They sold my step dad soil that was soaked to 3 times the weight of the soil. Cost 30$ for the 1 bag. When I called and asked if they could simply replace it with another bag the girl on the phone told me it wouldnt make a difference and they wouldnt give me another bag. Didnt even take the time to look at the pallet. She said she talked to some guy who works in the yard and he said it wouldnt make a difference I guess. When Im paying over 30$ for Premium products I expect the store to at least try to keep their products in decent shape. All the kids who work here really shouldnt. They dont help anyone out and make things more difficult than it has to be. I literally came here 3 times because website said they had this premium soil. I went there and was told they dont I had to literally go online order it to pick it up. 3 times I went there told they dont have it then Id go online says 57 in stock Id call and they would be like oh maybe it was in a wrong spot ect.. worst customer service Ive experienced in a long time..

Second time in the Beverly location in the last two weeks. Emily helped me both times in the paint Department with questions and picking out the right products for my Cafe in Danvers, Rebel coffee and Creamery. I had excellent service the first time so I went back the second time and again outstanding service. Hard to find good service these days! I look forward to giving her all my business in the future.

The old fashioned hardware store with helpful folks around to answer questions is no more -- at least not at this store. The kids who work there know little or nothing and have to call for help no matter the question. The older folks who are in charge are quick to tell you they are just too busy to answer questions other than where some product is located. I literally was told to come back in winter if I wanted a repair -- and all I asked was whether they even do such repairs. Yes, it is a weekend and it seems the entire town needs something. But the lack of courtesy and dismissiveness made me wonder whether the big box stores are a better option. No more shop local for me when it comes to Aubuchon....

Quick visit for one item. None left on shelf, but floor person searched the stock room and located the item for me.

I’ve always loved the mom and pop feeling stores. This is one of them as a hardware store. When I was there I had a question about a product. The person didn’t know but immediately called over her radio to a specific person with the knowledge to assist me. That person was very knowledgeable and was able to assist.Thank you Aubuchon Beverly. Aubuchon Ipswich Ma and Meredith NH are also stores that have also helped me in the past with excellent customer service.

Staff goes out of their way to assist. Well-stocked store with garden section. Good “loyalty points” program for contractors to earn money toward future purchases. Wonderful alternative to big box stores. OPEN SUNDAYS!

I recently visited the hardware store just to pick up soil. I initially asked for organic soil which I had gotten there on previous occasions. The sales woman was very friendly and called to check to see if there was any left. They were out of organic soil which was not a big surprise to me given that the season of planting is pretty much over. I asked the sales woman if they had any other soil and she told me they were out of all soil. she told me I could check the aisle to see if there was some potting soil available. I ended up checking outside and there were several bags of potting soil still available, no organic but still bags that were serviceable for my intended purpose. I gave four stars because I have been going to the store for a very long time and for the most part everyone has been very helpful and friendly. In the past, the only negative experience has been at check out where they have not really been all that helpful or friendly. On this visit, the checkout person was very friendly and helpful. I did not give five stars because had I not checked I would’ve left without my soil. I do not believe this was the checkout person’s error, but rather that she was unaware because thy sheet that she was relying on indicated there was none left. Also, I was given a seven dollar in-store coupon which was only good for the weekend and I could not utilize that because I have my infant grandson on the weekends and he is too young to wear a mask so I do not take him anywhere where he might be exposed. I think they could have made the coupon available for a more extended period. Thank you for your great service!

Aubuchon is a staple for me. I can always depend on them to have what I need, and their online orders are easy, and they are ready fast. Everyone I have dealt with at Aubuchon is always very helpful and nice too. They have been amazing through this pandemic as well. I have used several times recently for both curbside pickup and in store shopping. I feel perfectly safe going into the store -- it is clean, eveyone wears masks, and surfaces are sanitized. employees are helpful and pleasant. Aubuchon is my go to store for lots of items.

