Ive been meaning to write a review for quite a while as a result of my great service from Rodney Cooper. I handle getting my brothers charger, and my sister in laws Challenger service at Jim Burke, and have had Rodney to handle our serve needs now for about two years now. I do automotive services myself, and i am very hard to please! Rodney has been very instrumental in helping, and offering great service and exceptional prices on my brothers, and sister in laws cars! Keep up the good work Rodney!!

I was able to walk in for oil change and tire rotation instead of having to wait for an appointment. While waiting I was informed on the need to replace 2 filters and was shown the filters that needed to be replaced before doing it on their own and having a surprise charge. On top of that I waited a very short time for the car service.

I’ve been coming to this business since 2019. I’ve never really had a great experience but after my most recent experience, I refuse to go back. As a travel nurse who is always on the road, my main priority is to have a car in good condition which is why I bought a brand new car in 2019. I recently came on a Saturday for an high mileage oil change and to check my tires since my tire pressure light was on. Normally, I am waiting HOURS for my vehicle for an oil change, with all these different things that need to be fixed on the vehicle. On Saturday, I checked my vehicle in and it was ready in about 45 mins. I felt that it was very strange that my vehicle came out so quick so I questioned it. The maintenance guy who checked me in was very rude about me questioning my car. I asked him to bring out the technician that performed my oil changed and checked my tires, and he was also very rude about being questioned. The paper mentioned that my “fog lights were out” but no one replaced them? It seems as if they literally just took cars back and pushed them back out even quicker. I refuse to go back to this dealership for a car or for any car maintenance. Jim Burke has definitely lost a customer and I’ll make sure to tell other fellow nurses and doctors to not be a client there.

Quoted price of $298 to replace oil pressure switch.Received call after work done that the quote was incorrect. It should have been over $700.00.Replacement part at Auto zone cost $49.00. At Jim Burke its $190.00. $500 in labor for a 2 hour job. I dont think so. They honored the first quote. I dont like the fact that they tried to get a extra $400. Makes me wonder if this happens a lot to other customers.

Highly disappointed have to leave my car there for two weeks and the problem still happen again. They drove my car 50 miles and my gas tank was on half tank. My car had a little crack on my windshield and when I got my car returned to me the crack spread from the bottom until the top and my car. I ask did they see the crack and never got answer. Every time I go for maintenance I receive a run around about my car. They claimed my car needed $700 and plus work about every time I when for a oil change. It use to be a respectable company I don’t know if it’s the change of staff or management. But i would rather stay away from them and another car dealership.

Thanks Aubrey Whitt for making my second Burke experience less painful than my visit a year and a half ago. I appreciate your efforts towards getting me out of my previous vehicle. It NEVER functioned as it should have and Cam never tried to get me out of the vehicle and the service department always said that it was fine when I know it has an electrical problem. I will definitely come and see you when it is time to get another new vehicle. I will NEVER purchase another used vehicle from the used lot.

I was trying to get back home to Oklahoma, from a family reunion in Georgia. I began having engine problems just east of Birmingham. When I got to Birmingham I ask a police officer for directions to the nearest Jeep dealership and he told me how to get to you. The people at Jim Burke Chrysler Dodge Jeep were very friendly and helpful. They were able to fix my problem and had me back on the road in just a few hours. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing service.

Morris is as nice as he can be. However, nothing on my car was fixed. My car was there for 6 days. I was allegedly called once on the first day within hour or so to tell me what my issues were. Allegedly the same day I dropped it off which makes me further wonder how much was it actually looked at. Further the passenger door issue was whether it would lock or unlock electronically. It was returned to me with that issue “fixed”. However all anyone did was manually unlock it. It still doesn’t electronically lock or unlock. However I took to my normal mechanic who fixed the actuator in about an hour. My car or business will never return to your dealership. And I gave 2 stars only because Morris was a nice guy.

Court the service rep was very nice and professional but I was charged to remove my remote start and it WAS NOT the problem. I live 500 miles away and had to return to Birmingham to get the car after they told me it was repaired and I have only made it 259 miles and it is doing the same thing. CAR WAS NOT REPAIRED!!!!

Had a good purchase experience of a 2017 RAM pickup back in 2017. I have been taking my pickup truck there for “lifetime” free oil changes and wiper replacements since then. Last trip, Oil change was free but the lifetime wiper replacement had been cancelled, right at the first time I needed them changed. Small thing but not very honest on their part.

How do you say Great Service!!! Ill tell you in three words, Jim Burke Chrysler. The vehicle service department here is the absolute best. Unlike the Chrysler dealerships service departments in Tuscaloosa and Bessemer, they actually give you an appointment time, as opposed to the first come first served policy of the others. Seriously, that type of model may work well at fast food restaurants, but when it comes to getting your vehicle serviced it shouldnt be some sort of race. Also, did I mention Great Service! By that I mean GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! The folks in the service department are always courteous and professional and their dedication to their work clearly shows. When you bring your vehicle in they listen carefully to what you need done and then they get into gear. Post service they get with you to let you know precisely what was done, answer any questions that you may have, and to ensure you had a good experience. The way Jim Burke Chryslers service department does business is second to none and they make getting my vehicle serviced a real stress free pleasure.

Clarence was my salesman and he was great ! I mean from the day I inquired about a car all the way until the very end of the car buying process he was knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging. You know some car salesman push you into getting something you really don’t want or they try to get you to do what’s beneficial for them, but not Clarence. If you don’t have major issues with your car don’t come here. They will definitely get the job done but they will rip you off! I needed a new key fob they stated it will be $169 for the key fob and $74 for labor to program it, in all you are paying $234.That is ridiculous! Batteries plus has this same key fob for $115. And customer service? What customer service? They barely even acknowledge you, luckily I’m a straight to the point person and will just ask my question.

