I just left there and the man in the back looked at me and then turned away. I then rode closer he then turned and yelled in distraught I sm the only one here and I have two other vehicles and turned away. I felt totally disrespected as a woman in distress and felt he could have at least greeted me better. I left hes definitely not in the business of pleasing custom.

I gotta tell you these guys were awesome. Had another place try an fix something that wasnt a problem instead of what I was asking for. I spent more here, but my cars driving smooth and I dont hear the wheel hub bearings anymore. I got there at 8, they had me an estimate and time frame in 20 minutes. Mechanic knows his craft. Id take anything here first if I lived in the area. I was on a trip and these guys helped me out while others were talking another day before they could look at it.

Closing time conflicts with 6 pm closing time on Google. They are open 9am to 5pm instead.

This Mavis Tire location is top notch. Bill the store manager was very helpful getting me in early and his team did great work on my tires. They gave me very reasonable options for my large SUV and not over buy for the type of tires needed. I will be back again for all my tire needs.

Great service, nice folks, and great price! All they did was remove a nail, but I got a rotation and a smile from their service professional! Ive been burned too many times by the express folks that lie and take your money, so Im glad to find these guys! Ill be back!

Apparently if you have an appointment it doesnt matter. They will take walk ins and push the appointments out of the rotation. Even though they got slammed early in the day and knew they couldnt help the later in the day appointments they couldnt even give a courtesy call to let you know. Telling me to schedule an appointment early Monday wont fly. I know how the days of the week work and I also know how appointments work at your location. Didnt even try to remedy the situation with an offer or the likes. Wont be back

My tires arrived as ordered, they got my car in on time and me out in a timely manner.Good job!

Got a pretty good deal on my tires. But they didn’t balance the front tires and I had a significant vibration. They worked me in again to look at it, said the tires weren’t balanced but there’s still a mild vibration. I think they’re still not quite balanced. That’s disappointing as that’s a reasonable expectation on new tires. And at this point I think I’ll have to go somewhere else to get it done right.

I went to have a battery replaced that was still under warranty. I was told the warranty didnt cover it bc my alternator was supposedly bad. they spoke with my stepfather who asked them to put a cheap battery in so I couldget home.. they seemingly worked with me and only charged me the installation fee .. but noted my starter was bad. we called a tow truck to get me home and have a friend fix things. The alternator was FINE. meaning my battery was under warranty anyway and they werent doing me any favors by putting a cheaper on and only charging for installation. Im really disappointed. the staff seemed very nice, but I was almost swindled out of a lot of money bc of unscrupulous practices or error in diagnosing the problem. they wanted 500 for a rebuilt alternator. Id initially given a good rating because of how they are friendly and seem to be forthcoming with the situation and options.but now that found out how wrong they were about everything, ill never go back to any ntb again.

I bought a set of 4 tires there and about 6 months later I got a nail in one of them which happens so no big deal.I thought I’d take it back there to get it fixed.First time, it wasn’t fixed at all because when I got in the car next morning, tire pressure warning light was back on. I took it back and waited for about an hour to get it fixed and guess what? The tire pressure warning light is back on again next morning.I mean it’s only $25 to get it fixed so I’m not complaining about that but all that time wasted taking my car over there and waiting for them to do the job - I’m sure everyone knows what I’m taking about - just not cool.I took it to another tire place and they fixed it just like that with in 10 minutes.Needless to say I’ve never gone back to this place again.

Needed to get tire repaired but they couldnt do it because they only had one tech working and wanted to schedule apt for following week..

My family has used the Hwy 280 NTB for years. They’ve got good people working there that will treat you right. They’re not going to give you the runaround or try to rip you off. I recommend them as your go to for tires and car maintenance. Ask for Damien and he’ll make sure you are taken care of.

Shouts out to Shawn and Jordan they both rocked out for me. They fixed an issue that stemmed from a very bad interaction at the Gadsden hwy store. The corporate rep directed me to the 280 store, where Shawn went above and beyond to rectify the problem. If you need tires DO NOT go to the Gadsden Hwy location. Instead, just go ahead and go over to 280 where Shawn will take care your car care needs.

