These guys use use parts from old phones and computers. They scavange parts and sell them and install them. Their work is garbage and they are crooked as hell. If you have any warranty going to them will void it because they will do more damage than you had. I have been to other stores that do the repair same day at same apple cost with actual NEW apple supplied batteries. Dont fall for their shotty work

My office computer motherboard went bad. This computer ran software that is older and more importantly crucial to my business. They tested and found that the computer could not be repaired, set up a refurbished computer, moved my hard drive , moved my ram and added ram, tested the software and had me back in business the next day. Best of all, they did all of that for $309. I would have paid much more and still been happy as this was so important. Recommend them highly.

Just called them, they dont do repairs for iPhone 11 Pro. Understandable.When I asked battery replacement charges for iPhone SE 1st Gen, the lady said $100 while Apple itself charges 50$ for it. Not at all Friendly conversation.

We had a laptop with a damaged power jack. The folks at PC Land didnt make any promises about being able to repair the laptop and I assumed we would hear back in a week or more of they would be able to fix it. They called us back the same day and said they could make the repair with a part they already had! When my wife went to pick up the laptop she was very impressed with the customer service and attention to detail of the staff. The woman she spoke with was very thorough in demonstrating the effectiveness of the repair and took the time to make a cosmetic repair before giving back the laptop.We will definitely return for future purchases and repairs.

I seriously do not know what I would do without PC Land. As a small business owner, it is just so easy and convenient to be able to run down the street and get a part, or a computer, or even just an answer to a question regarding our technology needs. They are always friendly and helpful. Today when I was there, I saw a customer who didnt speak tech very well. With no Apple Store here local to Roanoke, I stumbled upon Cyberline Computers, they worked with me directly to resolve the issues I had with my Apple device. They offered to do what Apple refused, and at 1/3 the price. No hidden fees, No bait and switch, just results and professional service. I am very glad that I found Cyberline and I will always refer people I know to them, no because I have to, but because they were honest, and they took ownership of the problem I had even though they didnt cause it. Overpriced, bought an 8 GB stick of off brand RAM for $70 only to discover later I could have bought a brand name 16 GB kit for the same price. Shop online or find a brick and mortar Micro Center or Best Buy. Better prices are to be found anywhere.

Ive purchased odds and ends from PC Land for several years and loved the friendly staff and great prices. This week I needed a legacy battery replacement for an older MacBook Air. No problem! Battery was ordered quickly and the replacement was completed a day early at a very fair price. PC Land really goes above and beyond. There is no reason to look elsewhere for Mac and PC needs. My experience with PC Land was stellar! I arrived with a dead laptop, wouldnt even turn on and it was smelling of melted plastic when I tried to start it up, so I was sure everything was toast but they SAVED the day! For just $40 bucks, they restored all of my data to a different, working machine, EVEN my email folders and archives, and it was nicely organized so I could get on with life/work while I sent my laptop away for two weeks to be fixed by the manufacturer, which was all done for free, since it was under warranty.

I opened my music store, Bridge Kaldro Music, to find that our server was down, and therefore, our whole business was down. No server, no sales. i had my daughter bring the computer to PC at 11 am on a Saturday morning. By 11:30 we were back in business. Always fantastic service. They actually know about computers compared to some places Ive been. The employees dont talk down to you, over your head, or attempt to push unneeded hardware or services. They also offer refurbished computers at fantastic prices which is all a lot of people need.

MUCH faster than the 3 week wait period (and still waiting, has yet to arrive) parts I had ordered from a well known and supposedly reputable company online. I wanted to go to a computer repair store that was cheaper then the ones back at NOVA and still did a good job with apple products. This place was amazing at helping out with my MacBook become faster and they gave me several options to try and save money since Apple makes is impossible to get anything replaced without paying hundreds and hundreds of dollars. They were very knowledgeable and not only cleaned up my laptop but also gave me tips and tricks to keep it from slowing down in the future. I definitely would recommend coming here whether you have a MacBook or not.

Staffs are helpful and they are willing to negotiate price with you. However, I dock off 2 points because I am frustrated because they can only fix things that are related to random access memories.

I have always gotten the best service possible from this store, the guy is a completely experienced person and he has saved me from spending extra money on sth that i thought the problem was. If you have a problem with your pc you should definitely hit the guy up before destroying everything and then taking a broken piece to the guy and imagining he would do magic while you have destroyed everything else.

