Well informed knowledgeable Staff, The owner Joe always take his time to talk about fly fishing techniques, how the fishing conditions are whats good flies to apply. Rayan as well has a plethora knowledge to pass on. Store is very clean and both men and women clothing departments are meticulously well kept. They will help with on line orders and receive them if you want to save shipping costs and such. Nice little free parking on side of store for Orvis Customer is a added convenience in a cluttered traffic area.

Sadly, this shop is poorly managed. A few years back, I took a reel in for inspection. I got it after a week and they stated in was working well! I just opened the reel to clean before my trip, and it was full of sand! I have unfortunately lost my trust in the Bethesda store’s abilities to perform simple tasks! The Tyson’s store is much better!!!

Excellent customer service! Wonderfully convenient off street parking.Immediate welcome and direction to Trent, an experienced fly fisherman eager to share knowledge. He focused on my equipment needs and did not try to sell me the top of the line gear. I had my purchase the next day. Very professional. Orvis Bethesda will certainly have my future business.

The store looks deceptively small from the outside but don’t be fooled... it runs deep, as does the depth of knowledge and attention to the customer. A great experience, all ‘round.

They have free parking on the side of the strip for Orvis. The store was nice and the staff seemed competent.