Fast, friendly and stellar service! My husband had a nail in his tire and they were able to get to him as soon as he drove up and took littlr to no time at all! This location will have my business again!!

My wife was traveling through Birmingham and has a TPMS light came on yesterday. She stopped by this location to get her air pressure checked before driving back home with our 4 kids. She was informed that it would be 45 minutes before air pressure could be checked. There were no cars in the bays; no customers in the lobby. I called today to find out the policy for air pressure checks before writing a review. I was informed that company policy is no air pressure checks will be performed until all cars being worked on are completed. This is disappointing. My wife went to a competitor (Discount Tire) and had an INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE.Don’t waste your time bothering this location with your business. Go down the road to someone who cares.

I can’t say enough positive things about this location! Brad and his team are absolutely phenomenal at what they do and at taking care of their people. I’ve never gone in the store and not had someone muster up something witty or inviting to say. Maybe I’m biased because I live, die and breathe the 280 NTB, but I seriously love these guys. They are the fastest service account I have ever seen (literally) and they truly work hard at what they do. Even when [life happens] and you feel like you’re in a batting cage facing a constant battle of dodging balls being fired at you, they seem to the make the day better!!!!

Bought 4 new tires for $800 less than 6 months ago. Wife had a nail in her tire. She took the car here and they wouldnt patch it and said she had to replace the whole tire unless she could find a place that patches tires... whatever that means? Went to the oil change place and had it patched for free. Never giving these guys any of my business again.

I have always had wonderful experiences at NTB, but today was above and beyond! All of the employees have always been friendly, explain things well, and do their best to not do anything that will cost me too much money. Today I got the pleasure to meet Larry and he is truly the best! I would recommend him to anyone who needs a service done on their vehicle! He made sure everything I needed was taken care of without charging me excessive and unnecessary prices for labor. If you’re lucky enough to talk with him, I am sure he will help you out quickly and without overcharging you, too!

I had an appointment at 10am. I arrived and they promptly took my truck to put on my mew tires. They said it would be about a hour to complete the work. They called in an hour an it as done. Good so far. Now I get there and pay for the work. I went to my truck and noticed a grease spot on the door handle. Because of the Corona virus I wipe the steering wheel. It was filthy. I was expecting them to take care of my truck. I was very disappointedl.

Outstanding. After arriving I was made aware that I had selected the incorrect wheel size for our vehicle while making the online appointment. While they only had two of the four tires I needed, they contacted another location and had the other two delivered. Highly professional, well run with a great sense of teamwork and a focus on the customer. This is so rare in any retail setting. Would highly recommend.

Went in to have a tire patched this morning. We had made an appointment as soon as they opened and they got us in right away. Such amazing service; everyone was outstandingly helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend for any of your tire/battery needs.

Had to visit here for an emergency tire patch, and they were super helpful and quick to get us back on the road.

More concerned with up selling than anything else with my experience. I went here because Walmart is closed and they were there least expensive for new tires. I will add they told me it would take an hour and a half for tires and an alignment, but it took less than an hour. Clean store.

Women beware!! They have small minds and will try to RIP you off! Tried to tell me I had 2 broken/bent axels. I later verified by certified mechanic that my axels was fine. My tires were just worn down on the inner side from a bent rim. Youd think being a tire place, they would see how worn down it was.

Needed a set of tires on a Sunday after teenage son popped two in an accident. Vincent and the staff took great care of me, getting all four swapped and realigned in a short period of time. Really appreciate their efforts on a Sunday.

