We had springs break on our garage door. Our garage door is 16 x 7 and very, very heavy and couldnt be opened by hand.Called North Shore Overhead Door and left a voicemail late morning. I received a call back from the owner within two hours and one of their service reps was at our house early that afternoon and replaced the springs.The owner asked me a series of questions to determine the spring was actually broken and that the service rep would have the right springs to complete the job. The service rep was knowledgeable, friendly, answered our questions and made quick work of the broken springs.Great service from this business!!

Chris provides quality service at an affordable price. He’s repaired our system twice. Both times, once we called him, he worked us into his schedule and repaired our garage door on the same day.

I needed to add another remote transmitter to the unit that came with the house but its directions did not work. I contacted the installer that originally put it in but he suggested I talk to Chris from North Shore Overhead door who he highly recommended and he was right. I talked the owner Chris and without hesitating he tried to walk me through the process but I got the same result. At that point Chris shared with me that trying different approaches close to but not exactly worded that way in the instructions sometimes works and to give it a try that may save the cost of replacing some hardware. He even gave me his personal cell number if needed. It worked. Now I highly recommend his company for anyone that wants to talk to a great guy that puts his current or future customers ahead of just selling them something first.

Chris was a true professional who gave me advice on many levels. I was unaware that many people will push you towards doors with less insulation because they can offer them for a cheaper price without explaining what you are getting for the difference. Our condominium in Melrose had an older noisy door opener. The distraction and annoyance was too much. We spoke to Chris and Matt and they installed a new Liftmaster unit on our Condominium door, and despite that it goes up and down 100 times a day, you do not hear it at all!! Ordered loops with overnight shipping and they did not ship because they said I did not specify the color of glue, which I was never prompted to do. I did not get contacted until the next day, when I was supposed to receive the order which held up my entire project. When I called to ask why the RUDE gentleman said youre the one who made the mistake, dont blame us. Lousy customer service, will never order from this company again and do not recommend anyone else to either.
