Easy returns! The associate was nice enough to process my return although he wasnt covering the desk! I didnt have to wait!Annnddd I love thats it walking distance from me especially given that Amazon is my primary store for everything.

I was very happy to see a bookstore back in the neighborhood… although it is very small and it does not sell any academic books 📚… but I appreciate the opportunity to be able to checkout some new Amazon on-line products in store. I have come to this location a few times to return items I purchased on Amazon. Each time I come the staff are welcoming and helpful. Returning the items was super easy. Even if you havent done the pre-return steps on your app they will explain how here. The store feels very much like an updated Borders, selling both books and tech devices with clean lines displays.

I was so excited to learn there was an Amazon Books store in Bethesda, I had to go immediately! 🤓The staff is super friendly and helpful.The selection is very limited, but the fact that the store even exists is reason to celebrate! 💃(The only minus is that the windows are super dirty. 😏 Kinda hard to see in.)

While missing the old Barnes and Noble, I thought I entered Bizzarro world. There it was... the same store but Im the opposite corner. (It even had the same statue as you enter). Good prices, selection and excellent display of Alexa like electronics that look much cooler in person. Great place to browse. Dont tell Amazon you can buy books online these days. Glad its here.

I came in to buy one book and left with two bags full of new treasures to read and enjoy as I learn more about nutrition, cooking, growing vegetables at home, and composting. The books are all highly rated on Amazon, so there seems to be good choices everywhere and I feel optimistic about my chances of reading material that other people are also currently enjoying. If were reading some of the same books, then were enjoying new opportunities to talk about the same book from multiple points of view! My tastes in reading are sufficiently eclectic to often leave me struggling to find commonly accessible topics for conversations about literature.

You have to know what youre getting into. Its not a super thorough bookstore like Books-A-Million or Barnes & Noble, and its not supposed to be. The sell whats popular now, and it works for them. Glad I found this spot.

So the first digital bookstore has now become a physical bookstore?! It blew my mind.I all honesty, its laid out well. Its like Amazon is physical form, so popular and unique products are front and center. Really liked how the books were laid out so covers were completely visible (not just the spine). It did not feel over crowded, and it was very clean.

I like that you can get other Amazon products then just books.

My go to book store! So nice to have a book store. My daughter and I used to joke Mommy where are the book stores in Bethesda? My response there used to be a big beautiful bookstore..then one day, people stopped reading books, and all the book stores closed. Lol. This specific store always has the books I look for. Recently, I called and they confirmed they had the book I was looking for and placed it on hold. When I opened the door, there was an Associate available who pointed me in the right direction. I showed the cashier my Amazon prime card and got 48% off THE HARD COPY!!!! BTW read the book Educated by Tara Westover (it was assigned to my daughters summer reading project)My classical music is on Amazon

What I like is how quick and easy it is to return an Amazon purchase here. Just get a return bar code from the online site and bring it and the product into the store. It takes less than a minute once you are in the store. No need to repackage the product. Just bring everything into the store in what ever state of disarray it may be in.

Always parking in the adjacent lot. This store offers an Ease of return and friendly staff who are kniwledgeable & patient. .

We are big Amazon customers. Having a physical store so close to home is a blessing. You can quickly pick up Amazon gift cards in gift boxes and check out the latest Amazon electronics. This store doesnt compare to the one in Georgetown in terms of size but it works just as great for returns.

A large selection of books, very polite and professional staff.

This store used to clean up after itself - it used to take back all that envirnmentally wasteful packaging that Amazon generates, now they tell you to go across the street a dump it at the Giant. So, the worlds richest company run by one of the worlds richest people that generates piles of unrecyclable packaging and expects a low margin buiness which they are trying to destory to clean up after their mess. It is beyond despicable. Avoid the store, boycott amazon.

I am super excited about this store. On another note..I read a review about children in the store and couldnt help but to ask some questions. Were the kids standing in the chairs? If so, why were they standing in chairs? Were you providing proper supervision when the children were using the step stool? It kind of reads to me they handled the situation in a proper manner due to the children not being properly supervised.

This is a neat place which updates its products with some frequency. Its basically a show room for books, games, smart home devices, and other odds and ends. Kinda has a hipster feel, but that makes sense given the location. Certainly worth a look if youre perusing Bethesda.

I like this place a lot. It still maintains the feel of a regular brick and mortar store, and it also updates the experience with a lot more technology in the store. The best thing about this store is that you can make your Amazon returns here after you initiate it online. So this is a convenient drop-off for anyone in the area. I was visiting my parents and had to make a return and found this store. I was very impressed at this drop-off feature. The workers in the store are super nice and do not show the overworked, underpaid type of vibe that the general public has associated so much with Amazon employees. I hope that these very professional workers are paid well too.

I really like this place! They allow you to return amazon items that you bought online and they box it for you later. You just drop it off and they scan your phone its really easy and quick. It just takes a few minutes and there is hardly ever a line. The only thing you cant return there is anything with a lithium ion battery.They also sell odds and ends there and books of course.

Never knew it existed until I had to pick up a Treasure Truck order. Awesome people and great atmosphere! Would highly recommend if you want to see Amazon as a brick and mortar!