I called in and told them what I needed and where I was spending wise and they gave me an exact quote over the phone. I came in and another person told me that what they had said was inaccurate 5min later but it was only 45 dollars more than was agreed on for a better tire. So I was still content. What I was upset about is that they told me over the phone that they were ready to service my tire needs now. That was a lie. It took 30 min to get my car in the shop and it’s now taken about 1 1/2 hrs to put 4 new tires on. Being raised in the tire industry I know that it only takes 45 to mount and dismount 4 tires and balance 4 tires and put them back on. I’m looking at my car still in mid air waiting to be serviced. I like NTB but I will not be coming back to this location. Apparently they ran an alignment check which I never asked them for and I’m glad it’s free but I didn’t want to waist that time. When my car begins to pull I’ll be back for an alignment. Thank you very much.

Great Customer Service! This was my rating from 2 years ago on this location & nothing has changed.I had a new experience today with this location, this one was very difficult & basically did not benefit NTB, but was a huge help to me. This is something they did not have to do, but keeping with the Great Service they put in the extra effort for me. Between Shaun Miller (who worked helping me past his time to leave) & Brad Tucker (Store Manager) went above & beyond to help a customer. They took a difficult situation without hesitation & made it work out. So I can tell you from several past experiences the management team at this location is second to none. They know there products & most importantly how to make the customer leave happy. Again thank you Brad & Shaun for your expert knowledge & Best Customer Service!!! I am a lifetime customer because of this kind of service!!

Trailer tire very low getting back into truck this morning ... they got us right in and back on way.... friendly and smart service. Highly recommend!!

I was getting my tires rotated and balanced. The employees were courteous and competent. I had an appointment and was 10 minutes late. I was in and out in approximately an hour.

A locking bolt was missing on my husbands tire. They did not notify us of this so when we returned about it they did say it was missing before we took our car there but agreed to pay to replace all 4 locking bolts. Tires are great and since they did not note the missing bolt at time of payment the manager did the right thing. Very happy with service.

Brian really went above and beyond for us. We were traveling through and ran into some car trouble. Even though it was a problem beyond the scope of what the shop could handle he still helped us diagnose the problem and find a place to take our vehicle. He even contacted a car rental place for us. Brian was amazing and we can’t thank him enough.

Awesome group of guys that were able to help us out during an emergency! Decent prices and quick service as well as hours that cannot be beat for those who are working.

I had a simple oil change that was supposed to take 30 to 45 minutes even with an appointment. I arrived before 2:30 (the time of my appointment) and I waited for over 2 hours for the oil change to be finished. I was also told that my battery was shot and I needed a new one which I knew was not true as I just had a good amount of work done on my car. Bad customer service and even poorer mechanic work. If you have any real problems with your car or are interested in quality service this is not the place to go.

They changed my fuel pump a couple of years ago and finished it on a Saturday night. It has worked great. They also flushed my coolant and changed my thermostat. They are very knowledgeable and I trust them with my vehicle.

Pleasant place. Bought 4 tires at good price. I had appointment at 3 done by 515. In out, no problem.

Although our initial experience with NTB wasnt top notch, They are doing all that they can to justify it. Hopefully all will be fixed within the next couple of weeks. I have appreciated the efficiency of their sales manager, John Cruse, and hope to continue to do business with him.

Crooks, cheats and liars to say the least. Im not sure why anyone would give them a good review unless they are friends, family or paid to do so. Not only has my family had a nightmare with this place but everyone we tell has had a similarly horrific experience or knows someone who has.

We purchased tires from NTB on 280. I had a slow leak in one so I brought it in to be checked (Oh yeah, I also had hit a curb). They told me that besides a nail in my tire, I needed new struts and brakes which would total $1, 700! I said just fix the tire and after waiting 2 1/2 hours left and took it to another Tire and Auto Repair Company that we know well. They said I just needed my tires aligned! My brakes and struts were fine!!! I am very relieved and very, very mad that they tried to swindle me! Dont EVER go to NTB!! I have shared this on Facebook and it is going viral. I only gave it one star because I could not post it unless I highlighted a star.

