This company use to be a very good company for automotive needs but they have become total ripoffs!!!!!!! They tell you all kinds of lies about whats wrong with your vehicle just to upcharge you on unnecessary fixes!!!! I will never patronize this company again!!!!

They have outstanding service, I had to have my mass airflow sensor replaced I was prepared to be there half of the day. By the time I sat down, got my tablet out they said your car is ready. I was there maybe 30 to 40 minutes max. They have outstanding service and my runs like new again.

Update: I was contacted by Luke after her reviewed the complaint. He offered to inspect my vehicle for free and told me I can take it somewhere else for repairs. My vehicle was towed to his shop because we drove it and it kept stalling out. My vehicle did crank. I Uber part time with my mom in this vehicle so my vehicle was running. My vehicle is not running at this time. I left his shop and drove up the street all lights on the dash board jumped on and I had to press the gas all the way down to inch up the street. My life was in danger because I was in ongoing traffic. He told me he knew I could drive my car back to the shop. He is not willing to repair my vehicle that they broke when they tried to repair the the fuel injection system. They caused more damage and I am requesting a refund since those technicians , he say is the best, do not have the ability to repair a simple repair. The pandemic cause companies to price gauge but to result to fraud and theft is insanity. He keep lying like I dont want him to repair my car when he do not know how to fix it.Original Complaint Christian Brother Automotive Trussville location just charged me $1574 for fuel pump, cleaned some trash out the filter and spark plugs. My vehicle was cranking however it will stall out. It ran good, I maintenance my vehicle and it had no problem. I picked my vehicle up at 7 am this morning and it is barely moving. All these lights are now on my dash and I had no lights on my dash. They told me they will not come pick it up and I can pay $100 tow, If I brought it back they will do another diagnoses and charge me for the repair... They have stolen my money. They get very smart and hang-up. As will like a refund.

Waiting area was very comfortable to sit in. The man at the front desk offered me and another guy beverages which was beyond anything i expected or what was required by them. They explained everything they were doing to my car and had me in and out fairly quickly. Will be going back for all future services.

They very friendly, efficient and highly skilled. Actually the intake associate figured out what was going on with my 2014 Infiniti QX60, randomly wouldnt start. He looked in the fuse box under the hood close to the drivers side dashboard and there was a disconnect. Plugged it in and problem solved. I didnt require a tech, so I didnt have to pay (AWESOME). Infiniti service center in Hoover, AL wanted to charge me $160 for diagnostic fees, I took my vehicle to Christian Brothers in Trussville and will take it to them from now on. Great job guys!

It was a good experience here. They fixed the issue I asked them to fix. It was relatively cheaper than the car dealership and it was done right. This is my second experience with them and both have have been good.

I had work done on my car a few months back. I was given a list of needed repairs with quotes. Repairs were done timely and excellent customer service getting my car back to me during the busy Christmas season. I dont normally give 5 stars but something told me CBA deserves them.

Understand I’m not automotive inclined but, I took my car to Christian Bros yesterday to see about getting a Break Light Bulb replaced. After he looked it up on the computer I was quoted $97.00. He informed me most of that cost was labor. I declined the service and went and bought the bulb myself for $8.26 after tax. After watching a 2:30 YouTube video I had the new bulb replaced in 20sec. I’m all for making $ but Jeez.

Friendly staff that got the job done right! They were just flat out amazing. When I walked inside the building I was great by 3 young men that made me feel so welcome. They listened to the problem I was having with my vehicle and told me about the diagnosis process. All my life I thought shops just hooked it up to a machine and fixed it but they showed me the value in the professionalism in the technicians ability to hand test the components in my car and fix it from there! They are very reasonable on prices considering the Nice Difference they give with repairs!! While I was waiting on my vehicle to get fixed a young gentleman gave me a ride home for free.... I was amazed at that kind gesture! He even ran me through the jacks drive through where I could pick up dinner for my wife and children. They are so helpful!! My second time coming here, both times they could fix my problems without a waiting a month! Had my brakes done last time and they did great! They get I freak out if I cant SEE my truck! This time its steering, going and stopping were great but turning was a problem. It wont be when I get it back! guys are nice and understand to wait till I explain what I hear, most others dont care because Im female! I do recommend them for auto work you can trust!

