Replaces an old furnace and new A/C install. The cost was unbeatable with a great system like Trane. Very impressed by the work and the teams politeness. They explained everything they did and made sure it all worked as expected.

I got their recommendation from Nextdoor website. Ignition element was out. I called and they were at my home in 45 minutes. They accepted the 15% coupon on their website, even though the repair was not eligible. Very knowledgeable, patiently explained the issue and let me watch the repair. 3 weeks later, heater went out again and again prompt 20 minute service. This time a sensor was dirty and there was no charge. I will definitely be calling them when I need to replace my furnace. Thank you!

Our AC unit died in late June with family coming for a week long stay. Although they could not install our new unit, John arranged for Juan and Austin to install a loaner AC unit the next day - at no charge!!! The loaner unit got us through the hot period of June/July. Our new unit was installed on July 30. Very impressed with the work of Juan and Austin on both occasions. Weve used a different AC/furnace vendor for many years. However, after this experience we will be using Woodruff and Smith from this point on.

Great service at a reasonable price

Woodruff and Smith put a new HVAC system in our house 15 years ago. They did a great job and we have only had a couple of minor issues since. Every time we have needed service, they have responded quickly and resolved the issue. Their technician, Mike, came to look into a potential problem with our condenser yesterday and handled the call quickly, professionally and honestly. It turned out to be a minor problem, but he could have exaggerated it if he were so inclined. This is our go-to company for all HVAC needs.

Installed entire AC system. Very professional people and organization. Gentlemen who installed the system were easy to work with and a pleasure to have in the home. We were comfortable enough to allow them to work on the project when we werent home! As a degreed mechanical engineer system works great and would highly recommend them.

Mike was very professional and thorough with the work that he performed, clearly explaining what he found and how the various issues were resolved. Very happy with Woodruff and Smith who has been servicing my heating and air conditioning for the past 15+ years.

I highly recommend Woodruff & Smith Heating and Cooling. My 20 year old furnace died. They were able to install a new furnace at a reasonable cost within a day or two. Juan and Austin were hard workers and even wore masks and gloves to protect everyone. I am very pleased with how quickly they responded and the fact that they did not try to take advantage of the situation.

Austin and Juan, Were amazing to deal with and really awesome people. I had a few issues with my install and everyone was on top of it and fixed it to a perfect level. I doubt the issues i had were related to the install itself. Ive recommended them to a few people and all have had good experiences.

We own two properties and have been working with W&S for 10 years. We purchased a high efficient air conditioner and furnace for the one property ten years ago and they still run as well as they did when new.We just purchased an air conditioner for the other house and it was installed within 24 hours.For those ten years we have used them for annual maintenance at both properties and the service and responses to a couple of emergencies were as quick as we could hope.Obviously we have been very pleased with both the service and products that we have received from W&S over the last ten years.

I would absolutely NOT use Woodruff and Smith Heating and Cooling, Inc.After plunking down a sizable amount for a new heat pump. Installation was not entirely completed as unit was literally inches from water tankand filter nearly impossible to change and confirmed by technician as well.Owner indicated they could come back and move water tank. We agreed upon a day for which I would take off from work and have this done twoweeks from then. I made about 6-7 calls both to business/and personalcell phone number given. No returned calls until finally, I was able tocatch Mr. Smith and he said he would be at my house on agreed upon date around 1 pm. I waited all afternoon - no calls to say running late oreven if having to reschedule........just a no-show. Bottom line -Totally unacceptable, totally unprofessional but very willing to cash check with no follow-up. On top of all this, I have no paperwork, warranty infoand a thermostat that is not working properly but unable to get themto respond or address issues at hand. Not a company of their word.The shame of it is I have 2 friends wanting to install new furnaces andwaiting to see how if I would recommend then. All I can say is NO -there are many reputable HVAC companies out there that stand behindtheir service.

Had AC installed this month and they were great! The workers came at the time they said they would, worked so hard, and made sure everything was running smoothly. We also have two pets at home and I felt the workers went above and beyond to guarantee their safety while they came in and out of our house. Would definitely recommend!

We had a Trane air conditioner installed by Woodruff and Smith in 2006, spending money for a Trane thinking we would have it for a good many years. After the first five years, the problems started. While Woodruff was responsive for several years, filling it with freon because apparently there was a leak that we even paid other companies to try to find, every single year it needed attention. Plain and simple, it was a lemon.The unit just turned thirteen years old, the freon was filled as per our request, in May 2020 because the unit did not work again. Three weeks later it stopped throwing cold air again. It was a 92 degree day, we called Woodruff to request service. When he finally called back after 2 phone calls to his service, he ended up hanging up on my husband and told us to find somebody else. So after 13 years, Trane completely died. We are now having to have a new unit installed by a reputable company. I would not recommend Woodruff and Smith to anybody.

