Nice place to shop, no pressure and great information.

Not bad. A little pricy and they dont do free estimates anymore. Say its because of covid. I should charge to have them come because of hoaxvid. So I would just go someplace else that wont try and make money off of anything with covid.

In mid November, 2017 I called Kitchen Hearth and Home to ask about service on my Hunter fireplace insert that was 19 yrs old as I was having an issued with the flame shutting down intermitingly after burning for 10minutes or so. I talked w Sue who indicated Hunter is no longer in business and if parts were needed, theyprobably could not be obtained. Sue indicated their technician could evaluate the problem and also clean the unit to see if improvement was possible as this would be least costly approach. We scheduled an appointment for the next week. Dan, the technician arrived as scheduled, was very courteous and began toevaluate the problem including measuring voltages at the electric valve. Found that our old remote control receiver unit was still hooked up and it was drawing the voltage down. He disconnected the unit and voltages held in the proper range. He proceeded to thoroughly clean the unit including the glass inside and out. The unit has been working well since we had the service.We could not be more pleased w the service we received. Dan the technician was most knowledgeable in his approach and the service was cost effective for us. We have trust and confidence in Kitchen, Hearth andHome and recommend it to others.Joe Z , Vestal, NY

10 Years ago the owner of this place tried to screw us over, use a bait and switch on one of the parts we DID NOT order, yet it came with the stove. it cost more and swiped it out for what we did order (but still tried the added cost) and claimed: I can charge you what ever I want to charge for what ever part I want. Was never on time with deliveries because gas went up that year and after charging us for a pellet delivery want us to come get the pellets. Now 10 years later we are having troubles with exhaust system. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Great pleasure to deal with. We shopped around for fireplaces and loved the Quadrafire 7100. They special ordered it for us with no hesitation or delay. They even asked if we had a coupon for Quadrafire and gladly accepted it! On top of the easy special order and coupon, because the unit we selected is a built in fireplace, it qualified for tax free through NY State capital improvement. They provided the paper we needed to fill out. Picking up our fireplace was a breeze as well.The only problem was Quadrafire was slow to ship the fireplace. (over 3 weeks) Would go back to Kitchen Home & Hearth for sure!

I spent alot of money on a pellet stove from them, a year and a half ago, and it has been such a pain in the a$$. Auger jammed up just after the year warranty was up. now at the beginning of its second burning season the ignitor is burned out. I called the store during a holiday and left a message that I needed pricing on a new part expecting they would return my call when they were available. I ended up calling them the next day only to find out the price for the ignitor was over $70. I look up the same part on ebay and find a new one for $30. I guess Kitchen hearth and home doesnt need my business.
