The grandkids were entertained and even the dog was welcomed while waiting for the repairs! I tried to keep the dog in the stroller, but she kept jumping out....they seemed to be okay with her, she was quiet and clean.

I personally feel like they dont know what theyre doing. They gave me the diagnostics of what was wrong and wanted to charge way too much for a $35 part which would take 10-15 minutes to fix. I switched all that and it didnt even fix the problem. I had to take my vehicle somewhere else to get it checked out and had no problem going somewhere else. They (not Ace Auto Repair) got it figured out and fixed for me and let me know every step of the way what everything cost, what needed to be fixed and way more professional!

I stopped in to give my car a little tune-up before a weekend trip. All I planned on doing was an oil-change, and maybe some brake-pads, if they were that bad. Dustin and Nikki were pretty awesome, personable people that do give you redolence of a qualified, family-setting. Ace Auto did not upsell, whatsoever. The only thing that was unexpected, albeit extremely necessary, was a wheel-bearing service. Due to my negligence and circumstances I did not have time to look into the issue, pricing, repairs and other specifics, so I agreed to have them perform the service. Not only did they give me a price that was lower than the average statistics of parts and labor, Dustin came in early the following morning to make sure I got my car back as soon as possible for my trip. I drove 900 miles in two days without issue. They also gave me a loaner while my car was being worked on, which I found really unexpected, yet incredibly convenient. Im not being biased. I am not an employee, or family-member. I am just some person that needed work on my car, last-minute, and inquired to Ace Auto, expecting average results (despite an already well-established portfolio). I absolutely hated spending hundreds of dollars, but I am glad that the money is now invested in preserving Ace Autos infrastructure, because with their current practices, they deserve nothing but the best.

The first thing that will catch your eye about Ace Auto Doctor is they ride with you to hear the noise the vehicle is making. The do not treat you with disrespect while you are explaining your issue. They give you written estimates with fair prices. They have a 2 year warranty on labor as most auto repair places have 1 year. Our last visit was to cost that was quoted and the cost when we received the final bill was different. My husband told them when we arrived and they made it right. They did not need lots of proof and long talks with. They also let us know our 10 yr old van had a recall and how to handle it. Well done Ace Auto Doctor! We will be back :)

I went to this shop after I got a quote from Subaru, who gave me a crazy repair suggestions and high cost. Ace Auto looked into the issues and gave me a very reasonable solution and cost. I left my vehicle and they got the job done the following day. They even gave me a $100 off discount which was good. Afterwards, they even asked me to come up and do a check up. I had a great experience and I have high confidence on this shop. For sure I will rely on them for me Subaru. Nice work Ace Auto folks.

I started going to Ace because it was close to my employer and they offered to drop me off/ pick me up from work. Since then I’ve taken a different job but I continue to go to Ace because I know I can trust them! They provide a free loaner vehicle so I can maintain my daily schedule. Ace will never “up-sell” you like other places. Instead, they will prioritize repairs and give you an idea of what is coming up next so you can budget accordingly.

After 6 visits to different auto shops where I paid over $3000 for an issue with my car starting that never actually solved it, I went to Ace. They actually listened to me and how I described the ‘symptoms’ of the starting issue. The problem they found was what I had suspected the whole time so I appreciated them listening to me and not assuming it was the ignition house, starter, alternator etc. My car has been starting every time and running perfectly! I waited a few months to do a review to be sure the issue was resolved! Thank you!!!

Ace was able to diagnose my car issues quickly and gave me honest answers to what the issues were and what my courses of action could be. They were looking out for my best interest, not theirs. They can be trusted to be honest with you!

