Nice place... yes good sevice... no nice fair pricing... no . I wont be going back there again because I wont stand for waiting for the (older gal) bar tender or any bar tender to finish up with what sure appeared to be a personal phone call while giving me the one minute gesture while chatting away to get iffy service So , see ya wouldnt want to be ya!!!

We had great food and service! My husband said the Reuben was the best he had had and I had the walleye and fries. They were done perfect! Nice atmosphere and the staff was very attentive!

Best place to take a load off and cut loose, Jordan is the owner and makes you feel like you are a long time friend, he is gifted in the art of brewing, try his Pain Perdu my favorite beer, tell your wife to drive.

I am a complete fan of this place. My favorite brewery in town to be honest. A well rounded beer menu, and great food to go along with it. A friendly staff that will have a great conversation with you and explain the entire brewing process if you ask. The mention of Ale Works will come up, but they are a totally different business. So before you just assume, come up stairs and have a beer, or more. The environment is excellent and you just may get involved with some board games and lose track of time.

Extremely disappointed. Decided to try Bismarck Brewing for the first time with our friends. No one greeted us or explained we had to order food downstairs or what the process was. Has questions about beer and food and not one person came to our table to greet us so we walked out. Will not be recommending Bismarck Brewing or Ale Works to anyone unless you want terrible service.

Update your dang website and voicemail!! Both of them say youre open Sundays 11-4.Didnt get to try your brew....

Food took a while, but they were busy and clearly under staffed. Beer was good, a lot of variety.

Cream Ale is very good. Sliced steak sandwich is good. Barbeque sauce is awesome.

Best brewery in Bismarck. Great mix of types of beers on the menu. All the beer we tried was delicious. Their Contact Rye as well as their Pilsner are both excellent. Great service as well.

The Atmosphere & Ambiance Was Cool, I Loved The Antiques that were Placed Around & The Stain Glass in the Place was Beautiful, The Place Was Very Clean & Our Waitress was AWESOME. I Felt So Bad for Her that She HAD to Keep a Mask On 😢 But The Food For The Price Wasnt All That Gr8. I Had Like the Ckn.Parm & My Date Had A Steak W/5-6 Green Beans. Neither of us Were Overwhelmed with the Taste of ANY of It. Not Sure If Wed Go Back. We Prob. Would *IF* the Food Was Better, Cuz the Place Looks Good & The Staff is Nice.

The rare 5 stars, and not because they got me drunk!We entered and headed for the podium (ale Works), where we were advised to visit upstairs first if we were beer drinkers. We were told there was a limited menu upstairs to order from -or- we could order drinks upstairs and then come down for the full menu. We took option one.I had the best porter beef pot pie in the world. No question about it. Ive sampled Londons and Irelands best pot pies. London barely beat them out with the mini chicken sage pie, but it wasnt a porter beef pot pie...My husband had a smokey brat with tangy mustard and kraut... more importantly potato pancakes- POTATO PANCAKES... with sour cream deliciousness!On to the beer. We tried 6 options, 3 each, and each was an excellent representation of the category it represented.Staff were engaging- we felt welcomed.Ive found my new favorite place. Why must you be 90 minutes away??

Good selection of beers on draft, decent food, and attentive staff. You don’t have to wear a mask on the patio but do in the dining area so be prepared in case you need to go inside.

The atmosphere was great and the service was good, but when I bit into my leftovers tonight the chicken was bloody pink and there was a huge chunk of fat on the end. I don’t think I’ll get this again, and I don’t know if I’m willing to try it again because of the prices. Paying $12 for a sandwich should guarantee a fully cooked piece of chicken with the fat cut off.

Recently moved back to Bismarck and have made this my regular lunch and dinner spot. Space is warm and comfortable, lots of beer and other drink choices and the food has been outstanding every time. Dont miss the Thursday prime rib special, anyone I have gone with has agreed its one of the best prime rib meals theyve had. Keep it up Bb!

Bismarck Brewing / Aleworx has great beers and really good food. Not only do the serve beer that is brewed on site, but they also have a wonderful selection of other craft brews from around the country. The food has good flavors and the portions are very generous. Anybody that walks away hungry from these meals must have a bottomless pit.

Good onion rings. Burger has great flavor but a little on the small side. Lobster & shrimp roll was mostly roll so pretty disappointing. Beers okay, nothing noteworthy. Service was decent. Restaurant and brewing company are in same building but are apparently two separate legal entities for liquor license reasons. Only some of the brewery beers available downstairs in restaurant. Sat upstairs so we could have all the BBC beers. Tried all the beers, ND IPA was best. Good but not remarkable.

Excellent food and beer, we split the pastrami sandwich and German pretzel, more than enough for two, the potato cakes with the horse radish sauce was a great side. I had the Ghost in the Machine Stout and my wife had the Implication , very good, had to let them warm up a bit for better taste.

It wasnt a bad time. The beers arent very complex but they arent bad either. The place is new so Ill check it out again in the future to see how the beer has progressed.

Great variety of beers, and the brewmasters are constantly adding more brews to their selection! Personal favorites are Liquid Lunch and the ND IPA.

Horrible service! The two “beer masters” that were behind the counter up top didn’t want us there! The taller one gave us dirty looks like we should not be up there. You cannot order food from them so major inconvenience to walk downstairs, order food, then go back up stairs if you want to sit up there. We never got checked on once, I had to ask for drinks. The sandwich was good, brisket, but the fries were WAY over seasoned with some house seasoning they used, even ketchup couldn’t cover it up. The beers were good.Lots of other places to eat and drink that actually want business...it was a Saturday at about 12:30 and it was pretty dead, now I know why!

Excited about a new restaurant, our excitement had been short lived. Over an hour wait for food. When it finally did arrive, it was cold.Fish and chips were fries and the fish comparable to boxed fish sticks. The beef pot pie had been microwaved, the gravy leaked out, and burnt to the side of the plate. It’s contents were comparable to Dinty More: Banquet potpies would have been a lot more appetizing.The only saving grace was our waitress, Summer. Although not her fault, she apologized and genuinely seemed to feel bad that our dining experience had been so miserable.

I will probably never come back here again. For a brewing restaurant, the beer choices were subpar. The food is WAY too overpriced for what you get. The food tastes fine, nothing special. I paid $20 for and entrée with 3 shrimp and a bed of rice. I was insulted when I got the dish. The menus were very unfinished and lacked descriptions and detail. They were on pieces of printer paper. Since I like MacKenzie River I thought I would give this one a shot. Huge miss.

We had an excellent dinner here last weekend. I tell you what the opening restaurant bugs are long gone. Arrived and the place was pretty busy; two or three groups waiting for a table. Went to the bar instead. Its beautiful inside the building. The brewery portion is upstairs operating as a separate business. Promptly order and received an appetizer, tried the bruschetta; it was very tasty with the creamy horseradish sauce. We ordered the Jager Spatzle and the Goulash. Received within 15 min. Both were very good. But that pork cutlet and spatzle takes the cake. Try it asap.. Wow I cant wait to return and try it again for good measure!