Our 23 yr old Rheem 2-stage furnace died during the coldest night of the 2019-2020 winter to date so we awoke to a very frigid home. We contacted W&S because they had installed our Trane AC unit a few years back and had done PM on both systems. We werent surprised by the issue and were pleased when a very affable & knowledgeable tech was expediently dispatched. With the cost of a new motor being approximately 20% of the cost of an entirely new unit, we decided upon complete replacement. We have been treated fairly and communication was also exemplary. The new Trane 2-stage furnace is powerful and quiet! Warmth us a wonderful thing! The ability to apply online for 12 months same as cash financing was quick and easy too!

Very fast and efficient service. Mr. Woodruff himself has called me to check on things and is involved in the whole process which shows he cares and goes above and beyond. My heater would not turn on at all when it was below 30 degrees , Mr Woodruff had his worker Mike (who is also a pleasure to deal with and very honest) here the same day 2 hours after I called. I have called Woodruff and Smith several times for service issues. They have always responded promptly and provided excellent service. They find a solution and have suggestions that are helpful. When it came time to replace our air conditioning, I did not hesitate to call them. The work was completed efficiently and timely. They are always professional and I highly recommend them.

Woodruff & Smith did a complete heating and air conditioning system replacement when I purchased my home in Mt. Lebanon (house built in 1939). This high efficiency system is running seamlessly at my home and without any issues to date. The selection process and installation by the W&S Team was timely, clean and very well done. I ordered a new furnace and air conditioner last summer. I was never given a final invoice and gave the rebate form to W & S employees to complete (with invoice and serial numbers) after weeks of waiting for Mr. Smith to return with an invoice(or mail it to me) and send for rebate. They never completed it. I inquired by phone, letter and text and never received my rebate. I have tried for months to get a response from Mr. Smith and he always has an excuse for not completing. I HAVE NEVER HAD SO MANY PROBLEMS WITH A COMPANY, EVER! I will never use their services again and I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau!

Terrible. Estimator came out to give me a quote, said it would be an easy install. Furnace shows up and it doesnt fit. Talked to the estimator and his only response was, Oh I should have measured, I just assumed it was the same size. I was told I would have to wait another week for the install, mind you my furnace was not working and its early December. I was also told that I would receive a call to set a firm date, not that I was going to give my money to these guys anyways, but no call. I would not recommend, I was even weary about the two younger gentlemen that came to install the furnace originally.

W & S were totally unprofessional in the way they handled my service call to repair my AC. The tech that came to handle the call was totally untrained in trouble shooting the problem. Did not seem to have any real knowledge of AC and kept making calls to John and taking pictures of the unit and not being able to diagnosis the problem or give me any idea of the cost to repair/replace the unit and not being willing to crawl under the house to check the pipes/wires/etc., and telling me this may be a 2 day job! (what?)....not having a drop cloth to protect my carpets and stating his reluctance get dirty ...... 1 1/2 hours and $150 later, I told him to leave. I honestly do not expect anyone to provide a service for free, however, I felt completely taken advantage of and paid for nothing. I had no idea what the problem was, were it was or the costs to proceed forward. This is not right. I called the office of W&S that afternoon and explained my dissatisfaction to the receptionist. When she asked me if I wanted a return call from either of the owners, I told her it really didnt matter to me, because I would never use them nor recommend them to anyone. Needless to say, I have not heard back from either owner, which speaks volumes!!!! NOT A GOOD WAY TO CONDUCT A BUSINESS. SHAME ON W&S.

A+++ Jon was prompt with a price quote to replace our furnace & a/c. The crew installed the furnace in a day & completed the a/c once the weather had turned warm. They moved the water heater to make room for the new furnace & left the area as clean & neat as before the installation.

John would stop over between jobs and trouble shoo if I had a problem until new unit was placed. I cant thank Woodruff and Smith HVAC enough 4 everything John did to keep me warm during the cold winter.👍

I called them after getting a ridiculously high quote to fix my furnace from Gillece. The tech that came was very professional and quick to fix the problem with 5 minutes. Charged me $75 to fix the furnace and now we have heat!!! I will definitely call them again if we need service on our furnace.
