This Barnes and Noble book store is one of the corner stones of the Billings shopping scene, it has the largest selection of books in town available for purchase and has the customer service and knowledge base youve come to expect from a Barnes and Noble experience.The staff is always happy to assist you and are all clearly avid readers. The staff is large enough that they have a wide coverage in knowledge base and are always eager to help you find what you need!

I generally find what Im looking for here, unfortunately I did not on this particular visit. The associate did offer to order it however I was extremely emotional that day. She was great, thank you and I apologize if I was curt.

Barnes & Noble has a great selection of books, whether it be Non-Fiction, Fiction, or even Manga. My friends and I go here to browse the selection, and we often buy at least one item. They also have D&D sets along with other games. Barnes & Noble is very inviting and has a great atmosphere. Overall, 9/10 factoring selection, cleanliness, and service.

My daughter ordered a book at the store then when she went to exchange it for the one she asked for in the first place they where going to charge extra for shipping then when she returned it to the store they charged her to restock it when it was there mistake to begin with. Kinda lame. We wanted to support a brick and morter but will order for online from now on

Used to be great. Now the employees are by far the most unfriendly and rude people in any store in this town. Such a bummer. Used to enjoy the atmosphere and selection. Now the only thing you will hear is “wear your mask properly” instead of “can I help you find a book, or is there a particular game you wanted to know about?”. I guess it’s Amazon for me now.

Stopped at Starbucks there to have a coffee and do a little work while waiting for another client. Nowhere to plug in my computer or cellphone. Coffee was good, but I wont be back because of that..

Was there shortly, went straight to customer service and asked about a book and they said they didnt have it. Looked around for about 10 min before leaving the cashier gal was nice and asked if I found what I was looking for. I said no, you guys dont have the book Im looking for but insisted on looking it up for me anyways so I was like cool, okay. After looking the book up for me she was snotty/rude and directed me back to customer service. I told her, I was already at customer service. So then I just left. Maybe you shouldnt try to help and get rude if that was CUSTOMER SERVICES JOB. Thanks for literally nothing and wasting my time. I found it funny that the sign posted when you walk in says Please dont be rude to the staff that work there but it was the other way around.

Just an awesome place to shop. Would love a bigger selection of cartoon books. Everyone needs a good laugh during the pandemic.

Staff is typically helpful. Coffee is usually top notch. The only disappointment is the new layout and the smaller variety of books on hand. Such as the Stephine Plum series by Janet Evanovich. They didnt have one book available. I would have had to order it.

Was told there was no shopping bags when I asked for one to put my purchase in. But I could buy a Barnes and Noble tote bag for a fee.

Great staff! They always go above and beyond when helping you find a book. The B&N rewards program is wonderful as well. Lots of coupons for use at the coffee bar and discounts on new releases.

I was just in this weekend, and they have a fabulous display of new fiction on one side and new nonfiction on another side. Those books are easy to see and select from. I love it! Worth the trip to see and hopefully purchase!

The Cafe here is a great place to chill out. Good coffee, treats and goodies, today I warmed up with some potato and bacon soup, plus I grabbed this crazy piñata toy, a V-day gift for my little one. 😀

I would probably have rated my experience worse today if I was not trying to be somewhat reasonable. I was able to get what I needed today but, had I not needed the Sparks notes today for my son, I would have turned around before walking in. As I approached the store I saw an sloppily hand written sign in front of the entrance telling patrons MASK ARE REQUIRED and that they would be TOLD TO LEAVE if they were not wearing a mask. Might have been better worded by saying that they would be Asked to leave I understand the mask mandate and was prepared to wear my mask but there is far better wording to request people wear their masks! VERY unprofessional and not very welcoming. Im afraid I will likely not be returning to Barnes & Noble anytime soon.

While hurrying to the bathroom with my 4yr old son I informed the worker who approached me that I was unable to wear a mask... when we came out of the bathroom she was waiting in the entrance to the bathroom area and violated social distancing to inform me that if I dont comply with their mandatory requirements I would be unable to remain in their store and would need to use online option only (which doesnt allow me to preview books with my children or explore the stage area) so I informed my son we would need to locate the rest of the family because we had to leave..... she proceeded to follow me until the tracking was handed off to who im assuming was a manager because after locating my husband and 1 1/2 yr old the new woman who also violated social distancing to tell me she was aware I was already asked to leave was going to call the police if I didnt comply with their mask policy or leave... I still had to find our teenage son and daughter so I told her she could keep asking till I left or call the police... she called the police... then they even followed me to my car and took pictures of myself and my children... I waited in the car for the police to arrive he was super nice and informed me im not allowed to return to that store for 1yr and 1d.... the harassment seems unnecessary since I was attempting to find my family and leave

I am a fan of books stores and Barnes and Noble. I found this location to need some work. Many books on the discount shelves had no price and when I asked an employee she stated she didnt know and walked away. I felt the prices were higher than I have seen in other locations as well.