Very uncomfortable with serives

I called Ace auto to see if they could take a look at my sons 2013 Scion tC. His manual transmissions input shaft bearing was bad. I told the owner over the phone what the issue was, and asked if he could change it. He said he could take a look at it. I had the car towed there hoping not to do any more damage to the transmission. He asked for my cell number which is absolutely normal considering I was at work.What I wasn’t aware of, because I wasn’t told, was they were going to do a full inspection on the vehicle.A couple hours later I got a text from Ace Auto Doctor showing everything that was inspected. Shocks, breaks, spark plugs, ignition, tires, oil, battery, turn signals, lights, drive belts, cooling fan, cooling system, exhaust system, suspension, steering, minor dents and scratches, fuel injection system, etc.Then I was told of all the things I should replace. The list was long.Nothing about the issue with the transmission.So, I called him. I was told over the phone after being told to not freak out, that it would cost $5500 to replace the manual transmission with a used, not refurbished transmission. Also, I might need a new flywheel and clutch. That would add $700.I replaced the engine in my 2013 Honda Odyssey for $4200 three years prior. My father replaced his automatic transmission in his 2010 Dodge 2500 diesel with a brand new one at the Dodge dealership for $7000.Before I could have the car towed to a different garage I had to settle up $32 for the inspection I never asked for. I was insulted three times by this garage. I would stay clear of this garage. When a business has a sign on there front counter selling payment plans, you should stay clear.I had the car towed to a transmission shop and it cost $4100. They replaced the transmission with a refurbished one. Not a used one. A used one doesn’t come with a warranty. A refurbished transmission does.

Went there for an oil change because my regular shop couldnt get me in for three days. I found a listing for Ace Auto Doctor online. They were able to fit me in the same day. The waiting room, while not fancy, was clean and there is a play area for children. A nice touch.They inspected my truck and emailed an inspection report to me. They also did not try and sell me on additional services I did not need. I was in and out in under an hour.The price was very fair. I think I got more value than the cost of the service. Very happy. Ill definitely keep these guys in my contacts for times when my primary service center cant get me in in a timely manner.

I had two bad experience there. I had an appointment for an oil change, tire rotation and cabin filter replacement. I asked how long when I dropped it off and I was told about an hour. I went for a walk and came back in 1.5 hours. They told me it would be just a little longer. 1/2 hour later I asked again. I was told the mechanic was having trouble with the cabin filter. 1/2 hour later my car still was not done. Just a little longer he is resetting the dashboard warnings 15 minutes later I have to ask again, Oh, he is done. I get in the car and it says I need oil and filter change so he did not reset the warnings. Who knows if the other work got done.On another car after a brake inspection I was told I needed brake work to prevent damage to the rotors. I got the work done. Three months later the calipers locked up while my daughter was driving the car three hours from home. The mechanic who worked on it said the rotors were ruined. He blamed the previous maintenance. When I went back to Ace they told me they would look into it. When I called back they said they werent going to do anything because I had no proof they were at fault. The reason I had no proof was because I had to get the brakes fixed so my daughter could get home.I will not do business with Ace again

I was on my way from Wisconsin to Kansas for a wedding when my car broke down in Iowa. Where I know zero people. Fortunately, AAA got me a tow truck and an appointment right away with Ace Auto Doctor and Repair. They were incredibly professional, called right away to confirm the appointment and that they would have someone ready when I came in. They did a thorough check on my car, identified problems that needed to be repaired, and took care of the problem without costing an arm and a leg. When they understood that I was not only from out of town but still had a long way to go, they pulled a second mechanic to work on my car so they could get me on my way as soon as possible. I cant recommend them highly enough!

My overall experience was fantastic. I took my Mini Cooper into Ace in the morning, and in less than 3 hours they had figured out what was wrong, got the parts for it, and fixed it with more than enough time left for me to get to work on time. They were very friendly and didnt try to sell me extra services that I didnt need. I watched them deal with many customers while I was waiting on my car, and they were very polite and honest to every one of them as well. I am very satisfied with my experience, and I plan on taking my car here again for future repairs.

Took my Honda Ridgeline in for 150,000 mile checkup. Gave them the list that the dealer gave me. Not all of it was needed. Very conscious not to waste my dime. They made a couple of other good suggestions and I took them. Glad I did. Will come back again and I highly recommend.