Great group of folks. I was greeted promptly, my vehicle was diagnosed and a repair and maintenance plan were laid out for me that was easy to understand. Only presented me with the repair I was in for and the recommended maintenance that was due on my vehicle (actually overdue). The price was more than fair and in no time they were done and my vehicle is performing like new. Thanks guys.

In this time of man having no natural affection for others, you get to a point of not knowing whom you can trust when you are out in the world. I trust Luke and his fine team at Christian Brothers Automotive Trussville. The have taken care of my car since they first opened this location, and I have never been disappointed. I recently took a truck there I was interested in purchasing and the detailed report they presented to me with colored photos was amazing. They told me everything good and what needed quick fix first and what to watch for down the road, and the cost of each repair. It was so well worth the money. I am confident that when I refer family and friends to them that they will be well treated and dealt with honestly.

They were upfront and honest about an issue with my car and completed the work quickly.

Do not take your vehicle to this shop. They are crooks. A typical diagnostic fee is $39.95-44.95.They wasted over $100 of supplies and forwarded the charge to the customer. Bad business.

Repaired steering column properly. Did a very quick job on my truck to install new ignition switch. These folks a very thorough and professional. They call you with updates and pictures of the work and issues. I would highly recommend all to give Christian Brothers Automotive a try.

I was RECOMMENDED by a close friend to bring my car here for service. They do a great job of selling you on the ASE certified technicians and warranty and quality of service. But the experience I had was totally different. The owner is a very arrogant individual who likes to try to talk over his customers and make accusations. I had to bring my truck back 3 times for the same issue. Wasted time and money that I ca. n never get back. I would not reccomend doing business at this establishment. You want to go where they value your business I didnt feel valued at all. I will never recommend this place to anyone. This was all turned around by a fine gentleman who made it his business to make sure I was treated fairly in the end. Jason went above and beyond to make up for lost time by not only fixing the issue but offering me a 2 year warranty to give me the piece of mind I needed to recommend this company. Fantastic use of technology keeps customer appraised of activity occurring to one’s vehicle, while in CB’s care; include pics of issues found during thorough, investigation phase. Patiently answered my questions, good pricing, timely service. Customer care included courier service! My only qualm was two new tires went on back end, where old ones were removed instead of putting them on front and rotating older tires to back, per my initial request. No big deal as they can rotate them during my next oil change😊

My alternator needed replacing which was covered under my Carmax warranty (they are authorized thru Carmax to perform warranty work). They found that my ball joints were leaking and contacted the warranty company to make sure they would cover that work as well at no expense to me. Great customer service!

I had to take my car in to be fixed a couple days ago, and even though it was a big job and my whole dash had to be taken out, among other things, it was ready to be picked back up the same day.From start to finish everyone there was so professional and kept me updated with what they had to do. They even sent me a text to let me know there was a technician looking over my car not long after I dropped it off. This place is awesome! The staff is all professional and friendly, the shop is state of the art, the waiting room is comfortable and you get free drinks and snacks. This place is a hidden gem if there were not shop doors you could drive past and miss the building it is so nice. A completely different take on the standard mechanic shop. This automotive business is a rip off it started I took my 2001 Toyota Highlander there to have a heater coil done the price went from 975.00 to 1100.00 my vehicle is still not fixed, my husband took his Toyota Tundra there, they said his wiring to his alternater was the problem, they charged 1374.00 for that he got home they did not put the clamps back on his radiator hose, they do not do what they say, they try to price gauge you, because they know you want your vehicle repaired, they need to take the name Christian out of the name of their business, because there way of treating customer is not Christ like.

