I cant recommend the Billings Tech Guys enough. Within 4 hours of my call, they were at my remote site picking up my dead laptop. 24 hours later, they delivered a new laptop complete with the files transferred from the old one. Every person I spoke to and met went above and beyond to meet my needs. Five stars for sure!

Purchased a new Dell computer and WiFi router. I recently picked up my computer after 8 months of almost no contact from this company. I was so impressed at first but then every time the front desk told me they would have the tech call me they never did. Not once in those 8 almost 9 months did anyone contact me about what was going on with my computer. I had to call weekly to find out that they “were working hard on it.” And even told me at one point they were putting decorative lights inside of it and that never showed up when I got the computer back. But when I picked it up they had cleaned it pretty well I will say, changed a couple of tubes for coolant and upgraded the radiator. They also locked me out of being able to save except through a “owner file.” Changed a few parts and called it good. I had asked for a cleaning, new parts to make it run cool at almost any temp outside of the case within reason, any upgrade to parts needed, to make sure that it everything ran correctly and to add Bluetooth capabilities. It also came back with the radiator fluid only half full so now my computer is overheating every time I try just about any game. This came with a limit of $2500 at the most. They stayed below $2000, but did very little that I asked. I recently left a message saying I was ok with the service, but had a few questions and asked if my tech Brandon would contact me back. I have yet to receive that phone call and would not take my computer back in fear of reprisal from the techs for my bad review. This is not a fake review you can ask me anytime to confirm who I am and show pictures of my computer. I would not recommend your computer to this place unless you use a laptop that takes an hour to work on. Sad too such high hopes for this place as they were telling me they would do exactly what I wanted.

I had brought my older mid 2012 MAC pro in for some upgrades. I had purchased parts from an online retailer for MAC parts to upgrade my graphics card to metal version. They were very professional, respectful and communicated well. It ended up that they were unable to install the card, however not their fault. It simply was not compatible. Despite them not being able to upgrade, I was still very thankful that they communicated the issues to me, were patient and did their best, taking extra time to at least try and solve the issue. They apologized profusely even though it really was not their fault. Kindness goes such a long ways these days! I would definitely take my computer back if i had a need. Great bunch of guys here! Highly recommend.

Room with computer needed work so I decided to do basic maintenance on computer. Went through hell and three weeks later I am worse off than before I started. Monitor didnt work properly after service. Not there fault but doing updates may have made my USB Hubs incompatible causing startup issues. Three trips to Billings and my issues may not have been resolved but at least I know my computer is good. Now having trouble with monitor color but it is usable. At some point a person can only throw so much money at the problem before it might be better to purchase a new system. If I knew it was going to be this much hassle I would never have done maintenance.

I just dropped my laptop off this morning at 10am to factory reset and a get a fresh installation of Windows 10. They called me 2 hours later to come pick it up! Farin you did an amazing job! Best money I ever spent! You have no idea how happy I was to see the windows login and not Linux!! So very satisfied!!

I found out my computer as broken and I called Billings Tech Guys. Makayla was more than happy to come out to my car so I didnt have to risk going inside. She called me a let me know my computer was not able to be repaired. She came prepared with the option to buy another computer for a great price and get all my information brought over to the new one. Billings Tech Guys has saved the day with my computer! They also saved me a lot of money with a discounted information transfer for buying the computer with them.

Brought in two devices. First was an iPhone 8 to have port replaced, as it had trouble transferring data via cable to computer (would connect but would not complete transfers.) Phone was otherwise perfectly functioning in every way. Was notified phone was ready a few hours later, but they were unable to fix the problem. Pick up phone and am told the port is now completely dead, does not charge or show any connectivity. Also sounds like something is internally loose. Rattles terribly when vibrating, did not have this problem prior. Charged $50 to make this phone worse. Nice, well hope the next job goes better... it did not.Second device we brought in was a laptop, with a dead cooling fan. Showed them which fan was inop. Start up screen said fan was inop. Waited about a week or so without hearing from them, so I called to ask about its status. Told me they were just about to start on it and would call me back that afternoon. Called me shortly after to tell me they were unable to source a new fan. Charged me $50 to tell me this.Day after picking it up I opened it up myself, removed fan, ordered replacement fan for $40.I always prefer to support local businesses, but based on our experience I can not recommend this place. However I do hope others have better luck if they decide to go here.Edit: Forgot to mention, while taking the computer apart myself to repair, it was missing 3 screws holding the i/o cover portion, and 2 screws into the bottom cover have damaged threads and were extremely difficult to remove.

