Good local spot with good brands but overall selection is lacking a bit

I took my skis here to get waxed & repaired. Hans took half a look at my skis and said you need to take some lessons. I mentioned Im a decent skier, but i wasnt looking for criticism of my ski style, just needed a quick repair. Hans said there was nothing he could do repair my skis (theyre usable, just needed some cosmetic work). He repeatedly and condescendingly told me i should take lessons. I drove across town to REI in Troy, they said theyd have them repaired by this weekend. AVOID DONS SPORTSHAUS AT ALL COSTS. I seriously question Hans ski knowledge...

Great service with honest staff that was very helpful outfitting my son in his first set of skis and boots.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!! I had them mount bindings to my new skis and on the 3rd day of use the back binding stripped from the ski, costing me a day skiing out west. I brought them back to the shop, and was told that they did nothing wrong and it was a known problem with the skis and wanted to charge me to repair them. I took them to 2 other shops, and both told me that the bindings were installed incorrectly and there was nothing wrong with the skis. Very disappointed.

Pauly and the team at Don Thomas are legends. As a first time skier I had an amazing experience working together to find the right skis, bindings, boots, and poles that were within my skill level and budget. We also strategized to ensure I was set up for when I inevitably advance as a skier.They have your best interest in mind whether your getting fitted for boots or talking technical ski gear. I love my new rig and have been super comfortable on the slopes thanks to them. 10/10 will go to them again.

Hans was extremely helpful fitting me for new boots and then did an excellent job with a remount of my bindings. The whole staff was welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable, and I enjoyed chatting with them while I was waiting for my skis to be serviced. The pricing was fair and the shop looks great. Thank you!

They fixed my inner ski boot for free. I didnt even buy them there. They spent all this time with me helping with my cold feet (Reynolds). A ton of info for free. I will buy from them now for yrs and recommend to all. Totally amazing people and so knowledgeable / professional! Tx You! Erin C

Kyle has helped my family with new skis and bindings twice in the last month and both times hes been great! Super patient, answered every question, was thoughtful about his answers and guided us to the right skis. Steve was also really nice - helping me out without making me feel pressured to buy right then. This is the first time Ive ever shopped at Don Thomas and I will definitely be back!

Had a great experience buying a pair of ski boots last month. The staff was really friendly and helped me get boots that both felt comfortable and fit my price range. The custom booting fitting was great, and nobody tried to up-sell me on anything. Would definitely recommend, and Ill be back for sure.

Hans took the time to fit my boots perfectly by selling me a pair of insoles. I was ready to buy a new pair of boots ($400-500), but Hans sold me on the idea of insoles ($50). Their dedication to meeting customer needs instead of chasing $$ makes them one of the top ski shops that I have ever been to. Thanks DTS!

I took my skis in on Wednesday to get waxed & sharpened for a ski trip I’m leaving for on Saturday (tomorrow) morning. I got told this evening (Friday) that 1 pair of snow blades (which are very difficult to find in stores) is delaminating and will fall apart on the slopes.I’m giving 2 stars because they did do a good job waxing 2 pairs of skis. I am very disappointed that after 3 days of having my skis I wasn’t told they were in poor condition and I now have to scramble to replace them or purchase them while on the trip.

First number i called was disconnected second number had a voicemail saying the store is closed. Not sure if this was a real business or even open anymore so I called to check and On a Monday at 1pm the answering machine says its closed. No human contact established.

Great customer service, Kyle E. worked within my budget to get me the best ski package I could afford and still optimized it for performance.

People in this store are so knowledgeable and nice specially Steve he is so helpful found me a product in another store that they didnt have in there store i am definitely coming back me and my family thank you guys so much.