I have not found a shop with the attention to detail to my car and to customer service like these guys provide. Every time we bring our cars in we are treated with the best care! They always make sure we understand what the problem is if there is one. And they make sure we understand what needs to be done to fix it. They look for the best solution to put the best part on the car with the best warranty for us. I would recommend this shop to everyone I can.

They were very rude to me, did not even say a word when I left a young dark haired guy took my money after I overpaid for checking my radiator ,charged 60something to check it I got it repaired somewhere else for two hundred less, I paid them for checking it, young dark haired guy gave me my change, I said thank you, the young rude guy at the register said nothing, no your welcome, no thank you, but was so focused on a man that had came in in scrubs, he must have thought he was a Doctor, he was totally nice to him, but horribly rude to me!!!They are the highest place around, every other business of this type is much cheaper!...Donna Acton

I came to Christian Brothers right before closing time for a battery. My car was having troubles starting and actually died in their parking lot. James, Michael, and Joe were great! They stayed about 20 minutes late to help me. I’ll definitely bring my business back to them.

My visit to Christian Brothers started out great. Until I went to pick up my car. when I got in my car to drive way. I looked up at my windshield and my UV protection had been ripe and torn. Which was where the old oil change sticker was. I pulled my car right up to the bay area. Got out of my car to let them know.I was greeted by the owner and mechanic. The mechanic was very apologetic! the owner basically all he was concerned about was who was lying. I went to Tint Pro as soon as I left which is were I had the UV and tint applied. Before I arrived Luke the owner had called them. after talking to the very professional people at Tint Pro. I stopped by Christian Brothers to pay them a complement on there services. I was greeted by Luke the owner stating he would only pay 150.00 to have the windshield repair. A nd again started wanting to find out how was lying myself or the mechanic. now I dont know about other people but I do not like being called a liar. I called after leaving and talked to Joe great guy. and I asked for a statement in writing to make sure he would pay for the repair. of course he said he was doing me a favor by paying the 150.00. which is really about half of what it will cost. And still wanted to talk about whom was lying. anyway theres more to say but I am stopping. not happy

When you first arrive and see how clean the shop is kept , I knew my car was in the hands of people that care about what they do. Good work, done by Good people.

Customer care is far beyond my expectations each time i visit. My vehicle is repaired or maintained correctly, quickly, and for a reasonabe price. They are the only ones i let take care of my vehicles.

I went to get my tires rotated and balanced (i really needed an oil change too) after speaking with Joe, I decided to go ahead and get an oil change too. He was so nice about adding additional stuff especially so close to closing. They stayed a few minutes after for me. It helped me out SO much. I cant say enough good things about this place! They also take pictures of things that need replaced etc. They showed me a picture of my rear brakes so I could see what he was referring to. Joe said I needed to get them replaced asap. So, I got them replaced (my husband did them) and he was definitely right!!! The brake pads were so thin. I definitely will be going back to them!

From the minute I walked in, the experience was much different than most auto repair shops..it was very clean, the staff was extremely helpful and the Christian music playing while I waited was very peaceful. When I left, they had left a bottled water and a nice thank you card on my dash. I was very happy with how fast I got my car back and I will definitely be taking my car back for all my automotive repairs and oil changes.

Called there to see if they could help me with a couple of things on my car that are very minor.Also called a little after 3 pm on a Friday afternoon so I gave them no notice. Very friendly on the phone they told me to bring it down.It got looked at almost immediately with everyone willing to help and all had great attitudes. I am very picky with this car and they treated it as if were their car.Got in and out quick with both items addressed and repaired and at a very reasonable price.I am beyond pleased with everything about this shop. Very clean too!I have 2 other cars in the family and one is due for service now so I’m going to get it in next week.You won’t be disappointed.

Very Expensive place!! But they are good!!

I took in my 2011 Ram 1500 for a head gasket repair. They completed the work in the time frame that was quoted and within the cost estimate. They were a little higher than other shops, but the warranty is well worth the incredibly small difference. They even drove me home after dropping off my vehicle which was 40 miles away! The young man that drove me home was professional and courteous and offered great conversation on the way home. The entire team was friendly and welcoming. I had a few minor issues after the main repair that were addressed promptly and professionally. I would highly recommend this shop for your repairs both minor and major!

