU BUY A CAR FROM THEM, REGARDLESS OF THEIR ADVERTISING CLAIMS, IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, THEY WILL NOT STEP UP. They cast a shadow on car dealers that actually have a sense of ethics..

Great experience. Aaron and Steve really know their Subaru’s and were very helpful, and made sure that the Outback was running great. Highly recommend.

Great price on a nice Subaru. Had an issue with the car 3 weeks into the purchase. Contacted Dixon Auto and they rectified the issue free of charge even though they had no obligation to do so. They even provided us a loaner while they fixed up the Subaru! Great experience with Aaron. Well be back for our next purchase.

Dishonorable, BUYER BEWARE!As is isnt a license to rip you off on a used car. Aaron sold my wife a faulty Subaru outback and the check engine light was on the next day. We had asked about a sound in the engine but he brushed it off and reassured us it was nothing. We were shocked to hear from our mechanic that a new engine is needed. Clearly, they knew about the engine issue and lied about it. They likely tampered with sensors to suppress the check engine trigger. We should have had the car inspected by a third party and would not recommend buying from Dixon Auto.

Poor service. Aaron was pretty rude to us when we went look at a Subaru (showed up late, barely introduced himself, etc). The car itself was pretty banged up, and there was a receipt for new front/rear bumpers in the glove box. We brought this up to Aaron and he tried to deny they had the work done when the receipt for the work literally had “Dixon Auto Sales” stamped on it. Aaron later messaged my wife apologizing for treating us badly- but we honestly just found it disingenuous and weird. His father was a nice guy however (my guess is he probably told Aaron he was rude and made him text us after we left). Just overall a poor experience and we will not be visiting again.

We have purchased two Outbacks from Dixon Auto Sales, both for kid in college. Unfortunately the first one was totaled by large WI deer a few weeks after purchase and we did not hesitate to go back. After a lot of searching and comparison I feel like we got a good deal on both cars and Aaron was great to work with, Highly recommend.

Interested in purchasing a car from this character and got stood up after driving 70 miles. Long story short is how could a man like this be trusted.

Had a few back and forth with Aaron, inquiring about a car. Asking pretty normal questions that you would ask about the cars maintenance, and prior history, he repeatedly told me I have multiple cars I couldnt possibly know the answer to that question(s), he was rude, evasive, and disingenuous. Believe the other questionable reviews you read on his review page. Taking my business elsewhere.

I bought a vehicle on July 14th. I had been waiting years to finally purchase my first Subaru and Dixon Auto Sales was where I found ‘the one’. It was a regular purchase at a regular price. Fast forward to October 14th when I received a letter from the state letting me know that my vehicle had been deemed Salvaged. It hadn’t even passed inspection yet, so I have been technically driving this car on the roads illegally. I notified Aaron Dixon immediately upon receiving the letter and he made it seem like it was an error. He told me he’d look into it. After a month of waiting and multiple times checking in with HIM and not receiving any update, I called the state myself to try and get some answers. In 1 phone call I was able to determine that it is in fact salvaged, when it was deemed salvaged and by whom. On November 16th, I sent an official email to Aaron seeking resolution. I also submitted a complaint to the MN Attorney General, that letter is dated December 1st. To date, I have still received no communication and no resolution on this matter. I would have never purchased the vehicle had I known it was salvaged. I want the car gone and my money back. I will take my business else where from here on out.***EDIT***As of 1/27/21, the car has been purchased back from the dealer. Although I am pleased with the resolution, I am however displeased with unknowingly purchasing a salvaged vehicle that they claimed they knew nothing about as well as the length of time it took to get to this point. Had the situation been taken seriously from when I reported it to the dealer back in October, this couldve been resolved much quicker. I hope this experience will provide some assistance for Dixion Auto sales and his future business transactions. Changed my 1 star to 3.