You are going to find what you are looking for here. Its also all about shopping for a book that you can flip through the pages before buying. Its the real life experience versus the online choice. Plus a nice little sandwich and coffee shop to sit in and enjoy your purchase. Covid-19 be damned!!!

Want it to be higher. But dont like the new layout and trying to find the books I wanted was not happening. But barnes and noble does have a large selection.

I guess I am not welcoming in the Barnes & Noble Cafe because I am homeless. Today I went into buy some hot chocolate and the tall man that works in the Cafe started talking to one of the mangers about me. I over heard him. Dont judge people until you walk in someone shoes. It is cold and snowing. I am paying customer.

Great books with a super large selection. But the store it self is very poor lit with more than half of the light fixtures burnt out or flickering, making it feel very dinghy and uncomfortable.

My daughter was thrilled to see such a large bookstore. 5 stars for friendly staff. I just wish they had better pricing....full retail price is a tough pill to swallow with online competition like Amazon.

I always love going to Barnes and Noble..The one in Billings has such friendly and helpful staff...They went totally out of their way to find a book that I wanted...They were also very good at keeping everything safe during the Pandemic....

My great nephew is getting a new sibling, I thought a book about getting a new sibling would help him understand when the baby would arrive. Love the variety of books they carry. I didnt give 5 stars because it was obvious they thought I was going to steal something. Would have loved it if they came up to us, to ask if I needed help. Luckily, my best friend, found what we were looking for. I didnt let the situation ruin my day.

Decent selection. Due to privatized, corporate censorship, many subjects are sparsely represented in the store.

Safe bright and friendly service. If they dont have a certain book they say so instead of encouraging you to waste time searching the whole.store in vain.

I get overwhelmed because I want to look at everything. Really, the only bookstore in Billings anymore unless you want used books (and Im not saying thats a bad thing - we frequent used bookstores).

I ordered a book from them online because they did not have it in store. It was two weeks late and poorly packaged. The book’s pages fell apart as I was reading it so I took it into the Billings store (with my receipt) where they refused to exchange it. You could see how far I had read and look at how the pages fell out while reading. Very disappointed.

Lots of books and coffee! Also they sell these 3d crystal puzzles that are fun to put together. They come in different skill levels as well. I would recommend starting on level 1 til you get the hang of how they go together.

Great place to find anything from your typical reading books to activity books such as coloring and dot to dot along with a pretty good selection of childrens toys. The staff is wonderful...so friendly and willing to help. One of our favorite stores in town!

Its barnes and noble. Youll pay full price for virtually everything, anything even 20% will be treated like a massive price cut, etc.The selection is great though, you can sit and read/skim/compare stuff, they have a lot of board games, toys, collectibles/trinkets.

Barns & Nobel I know is a big corporation, because so its definitely missing rare or intriguing somewhat controversial books. Amazon is burning books, I hope Barnes & Noble doesnt either. The staff is amazing, talented and friendly. The locations is handy, the Starbucks there is great too.

I love going into this Barnes & Noble. Its always nice to be able to hold a book in your hands kind of look at the picture, read the jacket and see if its something you mesh with. Nothing beats a nice clean bookstore. The employees are always very helpful and they approach you asking hey are you finding everything alright and I find a pleasant experience there, not annoying, just pleasant to know somebody cares that youre looking around and if youre finding everything okay. Hopefully electronic books dont kill the bookstore completely but I know theres enough of people like me who like a physical in hand object and like to support businesses in their area.

Walked in to get a coffee and was told masks were required in the store. Looking around I saw 2 employees without masks and 3 customers! Asked why I was required and not the others and she just replied sorry. 🙄

Terrific to stop in and get a coffee and a book. Really good selection! The staff picks and recommendations are really good. Love the selection of puzzles especially the 3 dimensional ones! Staff is always friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Childrens section is amazing with great selection of books and related toys. Learning toys are really fun!

Great customer service. Every time I go I pick up more and more books. I love it!

The local store is great, however; the cancelling process is horrible when ordering online and picking up in store. For example, I ordered a board game online and decided 1 day later that I wanted to cancel the order. I called the 1800 number as well as the local store and was told there was no way to cancel the order, I was to wait until the 5 pick up days had lapsed and the order would automatically be cancelled. Another option was to pick up the item and then immediately return it. It just seems so counterproductive and quite ridiculous to have to jump through so many hoops just to cancel a stupid order.

Great place to shop for books. Or order what you want.

The staff are very friendly and are a great help when looking for items. They have a lot of fun games on hand as well. The day we went they had a game demonstration. They gave away all of the pieces, boards, etc. to the kids that participated. Verycool of them!