Very nice little shop. Clean, organized, well staffed and very prettt, but I cant help but ask myself why?. A shop that exclusively stocks books and Amazon gadgets at Amazon prices seems unnecessary. Why not just order from amazon at that point and save the trip?

Only about 1/3 of the store has books, and the ones they have are basically top sellers and a few classics. Reminds me of an airport book store, mostly. The other 2/3 is Kindles and various gadgets that some AI probably thought would sell well in Bethesda. Its basically Brookstone without massage chairs.But Im not complaining, because I can walk in and return stuff from Amazon without boxing it up.

I was surprised to see this store when we were in Bethesda. I thought they only had kiosks. I like that that they carry various brands of tech goods, not just Amazon products. Service was great! They dont accept cash, only credit card.

Good shopping experience, very similar to surfing the online store. Apart from the classical book sections (fiction, non-fiction, etc), Amazon recommends you books based on what youve enjoyed reading in the past. Prices are dinamically matched to the web. You can also find some other Amazon items (Alexa, Kindle..) and return items youve bought online at no cost (not necessarily books, I returned a box of dish washer detergent I bought by mistake!). Staff is very friendly!

Mediocre bookstore whose principal purpose is to make it easy to return things from Amazon (its very good at that part). Note that you can buy common, useful Amazon products there, such as AmazonBasics batteries. That is a nice feature.

The irony is not lost on me. The brick and mortar book stores were run out of business by Amazon. And now, here I am, loving my time in an actual book store. I know, I know. But I love this place. Yes, the selection is curated and therefore there are not three floors full of books. But every time Im in here, I discover something I hadnt seen or a new book I had not heard of. Its a luxury lost with online shopping, the experience of glancing around and impulse purchases. (my last trip resulted in a tin box set of old school Babysitters Club books!) And I enjoy buying books as gifts knowing the recipient can return here.

Amazon Books just makes me sad. Its nice if you want to grab a new popular book, or an Amazon device, or even make a return. But it doesnt fill the whole that Barnes and Noble left on Bethesda Row.

We lost our Barns and Nobel store in down town Bethesda... instead we got amazon store which is packed with stuff ..when you go there you cant even easily walk, cant even breath...cause of this tragedy has been rooted in Amazon strategy; means having unlimited eager to destroy all other business...and of course his CEO being in the news everyday as a the top richest man of the world with more than $160 B dollars ..this is ridiculous...

All you ever need!

The bookstore itself is fairly small compared to something like the Barnes and Noble that closed, but it still has a wide and varied selection of good books. Amazon has plenty of data to know exactly what books are best to put in the store. Besides the books, theres tech and games to buy. You can check out with your Amazon account on your phone, which is an even simpler process than using a credit card. Its very convenient, but at the same time a little scary.

The staff are friendly and nice. Store is very organized and well kept. The kids section is great. Theres lots of children books with great variety.

Absolutely love this store. The help is amazing and knowledgeable. If you have any Amazon returns pick this location, they will scsn your QR cade and you are Done! In and out in under 2 minutes! FOR A RETURN! It was so easy. Right on Bethesda Row, there are a bunch of places to eat, shop and relax. Enjoy!

Modest book selection. Poor selection of periodicals. Good selection of book readers and IT tech to read books electronically. For those who like their books and magazines on paper with covers, selection here is much thinner than a Books a Million or a Barnes and Noble.

I didnt know these existed! And you get the same price as online with your prime membership. Since I was traveling I didnt want to buy a lot here but they have more than books. I found a few books but also find some fun gifts.

Kinda hard to see it on the Row! Used to work at the Barnes and Noble on the opposite end that is now Anthropologie and a bar/restaurant I believe. Amazon books is much smaller than the old B&N, with fewer selections. Staff was nice though!

The staff was very helpful in explaining the Amazon system for books. He stated the books are chosen by readers online. The books are 4 stars. I like the Childrens section with a nice selection of books. The staff member shared that the pricing is different. There are scanners that show Prime Member pricing and list price for non Prime Members. There is a Launchpad Section for Amazon to try out new ideas. It is a great idea concept. The advantage of buying books at Amazon Books is you dont pay shipping.

Its sleek and pretty but it has a very small and highly curated selection of books people are calling popular right now. They have 1/3 the store devoted to Amazon tech products. And lastly, they have 1/3 of the store devoted to children. It is a poor substitute for Barnes and Noble.

Great store, way more than just books

At first I was disappointed in the size until I realized that they only carry the best of the best books. I often leave bookstores empty handed, but I found a couple books that not only make a nice addition to my library, but were also very enjoyable.

I went to the Amazon Book store today (First day open!) and ABSOLUTELY loved it. The entire decor and environment was warm and inviting and staff were more than friendly and helpful. I was able to buy a FireTV Stick that I have wanted for a while- trying a hands-on demo with it convinced me to buy it. Checkout was also really easy and super fast! I will definitely be coming back here to buy some books!

Amazon does a great job of reminding books you will like if you like a particular book. I have followed a number of their recommendations with a good result.The selection is limited but seems to be very relevant and fits a variety of tastes.You can pay with your Amazon account.

Their selection was pretty good, they had a lot of big name books but honestly its almost the same as shopping on Amazon. There was nowhere to sit and read and the experience was almost like shopping at a fancy convience store that carries books. At least on the website they dont put a ton of their products on display to entice you to buy them. Oh wait.