Our car would not start after stopping at a rest area on a family trip. AAA sent us to Ace. We are not from the Quad Cities and I had no knowledge of area repair shops. The service manager from Ace called us promptly after the initial inspection. Very professional and thorough. All made sense to me, and I am mechanically challenged. I wouldnt take my EURO to these guys. They rip you off!! My BMW techs in Chicago priced a radiator hose for under $100 installed. Not home techs. Professionals. Ace is trying to charge me $230 for the exact same thing. You are a fool to service your automobile at Aces in Bettendorf, IA. I also believe Lance is toxic to the team. Most the people are nice and respectful, however, Lance is not even in the same place. Wheres my price match? I can give you the phone number to the Chicago certified BMW shop that three different highly-qualified techs quoted. All the same.

Charged my A/C system at the beginning of the summer instead of fixing the broken line that was the actual problem. Shortys Auto immediately fixed the issue for less than the A/C charge at Ace.

These guys went above and beyond during my oil change today. They were fast, friendly and informative. They even pointed out a potential engine problem, and told me that it should be under warranty and Ill need to go to a GMC dealer for repairs.

I had been pricing brakes and rotors when I called Aces. Id never heard of them before, but they were very helpful on the phone. They wouldnt give me an estimate on the phone (which made me nervous), but offered a free inspection. They got me in right away, and when they confirmed the problem, they came back $100 cheaper than the guys that had the sale.I had my kids with me, and they had a nice play area. They said they could get the work done in about an hour. Spot on! As I sat and waited, I listened to their customer service. One customer was angry in general, and she was handled very professionally. Another customer was clueless but the staff took the time to explain the repairs and even explained the bill very thoroughly.They are a small family business, they put their pride in their work and it shows. Having never been aware of this shop before today, I know Ill be back. There is not a lot of pride or customer service left in this world, but I believe in sharing it when I find it. This is one of the good ones.**UPDATE** Every time I bring my vehicle here, I am pleasantly surprised. On the first visit, they came in under the quote, which was half of what other companies were charging. Today I brought my care in, expecting a major system replacement, and we even discussed it. It turned out to be a simple flush issue. They could have easily snowballed me into replacing it. They let you know what needs to be done, and what you can get away with when money is tight. I would recommend this shop to anyone!

We went here for a pre purchase inspection on short notice. I couldnt believe the quality of the inspection which included a great form with pictures of each component checked, engine codes and explanations of potential issues all emailed to me and explained onsite. And for free! We took the car back afterward because of how impressed we were with the service and quality. They then exceeded our expectations again. They sent pictures of things and communicated every step of the repair process as they dug I to our engine and other issues. Lance and Mike were outstanding, informational and sympathetic. The waiting room was clean and kid friendly. I cannot say enough on how much this shop exceeded expectations. Best repair shop I have ever been to in 20 years! You are not going to find necessarily the cheapest service but you will get MORE than what you pay for. FANTASTIC FANTASTIC FANTASTIC! We will continue to drive 20 minutes across town to this establishment. They have absolutely won our business.

I was recommended to have my vehicle serviced at Ace. I couldnt be more happy with the service we received. I was called as soon as the tow truck delivered my vehicle to let me know it arrived. I was then told what their next steps would be and how everything would be handled. I then received a phone call as promised within 2 hours explaining what the problem was with the vehicle. They fixed the problem and I had my vehicle back that same day. I feel like they were honest and only fixed the needed problem and did not charge me for work that did not need to be done. I will definitely be a returning customer!!!

Ace kept us informed throughout the process. They stopped work at one time to specifically check if something would be covered under warranty (so we wouldnt have to pay them to do work we could get done for free).Turned out the problem wasnt under warranty so we had them fix it. Only been a day but it seems fixed.Only complaint is they did have our car longer than a full day. This was our first time with them so not sure if they were just busy or what.Overall, great service, we will go back.

