Great selection of products friendly staff

This store is closing down. The discounts are good, but the inventory is limited. Its worth stopping by to browse around and see what catches your eye, but if you need something very specific, I might recommended taking your search elsewhere. Its a great place to shop for stocking stuffers, though!

Actually found helpful staffer in the Lands End section. Still stocking only a very few items in the plus size range -- staffer very cheerfully offered to order whatever I wanted for free delivery to the store. But I hate to shop and only do so when I need something now, and clothes (surpassed only by shoes) must be tried on. So, points for polite, helpful, available staffer, but minus points for missing out on a significant segment of the market.

We bought a mattress set from the store in Bethesda, MD and it will be delivered to our winter home in Florida. We have done this before and it works perfectly. The salesman knew his stuff and we were pleased with his efforts.

Great tools selection! Love my Craftsman tools! Sears has everything. Appliances, clothing, beds. Everything you could possibly need for your home , garage and all your outdoor needs and wants. Sears used to sell homes! I was in one last night in Barnesville MD. Gorgeous home. Sears keep it going.

This store is closing down in February. I browsed this store a week before Christmas and they selection was pretty large, especially the mens department. The discounts are very steep, and there are signs all over the store indicating what discounts apply to what merchandise. If you are looking to browse for bargains, this is a good place to go, however no returns are accepted here, and I was told that on some merchandise all sales were final. When I shopped here, only one person was manning the check out desk, so it took about 15 minutes for me to get through the checkout line and make my purchase.

I am not sure what the befits of not shopping online are anymore. If you want to use the warranty, you need to call someplace else. Whats the point? Good price. good store, not that great with warranty.

I went to Sears to purchase a dishwasher. The tech was very friendly and helpful assisting me with all the details. They also have a large selection of all kinds of appliances at great prices!

I had forgotten about Sear (and other department stores) thanks to online shopping -especially Amazon - but have rediscovered this Sears and love it. The customer service is great and the deals on tools and houseware items are amazing. Yes, you may have to wait in line to pay or to ask a question, but you also have to wait to pay at the grocery store. This store has a hometown feel to it and Im happy to wait to get a good deal while supporting committed long-term employees. Finally, the order online pickup at store feature is great. I am no longer shopping at Amazon where the same or similar item is available at Sears.

Over the past weekend I had a great experience with the ladies in the kids department. I had a large order request and had to buy part of my order online and in the store.The cashier was GREAT from start to finish. She assisted me with finding a dressing room, a pen/ paper to write purchase details and helped me find someone to assist with the online order placement (We were there over 4 hours). Finally when she was on lunch she shut the registry station and took my final sale. The other lady stood for over an hour helping me complete my large online order and assisted my daughter and I with finding the hard to locate items selected in her size. The web site was difficult but with her help we were able to get the items my daughter chose.This was a great experience for my daughter. It was a Christmas gift from a grandparent out of town for her to go on a shopping spree and my daughter and I left very happy because we know she will have her gifts before the holiday. Customer service was above and beyond. We want to thank you both for all your help...I know I couldnt have done it without you; I would have been frustrated and you all definitely helped me keep cool!

Electronic department people sold me out stupid vacuum cleaner and set me up year contract for lease but giving me only , receipt for 5 months receipt and now I am trying to cancel it and it looks like it is impossible to do it , because i have to pay another 100s of dollars, to be able to cancel it . Be very very careful dont let it go just without attention ! Warning , people dont trust people who tries open credit or some other stuffs !

Still in pretty good shape as of mid-December even though the store is slated to close in February. Does not accept any returns now--youll need to take those to another Sears location.

Great store and great staff. They have great deals on clothing at Lands End, they also have the best tools - craftsman! They also have a outside Keyshop that makes car keys - great prices!

We went here Sat of labor day weekend. I was surprised that a big sale weekend right before school that they were not adequately staffed. We could only find one register open. The signage for sales were poorly placed and the clothes were very disorganized. It was also difficult to find a dressing room. We were close to the Lands End section. They had a dressing room but we I werent allowed to use it so had to go to the other end of the store. Dont usually shop there and wont again!

The signs have the wrong pricing sometimes which is confusing because once you get to the register its a different price. Not all of their price checker machines are in working order. Long lines and hard to find employees to help you. Very low foot traffic consistently which is very scary. I wish them all the best but it feels like a ghost town in there.

Stay away at all costs. They refused to return or exchange an item after multiple attempts to fix it--claiming it was beyond the 30 day window. Customer service, managers at the store--all of the employees are not conniving and seem uninterested in customer service.

This is more of an obituary than a review, because this location, like many other Sears, is closing soon. Can no one save Sears; is no one interested in saving this notable remnant of Americas history? How about the Board hires some visionary Marketing company to Save our Sears (SOS)???? They need a new path forward, e.g. everything at Sears is made in America, or similar. In any case, this location used to be one of the best, with helpful and knowledgeable staff, a broad variety of tools appliances, etc, and a good location at Montgomery Mall with plenty of parking. I have bought mattresses, refrigerators, patio sets, tools, and more at that Sears, and Im very very sorry to see it going. Now, of course, it has been gutted, as they are starting their Going Out of Business sale, due to an administrative error that has pushed them out of the mall.

The store is lifeless and dirty. Most of the workout equipment is already damaged or covered in stains. Even before the company was going out of business the store was already pretty lifeless and the lack of employees never helped. The only reason to come to Sears no is for the nostalgia or the end of the company sales going on before liquidation.

