I just want to say i am very pleased with the store and exspecilly with Kevin Siegel i was in the store yedterday because unfortunately i got scammed by a on line purchase i made and i couldnt really get any help from my local post office ut they sent me to the ups store in blacksburg Va and thats were Kevin stepped in and when he seen exactly what was going on and happend he gave me a full refund on the purchase that i had got scammed by he was very professional and sympathetic to my situation and went above and beyond to help me i really give this store and Kevin Siegel 5 stars and i recommend this store to everyone i know for now on i will be getting all my packages through them. I went home for Thanksgiving break, and I had an expensive package arrive at my apartment while I was gone. I called this UPS location and asked if they could possibly pick it up for me and store it in the store. Kevin, the co-owner of the store picked up my package HIMSELF and kept me updated during the entire process. I have since picked up the package and they didnt charge me at all. I was amazed by the level of service. Thank you again, Kevin.

Terrible service. Each time I have went my total price has increased (I do the same exact process, so prices shouldnt fluctuate)They dont correct the price when you question it.Also the employees are sarcastic and rude.Worst date of service: 6/29/20 @4:20-4:45.One (male) employee there in particular makes immature jokes in front of customers.Another employee (female) has no personality and doesnt listen to what you say, shell talk right over you but with a smile to shut you up, which is more aggravating. She caused an avoidable delay in my shipment but not listening to my instructions.There is bad customer service everywhere you go now. Having all bad employees is a representation of the owner.

I will NEVER ship UPS again because of this store. The product I shipped was completely crushed so I made a claim through corporate who then said to contact the store I shipped from for reimbursement, etc. When I called to tell the store about my claim, the manager, Kevin, talked down to me and said that if it wasnt packaged by them then its not their responsibility (which is a lie). I could tell he had no intentions of ever resolving the situation even though I hadn’t told him the details nor had he seen the photos of evidence . He then avoided my phone calls for the next 2 months after our initial talk ( though it was supposed to take 1-2 business days). After leaving numerous messages at the store and speaking with pretty much every division of the Corporate offices, I was finally able to get Kevin to call me back after I had their corporate office contact him. Once again, He was extremely rude and didnt care that they ruined an irreplaceable product that was so sentimental to my client . In fact, he didnt understand why it was their fault. which is a lie and he knows the liability belongs to the location of departure. It cost me $140 to ship a irreplaceable product that I personally packaged in a heavy duty reinforced box and when it got to its destination it looked like it was thrown out of a hot air balloon. Kevin had no intentions of ever resolving the issue. He just kept ignoring me and was too busy to take my calls. Now at 3 months later, I made a official complaint with the HQ and that got him to answer my phone call. he said corporate office just so happened sent him a letter in the mail explaining why they wont be reimbursed and that hell send me the letter if I dont believe him. Which he lied about because corporate office told me it was his responsibility to resolve the situation and make the reimbursement. so I called his bluff on the fake letter and told him to send the letter to me and he responded by saying ya know I’m busy. I have customers waiting on me. click. and hung up on me. Someone like this should never be allowed to work in customer service let alone manage a business. Congratulations Kevin, youve earned my first ever 1 star review. But hey, At least you got away with screwing over a customer.