Service was fast going in, and the guy was knowedgable and helpful. Got all set up, and was optimistic. In the end, though, it took 2 hours to get 2 new tires. (Hence the 4 stars instead of 5).Learned a lesson - make an appointment. These take priority here, not people waiting. Oh, well.

Dont use them for suspension work or brakes. First, I bought their best brake pads and they scream loudly when braking on my Acura TL Type-S. When I brought it in for that (its yet unresolved too), they noticed the front tires were worn inside, and said it was because the bushings in the front control arms were shot, and I had to have new struts - $1400. I took it to another ASE-certified mechanic who explained how the bushings were a bit cracked but showed me how they dont wobble. He performed an alignment and indeed found it was off and that was the issue. Total cost $79. They almost took me for quite a ride!

I purchased 4 tires at NTB on Hwy 280 Birmingham, AL 3 weeks ago. After they installed the tires, the guy told me that I needed new struts and shocks on the back tires and they were Leaking and in real bad shape. I had taken my car to the Lexus dealer 2 months ago and they said everything was fine. I took the car back to the Lexus dealer today and they said my shocks and struts were just fine and in great shape. These people should not get away with this kind of fraud and deceit to anyone. Heads up to everyone, if they tell you you need something else done, get a second opinion. Chances are they are just trying to RIP you OFF. They are probably good for tires, but NOTHING else. I will be reporting this to the BBB of Birmingham.

We were having an issue with the front end vibrating on our vehicle. We took it to be evaluated at a dealership, and they told us we needed new tires. And we did, thats not in question. So, we came to NTB and spent over $500.00 on a set of new tires, with lifetime balance and rotation, etc. The problem was still there, so we went back to the dealership. This time, my wife had the tech take a ride with her. He said that it was a front end issue. To make a long story short, the car has been in the shop twice and received new axles, new hubs, spindles, etc. When we got it back yesterday, guess what? The vibration was still there. The tech said it had to be the tires. So....today we had the dealership balance the tires, and guess what again? THE NEW TIRES FROM NTB WERE NEVER BALNCED!!!!!!! The old weights were still on the rims, meaning that NTB simply mounted the new tires on the rims and slapped them on the car. NEVER NEVER NEVER will we set foot in this NTB store again, unless its to collect the $54.95 they should pay us to reimburse us for the balancing at the dealership WHICH WAS INCLUDED IN WHAT WE PAID FOR THE TIRES!!!!!!! What a ripoff joint.

The tires I purchased will not stay inflated, so i went by to inform the staff of the issues i was having but they ignored me and another customer standing in line like we were invisible. After about 15 min and them walking past us 3 times , i asked them where the people were that should be in the front assisting people walking in and the guy stated he was him. This is not even the worst part they werent able to help me , i have to schedule an appointment but i had to make it home so the guy put air in my tires but threw the top to the tire on the ground when he finished and walked back in the garage , i had to put it back on there myself. Its just a horrible place all around.

Marcus and the staff at this location are top notch. They know their product and they take care of their customer. After weeks of comparison shopping for new Michelin tires for my wifes car I found NTB had the lowest price. I first called a closer NTB store, but the person who took my call was rushy and dismissive and seemed unappreciative of my potential business. The people at the 4631 Highway 280 store were different. Everyone we met was courteous, professional and friendly and willing to answer any and all questions about our purchase. Thanks, guys. I dropped both of my cars off for simple oil changes at 9 oclock in the morning. I had back to back appointments. I left work at about 10 to go pick up my cars and they still had not gotten around to it. I was told MULTIPLE times that it would be done and dropped back off at my job before 3... and here we are at 3:20 pm... I am on hold with them. Wouldnt recommend them.

Sitting in the waiting room as I type and I have been here for over an hour for a OIL CHANGE that we made an APPOINTMENT for. Whats the point? Horrible customer service by the dude standing out front. (Open your mouth when you speak so I can understand what youre freaking saying!) Will NEVER be coming back here or referring them to any of my family or friends.ridiculous.