I brought in a piece of siding to the paint counter to match the color. It wasn’t on the paint charts and after several attempts they got it. I brought the paint home and it was dead on. Great customer service that you don’t get in a box store.

Very helpful. The manager Michelle was beyond helpful, kind, and patient. My fiancée and I moved. We had no idea what to get for sanding and painting and shelving. We came in twice within a few days. Everyone who helped us were extremely welcoming and informative!Best experience at a hardware store. And I’m not a huge fan of going. They talked to us, not at us. It was a great experience

Always incredibly helpful. I lost my husband a year ago, and I have taken on all these chores that I am not that familiar with. I can bring a piece or picture or try to explain to them and they always go out of their way to help me. A wonderful neighborhood hardware store!

Great place to get the things the larger hardware stores dont carry. I finally got the size small work gloves I needed. They also are cheaper in prices I noticed for most things but not the larger items. The people working there make this place a great place to go to as well. Friendly and very nice :)

Not as good as the True Value (Dawsons) that was there before. Their tools seem cheaply made (not the known brands, just the house brand. Master Mechanic tools (the True Value brand) were better. The people there are top-notch; a lot of them were working at Dawsons.

A great local hardware store. They have everything you need to maintain your household and survive the brutal northeastern winters. The staff here are excellent, very informative and they support all the local employees affected by government shutdowns or whatever shenanigans are being had. I cant recommend this place enough!

Aubuchons has been a lifesaver on so many occasions! Household emergencies, teacher prep needs, great items for browsing. I love that they are open late until 7:00 on more than just one day. Staff continues to be super friendly, knowledgeable and offer great advice and alternatives!

I went to Aubuchon to get two chain saw chains sharpened. But I noticed I forgot my wallet while at the service counter. I also planned to buy a new chain and confirmed with the service rep that I had found the right one. So back home to get my wallet and when I got back in about ten minutes my used chains were sharpened. Thats service!!

Walked in with a defective lawnmower and a frown. Came out with a new one and a happy face. They handled situation perfectly. I thank them and will make my next yard equipment purchase there !

Closing up and girls walking out the door when I pleaded , oh, just one little thing. A headlamp bulb! The one girl was very accommodating stating she saw one register with still open and want me to look bulbs in the automotive section. Been there before as well and each time theyve been very helpful. The entire staff.

Please work to cheer up cashier Paulette. Her attitude during check out made me think I was a bother. Sorry, I usually do not complain. The store overall was great. The last minutes with her at check out, were not so great!

Aubuchon has a department that does repairs! I love it. They replaced my tool handle and did an excellent job, even sealed it with epoxy. Im very satisfied. And Im happy to know I have a place to bring my small items for repair in the future. What a service! Thank you, Aubuchon.

Aubuchon on Enon St is a terrific old-school hardware store. The only thing missing is creeky wooden floors. The staff is terrific. This particular Aubuchon benefits from having retained many of the staff from Dawsons, the previous proprietor at this location. But, frankly, the entire team - new or old - provide a level of customer service thats hard to beat. These folks know a lot about what they sell - not just what shelf its on like in some of the home center stores. Product quality is excellent.

I love Aubuchon Hardware store there are many hardware store in Beverly but this is my favorite one it has it all you need it they have it and the the people who work there are so nice I wouldnt recommend any other hardware store then this one .

Very friendly and fast service

This place is well-stocked and well-run. The prices are just slightly higher than the big stores - about what the difference in gas money would be for most small trips. They take care of lots of little things like cutting glass, etc. The paint department is particularly first rate - very knowledgeable and good products.

I called them to ask about batteries and described what I wanted to the person (a woman) who answered the phone. She was impatient with me, did not listen to my request and very abruptly and officiously said they did not have phone batteries. I then told her again what I wanted and she told me to wait and then came back and equally abruptly told me that she did not have those batteries. I thanked her for being so helpful and rang off. I will not be going there again.