Christian Brothers Automotive in Trussville is truly a great shop! I had an extremely difficult to diagnose issue with my truck, and instead of just throwing on some new parts that might have fixed it (and me spending a lot of unexcessary money that might not address the real issue), their excellent technician spent the time trying to find the root cause, which he was successful at. It ended up saving me thousands of dollars that nearly any other shop would have welcomed me to spend, all while not fixing the root cause. This was my first time using them, and all I can say is how great the experience was. And on top of how skilled the technicians were, the entire staff that I dealt with was very kind. The shop owner, Luke, was a great guy. I would highly recommend them for all your auto needs. I won’t be taking my trick anywhere else.

I cant say enough about Christian Brothers.They have been the reason Im still driving my 120,000 mile HHR. They can diagnose a problem while you wait. They greet me by my name. Who does that these days?

Of course they are super friendly and very quick but today’s experience just a prime example of price gouging.They quoted me $780 for a repair that the dealership could repair for $400 (o2 sensor). When I declined and explained suddenly the price drops to $403 plus the diagnosis.When I reviewed their invoice they still charged $326 for an o2 sensor that I could have and should have purchased at advance auto next door for $185. Additionally, if you quote $403 why did I end up getting charged for shop supplies? Shouldn’t that have been included in that quote?We actually really liked dealing with them and they have helped us before but obviously the almighty dollar has become more important to them than making customers happy.Will not return!UPDATE!While I realize in my last post that I swore I would never return, Luke sent a $200 store credit to me based on our last experience.This morning, I dropped off my 2013 Flex for an oil change. Within 10 minutes of dropping the truck off I received a text to inform me it was taken back for service. Within another 15 minutes, I received a text to inform me their courtesy inspection was complete. Overall we got an excellent vehicle report but needed a new battery (corrosion) and needed a tire rotation and alignment.After speaking with James, we went over any issues on the truck and he worked up a price for the needed repairs. After all was said and done, rotation, alignment, new battery and oil change cost only $224 which was lower than the original quote and all was complete in a matter of two hours.Great job Luke, James and the Christian Brothers Team. Thanks for honoring your word and taking care of us.

So I’m really just leaving this review to get in the drawing for the RTIC cooler. Because that will probably be the only good thing I will get out of my experience with Christian Brothers Automotive. A flat tire on I-59 and a AAA tow is what brought me into this place. I was greeted promptly by 3 people and without much of a wait was told my 1 tire would cost $229 with a long wait because they would have to go get the tire and they didn’t have the staff. None of which was explained when I called prior or before my vehicle was taken off the tow truck. I explained to them I had a spare tire and just didn’t have the tool to take it off. I had 3 people basically saying they didn’t want to work on our vehicle. Even as far as me to walk the tire off and carry it up the road to see if another shop would fix it. And yes they said to WALK up a major highway in Trussville with a tire to change. They finally said they would look for the tool, even adding they would look in the spare kit of a similar vehicle. After an hour plus of waiting I finally asked someone if they had any luck after I saw the vehicle lower and rise back up. He lifted he head from the computer screen long enough to tell me that they are searching high and low. When I told him the vehicle lowered and was raised back up he decided to go ask. He finally sent someone to tell me they didn’t have the tool, even though I watched and saw no one actually look for it. So I did some manipulation and got the spare tire down in which they promptly said they would help (never did). I then realized that there was something wrong with my spare tire. I come back inside to ask if someone would at least take a look. The same guy that would barely look up from the computer basically acted like I asked him to change the tire and that he couldn’t be bothered. He reluctantly came out, looked at the spare, gave my jack a turn, and said “Yep. Too small.” And then walked right back inside. So now after sitting here 2+ hours I finally got AAA to tow me somewhere else so I can actually get my tire fixed. But after 4+ hours of sitting in their lobby they “finally have the time” to take us up the street in their courtesy vehicle to get a tire. The same place I could “just walk too.” So no, I would not recommend this place. And I doubt I will be winning the cooler. But I believe the contest is a sham based on the service I got.

