Came in with an idea and came out looking glamorous! i love my hair, joseph did an amazing job and i had a great conversation with him. the inside is like no other, very homey and beautifully decorated. easily the best salon in birmingham. i’ll be visiting again (:

I’ve been going to get my haircut by Chance for years. I’ve moved away from Birmingham but I try to get an appointment whenever I know I’ll be in town. Unfortunately his Saturdays are always booked! Every experience I’ve had here with the staff has been fantastic. Best place to get a haircut in Bham!

Peter is who will be cutting my hair for as long as he works in the state of Alabama. He is personable and extremely professional. Hes great at conversation and keeping the entire process fun and comfortable. I love my hair. Its different from how I normally style my hair and Im so glad he is the one to give me EXACTLY what I wanted. He made sure I was happy every step of the way. Not too mention the pricing is beyond reasonable for the quality experience. Also, want to mention how serious they are taking PPE measures during COVID. I walked in and the entire place smelled like cleaning products. I felt safe that they were taking their customers health and safety seriously. As well as their own. I love this place.

I have gone there several times now and every time I have been very pleased. Each time I have kind of ask for a different type of hair cut and they have nailed it every time. After covid and a lot of places were still closed I went to a well known barber shop just to get a trim and even that just made me realize how much better the stylist at orbit were. Prices don’t break the bank either! Even if I get a bad hair cut there (which I don’t expect to) I’ll still go back because of how well they treat you and that the mistake is for sure a one off at this point.

Waited for 3 weeks and spent $300+ on hair that I didn’t want. The products they use (not just the bleach/dye, but the shampoo and conditioner as well) smells awful. At least the stylist attempted to fix most of the things that was wrong with the hair after it initially looked objectively horrible, but the solution was “dye it to a darker color when I wanted to go lighter”. Very disappointed.

I love Orbit and Kaitlin. I have gone and come back to her over the years. She is one of the best and shes definitely my hair person for life. I cant wait until its safe for me to get my hair done again. I would highly recommend anyone in this salon.

The haircuts are lovely and so are the people. Clay cuts my hair and hes not scissor happy so he always takes just the right amount off. He also did the big chop on my hair almost 2 years ago to get all the old color out and it turned so well. Wont go anywhere else.

Chance has an eye for details and is the best stylist that I’ve had cut my hair there. He’s always good at keeping up a conversation and makes me look forward to my next haircut.

Recently relocated from Brooklyn, NY. Orbit Salon offers deluxe hair service that is truly bespoke. The salon is strongly trend-aware but never too smug or hipster. The staff are professional, warm and welcoming. Clay is super-talented and has been a friend for many years. I am a very lucky girl to call him my new hair colorist and stylist.

Best place in town for a haircut

I used to always leave my salon appointments being okay with how my hair turned out after spending $200-$250 (blonde=high maintenance) and never really LOVING my color or cut. That was until I found Orbit! I book my appointments with Kaitlin and I have LOVED my color and cut every time I leave my appointment. It is nice knowing I have a set stylist now that I can trust with my hair and I always know that I will love the outcome! I highly recommend Orbit and anyone on their staff. The atmosphere is so laid back and comfortable. And Joe is so nice!

Ive had Wade and Peter cut my hair and been very happy with their work. Its 35 minutes from where I live but worth the drive. Front desk staff is always nice and offer complimentary water, soda or beer if you ever have to wait.

I think his name is Wade - he did a fantastic job!!! I came in after my style was ruined in another salon and he was freaking amazing - both personality and skills! Love my hair and highly recommend!

I called Orbit Salon upon the recommendation of stylist Kaitlin. I was in distress over the condition of my long, bleached, pink/purple hair. I requested Peter and was very happy that I could get in that same week. He completely transformed my hair into a short brunette Victoria Beckham bob with highlights in a little under 2 hours! I feel so polished and I havent stopped smiling since. Peter is an incredibly talented and intuitive stylist. I would trust him with any hair service.

Elle does an amazing job! The salon is well run, everyone is friendly and very personable. Joe is a real personality and always makes my visit entertaining.

Called to ask about senior stylists and/or best stylist for short hair and the receptionist was sarcastic and rude. Its a normal question to ask and he made no attempt to understand. Wow. I cant believe customer service has gotten so bad.

I drive an hour to get my hair cut at Orbit...I wouldnt do that if it werent worth it. Peters cuts are really consistent and at a reasonable price. This is a quality up-scale salon without the pretense. Call them, tell them what you need, and they will put you with the right person.

LOVED this place!! I used that Davines salon locator to find Orbit. The lady at the front was friendly, and Brenann did an AMAZING job. If you have long, thick, hair, go to Brenann! This was my first time here and I get so nervous when I go to someone new, but she was able to understand my hair type and give me my usual cut and style. She was so friendly and professional, and gave great advice on where to visit in Birmingham since I’m new to the area. My ends looks healthy, my hair is smooth, and I will absolutely recommend this place to anyone who loves the Davines brand.