I moved to the area a couple of years ago and these guys took GREAT care of my ailing, abused Nissan Maxima. When I finally replaced it, I took my new vehicle to them right away to warn me of any problems!Courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. Definitely highly recommended!

Extremely over priced! They wanted to charge me $649 to replace my starter! I thought they were joking! No, they were serious. Im no mechanic, but I thought that was little high. I decided to call around. The very first place I called quoted me at half the price! $329 parts and labor. I Googled auto shops in the QC and called the first one that popped up so its not like that was the cheapest one I could find. I probably could have found cheaper. I have an 08 Nissan Altima so I knew it wasnt that complicated to replace the starter. When I called back to tell them I would be coming to pick up my car and that I thought they were over charging me the employee laughed at me. Which I did not take too kindly to… This shop prays on people who dont have any mechanic knowledge and dont know any better.

What a difference service and attitude makes! They have a very clear process of communication about your vehicle and they really care! Ive taken my Jeep into the dealer for years and wish I hadnt. I would reccomend you try them as there is a reason they score so high on reviews. Check them out and you will see.

They suggested the wrong bolt for my caliber bracke. Bolt size is 10.9. He suggested a 8.8 house bolt stop it thats no safety there.

Ace Auto did an estimate on my vehicle and they did a thorough look at the problem and pinpoint the issue. Aaron was really nice as well as his staff members, and gave me a car loaner just so they can evaluate my SUV. Thank you guys so much and will definitely recommend them to others.

Well, I never spoke with you so I would tell you the same thing.Clearly you were not confused because you knew exactly which customer I was. Digging to the bottom of the barrel because you dont what else to say I would presume. No worries this lets me explain my horrible experience even further because it has continued to get worse.First of all… Ace Auto did not even put all the parts back in my car. Im missing part of my air intake tube. Thats a pretty rookie mistake- not putting all the parts back in the car. They also neglected to put all of the covers back where they belong. They were just laying on the floor board when I went to pick up my car. $114 just for diagnostic you would think they could at least put all of MY CAR PARTS BACK IN THE CAR and where they go. Today is Saturday and the shop is closed, so I cant even go pick up MY part. Also, when I went to pick up my vehicle with a tow truck the windows were down and it was left unlocked in the parking lot. Way to go Ace Auto! Glad you kept the contents of my car safe while it was at your shop.Overall absolutely horrible experience! I have told this story to several people already and I will continue to so. Your attempt to discredit my complaint was unprofessional. The other issue with my car was a fuse, which cost me $11. I said I would purchase this part from the shop because they had to order it. The shop was supposed to call me when the part came in. They never did. I called at the end of the day it was supposed to arrive. They claimed they called and left a message. They did not. And then they said the part that got delivered was incorrect and they would have the part first thing in the morning. I took my car there on Tuesday morning, picked it up Wednesday morning, and didnt get the fuse until Friday. Your brand new starter that you quoted me for came a with a 2 year warranty on parts and labor. The starter I bought from AutoZone for $128 come with a lifetime warranty. Ummm, Ill take the lifetime warranty, thanks.Yes, my boyfriend put the starter in our car. We wanted to pay someone else to do it because he didnt have time. Which is a service and I was more than prepared to pay for that service, but definitely not at that price. I would have gladly paid $329 to the other shop, but by this time I already knew what it would take to replace the fuse and the starter myself. Which wasnt much at all. Took less than and hour and Im not a mechanic. Ace quoted me 2 hours of labor at $120 an hour. Someone that is a professional should be able to do in half the time that I did.Your comments about price match just goes to show you take advantage of people. Like I said before, this shop prays on people that dont know any better. They got upset because I was not a naive female and they were unsuccessful in their attempt to pull one over on me.Here is a tip… When I called and questioned the price- you shouldnt have laughed at me and you should have given me straight answers. I had to repeat my questions several times in order to get a straight answer. It was almost like I was talking to a politician.