The manager is awful. I received no help at all. I was going to buy a pair of shoes and they were on sale for 59 regular price 105 I got to the register the lady said they were regular price. I told her all the shoes were were on sale went back to take a picture and showed her. I asked to speak to the manager and the manager said he would give them for 74.99 instead of 59.95 like why? Why not be ethical and honor It and not argue with a customer?I had edvidence of the 59.95 and showed IT to him. I went back and they had taken down the sale price for every shoe.I find this ridiculous. The manager should be able to honor something if they haven’t been keeping up with their merch sales. He was completely rude. There was poor customer service. They only had one cashier who looked like she didn’t know what she was doing.This store has poor management skills.

PORTRAIT STUDIOSThe manager/photographer Heather was absolutely horrible. When I first came in she asked me if I was her 8 oclock appt, i said yes and she rudely replied yeah and I close at 8. I made my appointment online and there was an opening so I took it. At first she was impatient with my son and all she did was told him to sit down and took a couple pictures and was done.I ordered 30 greeting cards and I called 2 days after my pick up date to get more copies because I realized I needed more. So I talked to heather and she tried to hurry the conversation and didnt give me any type of information. I explained her who I was and wanted to get more copies and she said fine and to just come in that day. A young African American girl with glasses with a piercing under her lip was there; she was rude and super unprofessional. Right when I got there I told her I called earlier to ask if i can make some more copies of some pictures I already ordered. She replied well I wasnt here earlier so I wouldnt know while giving me a blank look like she doesnt work there. She kept giving me an attitude and kept telling me she doesnt know what I was talking about because she wasnt the one who I spoke with or took my pictures, she then supposedly couldnt find my file. After all that she found them and told me I wouldnt get them till after Christmas. Yea never again

I consider myself a very patient person, but Im afraid the Sears Westfield Mall store has really pushed my limits. Its completely chaotic in here. I have been walked past by multiple times by a gentlemen called Nana who was incredibly rude, not even turning around to answer my question but instead pointing fingers into other directions. It took me 30 minutes to check out on a non-busy Sunday night simply because there was a shortage of staff at the cash registers and everyone was walking around ignoring customers. This store is a mess.

I had a real problem with Sears last week.I was told on the phone that they have a repair department that can repair everything from irons to computers. Shlepped an iron that suddenly refused to steam properly and a calculator that suddenly wont print to Searsonly to be told that there is no such department.Whomever I spoke to should be fired!!Maxine Schwartzman

Worst customer service experience. Literally spent 26 minutes waiting for someone to approach and help me with getting information on treadmills. Patiently waited, never made a scene. The floor manager I know for a fact saw me but purposely chose to ignore me. With 30 minutes left til the store closes, I think he was more focused on counting his cash register then helping a ready to buy customer. I definitely didn’t expect that type of service in this store. But I guess there’s a first for everything. I know where I’m not going to be purchasing my treadmill from.

Worst pickup experience. I chose pay-at-pickup for an online order. Got directed and redirected by several check out staff, and had to wait for more than 10min before someone actually looked at my order. Then I was told my order could not be retrieved because I was not the person who placed the order although I was authorized to pick it up. It took me almost 30min to finally pick up my order. Will never shop there again, online or instore.

Good prices. Nice deals and easy to shop the store not overcrowded or anything.

Better options here than the one in Gaithersburg

The things at sears seem so overpriced for the quality which I am getting. I feel like I can find better deals online or at other stores.

Went in to buy a,washer and dryer. Salesman walked away when he thought we were not ready to buy. Eventually did buy because the price was good. Delivery was flat out awful. Rude delivery people who left trash in my home, driveway and neighbors driveway, stained carpet. When I called Sears, the manager I spoke to ,AJ, informed me the delivery people were third party agents not employed by Sears and there was nothing he could do. So rude sales people and not taking responsibility for the behavior of their agents, stay away.

Sears has always been a nice store to shop at. Its to bad there werent a lot more people shopping there because there were a lot of great deals. The store is clean and in Montgomery Mall where theres plenty of parking.

I was at Sears Optical and everything went fine, no complaints.

BEWARE: Service on appliances is awful. You will wait a minimum of 10 days and more likely 2-3 weeks. Not enough technicians in DC area to service properly.BEWARE: Washing machines repairs....do not sign the completion slip from the technician until you see that your machine has completed a full cycle.Wanted to give 1/2 star

Overall I think they do a great job, and I will be sad if they go under. Try buying from sears instead of Amazon if you want this store to be here.

Their technicians are awful. They have reschedule on me 3 times and have not shown up to any of the appointments or even bothered calling to let me know they were not going to make it. Not until my tenant called them to see where they were did they say they had to reschedule for another 10 days out. We have been trying to get a washer and refrigerator repaired for over 3 weeks now and cant even get a technician to show up to a schedule appointment. They are awful and extremely unprofessional. Stay away.

Unfortunately this Sears is closing very soon. With it will be my optical doctor and my favorite place at one time to buy electrical equipment, tools and lawn mowers.

So depressing to see this chain going down the drain due to its inability to change with the times. Failure of CEOs and COOs that employees are paying for.

Sears customer service is the absolute worst! Spoke to four different people, who didnt know what to do. Will never ever shop there again! Took 30 plus minutes to give me a full refund on defective washer/dryer that was returned by sears a month ago. Complete idiots, its no wonder theyre going out of business.

Great experience! The service was excellent!

I called in asking about a dremel that their website said was in stock. I didnt want to drive there if it wasnt there. The person who answered the phone (in the specific section for hand tools) said he didnt know what it was, so no, they didnt have it. He didnt even check the computer or anything. Not helpful at all.

Store is quite old, merchandise and IT infrastructure is outdated, which causes solid delays in order processing. Though staff helps a lot: slowly, but surely your orders to be processed.

They dont want to work. I came for wheels alignment and they said that the car makes noises. I tried to explane that I replaced the entire system did not work, they did not want to work on the car. Lost a customer
