Had a very quick and easy 18,000 mile service at Jim Burke. My service advisor Jordan Cook was excellent! He kept me informed about progress of the service, and also found some hard to find touch up paint. All done in about an hour!

I have nothing but praises for Jim Burke Subaru Service Department. We recently purchased a used Subaru and brought it in to have it checked out. AJ is a jewel to this department. He went above and beyond to check it out, went over in detail the things that needed attention, and was all around so great to work with. We have taken our Hyundai Santa Fe to be serviced here in the past as well and had great experiences then too. You can tell the employees at the Jim Burke Hyundai/Subaru service center enjoy their job! Highly recommend this service center!

Brian Christopher is great. It made making the appointment easy. I was greeted and given to option to wait or get a ride. I waited for my car in the waiting area which was very comfortable. When my service was complete, Brian explain everything to me and asked if I had any questions.

The Subaru Ascent I bought a couple of years ago for roughly $40k has 27k miles on it. Go to get its free oil change and the tech tells me I need new tires. Says that new cars are only getting about 18-30k on first set of tires. Says if I dont buy the tires, the oil change wont be free.The tires are close to the wear indicator, but not quite there yet. I ask him how many miles to expect on replacement tires? 50k.So why didnt Burke/Subaru sell the car with those tires on it? Rhetorical question. Just another scam, like the $600 fuel system service they said Id need at 30,000 miles. Wont be going back to Burke for anything, not for service or repairs or when its time replace this car.

The air pressure is low in a tire warning light came on on my dashboard mid-afternoon while I was running errands today. I called the service department to tell them I was on my way. There was a nail in one of my tires. They also discovered that my front brake pads needed to be replaced. They took care of these two issues, and I was home before 6 PM. I appreciated the clean restroom and a comfortable place to wait until my car was ready. This service department treats me like family. They do what needs to be done to insure that I will stay safe on the road.

AJ my service tech should receive 5 stars! He was excellent and helpful and patiently answered everyone of my questions. The drop off and pick up was quick and easy. My only complaint would be the prices of the services were higher than other Subaru dealers from other areas, out of state. Car drives great.

We had engine lights come on while traveling. We stop at O Reilly and they really were helpless. Next we went to precision auto. Tommy was great they were not able to identify the codes so he sent us to Subaru You guys got us right in and replaced the faulty parts and hit us back on our way in about an hour! Fantastic service.

I brought my 2020 outback touring XT in for routine oil change and mentioned the brakes had a small vibration in it. Jordan Cook, my service representative, performed my routine maintenance and tried to service my rotors but had to end up replacing them. Everything was covered under warranty and done fast and in a very professional manner. Jordan is the best.

The shop itself was clean and appeared organized. I was there at 7a when they opened and there was a line of cars waiting to get in. The service advisors came out to the cars to check them in rather than waiting for the cars to advance, which I thought was good.I requested a 4 wheel alignment, and they had the work completed and called me about 2.5 hours later. (No appointment made)I was a bit bothered by the fact the service advisor was trying to do multiple things at once instead of taking a minute to make sure I didn’t have any questions (which I did, and it was eventually answered). Seems like the checkout process could be less chaotic, but I don’t know if it wasn’t just very busy that day.

I actually had the absolute worst experience at this Birmingham location that I’ve had in any car dealership I’ve ever set foot in (And I’ve been in over 20 in the last 3 weeks and one of them actually sold me a car infested with roaches..) I’d go back to that dealership 1,000,000 times before ever setting foot in this one again.I have a terrible situation that I’m going through with having to find a car quickly while still having some very vital concerns when it comes to financing and instead of supporting/educating me on the way that financing works with subarus bank vs. the one I originally banked with, the GM at this location was EXTREMELY rude, chauvinistic, and unnecessarily aggressive in his attempt to get me to finance through Subaru. I had very obvious concerns and he made me feel as small as he could possibly make me feel even though I reallllly wanted the car they were selling. If he would have shown even the smallest amount of decency and empathy, I may have been more warmed to the idea of using you guys to finance but again, he made me feel like I was an idiot for having the concerns that I had. Told me that I was “obviously paranoid”. I am a woman who has no family in this state and has had no good experiences with car dealerships to this point and he had the nerve to say that I was paranoid? I will NEVER buy from this location nor will I ever recommend anyone shop there either. It’s apparent that that man will only show respect to people who have thousands of dollars to throw at him for a car up front.