My experience was pretty good. I have 2 areas of improvement that I recommend:1) . I dropped my Jeep off Saturday morning and it wasnt ready until Tuesday evening. Next time Ill just drop it off on Monday since I dont think anything was done to it before then.2) . It wouldve been very nice to have seen my Jeep washed and at least vacuumed out. Thats the least Id think you could do after spending hundreds of dollars with you. That wouldve been a great first impression when I pick it up and kept me from giving 5 stars.However, Matt was great and have no complaints with the actual service and friendliness.Thanks!Gary

My husband and I bought a BEAUTIFUL 2019 Dodge Charger RT Scat Pack. The young man that helped us was very nice but things dragged on for about 3 1/2 hrs. But we agree that they gave us a good deal. For awhile they couldn’t find the extra key and manual that went with the car and my husband was wanting someone to take responsibility to make sure we received them.. I had an awful experience at another dealership. They had my car 5 days for fairly basic maintenance, never once called us and didn’t even do the work requested. Called Jim Burke they told me they could look at it the very next morning. Had it back that day, they checked everything out and didn’t charge me a thing since no work needed! Will go there from now on - and recommend them to anyone who asks!

Poor warranty service visit:-car not vacuumed for dirt brought in from their shop staff-car not given a quick wash for the dirt brought on its exterior from their shop-battery disconnected while service performed. Trunk not put back together neatly as everything just thrown back in (battery is in the trunk). Clock on radio not fixed due to power being off.-dirt in the engine bay from the work performed and grease on top of components in the engine.-they changed the oil as part of the service yet didnt put a simple oil change reminder on the inside of the windshield at the top as is the practice of any company that performs oil changes.Their sign on the wall in their drop off area advises that the customer will get back his/her vehicle cleaner than how it was dropped off - mine was worse. This dealership service dept. doesnt appear to do quality control on their work, which would be needed to ensure a vehicle is clean prior to return to the customer. Further how do I know quality control was done to ensure the actual work done on my vehicle was performed correctly - maybe they made it worse and I need to take it to another dealership to check the quality of their work?They did offer to come to my home and pick my vehicle up to take back to their shop to clean. Unfortunately I cant do this as would be without the car again during this process and I need to have use of it.I am extremely disappointed in their service department as I hold them to a higher standard as a dealership than other repair shops especially with the pledge of things they will do that is posted in their drop off area. As a result, in good conscience, I cant myself and cant recommend this dealership to friends, neighbors and coworkers to purchase a vehicle or get it serviced from them, based upon my poor experience.

I first went to the used truck lot where I encountered Anthony. He allowed me to test drive the truck I wanted and quoted the price of the truck at $34.588. I asked him to find out what the cash price of the truck would be and told him I would be back to get the truck the next day. I came back the next day and he hadnt found out the information and asked me to give him 30 minutes to asked his manager. Time is money so I asked him who his manager was. I spoke with his manager and he gave me a price of $38.988 I told him that was not what Anthony quoted me and Anthony told the manager he quoted that price I told him. The manager, had no pity and insisted that there was no room to drop the price. When I asked for the managers supervisor he stated he was it. It took the other guy (white male) to let me know how to contact corporate. I went to the new lot and encountered sales person Yvonne. She was very nice and went above and beyond to earn my business. She told me that Burke didnt do military discounts but they took $500.00 off the price making the price $38,488 before taxes and fees. Yvonne also told me that Burke does not fill up used vehicles. After she heard my conversation on the phone where the person I was conversing with pointed out that I was spending over $41,000 the least they could do was fill up the tank, I got the tank of gas. They only provided one key fob and a single key. When Yvonne first brought the vehicle over to the new car dealership it had two key fobs. Overall with the exception of Yvonne the service was less than desirable and extremely unprofessional. The first sales man didnt take me serious and even listed me as a lost customer. They did not want to sell me the vehicle.

When you pull up an employee should greet you as you get out AT you vehicle. I noticed every customer that pulled in had to get in front of someone at a “desk” before they were even acknowledged. Also, if the service is going to take a long time, I was there for over 2 hours for an oil change and rotation, someone should come to waiting room and give updates.Customer service should be a focus and it was not.

Jim Burke made sure I had gap insurance which helped me out after my insurance paid. Took truck in for airbag recalls. Enjoyed customer lobby while there. (Brought my breakfast). Nothing fancy but comfy chairs. Wait time on repairs was acceptable. Shop and lobby were clean. Only gripe is floor mat wasnt used in truck and had grease on my clean mat. Service writer Caffey cleaned the mess up from Service Tech. Only recommendation to dealer is use paper mats, keep service writers from having to scrub carpets.

I took my Outback in for its second and free, 12000K, service. It was bitterly cold outside. It was nice being able to drive right inside. Service included oil change and tire balance/rotation. As it did for the 6000K service it took two hours. That seems way long to me but at least I was prepared with a book, iPhone and headphones. They did tell me it would take two hours and I appreciated the honesty. The fairly small waiting area is not comfortable. The chairs werent made for sitting that long. They offered to take me home and pick me up which would have solved that issue but for the two hours I didnt see it as necessary. I might next time. Overall the service was just fine if a bit slow. But that waiting area needs a major update in comfort. Since this was only my second time there I wasnt clear on how I was to pay, get my keys and find my car when done. It would have been nice if they took the time to explain it at the start instead of assuming I knew which left me standing around when the car was done but unable to find the keys or the car.
