I went to see JD and Alex because somebody sideswiped my car and didn’t stop. There wasn’t any major damage besides paint but I was still worried. Alex took a look and was immediately able to help. My family has been going to them for years and we don’t go anywhere else!

I was in Birmingham for work. On the day I was leaving to head home, my car started acting up. The check engine light came on and it would not leave first gear. I took the car to the Chrysler dealership and was informed that it would be three or four days before they could even look at my car. I found Automotive and Truck Doctor on google and gave them a cal. Alex answered and said he could fix the problem that day. I took it there and it was done in a few hours. These guys are the best!

Got my car repaired here and they went above and beyond for me. They fixed everything for me at a very reasonable cost.Had to take it back a couple months later for a minor alignment issue and they covered everything without any issue. Great service at a fair price

This guy rebuilt my motor and offered a 90 day warranty. Motor locks up 30-45 days later and the guy tell me to get a lawyer. Do not never use this guy. He does shotty work and charged me almost $3000 and will not own up to it. I am calling my lawyer. Because the day after I got it back the transmission goes out and he said if the transmission shop said it was his fault he would fix it. Well they did find job weld allover the casing which I have pictures of and he did not own up to that either. So good luck JD

I’ve looked for years to find a place in Montgomery (much less anywhere) that takes care of your vehicle and that would be willing to work on my Isuzu Truck. I live in Montgomery and it is worth it to make the drive to Automotive and Truck Doctor in Birmingham. This place solved the problem no one could, my truck was throwing some arbitrary codes. It’s been a year and no problems! These people are awesome. They were all incredibly helpful, all of them know their cars. I would highly recommend this shop. They’re extremely honest, to the point where i trust them completely and will DEFINITELY be taking my trucks back when it needs more work done. 5 stars is too low. I just learned a ton about my truck in 10 minutes. They dont do anything unnecessary and they dont cost an arm and a leg. Thank you so much!

They were very professional and were very efficient in fixing my truck. They took the time to show me exactly what was wrong with my truck which saved me about $400. I will definitely use these guys again.

I took my car to get it fixed here cause my mechanic wasnt in town and I needed my car fast I had the codes and all so I new what my car needed. So they fixed the problem. But a few days later my check engine light turned on and it started making a very loud sound which it was my car oxygen sensor. They changed the original catalyst and put on old one and smaller. Never going back to this place. No wonder even the employees wont recommend them.

Nov 2020/SargeI have been going to Truck Doctor for over 10 years and always received excellent service. The last time I was there I had a problem with my 1972 240D Mercedes my brake light came on. It was my brake fluid reservoir sensors that was bad. They ordered me a new one that day and told me to come back the next day and they would put it on. I arrived that afternoon and my part was there, they took less than a hour to install it and I was on my way. I was pleased with the time it took and the price.

When i bought my used car, they repaired it professionally so i can drive it safely . It’s the only place Where i go to Make any repairs for my car. They are fast, and professional. I recommend them! The team is professional especially mr. Alex !

I have been coming here since I moved to the Birmingham area six years ago. The Automotive Doctor have fixed four of my vehicles. They are experts on Honda Accords. They always get the job done RIGHT, in a timely fashion, and for a FAIR PRICE. I recommend this business to family and friends whenever a trusted and competent mechanic is needed.

They do excellent work and have very affordable prices!!! The staff is very courteous and very accommodating!!!!

Shop was not open at time shown on their hours of operation. Techs were very rude and didn’t show any courtesy. Do not recommend.

Sent car in for electrical problem, never got an estimated time or cost from them, until they charge me a bulk of money and I had wasted so much time (>2 months). Seldom answered the phone or returned calls. Had to visit on site to get information, and they seemed to rush me out as soon as possible. It seemed to me that the owner thought I was an idiot. Misrepresented what they could actually do for my car, even though it was a very specific problem that can be foresee easily. It ended up as 1)three months for a small issue; 2)more expensive than what the dealer would have charged; 3)terrible service and a waste of energy.

By far the worst mechanics in town. Dropped off my truck to get a diagnostic test done, to get a call back saying they already did the work without letting me know what needed to be done. Had to get the police involved. Outright disgraceful. If I could give no stars I would.

The worst place to go for any of your car service needs. Very rude and unprofessional employees who only want to steal your money. The owner JD is one of the worst people on this planet. He advises work that does not need to be done to your car and will sell you non-genuine replacement parts that do not work. He follows by stating that he did not tell you so and so after you have given him his money for products that multiple professionals say will not work for your car. He makes you feel like a complete idiot and always rushes you out of store and never returns calls. Your car can sit here for months and you would never know what’s wrong with it. You have to drive back to the store in order for him to be rude and disrespectful. This place needs to be closed down due to the quality of work and service.

Happy it was a quick fix and a loaner car was provided at no cost.

Possibly the worst experience I have ever had with mechanics. I sent my car in since it was having some engine issues and they replaced my engine without my approval. They then told me it was $3000 and that I couldnt have my car back until paid in full. They kept my car for three months and I had to pay a daily parking fee for my car being there. I highly suggest you go to any other place, especially if you are a woman. I was mistreated and taken advantage of throughout the whole process.

I took my jeep there a few years back. I had a broken axle. I paid for the replacement of a new axle and come to find out. he got it used from pull-a-part. I will never go back or send anyone to him......EVER
