This shop is one of the most trustworthy shops I have EVER been to in my many years of driving. I knew I needed a transmission in my car, and that is exactly what they told me I needed. They did not try to run my bill up either. Tara kept me updated every step along the way. I thought they did such a good job that I brought my sons car in for an engine. Adam and Tara have made taking my vehicles to the shop a pleasant experience. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS!!

Man these gotta be the nicest people Ive ever met! Not only did they fix my air for LESS THAN 2 OTHER SHOPS QUOTED me. They told me about an extended warranty that I could buy to help me with other repairs. Most shops just out to get your money....not these guys tho! This shop has renewed my faith in the mechanic profession. I had another so called mechanic fix my car and well that didnt work out. I used York Automotive to diagnose and replace the transmission on my 2013 Nissan Rogue after them being recommended by a friend. This was hands down the best experience I’ve ever had with a mechanic! I had been to 2 other places and received no answers though I thought the problem was something to do with the transmission. Tera and the other staff were so friendly, honest, professional and made the experience seamless and easy! Tera worked with my warranty company and handled everything, all I had to do was drop it off and they got the problem diagnosed and repaired without a hitch. I will NEVER go to another mechanic again! They got a new customer for life! If you have ANY automotive needs I would recommend York Automotive!

My check engine light came on in my 2001 Mercedes SLK320 and they were able to diagnose it and repair the car without issue. Very reasonable prices. They call you before each added expense, and explain why each step is necessary in terms that anyone can understand. Very happy with my experience!

I cant say enough good things about this shop!!! They literally saved the day for me and my daughter. We were passing thru on the way to take my daughter to UAB and my car started overheating. I jumped on google and this shop was only 1/2 mile away from us so I called and they said come right on. Adams wife Tera is so kind and an absolute doll!! She stayed on the phone with me until I made it and Adam met me outside. Talk about speedy service! Thankfully it was just a faulty thermostat, which they fixed and sent us on our way...for a very good price might I add! I feel much better leaving my daughter in a city with people like them close by to take care of her vehicle needs.

I often work on my vehicles on me, but when I cant I look for someone who is knowledgeable and fair. I like to use my own oil and filters and couldnt find anyone that would us my materials. When I drove on the lot I was greeted with a handshake and told they would be willing to do the oil change for me. I will be definitely be considering York for my future auto repair needs.

I came to adam with a car from crooks that had engine issues galore.he took his time sure lol(he is only one man)...it definitely tested my anxiety control.but the results were next to none.his work was great.his report on the vehicle was outstanding.my color didnt matter either even though he is a white man.he respected me, the little i knew and my frustration.5 stars

The cute couple seem to run the business in a really good way. I saw a notification regarding my review and decided to edit it so as to not harm the rating in any way.

Adam hooked my girl up on her transmission. I never had any problems when I bring my car to this shop so I sent my girl up to get hers fixed on.They had it done in 3 days they knew I was taking her to work and it was hard for us so they came thru for her. Tried to charge me $3000 to replace a motor in a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder that has the Nissan VQ35DE 3.0 V-6. Thats the exact V-6 thats been in every V-6 Nissan and Infinity vehicle for the last 18 years!? The motor they (we) found had 77k miles on it and cost $1k, so they were trying to charge me $2000 just to install a motor, which is only supposed to take 25 man hours, which is way above the industry standard of $800. I gave them a 2nd star bc the Manager was polite and helpful, but Im afraid this is the kind of mechanic shop that gives mechanics and mechanic shops bad names. I will never advise anyone to take their car to York Automotive. And made me pay them $70 before the tow truck (that was already there and waiting) could pick it up to take it to Bos Automotive, who is finding, buying, and installing a motor and fixing a few other things for no more than $1800.

My experience was horrible. They actually made a part to go on my vehicle causing more damage than the vehicle already had and denied doing so. They blamed others for the problem; however, this was the only shop that dealt with the repair of the particular problem. Another shop actually found the part and gave it to me and told me that they created more issues. I would not deal with them under any circumstances.

Had an issue with my car and not only Adam helped towed it to his shop, he was very thorough and made sure it works properly. His wife also kept me updated with my car and made me feel secure about it.

I highly recommend this place if you have anything automotive to be repaired, very professional and helpful in all aspects of the repair, they even came in to work on Saturday to ensure I would have my truck for the holiday weekend. Anything that was needed extra other than what was on the estimate I was contacted first before it was added and explained why I needed it, I will return any vehicle I have to this place if I need anything that I cant fix myself!!

This repair shop is GREAT! My car was shaking very badly. I pulled into the shop, the owner looked at my car, diagnosed the problem in about 1 1/2 hour later, paid the very reasonable bill and then I was on my way back to Atlanta!Thanks, Mr YorkTracy

Took my car to have struct mounts put on cause they previously did good work before and I trusted them to finish the project on my car. The owner called and told me that my car was ready,went in and paid $175. So I got up the street and saw that the parts that I paid him for was in the front seat of my car. I went back and confronted him about it and he lied and told me something different...so I got my refund back and will never go back there. Don’t do business there, go elsewhere.

This place did a complete overhaul on my car rebuilt my motor electrical system did grapics and much more amd for a great price and was fast to thanle guys