The store owners, only after a VERY extensive follow up, admitted negligence on a time definite service. They tendered the parcel to the carrier with inaccurate and incomplete documentation. By tendering the parcel to UPS they certified that the documentation was complete, true, and correct - it was not. Of the various international shipment requirements, they only included a commercial invoice - which did not have a complete and proper description, and they classified the high dollar shipment of Personal Effects inaccurately as Gift. They were seemingly unaware of the UPS “Commodity Specific Stipulations” regarding Personal Effects.At no point during the shipment did they update the carrier, UPS, with the required correct information or any further documents. During shipment the carrier requested missing documentation and they neglected to send the required materials or correct the errors. The next-day delivery window was missed by over a week due to the delays, and the parcel was forced to be returned roughly three weeks later.The store then denied any wrongdoing and repeatedly told me they had included all the required documentation. They denied a refund and held me responsible for the additional cost of having the package returned. For more than two months I combed through UPS Terms and Conditions, and with the help of UPS and UPS Store Customer Service (whom initially sided with the store), it was finally agreed the store did not process the package correctly and would be responsible for all charges. Because I would not give up and contested the $800 charges; they stopped communications, the manager would not return nor take my calls, and the owners accused me of “harassment”. I was just yelled at by an irate employee at this store. This is concerning the employee who is currently on shift today, March 25th, at 1pm. I believe her name was Juilett or Juila or something similar.I needed to return an amazon purchase with a QR code. She was unable to scan the QR code on my phone, so I offered to read it to her since that is what they usually do. She did not want to do this because she was wearing gloves and told me to brighten my screen. I let her know that my screen would not go any brighter. She then called me a liar and told me that all phones go brighter than that. I offered to show her my phone because it will not go any brighter due to a replacement screen that was put on it a few years ago. She then rudely informed me that my sarcasm is not appreciated. There was no sarcasm involved, I just wanted to return my package and go home to continue self- isolation. I responded that I do not appreciate being spoken to so tersely and that usually they just type in the QR code because the scanner does not always work. She then escalated the situation and yelled that she just told me that she is wearing gloves and does not want to type it in.At this point I contemplated walking out since we were the only two in the store and she was obviously angry. I told her I just wanted to return my package and offered to read the code. As I was reading it she started yelling again that she was unable to do this because she was wearing gloves and I need to do what she wants if I want my package to be shipped. From my perspective, the gloves were not inhibiting her ability to punch numbers on the keyboard. At this point she continues yelling about how I am too close for her and social distancing calls for at least 6 feet. Well, she cant scan the QR code from 6 feet away and I was standing about 4 feet from her. At this point I took a step back and said forget it just give me my package back. She threw my package on the counter and continued to tell me how disrespectful I am for coming in during a pandemic and how awful I am. She continued yelling until I left the store.I understand that we are all on edge during this time, however, her behavior under no circumstances is warranted. She was rude, aggressive, and condescending for no reason other than she did not want to be there.

The owner / manager has a very unprofessional demeanor. The other customers were all noticeably uncomfortable thanks to an alienating staff. Even the regular FedEx guy who was picking up seemed uncomfortable. By far the poorest customer service experience Ive ever witnessed in a shipping office.

The slender dark haired gentleman is considerate and helpful but there was one kid (looked like a teenager or college student) with red hair (ginger) that was sitting slouched on the counter when I walked in. He glared at me, yes glared, while I walked down the stairs and said absolutely nothing. I was the only one in the store and I received no greeting even though the two of them were standing right there looking at me. Instantly I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable but continued with my business. How are you training your employees? This is not acceptable customer service. Get your employees off the counters and teach them how to treat customers with common decency.

Bad shipping experience in a while. Crated a international shipment label on UPS website with custom invoice, drop off the package in store, and got returned to me after 2 weeks because there is no custom invoice paper, which should be taped on the outside of the box , on the package.There is another surprise, the return shipment got delayed for a whole week. Tracking system says delivery address changed. Called customer service and they told me there is NO return address on this shipment. I created the shipping lable with my UPS account logged in and of course I have my default shipping address as a return address.For now I’ve wasted 3 weeks of time and $200 in total on this shipment. GREAT JOB!

This UPS Store is great!!! We had a delayed delivery issue (not UPS store’s fault) and Kevin went out of his way to help us, even offering to deliver our package personally when it arrived. The store took our phone number and called us right when the package came in. Couldn’t ask for better customer service. Simply excellent!!!

Took my package in that was provided with a prepaid shipping label only to be charged $1 to tape the box closed! Only for the the guy to take the box without taping it in front of me. I get that its just a dollar but hate being nickled and dimed when the post office does it for free! I better not get charged for anything missing!

I came here to ship a package and they shipped it to the wrong address. After I brought it in and let them know they did not offer any action to correct their mistake. The employees lied and said that the manager could fix the problem when he came in at 1pm but then later told me they actually have no clue when the manager comes in. The UPS store at this location is dishonest, has extremely poor leadership and lacks attention to detail. I will not be using them ever again and would recommend others do the same.

Im shocked at the bad reviews on here because I went in today and I had a wonderful experience! I walked in with textbooks up to my nose and the lady knew exactly what I was doing there (returning books), immediately went to find a free box for me to use and charged me a dollar for tape. She told me she had it covered and to have a great day. I didnt have to do a thing and she was SO friendly. Ive had my share of grouchy packaging stores, and this is not one.

Ive lived in Blacksburg for a few years now and have shipped and received items at this location. Most of the time it was OK. The rates are similar to the competition and the tracking system is good. No issues to report about packaging or shipping because I always package my own things and tend to go overboard.Anyway, what really irks me about this place is the customer service. The younger people who work here have always been pleasant, expedient, and precise. The older people, who I assume have some ownership in the store, have consistently been rude and inattentive. They will talk down to anyone who they think might be a college student, and will not answer questions directly. There was also a sense of entitlement from these employees as if the customers who use their location owe the employees (not in a literal, monetary sense).I do not recommend this location for anyone. Youd be better off anywhere else.