Cyberline Computers was amazing! They have repaired two devices for me - An iPhone and my laptop. Every time Im there the staff is beyond kind to me, and the repairs were done quickly and professionally. Sam is especially nice, he will put in the extra effort to make your time there great. He does anything and everything he can to make sure the repair is the best it can be and that his work is high-quality.Ive had many iPhones, and Ive cracked many iPhones. This was the first time I was happy with a repair. Everywhere else I have been has done a poor job with the screen placement, left out screws, or even left parts unfixed. He truly is the best in the valley.

While they are called PC land, they also do a fantastic job at repairing cracked iPhone screens and damaged LCDs! They got my iPhone 7+ looking and working as good as it was the day I purchased it. Im also very satisfied with them bringing my gaming computer back to life, no one else couldnt figure out the problem but they did! Dont waste your time and money with GeekSquad!EDIT:should I also add that both times, they got me in and out each time within 2 hours? It can take many days and even weeks for many tech repair businesses to fix your technology, but thats not a option when you have a business or career that is reliant on that technology, and PC land is very aware and understanding of this.

They took me 40 dollars to diagnose my laptop potential fan issue and said it is alright, but it is not all right, when gaming the FPS down pretty low due to overheated gpu. I have to treadown it by myself and find one of the gpu fans do not work at all. Then I repair that fan by myself. Now it works all right. I am wondering how can’t they find that problematic fan? That is so obvious. That 2 star is not because they charge me 40 dollars or I want it repaired at the same day, it is because they didn’t diagnose the fan issue and tell me the fan is nothing problematic but a little noising. Btw the staff is actually nice and helpful.

Helped me track down a 4gb ram card for my six year old HP laptop. Very reasonable price, and they said if it didnt work with my machine I could bring back for full refund. It works beautifully on my machine and kept me from buying a whole new laptop. Thank you to the staff and the shop, so happy I was able to keep my business local rather than an internet supplier. Very nice, very responsive, but not knowledgeable enough to fix my computer after MANY hours which I was billed for. I expect to pay for knowledge and experience, but I am unwilling to pay for the time it takes him to LEARN....especially when the result is a dead computer. Specifically, he was unable to diagnose a faulty motherboard, and instead spent HOURS trying to coax a brief spark of life out of a terminal patient. I am embarrassed it took me over $1000 of tuition to learn to avoid Cyberline.

I have used them for years. Theyre always helpful, and have what I want. Its also nice to stay in Blacksburg, and support a small business. Easy to work with, good advice, and the few times Ive need to return items theres no hassle.

Took my samsung phone to get the charging port fixed. After they returned it, the SIM card wouldnt connect, and the phone still did not charge properly. They gave it back to me, saying they didnt know what to do. The only advice they had was to call Samsung and that I might get a deal on a new one. I of course asked for a refund, and I only got a partial refund of the part, $50 out of the $60 it cost. The reason I was told this was, was because they hadnt checked the phone to be sure it worked before they started working on it. So basically, I paid $160 for them to break my phone.

I left my laptop there to have fixed. Less than 2 weeks after I picked it up I noticed a crack on the side. I spoke to the owner of Cyberline who said said how does he know the damage was done at his shop. About 4 weeks later I was having problems with the laptop turning on. Obviously I didnt take it back to Cyberline. The shop I took it to showed me as I was standing there that it was taped inside. Yes, taped. I dont feel right about giving Cyberline even one star however, there is no option here to give it a zero stars or I would. Total zero.