Eddie in the service department was rude condescending and dismissive of my concerns. I emailed the general manager and have never heard anything back from him. this tells me everything I need to know about this dealership.

My father, a loyal jim burke customer, 4 new subarus. My dad is now 85 and not mentally stable, went in yesterday to trade cars. My brother and I both called and spoke with a manager and explained our fathers eratic behavior. They did not ask either one of us to come to the dealership to help explain further his condition. Instead they hurriedly finished the paperwork process. When asked about a cooling off period. They stated that there is not one. So if you are elderly or have elderly parents, avoid this greed stricken dealership. I will be filing a complaint with subaru also. I am a 4 time subaru owner.

Was told I was approved for loan— put down majority of price for down payment and left with car (thinking I now owned it) Found out weeks later not only was the deal not finalized before me leaving but now they were having trouble getting the loan approved. By this time they had already cashed my check (shady and wrong) and asked me to have my employer lie to the bank to get me approved. Hours of my time wasted only to return the car. They also wanted to charge me 50 cents per mile now on the car since me leaving with it. Not only did I have time wasted I also had money spent on insurance and tag (not cheap) left for me to eat. I wouldn’t have left with the car had I known any of this especially not drive it for three weeks and travel. Please save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere. These guys are SKETCHY *would give zero stars if that was an option...

Best experience in my life buying a car. The GM Mike Jacks was completely up front and honest with me. There was no back and forth double speak like you get from a lot of car salesmen. My mother, a senior, has taken her car here for years. It has been mostly good service, until the past year. They have preformed work that did not need to be done and did not correct problems that she needed to have fixed. It has left her compromised with a car that does not work. I am disappointed to think that they would take advantage of the senior population, who might not be inclined to defend themselves in the face of bad service.

Was there at 7am to leave my car for 42,000mi service, oil change and tire rotation.Got a call at 9:15 and it was ready.Convenient to leave with them since they have drivers drop you off at work, as well as pick you back up and take you back tothe dealership.I’m not so sure about their tire prices though. I took my car in to get a new timing belt, assuming that they would replace the water pump (this has been a safe assumption on my part for over 20 years), but to my surprise they did not replace the water pump. They did not even ask before they had the car put back together. Now, just 18 months later I need a water pump. I think they just want people to have to come back to them twice for what should have been one repair. Twice the labor means twice the money for them, as they dont necessarily make money off of the parts. Im extremely frustrated with the Jim Burke Subaru service department and will never go there again. Ever. I suggest you all do the same. At least they were rude and tried to make me out as unreasonable for assuming the water pump would be replaced with the timing belt. Seriously...never go hereUPDATE-- This did, in fact, come up at the time I received the call that my car was ready, as well as at the time I picked up my vehicle. None of your people seemed to recognize that the water pump should have been replaced. This is when I decided to never again bring my car to your service center. Instead, I drive 2:30 away and have work done in Columbus, GA. My new shop was horrified that your shop didnt replace the water pump. All of my statements are accurate, fair, and very much valid.

I bought my first Subaru after driving a Beetle for the past 16 years. Never impressed with VW service, I expected the same at Subaru!!! Much to my delight, it was quite different! Everyone there was so friendly and listen to me about my car. They even had a precious young lady as a greeter. She was friendly and truly helpful. I wanted to walk over to the showroom from the service area and really wasnt sure which way to go. Shawna, the greeter, walked me all the way over. When I came back to the waiting room, she wanted to know if she can get me anything to drink or did I need anything or did I need to know where the restroom was. Most times I will have Eddy, and he does a fantastic job. However, this past experience was not great. I had Brian handle my service this time around. My father did some research and found that anything between $100-$199 of service (according to the Jim Burke website) could receive a $15 discount. Brian did not give me said discount despite me bringing it to his attention and my father emailing him the information. Brian then told me he never received said email. I am giving it two stars because Eddy alone allows it to have more than one. In my past experiences with Eddy, he has always found a way to give me or my father a discount for our services. We are happy Subaru owners and have been for 6 years. I hope that this is just a one time fluke of an experience.

One star removed 1) b/c we were told the advertised price was for customers who are financing; paying outright would cost more; and 2) for excessive calls & texts (initially), where it was unclear whom we’d be dealing with.
