I purchased about $450 in window trim products. When I reported the products to the cashier he put the wrong code in the computer and I was charged an extra $130. Luckily the guy who checked the order exiting the parking lot identified the mistake. I returned to the cashier and received a refund but no apology. This system is problematic and unprofessional. The person cutting the wood in the shed should provide a receipt with bar codes that correctly identifies product picked up in the shed that can be scanned by the cashier. It really is simple. Not sure why they havent put these systems in place. When mistakes are made provide an apology. It goes a long way into defusing customer dissatisfaction.

Excellent alternative to big box stores. Exceedingly better then either Home Depot or Lowes for expensive selection of hardware. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Great selection, but the lumber is significantly more than Home Depot or Lowes and the service is lacking. They need better systems in place than having me tell the inside clerk the lumber I selected, go outside to have it checked, and then being sent back inside because I was charged too much. It shouldnt be complicated and is just a waste of time. The PT boards I got were also not consistent lengths and slightly off.

First time here was a good experience. Paul was helpful and knowledgeable in assisting me choose the right lumber for a home project.

The pinnacle of terrible service. Tried hard to do business with them first to buy deck boards and then to buy some lumber. Difficult to get people on the phone, when you do get someone on the phone you get transferred around. Got a call back from someone days later who made promises to follow up and never did. Ended up going to home depot to get what I needed, which is ironic; I was willing to pay more for local and delivered high quality product, but 2 out of 2 times - no nada.

My new happy place. Came in for some lumber, left with some tools and supplies that I couldnt find elsewhere. I also asked questions up in the showroom about storm doors, patio doors and cabinets. Zero pressure and helpful sales staff - even got a same-day appointment to come back to figure out kitchen cabinet options.For the homeowner/weekend warrior/hobbyist, the self service lumberyard can be intimidating. Be prepared to drive in and load up your lumber yourself. Ask for prices in the store first and pay outside in the tent once youre loaded up and ready to go.

Only place in MA or NH that had the type of wood privacy lattice I was looking for

Typical rough construction worker employees, but friendly if you dont waste their time. Its fetch your own materials out in the back openwall buildings, so watch out for the pigeon poop!

Great Place Way better than Home Depot

Another great local hardware store that has survived the horrible big hardware store due to their great service. The staff at Moynihan is always friendly and always willing to help you out. What I do like about them is that they are not afraid to tell you that you are wrong and tell you a better way to do something but they always do it in a friendly professional way. They are definitely there for all your lumber needs.

As a Registered Architect, I would not recommend Moynihans Showroom to any future clients. A client went in for a simple counter top replacement. The price came back so high, I started to make some calls around. We later found out the price was more than 30% of many other stone cutters in the area. I was shocked that the sales staff would not have shopped around the pricing so their customers could get the best value and pricing. Additionally, I believe a second stone was needed, for a matter of inches, but not layout drawing was ever submitted. Instead of asking us the question, could this island be 2 inches smaller they simply added another sheet to the contract. All around, very unimpressed with their knowledge of the construction industry. Lesson learned for me, sales at Moynihans should not be confused with industry professional who understand economy, and value related to the construction industry.

Great lumber product, good hardware, doors and windows, terrific selection of Brosco Millwork product. Good tool selection, easy access for loading lumber.

Not very helpful at all. If they do manage to answer their business phone, they then transfer you to a line that no one is answering. You leave a detailed message and then no body calls you back. Then when you try back again, the same thing happens all over again. And to book, I then get disconnected.