TLDR - Prices for PC parts are somewhat high, they institute a non-standard return policy, and they were not willing to price match even down to current MSRP on parts.I went to this store because Best Buy didnt have any PCIe Wifi cards in-stock and I would have had to wait two days for the item to ship. Doing some looking around on Google, I ran across PC Land and decided to give it a shot since it was a local business and their staff had given me good recommendations in the past for my first PC build.Again, the staff was nice enough, but the prices are just astronomical compared to whats on offer in say Best Buy or another big-box retailer. I bought a TP-Link AC1200 for $49.99 not bothering to check the price online. Getting home and installing the card, I went to Amazon to check, and the card was going for only $23 with an MSRP of $30...Needless to say, I felt like I had been cheated and went back to either have them match the MSRP or return the item. However, one thing I didnt catch before buying was the return policy, which states that pretty much every item you return is subject to a 20% restocking fee. In the end, they gave me $10 back, but I just find it a bit insulting that they would price gouge to that degree. Lesson learned I guess.Edit: Just to give transactions more transparency in the future, I feel the return policy should be advertised somewhere on the website. Currently, I cant find any mention of the policy except whats listed on store receipts after buying an item.Edit: After the response from management on my post, Ive adjusted the wording in the TLDR of my review. Id very much like to continue to do business with the store on good terms, I was just taken aback that they could not price match to current MSRP. I completely understand that smaller stores cant move the same volume of product as say a large retailer with a lower profit margin needed to stay in business. But when the item in question is marked over 50% more than current MSRP, that seems a bit incredulous. Im sure your prices are within that margin I mentioned before for you to offer a good deal to customers and also make a profit, but in this case, that just doesnt hold up. I took in an older desktop PC that would cut off and finally didnt restart. Jane had Zack, the technician, look at it immediately. He diagnosed the shutdowns as processor overheating as extremely dirt and suggested I give it a thorough cleaning with canned air.The diagnosis didnt cost me anything and they had the air in stock. Not sure Best Buy in Christiansburg even sells it.After reading some negative reviews here, I was reluctant to try PC Land,. I called Best Buy Geek Squad and learned that they do only very minor stuff in house. Everything else is shipped to a central depot for repair. Ugh!I realize this was not a complex issue, but I appreciated the goodwill it generated. The PC works fine now, and I will return to PC Land soon. I have a laptop that needs a bigger hard drive...

My wife and I both have custom made PCs, unfortunately I bought them from a dealer on Ebay. I know, live and learn. My wife is a gamer and her computer kept shutting down in the middle of a fight. I took her computer to another computer place here in Roanoke and was told it needed a new video card. Over $300.00 later with a brand new card, it continued to do the same thing.I took it to Cyberline Computers and told Sam what the issues were. He called me back later the same day, (I was expecting it to take 2 to 3 days since it had at the other place, without being even fixed)Sam told me the wiring was messed up. No way to know if the builder did that or the other puter guys.That night my wife played The Division for about four hours without any problem. The next day I took my computer in since it had starting shutting down when I was running a labor intensive program. Again, it was fixed the same day.Sam at Cyberline has made a customer for life. If ever I decide to have another custom PC made, I will be having it done at Cyberline.A good honest man who knows what he is doing.

I have never had a bad experience here, and the store has come in handy on many, many occasions where I forgot to order a part when placing an online order. The staff is always helpful and willing to negotiate prices.Small, locally owned computer stores are an endangered species, and you dont know how useful they are until they are gone. They are easy targets for upset customers though - who likes dealing with tech support when their computer is broken? Customers go into the store in a foul mood, leave with a bill and a wait, and go home and complain about it on the internet. Shocking. I personally like this place and am very happy that it is available to me, since no other physical store fills the same niche. This is an under-appreciated local establishment that apparently takes a lot of abuse from disgruntled students. Keep it up guys - you still have your supporters in town among an ocean of nay-sayers.

Brought my laptop in the day before the start of spring semester because the hard drive had went bad and they had it diagnosed and fixed in 3 hours. Their prices are very competitive too. I had a 256gb SSD replaced for $170 ($90 for SSD, $80 for labor). They also showed me the old SSD they took out to assure me that I wasnt screwed. Highly recommend taking your tech here.

I had a spill on my Macbook Pro earlier this semester. The Macbook Pro was only a year old. I tried to dry it out myself because it would still turn on for a little while. However, it ended up just shutting completely down and I could not get into it. I took it to Best Buys Geek Squad and they were absolutely no help, and worried me to death that nothing could be done for it. They were going to charge me $100 just to send it off to see if anything could be done. I bought a new Macbook because I obviously had to have a laptop for school. I took my Macbook Pro to PC Land and they said that they did not have the part to get the information off of my hard drive, but would order it. They literally ordered the part, transferred all of my stuff over from my pro (that would no longer turn on) onto my new macbook for literally only $40! They really know what they are doing and have amazing customer service as well. I can assure you that if ever I have anything go wrong with my computers again in the future, I will be going to them first. They are by far the best!