My oil change and tire rotation was faster than expected but they forgot the windshield washer fluid. Was told to drive around back to get it filled and the guy was filling it with water! I told him I dont want water in it and to stop. Wow!

I took my Nissan Versa for and oil change on 09/26/2018 at Ntb and I had quick fast efficient service . Shout out to Jacob for making sure everything was good before I left thank you so much I will be back for more services in due time.

I had to get a new battery today and an oil change. I took my car here because it’s close to my house but have avoided going here in the past because I thought they were overpriced. The person who helped me today changed my opinion of this place. He was so helpful and explained all of the charges. I’ll definitlry come back the next time I need something done because of him. Ive had multiple bad experiences when visiting this location of NTB. It started when I purchased two sets of tires for my two vehicles. The rims were scuffed by the mounting process, but I let that go.When making subsequent visits for the lifetime balance and rotation service, I opted to pay for the oil change on the vehicles. The oil pan plugs were stripped on each vehicle and the bolts put back in. A lug stud was broken on each of my vehicles by NTB. I was informed of one and it was replaced. My 2nd vehicles broken lug was hidden because there was enough thread at the end of the break to slightly tighten the nut.Upon going to an Express Oil change for the later oil changes, I found that both vehicles had the drain plugs stripped by NTB. Express Oil re-tapped and replaced the bolt on both at no charge. Express Oil also found the broken stud lug.I have had nothing but bad experiences with NTB.

I visited here when they were having a sale on tires and the staff was very helpful. I wound up buying the tires online from an online-only retailer as it was still cheaper than what they could offer, but if you want to buy local, I would stop in and see what they can do for you.

Two hours....for an oil change. 5 people working, and only two cars in the bays. Last time Im bringing my company car here.

Took my car to NTB on highway 280 for new brakes ,the brake light had just came on .They told me that i needed new rotars and Brakes, I agreed and signed to have the work done then i heard them tell someone one the phone the same thing it hit me that they must make commision or something . I asked for my keys and took it somwhere else .The repair shop where i had the work done told me that i only needed brakes just as i thought. Had NTB been truthful i would use them for all my car needs but because they tried to take advantage of me I will never spend a dime with them . And i will tell everyone that i know not to use them . Cheating aint cool!

I made an appointment yesterday to get an oil change done today. When I showed up, they didn’t have me on the schedule and informed me that they would not be able to fit me in today because they were too backed up. I will not be returning.

The NTB Birmingham divison manager, John Cruse, went extra mile and corrected a sales associate mis-quoted brake service. Appreciate his leadership and customer service.

Mid-road trip, my truck went out of alignment while driving. Shawn diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and got it back on the road quickly.

In the middle of a road trip we had an issue with a possible flat tire. The people there were very helpful and took care of us very quickly with no BS. It ended up being a very simple issue with our TPMS system and the tire being actually overfilled due to an inaccurate built-in gauge on the filler at a gas station that they helped us figure out and adjust for free. They even gave us a tire gauge so we could avoid the issue in the future.They seem like a very helpful and honest place, and for that Id recommend them.

Terrible experience. Brought new tires for my Toyota Sequoia and they overtightened the lug nuts causing them to swell. They had to be replaced for $100. Manager was rude and refused to rectify the problem. They are not aware of the need to use appropriate torque on certain lug nuts and do not care about customer satisfaction.

Was told that could not change oil without drilling out the oil plug. Also given a list of $1,200 worth of repairs needed, including belts that had been changed less than a year ago. I did not let them touch the car and my husband changed the oil that night without drilling out the plugs! Beware!!!

Needed an emergency brake and rotor repair on our way to the job this morning.This was the only place open at the time, so we stopped here.The estimate they gave us to do the job, which only cost just a little over $100 for parts, was over $500!We went just a little bit up the road to Auto zone got the parts and did the work ourselves for much less.

Like having opportunity to make appointment. Although even with appointment i was there 1 1/2 hours for routine oil change and tire rotation.

Decent pricing for oil change & tire rotation. Long wait time.