I went in to return a package to Amazon. I was greeted quickly and nicely. The associate was rude at the counter and proceeded to correct my English. I didnt graduate from VT but I know how to speak. The associate had a bad attitude and acted as if I was annoying her. I told her she did not have to be angry at me. Its a shame this is the only UPS store in the area.

Do NOT GO HERE! The guy who runs/owns this store is a crook! I shipped a valuable item, had the store pack it, and purchased insurance. It was delivered damaged to the west coast. The store owner told me he wasnt liable and to contact UPS. UPS told me the store was liable and handles these issues (UPS Store is not owned by UPS). In the end, not only did the store owner refuse to provide any refund, he threw my package away and claimed he never received it despite me presenting him with the UPS tracking number. FRAUD!

Would rate it zero stars if I could. What a horrible experience!! I shipped a fuel pump to Canada and it turns out UPS in Canada tries to scam their customers. UPS tried to charge the buyer of my fuel pump $50 for customs fees but he would not accept because he did not want to pay such an outrageous price. They tried three or four times to deliver and then it came back to Blacksburg. I picked up the fuel pump and sometime later the owner calls me wanting me to pay the customs fees. I told her it was a scam and I would not pay for such a disservice. I told her she should have warned me about the outrageous customs fees. She thought I was lying to her. She said some people like to have insurance on their items when they ship internationally. Who cares about insurance when they want to charge about what the item is worth in customs! To make matters even worse I get black listed from the store! Does not matter to me because I would rather give my money to someone that treats their customers how I want to be treated. I then had to pay to ship again but this time I used the good old United States Postal Service (USPS) and they charged the buyer $0.00 (zero dollars) for customs!Bottom Line---Stay away from shipping internationally with UPS!!!

I recently went by the UPS store to pick up my mail. There was a long line for people who wanted to mail packages. I got in the line and waited patiently to get my mail. Website says open on Saturdays at 9 am. As of 9.47 am it is still locked and shuttered. Have had no issues with this store in the past, so maybe it is a one off. About an hour later I did receive an apology call, some personnel snafu, so all good.

Don’t try to bring a flash drive with a pdf to print. It took me 20 minutes for the computer to attempt to print and it ended up crashing. I had to send my document to the guy who works here so he could print it from his back office computer. If you have no value for time this is the place for you. If not, try some place else.

The level of detail and loyalty that this business shows to its customers is incredible. They manage my box for me while I am away and email me with updates. I missed the delivery for an order I had placed so I figured that I would call the UPS store to see the next time it may be delivered or if I could pick it up myself. The woman on the phone told me I needed to call the 800 UPS store number, which confused me a little bit so I asked why I needed to do that. Ok, so Im assuming that those who gave the store more than 1 star had the pleasure of working with Danielle, or someone else who actually believes in customer service, and not the owner. I waited a few days before righting this review, just to make sure that I still felt the way I feel about this UPS store.The owner of this place has been trying to sell her franchise for what seems to be years and her attitude and lack of customer service shows it. Maybe shes just tired of running a small business? Maybe she just doesnt know how to run a business. Its not an easy thing and if you dont have the mind and the tenacity to be all in when owning a small business, youre bound to be screwed.But who in their right mind would want to buy a franchise that most people hate so much? Why not just be nice and understanding, even if you cant help the customer, because usually all a customer wants is for someone to be on their side (I should know, I am a small business owner as well). The owner is incredibly rude, doesnt give you an inch when youre trying to explain your situation or how you feel about the service, constantly cuts you off when youre trying to talk and tries to make herself out to be the victim and blames everyone else for a customers dissatisfaction.Save yourself some time and MONEY and go to the USPS or FedEX store. The UPS store here, especially with its current owner, it just simply not worth it.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. I have been there twice, and both times customer service was horrendous. The last time I was there, I asked them a question and they wrote the answer in marker ON MY PACKAGE so the person I was sending it to had to contend with scribble all over the nice box, then they lied to me and said the USPS across the street wouldnt be able to ship a package this big (100% untrue, they ship packages far larger than this one, they were just saying that so I wouldnt go over there and double check), then they told me that even though the package was 20 lbs, they were going to have to charge it as if it was 60lbs (not true and also, completely unethical). By the way, I was totally nice to them, so they had no reason to lie to me and try to cheat me. I took it right over to USPS where even with insurance, it worked out to be over $20 cheaper. The customer service I got at USPS was fantastic, Ive never seen anything like this UPS store. Massively unprofessional, dishonest, and terrible. F- Never again.