I put off getting my car repaired because I am new to the area and hate trying to find a good mechanic. When you are told a repair will be $1000, you want that to completely fix the problem...not play a guessing game of we will try this and that and...blah, blah. I took the car in, got the estimate, got the repair...and I am happy with the results. It wasnt cheap...but it was fixed.The staff is very friendly and made the experience much easier. I feel confident with this repair and plan to return if I have other issues.

Best experience ever! Was driving through Trussville when my car started making a strange noise. Brought my car to the shop and they diagnosed it and fixed the problem ASAP for super cheap. They offered to bring me somewhere but I was completely fine staying in their super clean and comfortable office. Their employees are so friendly! My car’s starter went out at work and I had to have my car towed. Originally had the destination set for Christian Brothers. I decided to have my ride drop me by so that I could get a ballpark figure from them on price. I was quoted 653.00 for a STARTER! I politely told them no. Took it across the street and it’s being done for almost 200.00 LESS!!! I really don’t think these guys expect people to shop around and think we’ll just pay whatever they think the price should be. The other quote was a bit high for me too, but a heck of a lot cheaper than Christian Brothers. Remember that YouTube can show you things about your exact make and model that you may not have otherwise known. Christian Brothers just weren’t very smooth about this con. Was referred by a friend who will not be going back anymore either. Please don’t ask me to reach out to you guys either. Not interested in excuses.(Edit October 2020)I have reevaluated my initial one star review. After hearing from a friend who had a very similar experience, I had to share. The difference is he didn’t know any better and paid an insane amount for a job that would’ve easily cost one third from a reputable company. It staggers me that they keep taking money from people who just don’t know anything about cars and aren’t able or willing to shop around. I stand by my one star, only because I’m not able to change it to zero stars. Make sure you check around other mechanics nearby, of which there are several.

Although ive heard great reviews, my experience was not. Came in with an issue, was given a price, ended up spending 2x my original quote for work i could have done in my driveway, but could not have my car back in driveable condition until i paid them to do it. I was also charged exponentially for a repair that i, along with others, would consider something that was on them. They are nice guys, but slick. And pricey, but they will tell you that upfront.

I purchased 4 tires and a front alignment on 2/21/2018 for my 2014 F150. James, my service writer gave me a great quote and got me scheduled in quickly. Romaldo was my service tech and he did a fantastic job with the tire change and alignment. My estimated completion time was 2-3 hours and it really took 7 hours. I understood they were short an employee and had trouble getting parts. I did appreciate them taking me and my girls home and picking us up when it was finished. My youngest daughter was still recovering from surgery so it was nice to have the option of waiting from home.

I was able to make an appointment when I needed new tires. I was offered my choice of water or coffee while I was waiting in the lobby. Everybody is always very friendly. There is never any pressure to do all the repairs that are needed. They go out of their way to make sure that you are satisfied.

When the AC stopped working in my car I took it to another repair shop in Trussville. I asked them to do a dignostic check. Sure they said for $59.99; no problem I said. They then came back to me and said I had no compressor fan belt, so we replaced that. This did not work, so they said I MIGHT need a new compressor and that this would cost $1300; to which I said no. Well, I was feeling very upset, because I could not afford to fix the whole compressor. I did a few searches and found Christian Brothers Automotive. They too said they could do a dignostic check for $59.95; no problem but I need to know exactly what the problem is I said. They told me after a few minutes that I probably only need a new belt and tensioner for $320, so I said OK. That fixed the problem completely! It only took a couple hours and I appreciate how they texted me at each step along the way (for example, your technician is starting to look at your car, your technician has all the parts he needs and is beginning to work on your car or your car is ready for pick up now). Finally, I also like the 3 years or 36,000 miles which ever comes last warranty.In conclusion, I am a big fan of Christian Brothers Automotive and will be a repeat customer. I would recommend them without question or hesitation.