After working from home for several months, the screen on my MacBook Pro broke. As weeks went by, it progressively got worse, and I assumed the issue wouldnt be repairable and would I have to buy a new laptop. Just to confirm, I called Billings Tech Guys, and Tanner was able to fix my screen in a timely manner and for a reasonable price. Now, you cant even tell there was ever a problem, and my computer looks brand new!

Tanner was so incredibly amazing! I am one of those not so tech savvy persons and had a hard time deciding what I needed or wanted to get me efficient on a home computer and laptop for my non profit organization that would also include some work and personal needs. He was so patient with me as it took literally months to part with my other computers which were running very inefficiently and with old programs. I thought for sure I’d have to send my phone in and get a refurbished in place of it. But the tech guys had me fixed up within that same day!! Like new again! They’ve also placed screensavers on my iPhone and Apple Watch and I’ve never had any issues moving forward. With such good experiences, I decided to have them mount my smart TV on my living room wall. They took time to make sure that it was perfectly aligned and secure. They even hid the cords so that it looked a lot more tidy! Recently I went back in to visit with them about security systems. They gave me all the information that I was looking for in order to make a confident decision and will even do the install!! Couple of great guys, and they will always have my business!

Are you guys able to anaylze cell phone audio? As far as tuning out background noises and tuning up others? And pin point where they came from? If so how much does it cost and when can you get it done?

Worth the money, I was having desktop issues and was convicted I needed a new motherboard. The folks at Billings Tech Guys were able to fix my problem without replacing parts. Good service is hard to find but they have it. Oh and maybe some day they will get my name right when they text. . . Guys, my name is not Stan.

I had a bad experience here about six months ago. I wasn’t going to post anything about it until a friend said they had a similar problem.My old laptop was struggling - the battery wasn’t working so it had to stay plugged in all the time, and it would randomly shut down altogether. I really liked it though, so I didn’t want to replace it if it wasn’t necessary. One day the screen blinked off and never came back.I took it in here (based largely on the good Yelp reviews) and went to pick it up the next day. There was a note saying the screen had gone bad and needed to be replaced - for more than half the original cost of the whole computer.I study AI. Although I’m a software person, I’m not completely ignorant of hardware, and this set off a few red flags. I had described the power issues leading up to the shutdown and none of those were addressed in the diagnostic. I asked about the diagnostic process and no one there could tell me what had actually been done.I started stepping them through a very basic troubleshooting procedure and they still couldn’t answer any questions. Did you examine the power source and connections? Dunno. Did you connect the computer to an external monitor to see if it ran then? No, but we can try. Nope still doesn’t even boot up. Well, then maybe it’s not a problem with the screen, maybe it’s a problem with the electrical system LIKE I SAID YESTERDAY.The icing on the cake was the attitude from the girl behind the counter like I was ruining her day by insisting they do their job correctly. She finally called they guy who did the work and asked him (I kid you not) “did you do you do this job right? Okay, that’s what I told her”Turns to me, “He says he did it right.”Oh, well, if he says so, it must be true.She then told me she’d be charging me extra for having to look at it twice. Now, I’m not one to lose my temper, but I was certainly having to take deep breaths to stay calm.At this point, one of the guys stepped in and offered to look at the connections. 20 minutes and a few snide comments about how dusty the inside of my (5yo sealed-shell) laptop was, he told me the power connection to the motherboard was degraded beyond repair, and replacing it would be more than the laptop was worth. He put the harddrive in a static insulating bag and that was it.So they were capable of doing the job right, they just hadn’t bothered.After telling a friend about this absurd experience, he called, and the manager admitted I shouldn’t have been charged but made no offer to refund my fee.TLDR: they took one glance at my computer, didn’t listen to anything I said about the problem, dashed off a superficial diagnosis without taking 30 seconds to do a confirmation test, and charged me $55 for 10 seconds of “work” - counting on me to be too ignorant to realize I’d been scammed.Then treated me like I was being unreasonable 🙄

Broke my screen on an iPhone 7 Plus and my home button and fingerprint still worked perfectly fine. Brought my phone in to get repaired and they fixed my screen (which they said would be done in an hour which took actually almost 2 hours cause they got distracted on someone else’s phone and left mine) but ended up breaking my home button and fingerprint sensor, they gave me a discount which was cool I guess, but I still paid $90 for a fixed screen but I’m gonna end up still have to pay over double of what they gave me back to get my home button repaired.. they said my home button would still work just not my fingerprint which still didn’t make me happy but I was okay with it, got out to my car and started the phone and my home button didn’t work at all. Owners were out of town at the time as well so I’m just at a loss of what to do or how they could even help

I was locked out of my phone with a super sick daughter and went in and saw Tanner and he was able to unlock my phone in two seconds- amazingly polite and helpful!!! Will come back for any of my computer or phone needs
